Oh my wow! I never thought this would happen to me I actually won a raffle!, good game to everyone who entered as it's all for a good cause unbelieveable, but it's real Now time for a full story: When I noticed that Bzpower were doing several charity raffles, I was curious to see what prizes were on offer, when I saw the G1 collectibles I was immediately drawn in, the prizes were all great, hard to find masks and prototypes! I bought a ticket straight away, over the week before the end date I checked how many tickets where sold and calculated what the chance of me winning was. It has been raining all day, rain is my favourite weather and I consider it lucky, in any fictional stories I write rain always symbolises good luck, when I woke up I worked out that my chance of winning was 3.5%, so I got on with the rest of the day, looking forward to the results, though I seriously doubted that I would win, I even made a joke to myself that even if I didn't win at least me in an alternate universe would. in the afternoon I caught up with some friends I hadn't seen in years it was a nice experience and went well I eventually returned home, watched some Ninja Warrior on TV amongst other things and then went to work on another scene for my film Insectoids, acknowledging what time it was I opened up BZPower to check the results, nothing yet. After quickly checking some other things on my laptop I opened up BZPower again, immediately my eyes were drawn to 1 Notification and 1 Message, my heart was beating faster than usual at this point, I opened the notification, "A raffle you're participating in is completed" it read, I ran the mouse over to the messages, I thought what could this be, a "thank you for entering message" maybe, my heart continued to beat rapidly, and I begun to tremble, I clicked the icon, the new message was from Black Six himself, titled "Congratulations, CommanderKumo!" Time began to slow down, this was really happening! after all these years of entering, and failing competitions, my childhood dream of victory has finally been fulfilled! after a cold drink to let reality settle in I took no time in confirming my name and address to Black Six as requested in his message. What a truly great experience, it's great to see such wonderful things being done for charity and I thank everyone who entered, I'm certain that the money will help Sladechild accomplish it's goal.

When I moved on to primarily CCBS-based MOCing in 2015, I sold the vast majority of my G1 parts, only keeping my masks, some select armour and weapon pieces and a few of my favourite G1 sets. Since then however, I've started collecting more of my favourite G1 sets to keep - a few which I previously owned before the 2015 purge, and a few I've never had before. I've even started collecting Slizers sets, hoping to eventually end up having the entire set. Currently, the vast majority of my G1 collection is in pieces. Each set bagged up individually and archived in a big white box, so I can build them again at a later date for display. Four Roboriders, three Slizers and my Exo Toa however are stored - again, in pieces - in their original packaging. Currently, only Roodaka, Millenia Slizer and three other Slizers stand built on my shelf, as these are the most recent additions to my collection and I want to have them out on display for a bit before I go ahead and archive them. I mostly do this archiving business as I don't have much spare space in my room - my one shelving unit is already dominated by MOCs and books, and every other surface in my room either has storage or electronics on it. I could put up more shelves on the wall to the side of my bed, but they'd likely cover the entire wall and make things look messy. Maybe I'll be able to have all of my sets out on display when I move out on my own? So anyway, how do you store your Bionicle figures? Do you archive them like me? Are they all jumbled up in one parts bin? Or are you lucky enough to have them all out on display? EDIT: Apologies if this has been asked lots and lots before. Hey, I guess this is better than necroing an old thread, right?

Way way way back (like two years) an AFOL made a Kickstarter project for LEGO trading cards, called STUDS, to showcase various renowned builders in the fandom and their MOCs, among other aspects like conventions, publications, and achievements. Through a few LEGO conventions I was able to collect a handful of cards from people who had contributed early and had their own card(s) or packs to sell. Fun stuff! They finally made them available to the public and I eagerly ordered some (splitting shipping costs with a LUG friend and 55555). With some luck and a bit of trading I've got some cool stuff: On the back of the cards is a short bio of the creator/thing. My favorite is Paul Lee's LEGO Avengers card, which I'm showing off in the middle of a sheet. I also obtained 4 of Nathan Sawaya's cards. I've had a few things like Cajun's card and Norbert's card. After getting lucky and getting a signed card (by Bram Lambrecht, who I think was at BrickFest '06), I realized there were quite a few here I should have had signed when I first received them. Oh well. Some of these are just plain cool (Cole Blaq's Dragon, Mark Borlase's Hoth), some of them are from people I know personally (Dan Rubin's mech and Cajun's HR Giger), some I've met briefly (like meeting Megan Rothrock at NYCC for her LEGO Adventure Book we have at work), and others for other reasons either IRL or online. My goal is to put these on my wall like a poster to show off some cool LEGO art. (And I've got a few I'm still willing to trade, mostly in those last two pictures.) I'm quite happy with these additions to my LEGO collection. -CF (PS, Arpy is hidden in one of these cards!)

I'm a fledgling collector who's making a point to attain some of the 2001-2003 Bionicle sets. My major concern is with the coloration of the white pieces that often turn yellowish brown under certain conditions. Is there any way to preserve my Kopaka Mata's pure white? Thanks in advance for any info.
