End of An Island The red sun played tricks on his old eyes. Mirages of Matoran here, Rahi there. Some days, he thought he saw trees in the distance. He always laughed. There were no trees here. Not anymore. He would walk from one end of the flat expense to the next, and would always stop by the sealed door in the ground. The entrance to a dead universe, but they all wanted out, a long time ago. Before they died. Before the land above died. He rubbed at the chips in his mask, the holes and cracks of age and injuries. His back would creak, his knuckles would pop, and his feet dragged. But he would walk. Here, he would note, was where Tahu arrived, eons ago and here, he would nod, is where Tahu now rests. Here, on Mata Nui, is where they all rest. A final graveyard on top of a dead universe. He craned his neck skywards and squinted at the red sun. Swollen in age, it floated without strings in the grand expense of the sky, night and day. He strained to remember when it was yellow and small. Warm, inviting. He strained to remember when he and his friends played in the trees and the valleys, in the villages and in the markets. He strained to remember when life was full of promise, when the Great Spirit was to come and save them all. When the Toa Mata would save them and defeat Makuta. Something went horribly wrong that day. He remembered that much. The Toa Mata went down, and they came up. Makuta was dead, but he played a trump card. The Great Spirit died with him, and with him went the universe. It tooks eons upon eons, but all died. He remembered building the great seal to hold back the universe from their island. He remembered the cries of thousands of beings. Then he remembered when they realized the trees were dying. The grass were dying. The entire island dying. Some Matoran tried building boats and sailing away. Some went mad and killed themselves. Most, though, just went about their lives, hoping to live as long as possible. He remembered the Toa, all of them, doing what they could for the Matoran. He remembered Pohatu being killed by a mob of crazy Matoran. He didn't even try to fight back or escape; He was the first to give up. Gali was the last one. As the island failed, and grew unstable, she became trapped under a landslide. Nobody could pull her out. He wasn't sure many cared. And now, eons later, here he stood. The last Matoran of Ta-Koro, nay, the last Matoran of Mata Nui. And there stood that red sun, growing brighter and brighter. He hopped down in the hole he had dug for himself ages ago. With a teary glance, he patted the grave next to his. "Well, Jaller, old pal, it's been a good life. I'll see you on the other side." He looked up at the imploding star; ignoring the pain and the heat, he smiled, and an instant later he, and the entire planet, were reduced to dust.

Built for Sergei Rahkmaninoff as part of a joint Secret Santa project. Its a reimagining of one of this older mocs: Harrowed Angel. I tried mixing in some of his style with mine in this one.

This is for the wonderful Fishers64 in all her writer's glory. Actual topic here. Chapter 1 - The Overcooked Burritos Atiluny woke up to see a wall of water coming at him. Wondrous joy filled him at the sight of his favorite thing: drowning. He rushed towards the wall, arms extended, screaming "DADDY" until int knocked him flat. He grabbed onto a short bonsai and went unconscious. ---------- "Get up already!" Krakua rolled around in his sleep. The big night. If it wasn't for the fact that he was going to get a million widgets for playing here, he wouldn't have come, because he sucked as a musician. When the band started, he began singing the wrong tune. "Never gonna give you up-" Instantly tomatoes were flying at his face. He ducked most of them, hoping this would all be over soon. He got his wish. "Doggone pile of Muaka dung, MOVE!!!" Tobduke's slap sent him flying into the opposite wall, which was rather unfortunate, as a wall of water rushed through and whacked him unconscious. ---------- Krakua was on his face. He got up slowly, only to be knocked over by Helrix accidentally backing into him. "Oh. Pardon me, good sir. I have decided to rescue your person from certain catastrophic demise." Krakua was about to ask why the dumb accent when a shout was heard. "Krakua!" It had to be Tob the Duke. He quickly ran over to the edge of a rocky, barren cliff leading straight down to the water. Only, the problem was he didn't stop in time, so as his feet scrambled for a place to stand, he went plummeting into the water below. Tobduke, however, was on the rocks, dead, but wearing shades, a hawaiian shirt, and had some fruit punch. ---------- Somewhere else, black lilypads bobbed wondrously in a pool of nauseating green water, decorated with little neon orange flowers. Slides from a projector flashed; a picture of a Bula Berry Dinosaur, a hunter's gum, a lightsaber, a miserable insect, and Barney. A pair of eyes watched this absentmindedly, and from the floor, as they were just a pair of eyes. Totes real. The drain unplugged. Batman!

As usual, this story is not a sequel to any of my other epics, past, present, or future, so feel free to jump right in! The Review Topic Chapter 1 - The Wave Atilucen woke up to see a huge wall of water coming right at him. He stumbled backwards in the manner of an upside down crab across the rock had been lying on, but the water was coming much too fast for him to do much before it came down on top of his body. He felt his helmet hit the rock below him, and the pain jolted him to alertness. The current pushed him backwards, away from the shore. Frantically, he swam for the surface, yelling in pain as tree branches clunked against his armor. Sand swirled around him. His head broke the surface, and he snatched a breath. He grabbed onto a tree, struggling to keep his head above water. Then he struggled to hang on as the water rapidly reversed direction, trying to pull him out to sea. Gritting his teeth, his arms wrapped around the trunk, he managed to maintain his grip until the sea returned to its normal boundaries. That’s when he fell unconscious. * * * “Get up!” a voice yelled. Krakua groaned and rolled over. He was standing in front of his De-Matoran brothers, hands poised to begin. All he would have to do is strike the downbeat and… A horrible sound rang in his ears. A collection of the most bizarre notes imaginable, all strung together in the most horrible tune imaginable. His audience turned to mock him, laughing at his cobbled together De-Matoran band. “Toa Krakua, professional laughingstock!” “Look, they can’t even carry a tune!” Shuddering, he curled up beneath the podium in front of him, waiting for the jeering to stop. Just stop. “I said get up!” an enraged voice yelled. A hand shook him roughly, slamming him into a wall. A jolt of pain brought him back to consciousness. The bizarre notes still rang in his ears, a cacophony of sharply dissonant tones, as his eyes beheld the leering face of Tobduk. He tried to get up, and accidently hit said leering face with his Hau. The titan retreated a step to allow the Toa of Sonics to stand up off his bed. “Sorry,” said Krakua. “Move!” Tobduk said, grabbing onto Krakua’s arm and pulling him forcibly out of the room. Krakua wondered what he had done to earn Tobduk’s wrath now. Was his training not progressing well enough? He hurried to keep up with the Order Leader’s strides as he practically pulled the Sonics Toa into a run through the stone hallway of the fortress. That’s when he heard a rush of something that sounded like…water. A huge thunderclap as the wall to the left of him collapsed and he was carried away in a rush of water. “Krakua!” Tobduk yelled. But it was no use, as the Sonics Toa could not swim. The water had knocked the wind out of him, and all he could do was close his eyes and wait for death. * * * Krakua was on his back. And he was breathing air. Alive. The awful chords had ceased – the only sound in his ears was the roar of the ocean. He carefully tuned down his delicate audio receptors to avoid further distraction. “I decided to spare your life,” said Toa Helryx. “There is a great evil on the many waters I must defeat. My brothers have made many things wrong, and I must fix them.” Helryx? “It’s good to see you again.” Krakua said. But the Toa of Water was already walking away. He shook his head. What was going on? Could he have imagined it? Helryx had gone missing just before the universe ended. But why did she suddenly show up now? No, he was alive. He knew he was alive. He felt all of the pain from being battered about. Was Helryx behind that wave? He wondered. Is she trying to destroy us all? “Krakua!” a voice resounded from behind him. Tobduk. But where is he? The Toa of Sonics found that he was lying on a rocky outcropping, a triangle-shaped spit of cliff that connected with the general cliff edge that marked the ocean. He got to his feet, looking down over the rocky beach below. That’s when he saw the top half of Tobduk’s form lying on the rocks. Krakua shuddered, and looked around frantically for a way down. “I’m here” he said, loudly. But there was no way down that Krakua could see, and no response from below. * * * Somewhere else, green lilypads bobbed peacefully in a pool, decorated with beautiful pink flowers. A thin stream of water fell into said pool, making a small gurgling noise. A vent near the bottom let the water escape, so that it did not overflow the pool. The pool and the wall behind the water were made of clear glass. ROAR BANG CLAP SHING BEEP BOING CLAP ROAR SHING DONG… The room shook, and water splashed over the edge of the pool and across the floor. Images flashed; a picture of a Bota Magna dinosaur roar, a hunter’s gun, a sword, an insect, and then the dinosaur again. A pair of eyes watched this whole thing absently, strained, a stream of being coming from the agony of stillness. Not real. The stream dried up. Review Here.

This was my ninth attempt at a Dark Hunter, and is also one of my favourites. Overlord was once a ruler who enforced an oppressive regime on his island's people. For centuries he ruled through fear and faced no threats to his rule. That was until six matoran became Toa and overthrew him, freeing the matoran population. The ruler was consigned to the shadows, making several attempts to regain his rule, but was never powerful enough, so he waited for centuries, biding his time. Eventually, driven by desperation, he joined the Dark Hunters, taking on the name "Overlord", and the Shadowed One promised that one day his rule would be restored. Overlord is immensely strong and powerful, and has the ability to transport himself between places. He wields a double-bladed staff and has near-impenetrable armour. He is determined, and will not let anything stand in his way.

Now for something altogether simpler. I wanted to create a stocky, lumbering character that managed to have some degree of menace whilst being very slightly comical in appearance. I decided to use the "Axxon hands" for the gauntlets, and I added the chestplate and a few more grey bits just before rendering. The result, I find, is a satisfying mix of Bionicle and Hero Factory parts. "Gauntlet" was a short and stocky Dark Hunter, who preferred to live in damp and moist conditions. He was lumbering and ungainly, but he made up for his lack of maneuverability with his huge bladed gauntlets, which is where his codename came from. Few understood how he could be such an efficient Dark Hunter, but those who faced him and his blades seldom lived to tell the tale.

Yes, it's a Dark Hunter minifigure. And yes, he really is meant to be that size. "Infiltrator" was once the average size for a Dark Hunter (i.e. quite big). However, one of his missions led to him touching a cursed Kanohi Pehkui, which reduced him to just a fraction of his original size. Fortunately, his diminished state meant that he was the right size for sneaking around unnoticed, which was of great use on many missions. His reduced size did not make him any less savage, and he would relentlessly attack anyone who got in the way of his mission no matter how big they were. He carried a powerful combat staff that fired bolts of energy, as well as a hand held launcher that he used to fire deadly explosive discs. He was also one of the few Dark Hunters to wear a mask (albeit a miniaturised version) - the Kanohi Siluvak, the mask of unconsciousness, which allowed the user to put targets to sleep. And here's a comparison with another MOC to give you a sense of scale: Any feedback is always welcome! (Also, sorry about the picture quality. For some reason it's stopped letting me use the pictures I've uploaded to the LEGO Gallery.)

You might have seen my other MOC, Arthroporak, a great big centipede. Here is a MOC I'd made previously which inspired it. I made this first, but I came up with the backstory after making the Arthroporak. Most of the Bionicle MOCs I make on LDD are intended to be Dark Hunters, and this is one such Dark Hunter. "Crawler" was once a native of the Northern Continent. At some point, he was kidnapped for use in a series of experiments. It was during one of these experiments that he was merged with an Arthroporak, becoming a monstrous multi-legged creature, and this transformation allowed him to escape by smashing his way out of the facility. As there was no longer a place for him in his homeland, he joined the Dark Hunters. After many years serving the organisation, he still feels hatred towards the mysterious group who changed him into his current state. After being merged, Crawler gained a variety of new abilities. He inherited the venom palps and flexible tail of an Arthroporak, as well as a venomous bite. He also wielded four sets of protosteel talons with his four front limbs. Perhaps his most interesting power was his ability to grow new segments of his body, something an Arthroporak cannot do. He could regenerate lost segments no matter how much of his main body had been lost. This meant that he could only be killed by destroying his heavily armoured head.

Welcome, one and all, to the fully playable video game entry to the Ninjago Monster Contest! Without any further ado, here we go! Objective: Venture through four environments and fight the bosses to access the Dark World and stop the Demon God! Genre: RPG (Role-Playing-Game) Controls: Z/Space ~ Confirm X ~ Cancel/Menu Arrow keys ~ Movement/Menu navigation Mechanics: If you seriously don’t know how an RPG works, how are you even using a computer? Buuut, since it’s in the rules, here we go: You wander around fulfilling various quests and having random encounters with a variety of monsters. The battle system is turn-based, meaning you take a turn to attack or defend, then the enemy gets a turn, and so on and so forth. By defeating enemies, you gain experience. Get enough experience, and you can level up, enhancing your abilities and sometimes even learning new skills. Art Style: Basic RPG Maker art style, i.e. very anime-esque. Story and Characters: The characters are Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane from the Ninjago line of Lego products. If you don’t know their personalities already, why on Earth are you playing this game? The story is simple: Creatures from a Dark World have started surfacing in the various lands of Ninjago, prompting the ninja to try and find a way into the Dark World and put a stop to the invasion before all of Ninjago is consumed. Description: You play as the main four ninjas, travel to four different locations based on their elements, beat the elemental demons, collect the crystals, rinse and repeat until you get to the lair of the Demon God and put a stop to his evil schemes. A short, silly game that shouldn't take more than a half hour to beat. Screenshots: Follow this link to the album, and gaze upon the wonders of this game! Download Link Have fun, and happy playing! Note: I do not own any of the assets in this game. All credit for them goes to their original creators. Well, this was a complete waste of time. Barely any votes and a complete lack of feedback. I guess that's 13 hours of my life I'll never get back.

Before you read, here is a little backstory. This short story is set in an alternate future where a King rules over the reformed Spherus Magna. The heroes of my other stories serve as Knights to protect the king. Oh, and in this universe, I have both genders for each element of Toa, cause why not. Enjoy the story! Knightmare Sir Jalokim walked through the corridors of King Sekatala's castle in New Atero. He had been awoken from his slumber by his fellow Knights, being told that there was an intruder in the castle. According to Tamaru, head scout of the Knights of New Atero, it was one of the rebels that the Knights had been defending the King from for about 500 years. These fools just don't know when to quit. It took Jalokim a while to realize that it was awfully quiet in the castle. He thought he ordered Nylehsa to sound the alarm, but even his memory was being affected by age. Jalokim had lived a long life by now, even for a Toa. The old Knight heard a sound. Probably nothing, he thought, as even he knew he had hallucinations from time to time. Jalokim decided just to make sure. Being cautious is what kept him alive for 100 000 years. The Toa of earth turned the corner where he heard the sound come from. What met him made his heartlight stop. It was a giant mask. Not just any mask, a giant blue Noble Huna. The same mask belonging to Toa Seerah, someone he thought he had buried in his mind forever. Jalokim stood there as the mask stared at him with large, empty eyeholes. The mask was judging him. It forced Jalokim to remember all the choices he made, everything that others would have been too afraid to do. Jalokim forced himself to turn around, only to see another Huna. Everywhere he looked, he saw the “face” of the Toa he trusted the most, looking at him as if he were worthless. The Knight dropped his sword and collapsed. The Toa of earth was taking large, quick breaths. His heartlight flashed like a strobe light. His mind raced. He kept on apologizing to the masks, but they seemed to press closer, as if Jalokim had just proved his guilt. After a while, the faces disappeared. A blue and white Toa of water wearing a blue Huna steps up from where the faces were. She unlimbered her crossbow and took aim at Jalokim. She fired. The projectile struck Jalokim in the gut, blasting a hole in him. Jalokim writhed on the floor in agony. Two cloaked figures appeared with blasters and shot Jalokim in different parts of his body. “That's what you deserve for not helping me, 'Sir' Jalokim.” said the Toa of Water. Everyone disappeared. Jalokim, still being in extreme pain, checked his wounds. The projectiles had lodged themselves into the holes they made in his body. It wouldn't exactly be pretty if they got dislodged. Jalokim slowly rose to his feet. Pain coursed through his body. He nearly passed out right there, but something kept him going. He needed to find the other Knights, alert the King even. As he made his way to the throne room, Jalokim reflected on his life so far. He was created by the Great Beings as one of the protectors of Mata Nui while he was still being constructed. In the early days, Jalokim helped found the Hand of Artahka, acting as the head of intelligence in the group. After the Hand of Artahka was disbanded, Jalokim travelled the Matoran Universe. During his travels, he ran into several Toa, and eventually they banded together to form the Toa Rozo. Each member wasn't like your average Toa in the Matoran universe, each had been created by the Great Beings as Toa from the start. Each Toa had something else which separated them from the rest. Eventually, the Hand of Artahka returned as the Order of Mata Nui, and recruited the Toa Rozo as a black ops subgroup. The Toa Rozo would guard the Dimensional borders from inter-dimensional threats as well as execute covert tasks for the Order. Jalokim and his Toa Rozo had many adventures in alternate universes, but unfortunately, not everyone survived to see tell the tale. Only Three members of the Toa Rozo remain, the three being Jalokim, Seerah, and Dranoel. The Toa Rozo inspired the birth of another Order of Mata Nui subgroup, the Chronicler's Company, with the Rozo's former Chronicler leading them. When the Red Star was destroyed, leaving Mata Nui stranded on a distant planet he was studying, the Toa Rozo aided the Chronicler's company in finding resources to upgrade Mata Nui's propulsion systems to escape the planet's orbit. Eventually, Mata Nui succeeded in his mission of restoring Spherus Magna, only to discover that a Makuta had ruled the planet in Mata Nui's absence. Normally, the Makuta would have been detained, but this Makuta was not corrupt like his brethren from his native dimension. In fact, this Makuta had saved Mata Nui from falling asleep in his dimension. The Makuta had welcomed the Matoran Universe inhabitants, and Turaga Dume of Metru Nui, representing all species of the Matoran Universe, agreed to joining the Commonwealth of Spherus Magna. Thus, the Makuta ruled all species as King Sekatala. The King formed a group of legendary warriors known as the “Knights of New Atero” to serve as the protectors of his Kingdom. Jalokim was knighted and appointed as leader of the Knights. Not everyone liked the idea of having one being to rule over all, so Seerah formed the rebellion. Jalokim never heard from her until this night. Jalokim made a mental note to let someone else take command of the Knights. He was getting old, and his mental illnesses were starting to get worse. He was worried he would lead the Knights to their demise if he continued leading. He would still serve as a Knight, but he would rather have someone more capable to lead. The pain Jalokim felt started to get the better of him. He stumbled forward and fell. When he hit the ground, he noticed that his midsection was getting cold... To his horror, the projectiles had dislodged themselves. The hole was massive.... and his organic components were spilling out of it. Jalokim's heart sank. This was the end. There was no way he could survive his internal organs exiting his torso from his wound for long. Jalokim went limp. He couldn't feel anything. Then, everything slowly went dark... Jalokim woke in his quarters with a start. His heartlight flashed rapidly, his breathing ragged. It had all been a dream. Or was it? How could he be so sure? After all, without the Red Star, no one knew what happened after death. Jalokim heard a knock at his door. “Enter.” Nylehsa, weapons specialist of the Knights of New Atero and former leader of the Chronicler's Company, stepped in. “Jalokim, his majesty would like to see you about a personal matter you brought to his attention.” Jalokim rose, wondering what it could be. “Did he say what it was?” “Something about your mental health, that's all I know. Hey, are you alright?” “Am I ever?” With that, Jalokim pushed Nylehsa aside and left for the throne room. Hopefully, this would all be sorted out soon. To Be Continued in "Shadow of Logic"

So I'm going to be writing this. And it's probably going to get pretty dark and stuff by the time it's done. But I think it'll be fun. Review Topic Prologue I am Toa. My name? I just gave it to you: Toa. That is all I am called here, for truly, that’s all I am. They have never given us names. That would be silly, like trying to name every grain of sand on the beaches of Ga-Wahi. Utterly ridiculous. Ever since the dawn of time, when the Great Spirit Mata Nui graced us with our lives, there has been one in control. We never knew who or what he was, and we weren’t allowed to ask. He demanded us to call him Speaker. And he deemed it well that Toa existed, and he wished for there to be more. It was discovered by him that a Toa could create Toa Stones, which would enable six Matoran to become Toa. It was never told to us what became of the “donor” Toa, but we didn’t care. We had six new Toa, and we were happy with that. Not two days ago, I was a Po-Matoran. Now I am a Toa. I stood next to my worktable, carving an eye for a Toa statue that was to go up in Kini-Koro, one of the thousands there, dotted across the landscape. Some had been turned into protodermis fountains, some had been set up as memorials. But all were there to remind us of the high priority, creating as many Toa as possible. I opened a drawer on my workstation and pulled out a chisel, preparing for the detail work, when I was approached by a brown Toa. I recognized him as an old once-matoran friend of mine, Teharen. I looked up at him, slightly hesitantly. Even though I knew him before, his being a Toa, it still unnerved me. “Hello, Retras,” he said to me. I nodded. “Hello, Teharen.” “It’s time for you to become a Toa,” he said abruptly. I looked up in shock. Sure, his appearance here was unprecedented, but I had decided that he had come to catch up, or something. But becoming a Toa. He had always dreamed of being one, and the statistics, well, the fact was that eventually, every Matoran would become a Toa at one point or another in their lives. But to actually become one was…unthinkable. But what an honor. “Thank you,” I stuttered, feeling that I should kneel, or…something. I started to bend my knee after setting down my tools, but he lifted me up by my shoulder. “Come with me,” he said. “Your time to become a Toa is now, and we must be swift. Speaker doesn’t like to wait.”

In 2011 I decided to draw Dark Mirror in comic form during study hall in high school. It is 35 pages long. ( is that a record? lol). Also, I used composition notebook paper, and my handwriting is small, so it's kinda ugly. I did a better job the farther I got. If you think it's boring, skip to chapter 8, that's where the battle starts. Book 1 - Reawakening Chapter 1 - Tahu [Rude Awakening] 2,000 years after The Sealing...Everything shook violently. This wasn't the first time that the Toa had awoken from a long, dreamless sleep and found himself somewhere he didn’t recognise. And somehow, he doubted it would be the last. But this time, this time it was different. As Tahu slowly regained feeling in his body he realised that he was standing upright. However, any attempts to move were in vain. He was trapped in some kind of crystallised substance. The material encompassed his body like a cocoon and held him firmly in place. The Toa strained every muscle in his bio-mechanical body in an attempt to break free of his prison, but to no avail. As he did so, though, his body begun to rise drastically in temperature, heating up the crystal that surrounded him until it glowed a brilliant orange. After a few seconds cracks started to spread and the entire structure crumbled around Tahu. That's right. Tahu thought, I'm a Toa of Fire, How had he not remembered that? That was when it hit him, he couldn't remember anything past his own name. Dazed, he paced around the small, rocky cave he found himself in. He felt different too, but different to what? He didn’t even remember what his body had felt like before, he just knew in his gut that it felt different now. Tahu started looking for a way out when something caught his eye, a large red gem sat upon a small pillar in one corner of the cave. It glowed brightly, bright enough to illuminate the entire cave, casting an eerie crimson hue over the stone walls; the Toa couldn’t believe he hadn’t noticed it right away. Slowly and apprehensively, the bewildered Tahu began moving towards the gem, he reached out a metal hand and touched it. As soon he made contact hundreds of images flashed before his eyes, filling his mind with memories. Yes! He remembered everything! How he and five others had washed ashore on the island of Mata Nui, how they had fought the evil that plagued it and protected its inhabitants. Then he remembered how the evil Makuta had managed to take over the entire universe, how the great spirit Mata Nui, the previous ruler had fought to regain his rightful place. Until Mata Nui found a way to win the losing battle against his enemy and fulfil their duty to fuse the planets Aqua Magna, Bara Magna and Bota Magna and recreate Spherus Magna. He managed to combine the two robots they possessed into one ultimate robot which still housed the Matoran Universe, but at a sacrifice, the fusion destroyed the spirits of Makuta and Mata Nui. Tren Krom took up what he felt was a chance for him to fix the universe that was corrupt in his eyes. However, he found it wasn’t as easy as it looked, and after using the robot to create Spherus Magna he shut off most of the body. But he kept the head and Metru Nui alive, thinking it was the only pure place in the universe. He went into a deep slumber, putting Tahu and the other Toa Nuva in cages created from a mix of Energized Protodermis, Hordika Venom and other substances including what created the Bohrok-Kal. The prisons were specifically engineered by micing the chemicals to create a new one that would maintain the Toa in suspended animation as well as boost their strength over time. He told the Matoran to awaken them if evil was to ever creep back into their isolated city. The time has come, thought Tahu. The Matoran have somehow awakened me, I am needed once again! Excitedly, the Toa struggled to remember where the hidden exit was. He pushed hard against one of the walls of the cave, the false wall slid back, and then to the left causing dusky sunlight to flood the cave. The light burnt Tahu’s eyes, blinding him momentarily. He listened out for the cheering Matoran, welcoming him back and asking for his help. But he heard only silence. He was standing on a small ledge on the side of a giant volcano, a few miles from Ta-Metru. The land around was red and scorched and the sky was thick with smoke. In the sunlight he could see himself better, he looked down and what he saw shocked him, he looked nothing like he used to thanks to spending so long in that cage consisting of so many mutating substances. He was taller than he once was and darker in colour, his hands and feet were clawed and when he felt his mask he realised it had been completely fused to his face. His Fire Sword had grown and now needed two hands to use, it had become a Fire Greatsword. Tahu wondered for a second how he would get down - there were no steps of any kind and it was a long fall."Fall." Came a hushed voice that Tahu didn't recognise. It was carried on a huge gust of wind that seemed to come from nowhere. The gust knocked the Toa hard in the back and he tumbled off the ledge and into empty space. Tahu panicked as he fell helpless. “Who was that? Help!” He cried, the ground coming ever closer “I need help! Somebody, anybody!” Review Topic

So, it's been a while since I've posted anything new. ...by new I mean not an old piece I just now got around to coloring... Anyway, it's been even longer since I've posted any of my BZPRPG characters. And so, here's Embok. Mentally scared, stoic, dark, recently-turned-evil Toa of Plasma elementalist. This guy's had some things happen to him that, well... um yeah. He doesn't like angels, either. And he's mute. Because of an angel. [Large file size!] This was really only a quick ten-minute offhand sketch that I used to test out Photoshop CS6. C & C greatly appreciated.

Here is the first of many adventures in the epic series I'm writing called BIONICLE: New Era. I hope you like it! RULES Please do not copy off of this. Enjoy it! Thank you in advance for respecting these rules. REVIEW PAGE: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=8549 BIONICLE New Era The Golden Shadow By Massimo A. Pisano A.K.A. ToaOfAwesome CHAPTER 1 If you were to ask a chronicler what the single most difficult part of his job was, he would tell you it was starting the story. There is nothing harder than trying to word a beginning so that it can present the following tale in the right manner. It was this pet peeve that Kopeke faced as he thought long and hard about how to begin a story like this. So he started it in a way that no chronicler ever had before… he started it just as the hero was being defeated. Takanuva slammed into a wall with incredible force. He tried and failed to lift his head as rubble fell around him. “How pathetic,” the Golden Skinned Being ridiculed in his psychedelic double-voice, “I expected more from you, Toa Takanuva. I expected a challenge; instead I received no more than a practice dummy. It appears you Toa truly are all useless. I almost feel sorry for the Matoran.” “Us… Toa… are not… useless,” Takanuva struggled as he started to get up, “you… are a tyrant… and it is our job… to deal with… people like you. In the end…” Takanuva jolted in pain as he picked up one of his battered weapons, “you’ll just be… a legend… a campfire story that nobody even remembers.” He hefted his weapon in both hands and charged at the Golden Skinned Being, flaring like a star with the most powerful element of them all, light. Just as he was about to reach his opponent, his chest connected with some sort of projectile and he was thrown back, landing his head hard on a brick of masonry. The light died away, and his eyes slowly closed. “Threat has been neutralized,” came a voice behind the Golden Skinned Being’s massive shoulder. It was Hewkii. He looked at the body of the Toa with an expressionless face. A single one of six barrels on his Cordak Blaster lay empty, smoke pouring from the recently fired weapon. “Pity,” the Golden Skinned Being commented without any emotion, “I could have used him. Hewkii?” Hewkii turned his gaze to his unquestioned master, acknowledging his name. “Deal with this mess, my eyes are tired of it.” With that, the Golden Skinned Being walked away. There was a heart wrenching sound of metal passing through armor. The birds flew away, the breeze died, the temperature dropped, it was as if nature itself had stopped, and then silence, dead silence. Toa Takanuva, Toa of light itself… was no more. CHAPTER 2 Jaller blasted of fire from his sword, drenching the watchtower in flame. Matoran and Agori alike ran screaming. "Who is that?” Ackar asked from his vantage point. "His name is Jaller,” replied Tahu grimly, “he’s a Toa.” "If he’s a Toa, then why is he doing this?” Ackar inquired. "I don’t know, but we have to stop him,” came Tahu’s reply. The made their way through the crowds panicked Matoran. "Jaller, what are you doing?” demanded Tahu. He drew his sword and ignited it, preparing for the worst. Jaller responded by firing a jet of flames at Tahu. "Stop, Toa!” Ackar warned, tackling Jaller to the ground and holding his sword to his throat. Behind him, Tahu stood up. "What in Mata Nui’s name are you doing, Jaller?” "Threat detected, requesting backup.” Jaller said flatly. "What the--” Ackar was suddenly interrupted by a solid gust of wind to his face. "Kongu, why are you two doing this?” Tahu yelled over the roaring fire and screaming villagers, “why are you attacking New Atero?” "Does not comply,” Kongu stated. He fired his Cordak Blasters at Tahu and Ackar, who narrowly dodged them. Suddenly, something solid hit Ackar in the back, sending him flying. He got up and turned around to see Jaller had gotten up and shot him. He returned fire, launching his Thornax straight at the Toa of Fire’s face. "What is going on?” asked Gelu as he ran to Ackar and Tahu’s side. "These Toa have gone nuts! Their attacking the city!” Tahu exclaimed, deflecting a rocket with his blade. "I gathered that, but why?” Gelu asked. "We don’t know!” Ackar replied. The fighting was interrupted as a massive groan sounded out all through the blazing city. Everybody turned to see the central tower of New Atero, first and tallest building built for the city crumble before the horrified eyes of the inhabitants of New Atero. The symbol of the struggles of Spherus Magna’s painful history, symbol of millennia of sacrifices and accomplishments alike, fell to the ground. It crushed all the buildings in its sight and pinned inhabitants to the ground with its mighty flaming rubble. The trees erupted into columns of white flame and burned bright like candles. "I don’t believe it,” Gelu said, “New Atero is destroyed.” "Fallen to the same soil that it’s predecessor was built on eons ago by the Great Beings,” Tahu said. The thoughts did not last long, though. Jaller rose up from the ground again, along with Kongu. Fueled by his rage, Tahu slammed into Kongu so hard he slid out of view. He turned around and held Jaller to the wall of a hut by his neck. "Look what you have done!” Tahu cried, “You have destroyed a city! You have broken the Toa code! Why? Why must you do this to yourself?” "I am not a Toa,” Jaller replied mechanically, “I exist only to serve the Golden Skinned Being, and the Golden Skinned Being ordered us to destroy New Atero.” "What?” Tahu asked, “Who is this Golden Skinned Being? Where are the other Toa Mahri?” "Your knowledge is irrelevant,” Jaller said flatly. He broke free of Tahu’s grip and ran off into the distance. "What’s happening?” asked Ackar. Tahu did not answer, he simply looked into the distance. The Golden Skinned Being, he thought to himself, whoever that is, he’ll pay for what he’s done. The Toa Mahri will be avenged. CHAPTER 3 UNIT: Jaller_01 DIRECTIVE: directive_04 TIME: 32,342,387,928,349_units_since_current_directive_start LOCATION: default_directive_sector_1 CURRENT_STATUS: undefined|_logging_anomaly|_risk_level_estimate_12 LOG_START: Systems are searching files. Pitch White 4/17/12 9:10 P.M. "Another one bites the dust", thought a bearded man in his mid-forty's as he put the finishing touch on another novel, "send this copy to LEGO for review, and I can finally have that vacation I was thinking of having." He quickly checked Facebook for any updates. There was nothing there except a post telling him that something important was waiting for him on his BZPower account. "I'll look at it later", he thought. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a doorbell. While walking to the door, he wondered why someone would be at his house at that late an hour. When he opened the door, no one was there. He looked around for a moment, trying to find the person that knocked. When he looked down, he saw it. It was a small book. He picked it up to get a better look at it. It was a small, brown, leather-bound notebook with the Bionicle symbol on the cover. He opened it up and chuckled. The inside was covered with matoran symbols. "Probably some excited fan that wants to be mysterious", he thought. He combed through the notebook until he found something rather unusual. A list of names and phone numbers. This was possibly the only part of the notebook that was not written in matoran. It featured a lot of names that would seem like toa cover names. GAIA NOVA TAYLOR NOVA PARKER NOVA OWEN NOVA KORI NOVA ALLEN NOVA TREY NOVA "Wow. This fan really took the time to make this look like a giant conspiracy", the man thought. "Oh well. Maybe I'll call these numbers in the morning just for the fun of it". He left the notebook on the coffee table and went to his room for some sleep. Little did he know that that was his last night alive. A/N: Wow! First Fic! And I kill off everyone's favorite writer off the bat for the sake of dramatic tension! What is this mysterious notebook? And who is the protagonist now that Greg Farshtey is dead? Find out next chapter! Don't forget to review here!

When Hero Factory was announced, every hardcore BIONICLE fanboy threw up in their mouths a little. Gaudily colored heroes pre ordered from a factory to fight the villain of the week? No thank you! What happened to the dark, multidimensional, epic sagas of days gone by? The suspense and intrigue? All we have now are flat, boring characters, dialogue that sounds like it comes from a script, and a Power Ramgers style storyline with little to no improvement on the actual sets. And then Ordeal of Fire happened. Not only do we have a vastly superior building system to BIONICLE in every way shape or for, that is still 120% compatible with BIONICLE, System, and Technic pieces alike, but the story started taking steps in the right direction, too. And now we've built up from Power Rangers to the two words any BIONICLE fan has been fangirl shrieking about: Core Hunter. Let's start at the beginning, shall we?Rise of The Rookies: While series 1 was very childish, it built a very strong foundation for what was to come. It also introduced the light hearted, action packed, and humor oriented episodic style that now defines the HF story. But beyond that, it introduced Dunkan Bulk and his Rapid Fire Metal Sphere Shooter. Why is this significant, you may ask? Does a projectile that fires densely packed metal spheres at high velocity in rapid succession sound familiar to you? Did BIONICLE have frigging machine guns? The answers to those questions should be yes and no, respectively.Ordeal of Fire: Here's where it gets good. We have a gang of druggies who are heavily armed and hopped up on Hero Pod Fuel that brutally smashes Alpha 1, as well as a blood reference ("Ugh, now I have Hero oil on my hands. Nitroblast, get me a washcloth."). Did BIONICLE have their characters leak oil when injured? I didn't think so. And any police officer can tell you that if a gangster is on spthe right stuff, they can get scary, especially if their toting giant freaking uranium tipped drills. But the real gem in this saga is when Mark Surge, dip urging our climactic battle, takes a mother beeping cargo ship and flies it at full speed into a dude's face, smashing him so frigging hard he's entire body is ripped from its limb, leaving a mangled and sparking hand still firmly plugged into the wall. Hero Factory isn't dark enough my left foot. But wait, it gets better.Savage Planet: Here, we have a bat guano insane professor dressed in a skeleton suit run around with someone's skull, driving spikes of energy crystal into the backs of random sentient animals, forcing them to do his bidding while they're still fully conscious of what their doing (see: Raw Jaw). Mind ####, much? And then in the first minute of the show we have a plucky young hero voiced by Spongebob Squarepants of all people get brutally mauled by wolves right on camera in a relatively graphic display. Yep. Real light, guys. Finally,Breakout: Whoo boy, this ones a doozy. We have a homicidal psychopath create a black hole in the middle of the Hero Factory, releasing swarms of criminal scum across the universe to wreak untold havoc while the psychopath himself locks down the galaxy's greatest beacon of justice, stealing their top secret files, and then tries to blow the whole place up while it's still full of civilians. Then we have a schizophrenic murderer try to slam a giant space rock into a space station (also full of civilians), who ends up being impaled by a lightning sword and short circuiting (read: having every one of your blood vessels supercharged with hundreds or possibly even thousands of volts while you're made of METAL, one of the best conductors of electricity out there.) Next up we have a dude who shoots corrosive acid at you attempt to unleash swarms of angry poisonous minions on the world, whose favorite tactic as stated by his online bio is to create a small incision with a laser and pump you full of acid so you melt from the inside out. Then we have Jawblade, a massive shark who not only takes a bite out of Furno and mauls him Fangz style but who also uses Oxidium to rust robots. Imagine having your whole body slowly age and crust over before your eyes until you can't move without causing yourself extreme, excruciating pain. It's like aging and getting arthritis but ten times worse and it happens in undera minute. Voltix pumps Stringer full of lightning ala Surge and Splitface, but instead of impaling and short circuiting him he overloads his Hero Core, so that's basically like having a defibrillator hooked up to a nuclear power plant used on you when your heart is working just fine. The books give us the Doom Box, aka the claustrophobic's worst nightmare, a box that expands to encompass an entire galaxy, then crushes everything inside it slowly and brutally and did I mention it can't be turned off? And finally, Core Hunter. A serial killer that doesn't just kill you, but takes a giant pincer and rips your very heart and soul out of your body and wears it as a trophy.Good luck sleeping at night, kiddos.
