  1. Hi all, this is a story I originally posted on my Tumblr account for an entry in a BIONICLE Post - Gen 1 fic contest that was being held over there. This is my take on the Marendar plotline that was left unresolved after G1 ended. Its much darker than how I would’ve liked this plotline to go if the story had continued, but exploring these things is what fanfic is for! This is my first fanfic in over a decade, so please be kind! Hope you all enjoy it. Salvation By RahiWatching Chapter 1 Faster than even the swiftest eye could follow, Pohatu - Toa Nuva of Stone, raced across the sands of the Bara Magna desert. Over his shoulder was the unconscious form of Kopaka, the Toa Nuva of Ice. Pohatu stole another worried glance at his brother, hoping impossibly that the sight awaiting him would have somehow changed. It hadn’t. Kopaka’s wound was deep, the blade had pierced through his Protosteel armour like it was nothing and penetrated into the delicate Organic Protodermis within. He had to find Kopaka help, and fast, or he would not last much longer. “…Po…hatu…” Iruni. He needed to find Iruni. His Rhotuka spinners had the power to heal wounds, if he could just find him in time… “POHATU!!” The shout snapped Pohatu out of it his ever-spiralling worry and brought his attention back to the world around him. It was Kopaka, he was awake! “Don’t worry brother!” Shouted Pohatu over the howling wind rushing past them as he continued his run at super-speed, “we aren’t far from Iruni’s camp now, he will get you fixed up in no time. Just hang on a little longer, this isn’t your time yet!” “Indeed, it is not, Pohatu” Kopaka said, his voice pained - but determined, “which is why I need you to put me down” “What? No, we can’t stop now! I need to get you to -” “Put me down! NOW!” Reluctantly, Pohatu deactivated the power of his Mask of Speed and placed Kopaka down in the sand as gently as he could. With his heartlight glowing weakly and his breath coming in short, ragged gasps, Kopaka winced as he moved to touch the wound in his chest. A faint glow appeared around his hand as he activated his elemental power, sealing the hole in his chest with ice as a makeshift suture. With this done, Kopaka slowly and painfully hauled himself to his feet and stood at the ready. “It will take too long for us to reach Iruni, even with your speed. This will… suffice for now. We must return to the fight immediately; you saw what direction it was headed. Marendar has to be stopped before it can reach the fortress” Marendar. Pohatu never thought any being could fill his spirit with more fear and rage than Makuta Teridax, and yet the monstrosity known as Marendar had shattered that assumption completely. The Great Beings, when creating the Toa species to which Pohatu and Kopaka belonged, knew that their creations had the potential to be devastating to the inhabitants of Spherus Magna if they were to run amok after their mission was complete. As a failsafe against this possibility, they had created a biomechanical titan with only one purpose: to kill Toa. Believing that this new creation would save their world if the Toa ever went rogue, the Great Beings named it ‘Marendar’, the word in the Agori language meaning ‘Salvation’. Sensing the sudden influx of Toa onto Spherus Magna after the reunification of the planet, Marendar broke free of its containment and began its hunt. The Toa were already low in numbers, having spent centuries fighting a war of attrition against the forces of the Brotherhood of Makuta. By the time they emerged onto Spherus Magna, they numbered less than 40. Now, mere weeks after Marendar’s first appearance, only 6 Toa remained alive. Their elemental powers proved almost completely useless against it, and its powers proved all too effective against them. They needed to stop, rest, recuperate their spent energies. It did not. It never stopped, it never tired, it just killed. Without mercy. Pohatu had lost so much to the creature, his brothers and sisters murdered before him. Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Onua, they were all gone now. Pohatu was not about to let Kopaka join them in death. “Return to the fight?! Kopaka, you can barely stand, let alone face Marendar! Let me get you to Iruni, then we can gather what’s left of the Toa and all face Marendar together” “Pohatu, we both know that by that point it will be too late. With its current speed and course, Marendar will reach the fortress within the hour. Krakua is its only guardian, he will not be able to fend off Marendar alone. If Marendar is allowed to reach the fortress before Krakua can be evacuated with the stones, the future of our entire species will be forfeit. The only logical course of action is for us to return so that I can distract Marendar while you share your speed with Krakua and get the stones somewhere safe” Kopaka’s assessment was cold and calculated, just like what should be expected from the Toa of Ice. It was a plan formed of pure logic and devoid of emotion, and as much as Pohatu hated to admit it, he knew Kopaka was right. That fortress contained perhaps the most precious and sacred items to Toa, more important than their Toa tools or even their Kanohi masks of power. It contained Toa Stones - rocks infused with a Toa’s power, given to destined Matoran and used to transform them into the next generation of heroes. The Toa had all agreed to start creating as many as they could after Spherus Manga’s reformation, so that fresh heroes could rise to protect this new world they found themselves in. If those stones were lost now, any hope for the future of the Toa was lost with them. Even defeating Marendar would be a hollow victory if the stones were lost, for the remaining Toa no longer had the energy reserves to make more. But even so… even so, they were just things, just objects. Objects that held a possible future that felt so far away from the here and now that to Pohatu it may as well not exist. But Kopaka? Kopaka was here, alive, right now. He was his brother, the only one of his team that was left. A bond had been forged between the two in battle and friendship that was deeper and more meaningful to him than anything Pohatu had ever known. He could not lose him now, he couldn’t. Future be . Seeing the anguish his brother was going through, Kopaka melted his icy facade, just a little. “Pohatu, I am not under any illusions about my chances if I were to go back into battle now. And, I … I don’t want to die. But look at me” Kopaka looked down at his battered body, his armour scarred and pitted, the gaping hole in his chest and the ice that temporarily filled it, already beginning to melt in the hot desert sun, “even Iruni couldn’t heal me after this. If I die here and now, it would be meaningless, just another victim of Marendar’s onslaught. Let me go with you, let me delay Marendar long enough for you save our future. Let my death mean something, please”. “You don’t know that!” cried Pohatu desperately, “we have seen him heal wounds that appeared fatal before! I’m not just going to stand here while you throw your life away because you’ve given up!” “Pohatu. There is no other way. If there were, I would be doing it, believe me. But this is it, let me make my stand now. Are you with me, brother?” Kopaka raised his fist weakly, holding it out to Pohatu in the traditional Toa salute. “You always were so stubborn, brother” sighed Pohatu, raising his fist up to meet Kopaka’s. “Unfortunately,” Pohatu grabbed onto Kopaka’s outstretched arm, “so am I!” In one smooth motion, Pohatu pulled hard on Kopaka’s arm, twisting the shocked Toa of Ice around him and planting him firmly down into the sands below their feet. Reaching down with his elemental powers, Pohatu formed restraints of solid stone around Kopaka’s limbs, ensuring he would not be getting up again any time soon. “What are you doing!?” shouted Kopaka as he struggled against his bonds. “Don’t bother Kopaka, in the state you are in you won’t be able to get out of those. Don’t worry, I’ve used my Nuva powers to set them on a delay, they will disintegrate in a few minutes and you will be free. Sorry to have to do this, but I can’t have you trying to stop me” “Stop you from doing what?” asked Kopaka, still thrashing against the stone that held him despite Pohatu’s words. “You know, I’ve gotten really sick of heroic sacrifices” said Pohatu sadly, his eyes distant, lost in memory, “how many of our siblings have we lost to them in the fight against that monster? Kongu, Gaaki…” Pohatu paused, the memory of the next name being so painful as to catch in his throat, “… Onua… each one of them sacrificing themselves, and for what? Just so the rest of us could run away from the thing that killed them? So we could get a little while longer to wait until it kills us too?” anger was rising in Pohatu’s voice now, his body shaking with rage at all that had been taken from him, “well I say NO! NO MORE!! I won’t let you die like they did. If there has to be a sacrifice today, then I swear to Mata-Nui that I’m going to make sure that it is the last one a Toa ever has to make!” Pohatu raised his head defiantly, screaming at the sky, “DO YOU HEAR ME?!? NO MORE!!!” Raising his adaptive launcher high above his head, Pohatu fired several bursts of energy high into the air, Kopaka recognised the pattern – a signal to anyone that could see it: “INJURED TOA AT THIS LOCATION, HELP REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY”. “There, that should do it” Pohatu said, breathing slowly and deeply in an attempt to calm himself, “you won’t get treated as quickly as if I had taken you straight to him, but Iruni’s mask should allow him to get over here and fix you up in plenty of time”. Pohatu pulled his pack off of his back and took out a flat, stone object, roughly the same size as a Kanohi Mask. Kopaka recognised it instantly, and the thought of what Pohatu might do with it next froze Kopaka’s soul more completely than his elemental powers ever could. “Your… your Nuva symbol? What are you going to do?” asked Kopaka fearfully. After their transformation by Energised Protodermis from normal Toa into the more powerful Toa Nuva, the heightened elemental powers of Kopaka’s team had become permanently entwined with the mysterious objects. The Toa Nuva had kept them on their person ever since the war with Marendar began, fearing that if they did not Marendar may have attempted to find and destroy them, and in doing so rob the Toa Nuva of their elemental powers for good. Pohatu sat down next to Kopaka, handling the stone slab reverently. His eyes were transfixed upon the faintly glowing symbol carved into its surface, “I’ve been thinking about this for the last couple of days. Marendar is resistant to our elemental powers, right? Resistant, but not immune. We have had some luck in causing some superficial damage to it thanks to our enhanced abilities as Toa Nuva, but the only time anyone has ever managed to cause it any significant damage was when Jaller went Nova and unleashed all his powers at once. Heh, the biggest, most powerful attack a Toa can do and all he did was injure Marendar enough to make it temporarily pause its hunt. But that got me thinking, if a Nova Blast can injure Marendar, what if we could perform an attack that was even more powerful? But it would need to be way more powerful. A Nova Blast from one of the two of us would be, but I still don’t think that would be enough. We would need it to be five… no, ten times more powerful, I think, in order to actually kill it. And it would have to be in one single, devastating strike, to completely obliterate Marendar before it had a chance to repair itself from the damage”. Kopaka did not like where this was going, it was against the Toa Code to kill an enemy, but they both had come to the realisation some time ago that they would have to break that code if they were ever to stop this monster. Even so, it was hard to hear Pohatu speak of killing so freely. Kopaka looked over at the symbol again. He couldn’t be certain, but it seemed to be glowing a little brighter than when Pohatu had first pulled it out of his pack. “But where could I get that extra reserve of power from?” Pohatu continued, “oh sure, I could absorb the rock around me for an extra boost of power, but a Toa’s body can only hold so much elemental energy, once I hit that threshold, I wouldn’t be able to absorb any more to add to the blast. But then I reminded myself, I’m not just a Toa, not anymore. I’m a Toa Nuva. At first, we thought our powers had just been boosted, with greater control compared to our old selves, but that wasn’t the whole story, was it? We later learned that we could set our powers on a delay, set up manipulations of the elements that would occur later on. Tahu thought it was just another way we had learned to control our new powers, a new skill that we learned as we got more experience. But I think it’s something different. Kopaka, I think we didn’t learn to do that until a few months after our transformation because we couldn’t until that time had passed. I think our powers are still growing, even now”. Kopaka was shocked at the suggestion, it was a possibility he had not even considered before. Seeing the doubt in Kopaka’s eyes, Pohatu pressed on with his theory. “Think about it, when we faced the Elemental Lords of this planet, they had even greater control of their respective elements than we did, and yet they did not need special symbols to contain that energy, their bodies could handle it just fine. Why would we need separate containers to house our elemental powers if our abilities were lesser than theirs? I think it’s because at some point in the future our powers will have grown to such a high extent that our bodies won’t be able to handle it anymore. I think that as time goes on, our connection to the symbols and the power within gets stronger and stronger, until eventually we will be able to tap into the full potential of the power these symbols contain. Of course, this was all just guesswork, and it didn’t help with our immediate problem. Even if I was right, we don’t have the time to wait for us to steadily build our powers up to a point when we could effectively take on Marendar. What we needed was a way to unlock that potential right now, a way to incorporate it immediately so that we could use it to make that one massive attack that would be even more than a Nova Blast – a ‘Nuva Blast’ if you like. Hmm, Lewa would’ve loved that one…” a sad smile flashed across Pohatu’s face beneath his mask at that thought as he stood up and looked down at the bound Toa of Ice, “Anyway, it just hit me now. I think I know a way I could do it, a way to unlock all that power in one go. These symbols are made of stone after all, and I can absorb stone” Kopaka had heard enough. He had to snap Pohatu out of this lunacy before he did something truly stupid. “Pohatu, this is ridiculous! Just let me go and we will proceed with my plan. It has the highest chance of succeeding – not only do we not know if your theory is correct, but by your own admission the power you think may be hidden within your symbol will be far too much for your body to handle! At least with my original plan there is a chance, however slim, that I would live through the encounter with Marendar. If you are right, there is no way you would survive it. You talked of me throwing my life away before, please, don’t do the same with yours now. I can’t… I can’t lose you.” “Kopaka, we both know that you have no chance of surviving an encounter with Marendar in this state. Trust me, brother. This will work. It has to” “Pohatu…” “Kopaka, I have to go. I have to do this” said Pohatu, turning his back on Kopaka and facing the doom before him. “POHATU, PLEASE!!” screamed Kopaka, desperation and fear cracking his voice like thin ice shattering on a frozen lake, “I DON’T WANT TO BE ALONE!!!” Pohatu turned back to Kopaka, his face as twisted with grief and sadness as that of the Toa of Ice. He could not remember the last time the usually reserved and withdrawn Kopaka had showed such deep and genuine emotion. Even when the other Toa Nuva had been struck down by Marendar, he had mourned them in his own quiet way. For Kopaka to have screamed with such passion… Pohatu knelt down and placed his hand comfortingly on the shoulder of his beloved sibling. Softly, he tried his best to console him… to console them both. “And I do not want to leave you alone, brother. But there is no other way. One of us had to do this, and I really think I have a way not just to save your life for a few more hours, but really, actually save it. This plan will work, and I’m the only one who can pull it off” he sighed and stood up again, “what is it that Turaga Whenua says? That those we lose are never truly gone, as long as we remember them here” he said, pointing to his head, “and here” he continued, pointing to his heartlight, “then they are still with us, the past holding them safe for us until we can join them again” Kopaka looked up at Pohatu, his eyes still pleading with the Toa of Stone. Pohatu smiled warmly at him from behind his mask with that big wonderful smile that Kopaka now knew that he was seeing for the last time. “Oh, if I could turn back time” said Pohatu with a laugh, “to think, Kopaka Nuva, the Toa who had so often insisted that he ‘worked alone’ would be so desperate for me to stay with him.” Pohatu looked out at the sands surrounding him, so much like those of Po-Wahi on the island of Mata-Nui, where his canister washed ashore all that time ago. As places go to meet his end, he could live with this. Looking down at the symbol in his hands, he concentrated upon the stone it was made of and his connection to it, reaching deep with his mind into the recesses of the enigmatic object to the well of power within it. Closing his eyes, he searched further within it, down and down, until he found what he sought. Kopaka looked on as pure elemental power began crackling around the Nuva symbol, arching like lightning out of the symbol in all directions, creating monolithic stone formations all around. Pohatu concentrated further, pushing his mind to the limit to control and absorb that power, and the power responded, the lightning arcing into his body now, which began to glow with such radiance that Kopaka had to close his eyes tightly shut to protect them from the intensity of the glow. Pohatu screamed in agony as the symbol itself began to dissolve into his form, he fell to his knees as more and more of it dissolved away, converted into pure elemental energy and absorbed into his body. When Kopaka opened his eyes again, he saw Pohatu on the ground, his body crackling and sputtering with excess elemental energy. He was as quiet and still as the stone he embodied, had it been too much? No! Pohatu’s powerful legs began to move, a twitch at first, then more as he painfully pushed himself to his feet. Groaning with the effort, Pohatu turned back to Kopaka, his deep voice crackling from the energy within. “Farewell, Kopaka. Remember me, remember all of us. Keep us in your heart as you build a new world for the generations of Toa to come. I love you, brother. Always have, always will.” And with that, Pohatu was gone, a blurred afterimage quickly fading as he sped away towards destiny. Kopaka’s stone bonds shattered into dust, but he made no effort to move. He simply stared at the spot where Pohatu had once stood, now just an impression of his feet in the sand, slowing disappearing with the wind. Chapter 2 “Well,” he thought, “here goes nothing…” Pohatu Nuva raced once again through the sands of Bara Magna, this time, in the opposite direction. He pushed the powers of his Kakama Nuva to its limit, the sands fusing to glass beneath his feet, so vast was the heat of the friction caused by his immense speed. It was not long until he spotted his target up ahead, its hulking form making its way out of the desert, towards the shores of Aqua Magna and Krakua’s island fortress beyond. Pohatu slammed into his enemy, not slowing even for a single moment. The sheer power and ferocity behind the attack sent Marendar reeling, its body flung backwards, stunned by the force of the blow. Pohatu did not let this opportunity pass him by, grabbing Marendar and dragging it back into the depths of the desert. Pohatu’s plan would cause a significant amount of collateral damage even in the best-case scenario, so he needed to make sure he got Marendar as far away from anyone else as possible before he could make his move. Gathering all the strength he could muster, Pohatu slammed his fists into Marendar again and again as he dragged it on towards their final destination. Marendar in turn lashed out at Pohatu, sending a torrent of its own elemental energies at the Toa of Stone, along with devastating and deadly strikes from its bladed weaponry. The attacks tore away at Pohatu, his Protosteel armour shattering and flying away in the face of Marendar’s blades, his mechanical and organic components within screaming and tearing at the waves of force being thrown against them. Pohatu ignored it all. He was getting close now, close to the end. He reached out with his powers, absorbing stone and rock for Kios around him, building upon his already immense reserves to reach his absolute maximum. His body was pleading with him, threatening to burst if he did not release the power within – but not yet! He needed to hang on just a little longer. He looked down at the monster below him – it would be so easy now. So easy to give in to the rage within his heart and lose himself in that pain and anger. But no, Pohatu fought down those feelings. He did not want his final moments to be filled with such things. He was nearly there now, just a fraction of a second before his speed would bring them both to the site of their graves. The last thoughts of Pohatu Nuva, Toa of Stone, were of his friends. His family. He thought of the laughter of his siblings around a campfire, listening to Lewa loudly and excitedly telling a nonsense tale of great exhilaration and heroism. He thought of his time with Hewkii in the Kolhii field, as the Matoran patiently taught Pohatu the rules of the sport of which he would one day become the patron Toa. He remembered the swelling pride he felt when he met the Toa Inika, Matoran he had once protected that had gone on to become the greatest of heroes themselves. He remembered it all: every moment of joy, every stunning vista, every heartfelt celebration and wonderous sight that he had the privilege of sharing with those that he loved. And in that instant, he let go. Chapter 3 Iruni had barely got to Kopaka in time to protect the injured Toa Nuva of Ice from the chaos that unfolded. Winds stronger than a hurricane blasted in a flood away from the Bara Magna desert in all directions, carrying the very sands of the desert with them into a gigantic dust cloud the likes of which the planet had never seen. Only Iruni’s elemental control over the air kept the two Toa from being swept away completely by the gales assaulting them. The ground shook with a tremor so mighty that it could be felt across the entire planet – only when the titanic form of Makuta fell in his final battle had the ground shuddered more violently. When it was finally over, Iruni pulled himself to his feet, leaning on his Cyclone Spear for support. “What the Karzahni was that!?” he shouted, surveying the radically transformed landscape around him. The desert sand had been completely stripped away, leaving only the bare rock beneath. The air was thick and heavy with the displaced dust, causing him to choke and cough with every intake of breath and reducing visibility to only a few Bio ahead of him. But now was not the time to investigate such things, even ones as incredible as the situation before him. For now, he had more pressing matters. Activating his elemental powers once again, Iruni created a pocket of clear air around him and knelt down to survey Kopaka’s injuries. The Toa of Ice was unconscious, but whether that was from his wounds or from the assault of winds and dust he could not tell. The gash in his armour was serious and there was severe damage to Kopaka’s body beneath it. But Iruni had lost far too many brothers and sisters for him to let another die in front of him. Summoning all his concentration and energy, Iruni fired a Rhotuka from his shield, the spinning wheel of energy striking Kopaka square in the chest and imparting its rejuvenating powers upon him. Kopaka’s eyes opened in a flash as he jolted back to consciousness. Gasping for air he looked around frantically, ignoring Iruni completely as his head turned left and right in what seemed to be a desperate, panicked search for something unseen. “Woah! Easy there, Kopaka. It’s alright, we are safe here. I need you to stay still for now. I’ve started the healing process but your injury was serious, it’s going to take a good few shots from my spinners yet before we can get you back on your feet” said Iruni, assuming that Kopaka must be searching the surroundings for signs of further attacks from Marendar. Kopaka continued to ignore Iruni as he looked around, activating the power of his mask of vision to peer through the thick clouds of dust that engulfed them and out to the world beyond. Suddenly, he stopped his search, his eyes locked upon something only he could see off in the distance. With an expression of grim determination as fixed as the lines of the mask he wore over it, Kopaka reached out his arms and began dragging his still healing body forwards towards it. “Hey!” shouted Iruni, concerned, “I meant it when I said not to move Kopaka. You need to rest while I administer the remaining healing boosts if we are going to get you fixed up properly, where do you think you are going?!” Kopaka acted as if Iruni wasn’t even there as he kept dragging himself along the ground, his eyes never moving from whatever it was he was pulling himself towards. Grabbing Kopaka’s leg in an attempt to stop him, Iruni yelled in pain as his hands were met with a blast of intense cold, causing him to let go reflexively to protect himself. For the first time, Kopaka looked back at Iruni and pointed in the direction he had been heading, while at the same time sharing his mask’s power of X-ray vision with the confused Toa of Air. Following the direction that Kopaka indicated, Iruni looked through the clouds before them and staggered back in shock at what was revealed. “By the Great Beings…” whispered Iruni in disbelief. Kopaka simply turned his attention back to his slow crawl forward. “Either heal me as we go,” growled Kopaka, “or get out of my way.” — Gigantic did not even begin to describe the monolithic structure that they saw before them. An enormous wall of rock stretching left and right as far as the eye could see. With the powers of the Akaku Nuva Kopaka had shared with him, Iruni could see that the stone towered both high into the sky far above them and deep below into ground beneath, forming a sphere of solid stone easily the diameter of the dome in which Metru-Nui had once sat back inside the Matoran Universe, if not even larger. By the time they reached its outer edge, Iruni’s healing powers had done their work. Kopaka had said nothing else on the journey towards the towering object, simply moving as fast as he could until he reached its perimeter. He had long ago stopped sharing his mask power with Iruni, though the Toa of Air could tell that Kopaka was still making use of it himself, peeling back the layers of stone before him with his vision to see the depths within. They stopped just in front of the sphere, with Kopaka placing a single hand upon the stone, still scanning its insides with his power. Iruni tried to speak to Kopaka, ask him if he knew what this thing was, if it had any connection to Marendar, but he received no answer. Kopaka merely stood there, staring endlessly into the vast brown mass before him. Chapter 4 Hours turned into days as Kopaka stared relentlessly into the stone, silently refusing all offers of food and calls to rest. With no sightings of Marendar or Pohatu in that time, and with the enormous stone sphere before them, the inhabitants of the planet came to their own conclusions on what had occurred. Somehow, Pohatu had created the structure before them, and in doing so finally brought down the seemingly unstoppable menace that had hunted the Toa to near extinction. Kopaka knew that their assumptions were correct. In his scans of the sphere, he had found trace evidence of metallic Protodermis scattered throughout its structure. Marendar had been at the very centre of Pohatu’s blast, the rapidly expanding stone shattering its body and spreading what little remained throughout the entire sphere. One huge blast, destroying the monster before it had a chance to adapt or repair, just like Pohatu had said it would. But what of Pohatu himself? The logical part of Kopaka’s mind knew that this search was pointless. There was no way that Pohatu could have survived. Marendar had been hit by the blast with such force that barely any trace of its body remained. But the blast had originated inside of Pohatu himself, a blast that his body was nowhere near capable of handling. There was no chance that anything of his brother remained. But logic, it all. He couldn’t accept it. His brother was in there somewhere, he had to be. And Kopaka was going to find him, no matter how long it took. — Hahli, Toa Mahri of Water, approached Kopaka with trepidation. Of the 5 of them that were now left, all felt the pain of losing Pohatu. But she understood the depths of the sorrow Kopaka felt most of all, for she knew all too well the added heartbreak of a brother who sacrificed themselves to save the world. She knew the fact that Pohatu had saved them and the Toa Stones that were the future of their species was probably of little comfort to Kopaka right now. She knew that grief he felt would never truly go away, no matter how much time passed, though she hoped that the news she brought him this day would at the very least bring Kopaka some peace. “Kopaka? There has been a discovery, an Agori trader found it in a valley to the east.” Kopaka ignored her has he had every other attempt someone had made to speak to him, but Hahli continued regardless, “Kopaka, please. You are going to want to see this. The valley, it wasn’t there before. We think… we think it’s something Pohatu did”. “Show me” That got his attention. For the first time in two days, Kopaka looked away from the stone sphere before him. — Hahli led Kopaka towards the valley, explaining further as they went. “It doesn’t show up on any map the Agori have of the area. As best as we can tell, it appeared at the same time as the sphere did, or maybe shortly afterwards, we don’t know for sure. The sudden appearance of something like this is extraordinary in itself, but that’s not even the half of it. It’s what the valley contains that you need to see” They reached the entrance, the flat ground around them beginning to slope gently downwards on a winding path into the newly formed valley below. Hahli stopped here and continued her explanation, “When the trader first found this place, he said there was only one of them inside. But when we arrived later, more had formed, they seem to be appearing every few hours”. “What do you mean? What is in there?” asked Kopaka. “Go see for yourself. Take as long as you need, I’ll be waiting here for you when you return” replied Hahli. Whatever awaited him in this mysterious valley, Hahli clearly thought it was something he needed to experience alone. His curiosity piqued, Kopaka nodded his thanks to Hahli and made his way down the path. Kopaka did not know what to expect as he made his way deeper into the valley, his senses were alert and ready for anything, despite the exhaustion he felt from his days without sleep. Rounding a corner on this new pathway, he was struck with a sight that took his breath away. Protruding out of the valley wall was a set of statues. The statues showed no signs of having been carved from the rockface, but rather appeared to have grown, fully formed from its surface. However, that was not the fact that had shocked Kopaka so completely, instead it was the scene that the statues depicted. It was one that Kopaka knew oh so well. It showed the strong frame of a familiar Toa of Stone, standing over a rockslide and a half-buried and irate Toa of Ice. This was no mere statue, it was a memory: the first meeting between Kopaka and Pohatu on the Island of Mata-Nui, so long ago. As he continued into the valley, more and more statues were to be found before him, each one depicting a memory of Pohatu’s life. No, Kopaka realised, it was more than that. These weren’t just random memories from his life, they were memories of all the times Pohatu and Kopaka had shared. “You sentimental fool” thought Kopaka with a sigh and a sad smile, “diverting energy away from your attack to set up all this, just to say goodbye”. As the hours went on and the day turned to night, Kopaka went further and further into the valley, passing more and more memories preserved now and forever in stone. Ahead, he saw more forming, rising from the rock all around. Hahli had said that it was still growing, it looks like Pohatu had set this up to last a while longer yet. Kopaka continued to walk through the memories, stopping to view each one and bring his own recollection of the events it depicted to the front of his mind. He was a swirl of emotion now, walking in a daze through the past and all the joy and sorrow that brought with it. Eventually, the valley walls shrank and spread out, transitioning into a flat grassland that extended as far as the eye could see. It was nearly morning now, and as the first faint rays of the sun began to peek above the horizon, he sensed what he somehow knew to be the final statue take shape beside him. He did not recognise the memory, or rather, he recognised too many at once. It could have been from any of a thousand moments in his past: Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Onua and Pohatu – their stone facsimiles all sat together, looking out over the grassland beyond. Wait, where was his own likeness? There had always been a statue of himself in these memories, and yet he only saw his siblings here. He moved in closer and looked carefully at the statue, and then he found his answer. Kopaka Nuva sat down in the space prepared for him and, surrounded by his family, peacefully watched the sunrise.
  2. I have been wanting to make this serial for YEARS, but here is the Prologue of a Saga in an almost forgotten Arm of the Matoran Universe.
  3. {Main Story Topic} Pretty self-evident, I think. Questions, comments, reviews, all is welcome.
  4. It has been a while, I know. Certain things just kept me held up for a while. I actually had the first third of this written months ago, but I hadn't been able to finish it. This is another short story set in my same "Literary universe," this time taking a look into the lives of three different characters as kind of a follow-up. This is also a chapter from the same story, but I figured it was probably worth standing as its own thing, as well. So, here you go. Located in a desolate area of Spherus Magna was an island so devoid of life and ominous in appearance, no one who saw it ever dared to get near it. Even so, it was rare for anyone to even find it, let alone know of its existence. To the leader of the Knights of Terankos, this was the perfect place to hide his new organization to serve the mad god himself. With the Blessing of Terankos and his new powers, he was able to construct a sturdy fortress on his own, working endlessly for many days and nights. He ignored the need to sleep and eat, driven solely by his sacred mission by the will of the mad god. It was not long before he began to recruit anyone he felt a kinship with, as his people were not the only ones displaced by the Order of Mata Nui. A great amount of time had passed since Terankos gave his newly anointed Lord Almatas the task of finding those who thrived in the darkness. Lord Almatas looked out the window of his private chamber, reflecting on his success. It won’t be long now before I can see my mission to completion. Lord Terankos will be most pleased and I will be rewarded. This, I am sure of. Having been driven by one purpose for so long and having been exposed to the powers of darkness for an extended period of time, Almatas had changed a lot since he initially pledged himself to Terankos. Being exposed to the shadows for so long as he was would be enough to take a toll on their health and eventually lead to expiration. For Almatas, however, because his will to live and serve Terankos was so strong, he did not fall to illness. Instead, it slowly robbed him of his mind, sending him into insanity. He did not care, however, so long as his god was pleased with him. Even now, I have found a pitiful tactician to serve as my right hand. My victory is ensured, so long as he remains under my thumb. His pathetic younger sister will be leverage to keep him in line. After all, so long as nothing happens to her, he will do whatever I want. That was the condition of our initial agreement when he practically… begged me to spare her. It was so absolutely delicious to watch him grovel and plea. So many years ago, I was in that same place, begging for my family and friends to be spared. Almatas turned away from the window, his hood cloak billowing with his sudden movement. He made his way back to a large throne at the very end of the room. With a sigh, he say down, closed his eyes, and raised his head. Unlike those dogs serving the Great Spirit, I actually showed mercy to him and his weak, useless sister and allowed them to live, so long as they did as I wanted. Then again, she is not so useless. She does manage to heal and care for any operatives who fall ill or get injured during recovery missions. Perhaps she isn’t as bad as I initially thought her out to be. The Knights leader opened his eyes and lowered his head back down. His thoughts were interrupted when a large pair of crimson eyes manifested in the darkest corner of the room, adjacent to where Almatas sat. Without hesitation, Almatas leapt from where he sat and immediately rushed to the corner, kneeling on one knee as he looked into the crimson eyes before him. “What is thy bidding?” he asked. You have served me well, Lord Almatas. Soon, our time will come and we will take the world for our own. I have two tasks for you to complete, and these are to be secret. “Whatever you wish, I will do it, my master,” Almatas responded. The first of my commands is to head to a fortress on the island of Artidax. Without alerting their pathetic security, you are to steal and hold onto a relic known as the Hand of Karzahni. “How will I know where to go?” I shall implant the location into your memories. Once you have this gauntlet, do as you please with it. You may wear it or keep it locked away. Above all else, you must remain in possession of it, no matter the cost. “What of the second task?” You shall be gaining a new operative into your ranks. Her heart is filled with darkness and deception, making her a perfect candidate. However, she serves the Order of Mata Nui. At that moment, Almatas became visible uncomfortable, trying to hold back the myriad of emotions he felt the moment he heard that name. I know how you feel about these fools, but listen to me. Allow her into your ranks. Through her, you will be presented with valuable knowledge about the Order and what actions they take. “Very well, my master, I shall do so. Where must I go to find her?” Once you finish with the task on Artidax, wait on the edge of the southern-most wall of the fortress. There, she will come to you. “She will come to me?” Precisely. Do not worry too much about her. She will remain in the shadows, hidden from the rest of your operatives. She will receive her orders from the Order as usual, so it is with that I implore you to communicate with her every so often to remain current with what they are planning. “Very well, my master. If I may ask, what about--?” Patience, Lord Terankos. You will possess it in due time. Now is not the right time for it, however, which is why I only ask for you to steal the gauntlet. As the time approaches, I shall implant a false memory into the mind of your tactician in regards to learning about the location of Artidax, where he and a group of your best operatives will go and carry out the mission. Once the stone is in your grasp, her usefulness will have been served and you can dispose of her as you wish. “It will be done, my master. I shall leave immediately.” A nasty grin beamed on the face of Almatas the moment he was given permission to do away with this “new operative” he was going to meet. *** Far across to the opposite end of the world was the island of Daxia, which housed numerous inventions, a vast amount of relics and artifacts, and countless operatives serving the Order of Mata Nui. One of them was a young maiden named Tuyet, who initially came to Daxia from a small village located in the Kradus Peninsula. She spent a majority of her life there with her three childhood friends, who were pleased with their humble, seemingly “uneventful” lives, but Tuyet had other desires deep down. She longed for glory and reverence. She wished to have her name chanted and held in high regard, and to be loved and respected everywhere. Such ideas would seem outlandish and even dangerous to some. At least, those were the words of Lhikan, one of her best friends. Upon his advising when she expressed these desire to him, she kept them to herself as to not cause a stir. It was not long before the Order found out about their village, considering Lhikan was in possession of a very rare and valuable mask. He also possessed limited knowledge of elemental sorcery, most notably fire. As the Order was about to whisk him away with no questions asked, Lhikan put in a good word for Tuyet, as well as their other two friends Nidhiki and Naho. From that point on, Tuyet served the Order with a smile, but it was a begrudging smile worn only to avoid causing trouble as Lhikan warned her long ago. It seemed she was locked into a role of monotony and pointlessness. That was until one day she met… him. A Divine Encounter, the maiden in blue told herself, feeling a sense of joy for the first time in so long. He recognized her potential and agreed that her talents were wasted and squandered with the likes of the Order. He then told her about a way she could finally obtain the power she so desired, to the point she could even take her place among the gods. All she had to do was follow his every word, whenever he contacted her in secret when appearing as a vision. Tonight was one of those occasions, and Tuyet presented herself to him, bowing her head and kneeling before the apparition of darkness before her. “How may I serve you, my master?” She raised her head, gazing into a pair of deep crimson eyes with a sinister smile on her face. Lady Tuyet, you have served me well. The time you have been waiting for will soon be approaching. First, you must complete a task. “What must I do, my Lord Terankos?” You are to go to the island of Artidax alone. Make note of the fortress for any places that may have a weak defense, save for above. Have you already convinced the Order of my little… proposition? “Yes, my lord,” replied the treacherous Tuyet. “Hydraxon has already begun work creating the automatons after Helryx accepted the idea. She has even started helping him to increase productivity.” Excellent. You have done well. Now then, once you reach Artidax, go to the southern-most wall of the fortress. There, you will meet someone. “Who, may I ask?” The leader of the Knights of Terankos. “The so-called ‘heretics’ Helryx is so obsessed with?” Correct. You are to feign allegiance to him, asking him to join the Knights as a double agent. However, you must remain with the Order as much as possible to avoid any conflict. This is the first and only time you will ever interact with him in person. “Will he be so willing to accept me into his ranks?” I have already put in a… good word for you. In addition, his mind has been degrading over the years. He will accept you without question. You must make sure he is unaware of our exchanges and our promise, otherwise the plan will be compromised. “Very well. It will be done, my Lord Terankos.” Excellent. Listen to any orders he may relay to you to stay in his good graces, but afterwards, ignore them. You will directly serve my orders alone. Should he attempt to retaliate, I shall make sure you are taken care of. “And… the Nui Stone?” Patience, my dear. All in good time. Once the Knights claim it as their own, you will be able to take it for yourself. This can only be done so long as you play your part. “Thank you, my master. It will be done.” “Tuyet? Are you up there?” came a familiar voice faintly from behind the door. “I must go now,” whispered Tuyet. You may leave. Remember to follow my orders. Remember to follow the plan… As the dark apparition vanished, Tuyet rose to her feet and quickly rushed to the door. “Coming, Lhikan!” *** Deep within the Shadow Realm, an unsettling laugh echoed. “Soon… Soon everything will come to pass according to my design. Pawns are so easy to manipulate. All you have to do is tell them what they want to hear, make some pitiful promise to them, and they are under your power indefinitely.” The laugh echoed once more, causing the ground to rumble and shake. “Soon, my brother, you will be nothing more than a memory, and once more, I shall be free!”
  5. Well, it's taken a while, but I'm finally getting back to writing the fanfic that I started development on before I even started my previous epic. This one started off when I got a heavy dose of inspiration from NickonPlanetRipple's "Nova Orbis" epic, and the first version could justifiably be described as a rip-off of that idea. However, it's gone through a lot of iterations behind the scenes since then and I'm finally ready to present it. The plan is to post a new chapter at the beginning of every month. So, without further ado... {Review Topic} Prologue Five-hundred years ago, the same number of Matoran and one Turaga were going about their daily lives. Once, their sole purpose of existence had been to work and maintain an enormous construct, a machine of staggering dimensions with one mission: to re-form a shattered planet and ensure that the events that had destroyed it would never occur again. This plan was nearly foiled on several occasions, but after thousands of years, the planet of Spherus Magna was whole again and the Matoran left the now broken machine that had been their universe. As they met those who had been left behind, their cultures interacted, mixed, and though conflict was far from absent, they eventually could hardly be distinguished from one another. Matoran spread across the entirety of the reformed planet, founding cities with Toa protecting them. New generations were constructed and raised, thriving on this paradise world. Eventually, some would even leave the planet entirely, searching for new worlds to settle as progress continued its relentless march forward. Now, five-hundred Matoran and one Turaga were to become its victims. An inventor was about to test his life's work. His creation was a potential miracle, a device that could enable Matoran to travel enormous distances in the blink of an eye. He'd kept it secret, not wanting this power to fall into the wrong hands, but if this test was successful he felt that it would at last be ready to be revealed to the world. However, the test did not go as planned. One variable unaccounted for, one component incorrectly calibrated, one calculation in error and the inventor found himself unable to control his creation. The gate it created was unstable, drawing more and more power as the machine surged beyond what any of its instruments could measure, culminating in a monumental explosion which destroyed the machine and all but killed its inventor. His work was ruined; it would be years before he could possibly rebuild the machine and discover his error. As he lay unconscious, he could not have known that his creation, in its one brief moment of operation, had single-handedly caused the greatest disaster to befall the Matoran in thousands of years. Only weeks later, when he woke up in a hospital bed, a nurse informed him of the catastrophic consequences of his experiment: five-hundred Matoran and one Turaga had vanished in an instant from their homes, their jobs, their lives… and no one knew where they were. No one on Spherus Magna had even the faintest idea of what had happened to them, or if they were even still alive. As far as anyone could tell, they were there one moment and then gone the next. They had all disappeared at the exact same time, shortly before this explosion destroyed what had, until then, appeared to be a normal Fe-Matoran workshop and several others around it. When the inventor's work was made public, the Matoran sadly concluded that their missing friends and colleagues were most likely dead, sucked in and destroyed somehow by this monstrous machine. The inventor was imprisoned, forbidden to ever attempt to construct such a device again, and a city mourned the loss of so many of its inhabitants and one of its long-time leaders. A memorial was erected, ceremonies performed, and life slowly returned to normal. No one knew or could have known that those who had vanished were not in fact dead, though they certainly were lost. While the fires were still being put out and the inventor still lay half-buried under the rubble of his home, five-hundred Matoran and one Turaga found themselves standing among titanic trees in a fog-shrouded land, wondering where they were. --- Pale moonlight illuminated the thin veil of mist that hung over the tranquil Komisi bay. A faint orange glow coming from inland outlined the trunks of giant trees and the rooftops of Gol Rui on the shoreline; even now, in the middle of the night, Matoran in the Tahai district were keeping the forges hot and ready for the morning shift. By contrast, the shoreline district of Garo was dark and devoid of activity; the Ga-Matoran had no reason to work through the night, their fishing boats safely moored to wooden piers jutting out into the bay. A small speck of light appeared from within one of the city streets and proceeded to make its way along the waterfront. It was a lantern, carried by a hunched-over Matoran clad in a heavy cloak. Shuffling along slowly and using a cane to steady herself, she passed two piers that each played home to several large vessels. She proceeded down the third pier she reached, though it was much smaller than the previous two and featured one vessel, a small craft moored at its end. Though little more than a rowboat with a small mast able to host a single sail, it would have to do; the Matoran clambered into the boat, untied it from its moorings, then rowed out onto the bay. It was a slow journey, not helped by her having to stop to recuperate every few minutes. Still, half an hour after she had set off, the city, shoreline, and even the light of the Tahai had all long vanished into the mists. She withdrew the oars into the boat and looked around. There was nothing but water and fog in every direction. Satisfied in her isolation, she reached into her cloak and pulled out a package. After taking another look around, she proceeded to unwrap it. Two layers of papyrus later, its contents were revealed: a small note, which she laid down into the boat, and a cylindrical rod about 20 cm long that gave off a faint, white light. However, its glow intensified to a bright blue at the very moment when her finger touched it, illuminating the Matoran, the boat, the water and the mist all around. In spite of the bright light, she studied the object for a minute, turning it in her hands in contemplation. Then, suddenly, she reached out, suspending it over the water in her hand. She hesitated; one, two, three seconds passed, and then she drew back just as quickly. Again she inspected the rod, watching it intently as though it would provide answers on its own. None were forthcoming. She shook her head. “We do not need them,” she muttered. With those words, a sudden resolve overtook her. In one quick motion, she tossed the rod overboard. With a muffled ‘ploomp’ it fell into the water, which for a moment seemed to light up all around the boat. Yet that resolve faded almost immediately; within moments, she ducked for the edge of the boat and reached towards where the rod had landed. But it was already too late: its glow in the water diminished as it quickly sank, and within seconds the Komisi appeared dark once again. She continued to peer over the edge of the boat, straining her eyes for the faintest sign of light, but there was nothing left to see. Eventually, she pulled back and sat down in the boat’s thwart. There was now turning back now. Either she was right, or the Matoran of Misira Nui were doomed.
  6. (For more context, see my short story, A New Lease on Life. Sorry if the first chapter's a bit brief, and don't expect regular updates. Also note that the universe this all takes place in is very...different) CHAPTER ONE The first thing Datrox Karvan realized upon entering a strange, new dimension, was that his feet weren't touching anything. In fact, as his eyes adjusted to the sunlight glistening off of the roofs of buildings below, he realized he was falling. He had just stepped through a portal that, according to old friend and distinguished Admiral Tanaya Vantos, was safe. Not perfectly safe, but safe nonetheless. It seemed, as Datrox had begun to piece together while also trying not to die, that someone, somewhere, had made a mistake. A mistake that had put the Toa of Fire in the air above what seemed to be Metru Nui, now sending him plummeting towards its streets. He searched himself in vain for something that could save him, cursing Vantos, Mata Nui, and any other mech or being that could have possibly put him in this situation. The only thing that could save him now was a stroke of pure luck. And luck, it seemed, was on his side today. A figure soared towards him, wrapped his arms around him, and placed him on the roof of a skyscraper. After taking back everything he thought earlier, and stumbling a bit as he got used to standing on solid ground again, he thanked the figure, who he now saw was a Toa of Air in green and grey armor. He wore a Kadin, explaining his flight capabilities. "Karvan?" The Toa of Fire nodded, confused. "Datrox Karvan?" The Toa of Air put his hand out, expecting Datrox to shake it. "Kavi Morr. I'm with your away team," he said. Datrox didn't reciprocate the handshake. "Ah, yes, the Olmak heist," the Toa of Fire reminded himself, realizing that he was so preoccupied with not hitting the sidewalk at terminal velocity that he had almost forgotten why he was in another dimension in the first place. "Where's the other one?" Kavi withdrew his hand. "Other--oh, Nale? She's in Ga-Metru. We've been looking for you," the Toa of Air said, "didn't think you'd fall from the sky." Datrox faked a smile, clearly not seeing the humor in the situation. "We should probably get going," he suggested, "where are we now?" "Onu-Metru. Which, by the way, was the last place I was expecting to find a Toa of Fire." Kavi looked over his shoulder at the now-setting twin suns. "Take my hand." Datrox complied with some hesitation. "What are you--" The Toa of Air flew off, with a terrified Toa of Fire holding onto his hand for dear life. ***** Soon, the two entered Ga-Metru, landing (somewhat) gently near a school. Datrox leaned against a wall, grasping his chest. "Never," he paused to gasp for air, "do that again." Kavi laughed. "You seem pretty easily frightened for a hardened galactic officer." The Toa of Fire stood up straight. "I deal with criminals and warlords. I'm used to it. Getting dragged through the sky by a mech I just met is different." Kavi shrugged, and started walking towards a liquid protodermis fountain. "Commander, he's here." A female Toa of Magnetism wearing a Kakama stepped out of a nearby alleyway. Datrox noted her chest and shoulder armor were emblazoned with intricate patterns, and that she had a rifle on her back. "Karvan?" The Toa of Fire was beginning to hate the sound of his own name. "Datrox Karvan?" He nodded, deciding to ignore his feelings of deja vu. "Nale Vella. I've heard...things about you. Mostly good things, though." The Toa of Magnetism put her hand out. This time, Datrox shook it. "Commander Vella of Rode squad. I thought your name sounded familiar. I've heard mostly good things about you, too." She smiled. "You can see why Vantos picked me to lead you two, then." Nale pulled out a pyramid-shaped device and sat it on the edge of the fountain. She pressed a button on the side and a holographic map appeared. "Now that you're here, Officer Karvan, we can begin the search for our target." The image of a being whose species could not be immediately identified appeared near the map. Datrox jumped slightly. He recognized him. He was the Dark Hunter who killed his Toa team.
  7. This is the review Topic for my Epic "The story of Toa Imrukii" Here you can discuss thing such as, what to add to the story, what to change, and what specific details you would like to read about in the story! Okay, have fun! The Epic: here
  8. Before I begin, this is the story of the character who is my self-moc, this story I've been concocting for many years, just through thought alone. Imrukii, that is the name of that whom challenged the Makuta Teridax, explored the unexplored, and saved Bota Magna from certain disaster. The hero to save all from total war, the one to challenge and ultimately defeat the Great Beings, the one to defeat the Zyglak race, and the one who sacrificed himself to stop the return of Makuta Teridax, and inspired the formation of the reformed Makutine and the eventual unification of Spherus Magna. Chapter One: His Origins, and Discoveries on the Southern Continent. A dark cloud lay over his conscious core, sensing a great deal of heat and warmth, yet seeing nothing but darkness, and feeling a strange mix of dread and comfort, he barely opened his eyes to the world, before the light faltered his new senses. He closed his eyes once more, feeling his arms, legs, body, and the mask on his face. He was born, to a world of mystery and greatness, little did he know about himself, he knew nothing of the world around him, who he was, or what he could do. Hearing his first words "Hello, Imrukii." his conscious entered the realm of the living, he was free from the limbo of unknowing, of fear, of dread. Imrukii rose from his position, opened his eyes to see a strange figure before him, this figure looked small and staunch, yet wise and somewhat caring. The figure held a strange staff, with a glowing red flame at the top of it. His mask was orange, with a tint of silver, and red. His body was draped in a strange cloak, with symbols so strange, yet so familiar. A Ta-Matoran, he was built to work as a mask maker in Metru Nui, Not remembering how he got to this transport vessel, he dropped his head, and put his hands to it, a headache...? Arriving to his place of work, he found great sorrow in slaving away at the forge, for his work though slow and laboring, came out to be fantastic feats of craftsmanship, it was some of the best work seen in his time, in fact. However, though he enjoyed concocting up new mask designs, and the concept of creating such masks. He loved creating, it made him wish to make more, however the extreme conditions that he was exposed to were nothing short of terrible. He greatly disliked mask making for this one reason, and one reason alone. This made him want, no, need to be free, to explore the world. Not knowing much, he slaved away for months, perhaps even years, he didn't know, he knew nothing more that, how to make masks. Long, long, and longer time passed him by, day by day, thoughts raced through his head "Why was I born?" "When will it all end?" "will I ever be free?" He slaved away each day everyday to make new masks for more Matoran to come, and ones who already were alive. He would keep this grueling task going for years, as it were. On the day when he would have finally lost it, broken down, that day was the day where he finally was granted the chance to be free. The Turaga of Metru Nui at the time granted it to Imrukii. Imrukii helped so very much for everyone in Metru Nui. At his most open moment of freedom, he set out on the task to explore the newly discovered Southern Continent, he accepted this duty. Carried via Air Ship courtesy of the then Turaga of Metru Nui, he arrived to the land of the south. Finally he thought, this would be his chance to do something meaningful with himself, with his life. He would come to discover much in the way of rich fertile lands, plant life of great variety, and great opportunity here, for all Matoran. His first day to this new land, he and his assigned a team of four other matoran from different walks of life form Metru Nui. One of these Matoran would come to be a dear friend of his. His name was Corsune, seemingly a Matoran of Fire, Corsune had a red body, dark red legs, black hands and feet, and a noble orange Kanohi Ruru. Two of the other three were less notable, a Le-Matoran who imrukii never got to know the name of due to their separate work on the land, this Matoran was all green with a teal Kanohi Kakama, the third one was a Matoran of stone who had dark brown limbs, a dark brown body, tan feet and hands, and a tan Kanohi Rau. The fourth one of the group was already a dear friend to Imrukii, This Matoran was named Talleth, he wore a noble green Kanohi Hau, had dark green limbs, grey hands and feet, and silver highlights. They set up camp in a small enclave close to the northern shores. On his second day, Imrukii and his team went out into the thick brush, for months they collected new plants, took soil samples, and made detailed observations of what they saw. "We saw the vast peaks to the south of us, looking as though they where chipped away from a vast expanse of volcanic stone, appearing to the east of us, we could spot a vast jungle of tall trees. looking as though it were a blanket of green. We could hear loud high pitched screeching from some Rahi, currently unknown to us". Exploring westward on the shores they could see two great volcanoes far from each other, but seeming equally as vast from where they were standing. Discovering a great expanse of wet rich heritable land, with vast marshes, a region of arid stone to the east of it, and a valley of cool dry air. On his return to Metru Nui, he thought much of his life, what he wanted to do in life beyond just being a Matoran worker, he thought of the people he met. His thoughts raced back to the two other friends of his from Metru Nui, Kira (Keir-rah) a rebellious, yet lawful Matoran of Water who had a blue body, dark blue limbs, grey feet and black hands, wore a dark blue Kanohi Kaukau, and donned a trident and shield combo set, made by a skilled Protosteel-smith named Charaeu (Char-rou), a Matoran, who Imrukii didn't personally know, but an honorable one at his work, that much he knew. Then there was Zoark (Zo-Oark), seemingly a Matoran of Ice, Zoark held his true Elemental nature a secret for years, you see his kind, De-Matoran were going missing, believing either a Virus, or something else was to blame, he hid himself away from most. Living as a hermit for many years of his life, he decided to take up carving, it wasn't for him though. He enjoyed hiking quite a lot, but on Metru Nui he couldn't do this, due to it's blatant lack of any mountains and or hills. So he would often sneak away on cargo boats to other lands, lands that he didn't know of by heart to escape his life of isolation and cold. It was then, Imrukii remembered, it was his place in this world, to do good, make others happy, and to rebel against all forms of Evil. On his return home, he found himself at a ceremony dedicated to him. Confused by this at first, he asked what was happening. He was told that he was to show the things he found, carefully he brought out each of the plants that he found, he taught of what he found with these new plants, though he didn't know much about the things he had found (they would have to be analyzed later), he moved on to the Rahi that he found, first starting off with the small ones, than moving on to the large and larger ones, He discover a miniature species of Muaka, three new species of Rat, twenty new insect species, thirteen of which were small, and the rest of which were larger species, one of these species being the Nui-Rama, another one being a species of non-electric lightning bug. on and on time passed until he was finally done with the ceremony, from there on many were inspired to explore on and to discover other lands. From there he was declared a great hero, he was granted the opportunity to live out the rest of his life on the island of Artakha. After much thought, he eventually accepted the offer. The day he arrived, he was shown his new home, shown the local markets, he was given a new mask by Artakha himself, it was a copper Mask of Victory, a Huna specifically. He would don this mask later on in his life, during his great resistance against the Makuta Teridax years later. Prior to this, Imrukii wore a Black unpowered Mask of Conjuring.
  9. Bionicle: The New Order By: Renzari Part 1: Start "Sora my lord, the intruder is in the citadel!" "What?" Natalie, Sora's personal assistant continues her announcement, "I'm sorry, but we need to leave immediately!" "No, let us see how this goes" Sora says with a grin on his face. Sora has ruled the island of Okoto for many generations and no rebellion group ever got farther than the main gate. This event was exciting the lord and his need to kill was never greater than this. As he activates his unholy armor, an intruder appears without warning, pointing his gun at Sora. During this moment, Sora was already ready to kill and positioned his bladed staff towards the intruder's neck; a stalemate. This was the beginning of The New Order. ----- In the technological village of Kuruho, Nilkuu and his father, Varkuu, are training in the village stadium. Nilkuu uses an ancient skill passed generations to generations, "Elemental Burst". This skill, however, can drain all the energy away from the user if they are not careful. "Thanks Dad, I think that helped a little" "It gets harder from here, so be careful". Varkuu had just finished teaching Nilkuu how to activate "Elemental Burst" for ambushes and sneak attacks. "Hey Dad, I need to tell you something very important" Nilkuu looks worried. "What is it?" "I am joining the rebellion" Nilkuu says, trying to keep a straight face. Silence surrounds the area. Varkuu thinks of what he had just heard and replies a simple "Okay son". ----- "Hey Vizuna, have you heard the news!?" "Huh? What news?" Vizuna and Kivoda are both junior villagers who live in the Divoku village and are best friends. "A rebel group has successfully infiltrated the citadel!!!" Kivoda couldn't hold her astonishment while screaming at Vizuna's face. "What are you talking about? No rebel group can be that strong. Where did you hear this anyway?" Vizuna looked at Kivoda with a doubtful look. She hesitated for a moment, then explained herself. "Well, you know how I have been trying to master Okotian magic? Well, I learned a new spell to peek into other areas of the island and..." With that she took out her book, chanted some words, and showed Vizuna the scene, which shocked her. "Oh... my... god..." ----- "WHY YOU PUNK!!" Korgot picks up a villager. The villager, confused and frightened, slowly mutters "W-what are you talking about?" "WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP HIM!! HE IS NOT A GOOD PERSON!! YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT!!" Korgot kept yelling at the villager when his friend, Tarin, shows up. "Jeez Korgot, can't you stay calm for..." Korgot heard him and instantly calmed down. He then looked at Tarin and cut him off. "Huh? Oh, sorry. This punk just saw Ekimu take Narmoto in there to talk..." He points to a small shop to his right, then drops the villager. He runs away while Korgot concludes his explanation with Tarin. "Tarin, we need to stop him!" Tarin took a breath. "Look Korgot, maybe Ekimu isn't such a bad guy. We went over this, just because he..." "Look, I am stopping him from whatever he is going to tell Narmoto and you can either come with me or stay out of it" Tarin shrugged and replied "Alright, do what you want. I just don't want anyone dying" "Oh don't worry. If anyone is going to die, it's going to be Ekimu!" ----- "Oh look, there's Korgot. I really want to talk to him, but I have business to do." After saying this, Ekimu spots Narmoto and starts to walk faster. "Oh Narmoto! Can we have a talk?" Narmoto heard Ekimu but ignored him. He had an irritated look on his face. "Oh come on, don't ignore me. You know I always have important stuff to talk about!" Narmoto looked his way and replied "Fine Ekimu, what is it?" "Oh, we aren't talking here. How about in there?" He pointed to a small shop to his left. Narmoto nodded and followed him in. After going inside, they found a table in the far corner of the shop and took their seats. "Alright, what is it?" Narmoto was still irritated. "Oh don't worry, this isn't going to be long. You know the new rebel group 'The Lost Order'?" Narmoto looked to Ekimu in interest. "Yeah, what about them?" Ekimu continues with an evil looking smile "They just took over the citadel" "WHAT!?" ----- "Look, sir, we need to get in now!" Kevin looked at his leader with disgust. "Do not worry, Flixen will open our way in" With this, arrows with specialized explosives fell from the sky and onto the main gates of the citadel. As explosions went on, Renzari and Kevin went in, weapons ready. "Intruders! All forces to the main gate!" Soldiers came in from all angles, then one of the generals charged in. "Kevin, go for the general! I'll go in to kill Sora!" Renzari was serious about this mission and blew soldiers away while Kevin charged his double bladed staff in the general's direction. As the battle continued, Renzari stormed in and took out the royal guards. As he approaches the final room, he gets his Proto-Rifle ready. He runs in and points his gun to Sora's head but realized that there was a bladed staff at his neck. "######, a stalemate" he said to himself while staring at the one ruler he came to kill. The New Order starts now! Part 1: End

    Toa Raika Review

This is the review topic for my fanfic, The Toa Raika. The first chapter and the first three parts of the second chapter are already on the Lego Message Boards, so I will be copying them to here.

So, this is a fanfic based on a (rather flawed) theory I made a couple weeks ago, about the Toa Inika being dead and "revived" using the souls of other dead beings from the Red Star. Soon after posting the theory, a fellow BZP member, Ghidora131, said that it would make a good fanfic. So, I PMed him and we started planning. What we came up with makes one of the darkest years of Bionicle even darker, and the ending will leave you questioning your very existence. We've changed events prior to 2006 as well, such as the deaths of characters that did not die in canon. So, without further rambling, here's what you came for. Discussion Topic Deignition A fan-made story written by BZP members Arzaki and Ghidora131. Okay yeah, so this chapter was absolutely god-awful and I hate myself for writing. I know that literally no one is ever going to see this, but just in case someone ever does, they'll know just how absolutely terrible this is and they don't have to waste their time reading it. Trust me, it's terrible. Ghidora and I might continue back on this soon. Maybe. Hopefully I put more effort into the chapters that I write, because wow, this one was so terrible. I really should just nuke this epic. Just clean it off the face of the earth. Chapter 1 A Bit of Exposition Takanuva was lost in thought as he led the Matoran to their destination. Of course, not much thought really remained in his mind. He had lost some of his sanity during his adventures around Mata Nui. He had seen almost half of Po-Koro wiped out by the plague, and witnessed the destruction of Ga-Koro firsthand. The main causes of his slight insanity were watching Jaller die and himself going through the experience of being fused with another being. Despite being a bit off his rocker, Takanuva was still relatively competent, and knew that he needed to the protect the six Matoran he was escorting. Jaller, the leader of this group, picked the bravest Matoran he knew for this mission. These five brave Matoran were Kongu, Hahli, Nuparu, Hewkii, and Matoro. Hewkii and Hahli weren’t at the peak of their strength, but they were still bold. Hewkii was severely weakened and slightly senile due to contracting the plague of Po-Koro and witnessing most of this closest and life-long friends drop dead in front of him. Despite overcoming the sickness, his body never really got over its effects, and he still feels terrible for being too weak to help Ga-Koro during the Bohrok invasion. He blames himself for the destruction of the village and for the extreme injuries Maku took during it. Hahli, too, was scarred by the destruction of Ga-Koro. Other than being injured herself, she saw Maku get nearly killed by debris. Due to the terrible things that happened in her life, she lost faith in Mata Nui, and blames him for all that has happened. When she heard that he was dying, she was almost glad. However, she could not refuse Jaller’s invitation to this mission. He was one of the few friends she had left. After a while of walking, the group of seven came across a tunnel, which absorbed all waves of light and sound. The group tied their hands to each other to prevent getting lost, and made their way through the tunnel with little commotion. Matoro, however, thought he felt another being with him, and helped this being escape the tunnel with him. He exited last, and when he looked back into the tunnel after making sure everyone else was there, he saw no one. It was at this point that Matoro started to that he might have been going insane, or maybe he was hallucinating due to the lack of senses. After a few more minutes of travelling, the group came across an old gateway, made of some sort of gray stone. On the other side was a lonely looking Matoran, who ran away upon seeing the group. Everyone chased after him, but a barrier of some strange substance materialized in front of Takanuva just as he was about to go through the gate. He and the Matoran were separated, and it didn’t take rocket science to figure that one out. After attempting to bid farewell through some sort of wall, Takanuva reluctantly headed back through the tunnel to his home of Metru Nui. The rest of the group resumed their chase. The startled Matoran led them to a land known as Karzahni. The land where dust rises, fire is cold, and ice burns. Dangerous Rahi ran rampant, and all around were strange looking Matoran who appeared absolutely miserable and lonely. Soon after they entered, they were approaching by the ruler of this land, also named Karzahni, who captured them and took their masks, replacing them with strange new ones. He forced them to work in the furnaces and forges of the land, but kept Hahli so that she could tell him of the outside world. Hours of work and hard labor led to exhaustion for the other five Matoran, and it was a relief when an obviously senile Matoran approached them. He told them to follow him and gather any friends they had. While Kongu went looking for Hahli, the other four followed the clearly insane Matoran to a room that had sort of strange cannon-esque devices overlooking an ocean. The odd Matoran told the other four to enter the canisters mounted on the walls, so that he could bust them out of there. Before they could manage to enter the canisters, Kongu and Hahli sprinted into the room, very out of breath. Seconds later, the thundering footsteps of Karzahni could be heard before the entire wall came down in an explosion of flame and stone. One stone hit Hewkii directly in the head, knocking him out cold. Oh, the irony. As Karzahni stepped over the small remaining part of the wall, his foot landed directly on Kongu, crushing and killing him. He switched his attention to Hahli, the closest living Matoran, and struck her with his flaming chains. She died soon after due to impact. Laughing maniacally, Karzahni continued to whip his chains throughout the room, eventually killing every Matoran in there. He stuffed the dead bodies in the canisters to dispose of them, and launched them using the cannons in the room. He watched as they flew through the air, toward the area known as Voya Nui. He used his Kanohi Olisi, the Great Mask of Alternate Futures, to see what might happen to the canisters. What he saw surprised him greatly. He saw the canisters washing ashore Voya Nui, with bodies larger than those he placed in them emerging from the cylindrical vehicles. They were cackling with crimson colored electricity, the likes he had never seen before. Weapons had somehow materialized with them, and the six beings crossed said weapons above them. A magnificent beam of light shot forth from the point where the tools crossed, straight into the air, parting the clouds as it pierced them. The storm was coming, and it wouldn't stop for anything.

    The Toa Raika

Hello! This is the fanfic I have on the Lego Message Boards. I've decided to start posting chapters from it here. Chapter 1: The Arrival, Part 1 Luke arrived home, wiped out but happy. He won his fifth first place award in the gymnastics competition. "I'm going to my room, mom. I'm really tired-exhausted, " he said. After stumbling upon Bionicle when he was 5 (he's 15 now), he fell in love with the air element and quickly picked up treespeak. As he collapsed onto his bed, he took a look around his room. Gymnastics trophies, skydiving pictures, him earning his pilot license... he really loved his element. If it was my element, he thought sourly. He knew it wasn't real, but hey, can't someone dream? Finally, he looked at his favorite shelf. It held all the air-related Bionicles that were released. All versions of Lewa, Kongu, Matatu, there was Gresh, Tardak, even Ehlek...he grinned when he saw the Phantoka Lewas and Tanma and then them again, but this time connected. His parents didn't understand why he wanted two of the same sets. He sighed, and started getting ready for bed. ..he sighed and got out of bed, planning to play some Bionicle Heroes. Luke barley got out of bed when he heard a loud pop behind him. He spun around and came face-to-face with...an Olmak? Well, it wasn't exactlaly an Olmak, it looked like it had the Vahi merged on it. Either way, an Olmak isn't particualry a friendly face. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF MATA NUI IS GOING ON-HAPPENING?!?" he shouted. "Shh!" replied the stranger. He had on a brown trech coat, shoes, pants; he actually looked a bit like the 10th Doctor, minus the glasses. "There's no time to explain. Well, actually there is, but I like to be dramatic." The Olmak-Vahi wearing person spun Luke around. The last thing Luke saw before leaving this world was Tanma. The av/le-matoran was going to play a bigger role in Luke's life than Luke ever imagined... "One down, five to go" the stranger muttered as he teleported out of Luke's room.
  13. [uPDATE] link to the original fanfiction for those who are curious has been provided. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/2940708/1/The-Turning-Point Here is a dramatic reading of the Final chapter of Turning Point by Tollian. It was one of the best fanfics I've read back in the day and figured it'd be fun to try and voice all of the metru (and a few surprises). 14. A Toa version of the Matoran Kapura from the original series. Armed with two catch swords capable of launching bolts of fire. Toa Kapura wears a Mask of Confusion, a corruption of his powerless Noble Ruru created by the insane Great Being on Bota Magna. The Mask of Confusion has the ability to cause headaches and mental confusion among targets, but only for a short moment. This is not the Kapura from The Kingdom alternate universe, rather a fanfic-based custom creation where the Chronicler's Company become Toa after the reformation of Spherus Magna. This design is based off of the 2015 edition of Tahu, and was made using LEGO Digital Designer. If there's a demand for it, I'll upload the saves.
  15. I wrote my first story! Crotesius had to get back to the village. He had to! If he didn’t his best friend might not live to see sunrise. He picked Keeru up and helped him walk back to the Cendox. Keeru moaned in pain with every step. “I’m so sorry” Crotesius whispered, out of breath from carrying the other Agori. They had been exploring ruins that Keeru had found the day before, when Keeru hit a trap set by whoever had lived there. The old Thornax fruit had rotted, so there was little damage, but the explosion dislodged some stones causing Keerus legs to be trapped. His only chance for survival was having his friend amputate one of his legs, or he would end up as food for the Zesk. Now they had little time to get back to the village before Keeru bled out. Crotesius started the Cendox, its engines almost loud enough to drown out Keeru’s moans of pain. Almost. Through tears, Crotesius rode through the vast Bara Magna desert, his friend strapped to the back of his craft. Keeru , despite all of his pain saw the Skrall before Crotesius. “skrall” he whispered, his voice shaky with pain and fear. He whispered it a second time before Crotesius heard him, and finally saw the skrall. Crotesius hoped the skrall wouldn’t notice them, and they could drive in peace. The skrall, had other ideas, and started stalking them, hiding in the dunes. Finally, it confronted the pair, bursting out of the sand, brandishing its new toy. “CORDAK” Crotesius screamed in terror. The skrall took aim and Crotesius tried to hit him with his own launcher. The Thornax went astray, but the skralls shot didn’t. Crotesius and Keerus world was suddenly light and thunder, then infinite darkness….. So what do you guys think?
  16. A Bionicle Epic chronicling the life journey of Icthilos, the "cold-hearted" Toa of Ice, who, after forsaking the Toa code and setting out on a vengeful quest agaisnt the Dark Hunters who wiped out the rest of his Toa team, struggles for survival on the newly reformed Spherus Magna. The review topic for this story can be found here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/13921-review-topic-chronicles-of-the-cold-hearted/ Chronicles of the Cold Hearted Part 1 – New World “Well, we’re out. Now what?” Takadox asked mockingly, glaring across the boat at Icthilos, who was still trying to get water out of his ear. Above them, the mighty, several-million-foot tall form of the Mata Nui robot, now ruled by Makuta, rocketed into the sky. Debris still rained down into the oceans of Aqua Magna, sending up huge plumes of water than then cascaded back down, re-flooding the boat that the pair of them had only just managed to bail out. “I said…” Takadox began again, impatience twisting his features, his voice muffled slightly by the breathing apparatus covering his pincered mouth. “I heard you,” Icthilos replied distractedly, “I just don’t care about what you’re saying.” “For a Toa, you’re really quite rude, you know that? You have some serious attitude problems.” Takadox said conceitedly, folding his multi-joined arms and glaring at him with his bulbous red eyes. Icthilos didn’t meet his gaze. He’d seen the hypnosis ability that Takadox was capable of, when he’d ordered their Matoran guide to drown himself after it had become clear that there weren’t enough provisions left for all three of them, and he didn’t want to let Takadox try to do something similar to him. “You can talk about attitude,” Icthilos countered, “as I recall, you sold out your allies to the Makuta. You see where your efforts got everyone.” He pointed to the receding form of the robot. “You aren’t seriously blaming me for this?!” Takadox exploded angrily. “That’s low, even for you. And from what I’ve seen so far, you’re pretty low.” “I’m so low, in fact, that your insults really don’t effect me.” Icthilos scowled, “Or maybe I’m still ignoring you.” Before Takadox could come up with a comeback, a chunk of something indiscernible spiralled downwards and ploughed into the water nearby, generating a wave that buffeted the boat, threatening to capsize it. “Remind me why I agreed to this!” Takadox spat, unfolding his arms and grabbing onto the sides of the boat to avoid getting tipped out. “You were desperate.” Icthilos replied evenly, reflecting on the events that had led up to this. Chasing up some rumours he’d heard on Metru Nui about a tunnel network that had once led from the surface island of Mata Nui to the submerged interior of the robot, he’d tracked down a Po-Matoran who’d been willing to lead him through them in the hopes of escaping the “Makutaverse”. He’d discretely let rumours circulate about his plan, in the hopes that others may join him, but the only one who’d shown up was Takadox, fleeing from those who wanted him dead. Strangely enough, there were a lot of people who wanted Takadox dead. The journey had been a success, and they’d made it out through some orifice in the face of the robot – the nose maybe, or perhaps the mouth – but after falling all the way to the surface below, the boat had nearly been destroyed, and most of the food and provisions had been lost. It had only been thanks to the gallons of water raining down from the sky, and Icthilos’ own ice powers that they’d survived the fall at all. It had been then that Takadox had persuaded the terrified, desperate Matoran to commit suicide, and while he certainly hadn’t agreed with the idea, Icthilos had let it happen. He owed no loyalty to the Matoran anymore. He owed loyalty to no one. “So, you know my story…” Takadox tried to change the subject, “but I know nothing about you. You’re a rogue Toa of Ice, that much is obvious, but Toa don’t go rogue without reason. What’s yours? And, come to think of it, why are your Toa tools built into your armour?” “My team were wiped out by Dark Hunters and I couldn’t do anything to help them.” Icthilos sighed. It seemed he might be stuck with Takadox for a while, so there was no point in trying to keep secrets from him. “I lost my weapon; it was shattered in the battle, and couldn’t channel enough of my power without it to be of any use. I barely escaped with my life, and they all lost theirs. I found some friendly Nyrah Ghosts and had my sword and shield built into gauntlets that I could wear over my armour, so that I wouldn’t lose them again. One day, I intend to destroy the Dark Hunters, all of them, for what happened to my team.” “Wow, that’s deep.” Takadox said mockingly, peering about at the endless blue expanse lapping around them. “There’s no landmasses on this planet.” He said pointedly, ripping off his breathing mask. “I might go for a little swim.” He managed to wheeze, before diving over the side. Icthilos watched the creep from the deep swim away beneath the boat, and sighed to himself. A few centuries ago, he never would have dreamed that he would be consorting with the likes of him. But then again, he never would have dreamed that the entire universe was actually contained within a giant robot, or that Makuta would somehow take control of said robot. How time changed one’s perceptions of what was possible… * * * Hovering in the water deep below the boat, Takadox seethed with anger. He was used to being in control, manipulating every situation and individual to suit his purposes, yet here he was relying on some vengeful rogue Toa, stuck on a largely unfamiliar planet with little to know hope of escape. He was about as far as one could be from controlling the situation. He swum downwards, enjoying the freedom of being able to go where he wished, at least for now. Sooner or later, he would have to return to the boat and formulate a plan. The small amount of food they still had wouldn’t last forever, and he had no idea where to find more on this planet. They needed to make what little they had last for as long as possible. Maybe if Icthilos were to meet with some kind of unfortunate accident? But Takadox knew he would need some kind of weapon to stand even a slim chance of success, and right now, he had nothing. Something glittered in the silt and mud below him, and kicked down to get a better look. It was their dead Matoran guide, who’d sunk like the stone whose element he represented. But what was that in his pack? Takadox dug through it and found a long jagged knife. Perfect. Tucking it into the back of his armour, where it hopefully wouldn’t be noticed, Takadox began the journey back up towards the surface. Now he just needed to wait until the right moment. * * * Time passed, and it was Takadox, more attuned to the tides and currents of the water, who was the first to realise that something was happening. The giant planet in the distance was moving towards them. “No.” Icthilos leant forwards where he sat, frowning at the encroaching celestial mass. “We’re getting closer to it.” Sure enough, Aqua Magna was moving inexorably closer to Bara Magna. And Bota Magna, hovering in the distant beyond Bara Magna, silhouetted by glowing stars, was moving too, it seemed. But how? Why? Almost as soon as it began, the movement slowed, and stopped, and the planets began to drift once more. “Well…” Takadox said hesitantly after a moment, “that was…” A shuddering shockwave rocked the planet, and it began to move once more, much faster, plummeting from the sky towards where, they now saw, the Makuta robot was facing off against another, slightly smaller machine. “What’s going on?!” Takadox shrieked, completely losing it. This situation was so far beyond his control it defied belief. One giant robot had been a chilling revelation, but now there were two of them? And they were fighting? The smaller robot was clearly losing, and now stood, head down and shoulders hunched, smoke pouring from ragged tears in its battered, dusty armour. Then, abruptly, it lurched forward, shoving Makuta backwards, right into the path of a planetary fragment that must have broken off one of the falling celestial bodies. The impact rocked Makuta’s stolen body, and his head crumpled in an explosion of divine white light. It fell, and the planet below was rocked by the impact. And then the two planets slammed into Bara Magna, and the world rocked once more. Icthilos threw his head down as the ocean churned beneath them, and bit back a curse as Takadox went flying, soaring past his head. When the waters settled and Icthilos brought himself to open his eyes, he was confronted by the sight of a wave of golden energy that washed over the newly reformed planet, healing it. Takadox, bobbing in the water nearby, tore off his breath mask as his body began to change, healing the mutations that the pit had cursed him with. Icthilos helped him back on board, and the pair of them stared out across the ocean to see, surprisingly, a shoreline now in sight. “What just happened?” Takadox croaked, examining his new/old body. “I have no idea, but I think it’s time we found out.” Icthilos declared, digging one of the oars out from under the seat and tossing it to Takadox. He took the other for himself, and together, the two outcasts set off towards the shore of the new world. To be continued…
  17. Would anyone be interested in a fanfic where, a year after BIONICLE ended, the toa start popping up in our world and the humans they find themselves with try to balance helping their childhood heroes and their bank accounts while dealing with young adult life in their early to mid twenties? 'Cause I'm kinda writing the middle of the story right now. "You had your chance at the cotillion, you!" ~The Duchess Approves <3
  18. Here are the MOCs of a few characters from a story I'm writing. Story link here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15351-trials-of-the-shadow-toa/ Nulehk, a toa of magnetism. His mask is the Kanohi Kualsi, mask of teleportation, and his weapon is a simple spear made of scrap metal. Alroy, toa of earth. Mask is the Kanohi Akura, mask of dissolving, which allows the wearer to turn to mist and travel in that form. Weapons are a seismic drill and claws. Kotan, toa of air. Mask is the Kanohi Akotu, mask of reqrowth, which allows the wearer to heal any wound with great speed, except for instant fatalities. Weapons are energized swords that can become wings with which to fly. Outa, toa of ice. Mask is the Kanohi Zakor, mask of war. It allows the wearer to fight with more skill and ferocity than normally possible. Weapons are a simple shield and hammer. If you want to use the mask names and powers for any fanfic of yours, don't hesitate to. Just don't take the characters.
  19. So I just want to know if I could post a fanfic serial I've been working on, and if I could, where?
  20. So, here's a fanfic about what happened after the battle of bara magna. I was NOT impressed in the way that BIONICLE ended, so I decided to make it stretch a bit so there could be an ending which promises there will always be more. I have always liked the 'I won't tell more, but the story goes on' type of endings, so this aims to do exactly that with BIONICLE. So, let us start. After the battle of Bara Magna, the great spirit robot is destroyed, so it falls on the new planet. In it's fall, the head ends up surrounded by the newly-made seas coming from the aqua magna fragment. Now, the great spirit robot actually had lots of energy inside it when it exploded, Teridax was killed before he could use up all of the energy. So what happened with the head fragment of the robot? It's systems activated al at once due to the surplus of energy. And, of course, the camouflage system did also (see where i'm going?). With the camouflage systems active, the fragment used up all it's energy and lay still on the sea of spherus magna. The camouflage system, of course, had created an island which we all know well, surrounded by the same waters, but without any inhabitants. Now, the matoran from the matoran universe were having problems with the local population. They did not understand their ways, least of all their scavenging for materials, while it was in the matoran's nature to build. The agori started to skavenge from the Matoran, and the matoran could not understand why the others did not create things. And last of all, the agori did not understand the principles of unity, duty and destiny, because they were never planned as artificial workers inside a robot. Thus, the two races became separated, so the turaga had a meeting in which they decided that the best way to live along with the locals was living in places apart from the agori villages, but mantaining contact with them. So they sent toa to look for areas which would suit the matoran. Eventually, Takanuva came to the new island on the head of the great spirit robot, and recognised there his old home, in which he explored, fought and (sometimes) worked. So he went to the turaga and spoke to them about their old island, which was close to the coasts, but somewhat isolated. If they settled there, they could be in contact with the Agori, but still live like thay always had, with their koros and all. But there is a problem: the new planet is huge. There are not enough toa to defend everything from vorox, bone hunters and others. So a new generation of Toa is required. One which can defend the matoran on the new Mata Nui, but not leave the rest of the matoran undefended. So lesovikk steps in. He wants to clear his name for the murder of karzahni. As he cannot prove his innocence, he would rather be a turaga than a toa which no one trusts. So lesovikk transfers his toa powers to toa stones, and gives them to the Toa Nuva, so they can decide who gets the stones from the matoran of Mata Nui. The toa Nuva, of course choose the chronicler's company, because they had already proved their worth in the great war. The new toa team, the toa magna, travel with the rest of the mata nui matoran to the new island to start again with the building, as they did a millenia ago. So, what do you think? I have thought of more, of course. Should I continue writing? Is it too unlikely? Would any of you be interested in such a story? Do you like the idea of bringing back the island which we loved when we werekids trying to figure out how to play MNOG?
  21. Well, Transformers: Age of Extinction is coming out soon...so far, however, I don't like most of what I've seen. I do think a Transformers 4 could be done well, and I still have hope for that movie being good, but... I still feel the desire to do my own take on "Transformers 4" for some reason. So, set after the events of Dark of the Moon...here it is. For reference purposes, all returning characters from DOTM have the same appearance as before, simply because I'm not a fan of AOE's redesigns. Apologies for the gray outline around the text, I wrote this on another site, and copypasted it to another site, and then copypasted it from that site to this site. The other option was a dark blue outline and light blue text, if you guys would prefer that, just say so. Review Topic --- Earth. The home of humanity, and our kind. A world made free from the threat of the Decepticons. As far as we know, there are none that remain. It's been four years without a single Decepticon incursion on this planet, even of the most minor type possible. After eons of war, we have finally secured our freedom. As far as we know. Thundering, rapid noises filled the arid desert air. Ceaseless yelling and gunfire from both sides were all that could be heard. "This has been going on for two hours! Do we have to fight until everyone on each side is dead?!" A U.S. soldier threw a grenade, but his fatigue got the best of his aim, and it went off to the side. "It's only been thirty mikes, now straighten yourself out!" Colonel Lennox shot a suicide bomber in the head, causing him to slip, slide, and stop thirty meters from them. "Get down!" The grenade and the bombs strapped to the man went off at the same time, leaving ringing in everyone's ears. With the Decepticons gone, NEST veterans have been re-assigned to special forces teams fighting human conflicts from before the Autobots first came here, in search of the Allspark. Though we secured our freedom, we have not yet secured peace. A silver blur raced across the battlefield, spinning to avoid a grenade, then killing several of the terrorists with one shot from each of his twin shotguns. "I got caught up on that hideout demo op! They got their hands on the same high-heat rounds you guys were packing during the old war!" Sideswipe jumped, flipping over a line of machine gun fire, then threw his sword. "AARGH!" A terrorist leapt backward as the sword slammed down through the machine gun, slicing the barrel off. Sideswipe landed right in front of him, pulling his sword from the sand. "That explains why you took so long to show up seven of our guys got killed. Take 'em out, I'm calling evac." Lennox shook his head. Sideswipe fired once more, destroying a pickup truck with a machine gun mounted on it. He watched tiny people flee in panic. A helicopter touched down a few meters behind him. He turned, watching soldiers, some of them bleeding badly, get inside. But the battle was won, so it was time for him to get to his evac. He transformed and drove off. "Pilot. Are we headed back to base?" Lennox looked out of the helicopter just in time to see Sideswipe driving into the back of a plane. "Yes, sir. The big guy wants to see you." "Another debate on what to do next?" The exhausted colonel rolled his eyes, then looked to his left. A medic was administering first aid to a wounded soldier on the move. "No, sir. Not General Morshower. The big guy." --- Lennox walked into yet another classified base. Classified had begun to lose its meaning for him. After all his time in special forces and NEST, classified was just his average day at work. Though now, NEST didn't exactly exist. The Autobots stayed at any classified base where they wished to, whether it was formerly affiliated with NEST, or not. "All right, sir. I'm here." The headlights on a familiar semi truck flashed. No matter how many times he saw it happen, Lennox was always amazed at the sight of Optimus Prime transforming. Panels, gears, and pistons shifted, producing all manner of interesting sounds, and finally coming to rest in the form of the mighty Autobot leader. "It never ends. War." Optimus looked down at Lennox, attempting to speak to him on equal terms. It was always awkward, with him being a titanic robot, but he always had to try. Lennox shook his head. "Seems like it, sir. At least the world doesn't hang in the balance every single time now." "At ease, Colonel. This is not a military meeting, I simply wish to speak to you." Optimus got down on one knee, so as to get closer to Lennox. That seemed to help create the feeling of conversing as equals, or at least get as close to it as possible. "People just keep dying. And now we got reports of the stuff we used to fight the Decepticons being used to fight you guys." Optimus moved his arm in such a manner that his forearm was right in front of Lennox. At first he didn't realize what he was meant to be looking at, but soon Lennox saw a scorched hole there. "Indeed. And now the morale of many of us, even some Autobots, is falling." Lennox realized what this was about. "Optimus. I'm not going to give up. You know me that well. I still think we can actually end this." "We can't rely only on ourselves, Lennox. Our friends, our brothers, need our help." "I do the best I can. Sometimes they die anyway. Autobots have died too." "I was referring not to the physical aspect, but the mental. Without conviction, none of us can stand. We must all remember what it is we fight for." "I know that...I just hope the rest of the guys in my unit do." "Hope without effort is not enough. Help them." Lennox looked straight at Optimus, confused. "With what?" Optimus stood up to his full height, a sign that the conversation had ended. "To remember why they do what they do." --- "Hey, Screech! Come look at this!" Sam Witwicky, now 25, ran over to look at a larger man's laptop. "Seriously, how the ###### do I get that callsign changed?" Having gotten his callsign from the fact that he screams like a little girl, Sam wasn't particularly happy. "I don't know, but this is ###### funny!" With a push of the spacebar, a video of Bumblebee started streaming. "Is that...Bee?" "Yep, on security cam!" The laptop's speakers emitted a metal clanging. Bumblebee, it appeared, was attempting to tap-dance...and failing rather miserably. "Heh. Still not as funny as our unit photo." A short black man, two inches under Sam's height, pulled out a picture from his pocket. "Wait, nononononono, don't show the one from after we finished basic training--" Roaring laughter came from almost everyone present. It was probably warranted, as Sam was being shoved by Roadbuster's finger just as the picture was taken, causing him to fall over. Of course, he wasn't laughing. He had joined the military so he could continue to work with the Autobots even after the Decepticon threat had passed...not so he could get pranked in the middle of a photo everyone in the unit would have a copy of. "...Screw you guys." Sam got up, half-smiling. It was a bit funny...but he'd never admit it. "I gotta go, I want to see Carly before we get our first deployment." --- Bumblebee drove down the open dirt road, Sam sitting in the driver's seat, and as usual, not driving. "Hey, Bee, can I drive for once?" Sam laughed, thinking of how it might be fun. Bumblebee however, was thinking something else. He proceeded to play sound clips from various radio stations of about 16 different people saying "Nope." "Aw, come on. Just once?" A sound with the tone of someone saying, "Oh, well, fine..." resounded inside Bumblebee. Sam grabbed the wheel and attempted to drift. Bumblebee responded with a loud beep of protest, then continued to drive on his own. Sam sighed. "It was worth a try." They continued to drive, as a shadow passed over them. Something had blocked out the sun. "I swear, every time I see clouds do that, I think of the Fallen." Sam was about to laugh when he was shocked out of it by Bumblebee stopping harshly--and drifting. "Oh, so now it's ok--oh." Sam realized why Bumblebee had stopped. It was not a cloud that blocked out the sun, but a massive ship hovering very closely above them. A single, black Transformer decended from it, landing on one knee, then slowly rising. "And so...I've arrived." His green eyes flashed as he looked straight at Bumblebee. Sam got out of Bumblebee immediately, and he had scarcely gotten his right foot out when his old friend began to transform in a hurry. The dark figure's next words told Sam exactly why. "Where. Is. Optimus. Prime."
  22. I am an aspiring writer hoping to try my hand at bionicle fanfiction. That being said although this story is not canon I am going to try and keep it as close to the main story as possible. This takes place at the beginning of the 2008 storyline. If this preview gets good reviews I will post new chapters on my profile blog. Enjoy and please let me know what think. I will let you guys know if I decide to continue the story or not. WHITENESS That was what seemed to surround the white armored being. He had woken up in a seemingly endless room of pure white. Looking around, the being tried to remember how he had got here. "Wherever here is", he muttered to himself. Suddenly he saw himself falling, then there was a great flash of light. Shaking off the vision, the being noticed a sword and a strange blaster-type weapon lying on the floor. "Hmm, are these mine?" he said. He picked up the sword and felt a shock travel through his whole body. A name suddenly appeared in his thoughts. Matoro Memories flooded back into his mind. He remembered that he had died after using the Mask of Life to save the Great Spirit Mata Nui. He also noticed he was an Inika again. "So if I died", Matoro thought, "What am I doing here?" Suddenly an image of the Mask of Life appeared in front of Matoro and began to speak. "I see your memories have returned" the mask said. "Can you explain why I'm here? And where here even is?" asked Matoro. "You are inside of me'' said the Mask. ''When you used the mask your body was destroyed, but I managed to save your mind and spirit before you died. I contained them in here and began to bring you back to life, but to bring your mind back I had to give you some kind of physical form you could attach yourself to. I chose your Inika form simply because it is more familiar to me, and it is what The Great Beings intended you to be''. ''So would it be possible for me to have a true body again?'' Matoro asked. ''I could create a new body for you'' the mask said, ''but I do not wish to release you at this time. You see, I saved you because you intrigued me, Toa. I have never had a mask bearer use my power with such selfless confidence, and heroism. In short, I want to know why you were so different''. ''Great'' groaned Matoro ''I'm nothing more than a curiosity. My life actually has no meaning to you. How ironic, The Mask of Life finds other life meaningless. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I SACRIFICED MYSELF? Matoro yelled, I DID IT BECAUSE THERE ARE THINGS OUT THERE WORTH LIVING FOR! If I didn't try to save Mata Nui all of my friends would be dead with me. Everyone would have died, and even if we somehow survived I could never live with my failure. I never wanted to be a hero, and yet I never realized: It's those who never want to be a hero, that somehow end up saving us all". Matoro looked directly at the mask and said: "If you don't want to give me a body, at least do this for me. ''Become a hero''. The image of the mask vanished, and Matoro sat down and sighed. He had hoped the mask did have at least some emotion in it. Suddenly he felt energy surging through the room, and a window appeared in front of him. Looking through it, Matoro realized he could see the world from the mask's point of view. The mask had created a body for itself and was just finishing creating a hoverboard to escape what appeared to be the bottom of a swamp. As they flew off Matoro heard the mask's voice echo through the white chamber: I will be a hero, in honor of the hero that went before me. Matoro smiled as he watched them fly away from the swamp. It was a new beginning. To be continued. Maybe

The Reganade Chronicles: A Prodigy Table of Contents: Chapter 1: Prices to Pay Link to Review: http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=8045 Chapter 1: A being with dark red and gold armor ran through the forest under the blackened skies, with two white moons and numerous, shining stars providing their light to guide the way of those traveling through the night. Running for his life, the mysterious being used his control over fire to light his path, helping him see better. He wasn’t a being of earth, and thus, was not given the ability to see perfectly fine through the night. The being was what the people of his world called a Toa, a heroic being blessed with control over a certain element, along with a mask known as a Kanohi to grant him access to more powers to aid him in battle. His name was Tahukama, a powerful Toa of Fire. He looked back to see if what was chasing him was gone or not. Sadly for him, the beasts chasing him continued to pursue the Toa. Thinking quickly, he created two spheres of golden flames in the palms of his hands, and quickly came to a halt. He faced the charging beasts and threw the hot balls of fire at the monstrous beings, hoping to stop them in their tracks, giving him enough time to escape. To his luck, the beasts in the front were hit by the fireballs, and caused them to combust into flames. The stopped chasing the Toa, and halted the whole pack while they panicked. The beasts weren’t exactly the most intelligent of monsters. The Toa sighed in relief and ran off while the chaos ensued; he had to find his potential prodigy. However, the leader of this pack of beasts took note of the Toa escaping, and growled with rage. The pack leader tossed aside the other members of the pack with his mighty strength, and followed the mighty warrior, whom was already far away from the distracted pack. The Toa of Fire made his way out of the forest and found himself at a sandy shore, with the dark blue waters crashing down onto the beach. He saw it, his boat, it wasn’t that big, but large enough to hold two Toa and some previsions. He sighed in relief when he saw the sight of the small vessel. He ran towards it, only to be stopped when a huge beast pounced upon his back. The Toa of Fire was slammed into the golden sand, hearing the sound of a snake hissing. The hissing came from the monster that just pummeled him. He turned his focus on the monster and recognized the terrifying beast, “Barok…” Tahukama muttered, “That name no longer has meaning, I am known as Bonar, fool,” the monster known as Bonar hissed. He placed his claw on the beast on the head of the warrior and shoved it into the sand. The Toa squirmed, trying to get free from the monster’s tight grip, and to stop having so much weight on his back. “It’s no use brother, Darix wants your head,” Bonar said as his used his claw as a vice on the Toa, slowly crushing it. The Toa, though in pain, managed to draw out his sword and sliced the free claw of Bonar, causing the beast to scream and hiss, letting go of the Toa. Tahukama quickly got to his feet and ran off to the boat. The monster hissed as he grabbed the claw and stuck it back to his wrist, with cables and skin reconnecting together to reattach the claw that was cut off, “Nice try Tahukama, but blades won’t work on me,” Bonar said with a menacing chuckle as the armor and skin on his unusual large lower arms stretched and opened up, as two twin axes came from the skin and bone of this beast, one from the left, and one from the right. They came out with some sort of fluid covering them, dropping to the sand with the heads pointed to the ground. He grabbed the axes and hissed as he charged at the Toa with great speed. The Toa of Fire faced the blunt side of the sword to protect him from the swinging axes. Though the sword protected the Toa, the force of the axe caused him to lose his ground and send him flying a few yards away. He grimaced as he got up slowly, using his sword to help him up. But he wasn’t given a chance to recover, as Bonar started to charge again, axes still in his claws. The Toa of Fire quickly jumped away from the monster at the last moment before they would make contact, and rolled away to the water, quickly getting up, and sharply turned towards the beast so his back was never facing the monster. After all, scars on the back are a swordsman’s shame, “Trust me, and heed my words,” Tahukama said as he slowly inched towards his boat, “This, “evolution” as you and your kind call it is nonexistent, it isn’t evolution, its corruption, not moving forward,” “You see though, we were once renegades, hungry for power, and now we have it,” Bonar said, “We have achieved powers beyond our wildest dreams,” “At what cost?! Becoming these… mutations?! Experiments? Just for power? Barok, this power is artificial, it will come back to ruin your life,” Tahukama stated, “MY NAME IS NO LONGER BAROK!” Bonar growled, releasing a ear-piercing roar, “I am Bonar! Leader of the Virus Mutants! I can kill a Toa such as you in a matter of minutes!” “Well,” Tahukama chuckled as he was almost at the boat, “I’m afraid you statement is false, as you see, I’m still living and breathing,” “I don’t need your snarky remarks Tahukama!” Bonar yelled as he charged at the Toa. But luck and fate were being kind and merciful for the Toa of Fire, as he managed to cast off, moments before the monster made it towards him. As the monster made it to the water he went to a full stop. His mutation had made him unable to swim. He looked at the water and then watched the Toa of Fire sail off, while the monster hissed and then growled yet again, “I curse you Tahukama to the deep and chaotic parts of Karzahni!” Bonar yelled to the Toa sailing off. Tahukama heard the beast yell at him, but all he did was give a hardy laugh. He rowed his boat out into the sea, while the moons and stars provided some light, not as much as the two suns, but it was enough to help him keep an eye out for any obstacles. He sighed, the past 10 years had brought to much change… his whole team was disbanded for two reasons. One reason was because some of them died, while the rest, like Darix and Barok (Or, Bonar now), had become mutations, lead by his old co-leader, Darix. Too much had changed, at one point, he and his team treated each other like family, now, the rest of his team mates that were still alive, wanted Tahukama dead. He couldn’t keep escaping death, he had to find someone to take his place. Three days pass… Meanwhile, on a small, relatively unknown island, an auction was going on. This island was home to thugs and pirates, and home to the black market. What was being auctioned? A Toa of Water, a White Ash bear (extremely hard to come by), a Toa of Stone, and a Ta-Matoran who was unlucky enough to be a part of an invasion in the Southern Continents that happened not a few weeks ago. The Ta-Matoran’s name was Zacax. He was minding his own business in his blacksmith shop when some rogue Toa came and invaded the small village and kidnapped several matoran who were already auctioned off two days ago, leaving him left. The auctions here on this island went to ways. If you were sold, that’s luck, but if no one buys you, you get killed and your armor is placed on the black market or smelted into metal. His body shook, causing the sound of metal clanking. His feet were cuffed and so were his hands, with chains that were attached to the cuffs and attached to the platform. The Toa seemed calm on the outside, though this was simply a cover to hide their fears, and the white ash bear was growing antsy and wasn’t comfortable being held back by chains. “Alright then,” a voice said to the crowd. The voice belonged to a rogue Toa of Iron, who walked onto the stand with sacs of widgets and gold tied to his waist, which you could hear the sound of coins and metal shaking and swaying in the bag as he walked, “These are our last items for auction. Two Toa, a White Ash Bear and the last Matoran from one of our recent raids, let’s start with the rahi,” The ash bear roared in rage when it was pointed out. “A rare beast we found in the icy regions of the Southern Continents,” the Toa said as he gestured his hand to the white Rahi, “Do I hear 500 widgets?” Zacax gulped when he saw the multitude of hands and claws reached into the sky for a moment. He turned his head and heard the sound of laughing coming from the rogue Toa. Well…this is gonna be good… The matoran thought. In only a matter of minutes, the price was raised to a whooping 15,000 widgets. After that mark, no one else would raise the price any higher, and the bear was sold to a green and gunmetal Skakdi, he was the one who raised the price to 15,000, and apparently had the cash to pay the price. “Now, how about this fine lass?” the rogue Toa of Iron asked as he gestured to the Toa of Water. By the end the price was 20,000 and the Toa of Water was sold to a Toa of Fire. Then, came the time auction off Zacax, “Next, this small Ta-Matoran of Fire! We found him in a blacksmith shop so might be of use! Do I hear 100 widgets?” the Toa of Iron asked, The crowd was silent. Usually, the last Matoran to them was worthless if he was the last one left, despite the information given to them by the one auctioning him or her off. The poor matoran only shakes even more, he didn’t see a single hand raise up. Until, he saw a small hand in the air, “100 widgets! Going once… Going twice,” the Toa of Iron said as he waited for more response. But after a minute of waiting, no one else responded, “Sold to the cloaked…eh…person!” The Toa of Iron said as the cloaked being approached the platform. The cloaked being handed the Toa of Iron the money, while some Skakdi undid the chains and cuffs that prevented the Matoran from escape. To be honest, Zacax prefers being sold as a slave to being turned into scrap. The cloaked being grabbed Zacax's wrist and pulled him off stage. The cloaked figure lead the Matoran through the crowd, who were now bidding on the final "item" of the day, the Toa of Stone. The being made it to a reasonably sized boat, it had no sail, and seemed to run on some source of energy. The cloaked being looked at Zacax and grabbed the matoran's right arm with both hands and tossed him aboard the boat. The blacksmith known as Zacax fell flat on his face as he made impact with the boat, his entire body felt loads of pain as he tried to stand on his feet. The cloaked being lept onto the boat with such grace and landed on the main deck, showing no sign of pain, nor were the legs bent. "W-who are you?" Zacax asked as he managed to get to his feet. The cloaked being took off the coal that concealed her identity, as she revealed herself as a beautiful Toa of Lighting, "My name is Toa Akora, Toa of Lightning," the Toa revealed herself as, "You are my newest slave," The Matoran gulped, "Great... Uh... Where are we going to?" Zacax asked nervously, "Back to my home," she said as she walked to what appeared to be a trap door. She opened it to reveal the brig of the ship, and quickly went to grab Zacax by his arm, and proceeded to toss him into the brig and shuts the trap door. The room was dimly lit by a single torch, it had a few puddles and cob webs, and seemed to go on and on, despite the ship not being that big in size. He gulped in fear, wondering what would come to his life next.

  25. Chapter 1:The red spartan cocked his shotgun and packed up his grenades. Next to him, a light blue spartan readied her sniper rifle and her energy sword she stole from a Zealot rank Elite. The red spartan also grabbed a rocket launcher and placed it on his back and grabbed an armor lock pack. The red spartan was spartan Z107, his real name was Zac, and the blue spartan was spartan H16G, real name was Hannah. The two finished grabbin their supplies and went on the warthog along with a ODST solider on the turret. "Ready sis?" Zac said putting on his Modified Mark IV helmet."Don't kill us with you driving," Hannah teased readying her sword.Zac just rolled his head and started the warthog, and when the hanger door went up, he drove the car out of the base and into the field filled with covenant troops. The warthog rocketed out o the hanger and was crashing through Grunts, Zac loved to do that to the little maggots. Hannah started to quickly slice through the Jackals and Grunts that were stupid enough to get close to the warthog. The ODST Started to shoot the covenant troops that the sword couldn't reach, until Zac drive them into a safe zone. Zac was almost near an ideal hiding spot, a broken down Wraith they could turn into a small barricade, until the car was flipped to its side by a cloud of blue smoke and fire. They got stuck by a plasma grenade. The three were tossed of the military vehicle and sent flying across the sand. Zac thought quickly and activated his Armor Lock and fell to the sand, unharmed. He deactivated it and got up, only to be hit by his sister who was flung into him by the explosion. "Dang it!" Zac said as he got up pulling out his shotgun, "Could you try to not crash into me?!""Shut up Zac!" Hannah said grabbing her sword from the sand and charged at the owner of the plasma grenade, a Brute. The brute swung it's hammer with Hannah barely dodging the massive weapon, and she sliced its right arm, however it took noticed and grabbed her arm. Zac charges at the brute and used his shotgun and pierced its chest, but stil that monster didn't fall and instead tossed Zac at the warthog. Zac slowly got up and took notice of their ODST team member, dead. Those guys always die, he then took notice of the turret, it's still intact. Zac pushed the warthog back on its wheels and got on the turret. The brute tossed Hannah to the ground and readied its hammer for a final blow, until it was pierced down by hundreds of bullets piercing its skin and it fell to the ground. "Thanks Zac," Hannah said getting up and heading for the warthog,"No problem," Zac said getting into the drivers seat, and Hannah got into the turret, "Let's get back to work,"
