Am I the only person that did these things?
Spiffy247 posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionI recently received a Bricklink order of Bionicle and Hero Factory parts. Among them I ordered black gears to replace the yellow gears on most of the Toa sets I own. (I own all six, but Gali's yellow gears make sense to me) I also ordered pieces to give lower arms to Protectors of Fire and Ice. Did you guys do these things? What little changes did you guys make, if any?
Something for the holiday season
Geardirector posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_1882Well, would you look at that, I have a blog now, isn’t that a delight? Before I belt, I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the one who made this possible: A certain Alaskan acquaintance of mine known as Voxumo. He had won a six-month premier membership voucher in a contest and decided to give it to me since he was already a Premier Member. I'm grateful to get this opportunity, or I would be if I honestly felt like I had a whole lot to say. I probably don't, but some worthwhile blurbs are bound to be rolling around in my head. So we'll see how many of those I can get on here in a proper and orderly manner. Now, with that said, I’d like to start on a strong note, and I know just the thing, we’re in the middle of December, after all, and that makes the perfect opportunity to tell all you guys about someone who’s extremely important to me. Before anything else, just take a listen to this: What’d you think of that? Was it cute, comforting, serene or horrendously chaste? Music is pretty subjective, after all. Well, to me, this sound is synonymous with the Christmas spirit… and with one of my all-time heroes. Say hello to Shoemaker Andersen: This guy… oh man, this guy. He’s from a Norwegian Christmas series that roughly translated is called “Christmas at Shoemaker’s Street”, and it’s a holiday tradition in my house to view it every Christmas. Every day from the 1st of December to Christmas Eve, Andersen counts down the days to Christmas with us, taking a paltry 15 minutes of our time to share the day’s quaint, simple little lesson of the day. And every year, I swear, ever single year when he squints through his glasses and says hello to me, an esteemed member of the viewing audience, I feel something warm and fuzzy tingle through me. There’s just something about that warm smile of his that never ceases to make me feel indescribably good in return, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Shoemaker Andersen is a simple and gentle soul, and he never turns away someone in need, he always has time for other people, and he’s never unwilling to lend a helping hand to those who need it. Shoemaker Andersen’s earnestness and simple outlook on life is a blast to experience, year after year, as I delight in the charming environment he inhabits and the slew of other memorable characters that he interacts with: Like the mail man, who no matter how busy he is, knows that there’s always a warm cup of coffee waiting for him at Andersen’s. Or Police Chief Klinke, who secretly plays board games with Andersen once a month. And let’s not forget Tøfflus, Andersen’s sentient slipper, who lives in his desk and whose favorite food is parsley (which is just fun to say and funnier still to type). Shoemaker Andersen is one of my heroes; he’s someone I strive to be more like, for he’s a genuine inspiration to me: such kindness, such love he shows for his fellow human beings. So a happy December to all, remember your heroes, because everyone needs them. Best wishes - Ole Fredrik Skjegstad
Deflecto - The Dark Guardian (BFTGM)

He was once a great guardian of Okoto, but was corrupted by an unknown force, turning him into a cold, merciless hunter seeking power. His sole mission is to gain possession of the Mask of Ultimate Power, so he can take control of Okoto and rule with a literally cold iron fist. Deflecto is fully mechanical and possesses quick reflexes, and he can calculate and estimate what his opponents will do next and decide what is the best way to defeat him. The more you fight him, the more he learns your fighting style, and the more he will be able to counter it. He wields 2 mythical weapons known as the Blades of Avlanka, which can deflect nearly any form of projectile or elemental power. It can even absorb some of the power and then shoot it back out. So if a Toa of Fire sent a large blast of fire at the blades, they would deflect some of the elemental power and absorb the rest. The blades could then be used to send the power back at the Toa of Fire. The Blades of Avlanka are also very sharp, and can cut through nearly anything. Deflecto also has special laser eyes that can shoot a variety of rays & lasers, ranging from acting as a flashlight to providing X-ray vision to firing powerful energy beams. Deflecto's armor is made of a hard metal alloy consisting of silver, titanium, & platinum, which cannot be penetrated by most weapons. His main weaknesses are his gear-system & slowness. His ancient, mechanical inner-workings are exposed in one spot on his back, and damaging this section will cause Deflecto to be weakened, especially in his arms. His arms are able to spin as fast a saw blade, but damaging his gear-system will cause his arms to be slowed down and weakened. Although his arms are able to move and fight dangerously quickly, Deflecto cannot run very fast, as his legs are quite heavy and are old and rusty. Deflecto's logic systems have determined that the best way to obtain the Mask of Ultimate Power will be to first gain the Golden Skull Spider mask, so he can use the Skull Spiders to defeat and take control of all who oppose him, building up an army that none will be able to resist. He once encountered dimension-and-time-travelling Pohatu Mata and Pohatu Nuva, who had come on a mission to rescue Onua Nuva, Lewa Mata, & Lewa Nuva, who had all come to the Okotoverse to find and capture a villain called Vezon or something... the 3 ended up fighting and getting defeated by 2 dangerous villains known as Zigben & Ventox. When the Pohatus tried to rescue them, they encountered Deflecto, who, upon seeing that they were both wearing Masks of Speed, attacked them with all his strength and power. Pohatu Mata & Pohatu Nuva fought hard, and tried to use large rocks and boulders to stop Deflecto, but the rocks just bounced off of his blades and knocked them out, and they ended up having their masks knocked off, too. And before they could try to fight back and regain their masks, Zigben & Ventox showed up, and they were beat up even more, and left to live so they could, as Zigben said, "tell others about us and spread fear across the island." Zigben also decided he would finish them off later, and left them with their weapons so their defeat "wouldn't be too boring." Deflecto saw the 2 villains as a tool to help him obtain the Golden Skull Spider mask, and joined the now-trio of villains. Zigben promised Deflecto he would give him control over the Stone region of Okoto, but he doesn't intend to live up to his promise, and intends to destroy both Ventox & Zigben. And Deflecto doesn't intend to let Zigben obtain the Golden Skull Spider mask for himself. Knowing Ventox probably intends to betray Zigben and try to poison him, he will take advantage of this and claim the mask for himself while the two fight. He will then use the Skull Spiders to attack & eliminate Zigben & Ventox, using his blades to deflect their attacks. FUN FACT: "Deflecto" is Latin for "deflect", and "avlänka" is Swedish for "deflect". This is my 3rd BFTGM entry. Yes, he does feature an arm gear function, which works as well as the new 2015 sets in that is has full flexibility and does not cause floppy arms! One of my favorite parts of building this MOC was coming up with creative uses for the HF gun & foot pieces! Yes, I know what you're thinking, it's weird that he's using the HF chest armor add-on. I used that because it was the only silver armor I had that looked right, and it seemed to fit the style of the character. Think of the "H" as being a symbol put there when he was built, signifying his now-former status as a heroic guardian. Please feel free to like, comment, and criticize!

TommyG posted a topic in Bionicle DiscussionI recently picked up the main clock piece of the 4193353 Tahu Nuva Clock and was wondering if I could build the rest of it. Unfortunately, I can't find any instructions or even an image of the back of this thing, so can anyone here help me out?

InvaderZeta posted a topic in Bionicle-Based CreationsI'm sure not too many people have seen my original version of Widget (On BZP, my guess would be no one). So here is a quick look at the first version of Widget. Now that you've seen that atrocity, here is the newer and with no doubt WAY better version of him.A little backstory:I made this MOC originally for a silly little contest that had a theme. Gears. So I decided to make Widget, I updated him a few times, realized I didn't really like him much after a while, and took him apart. Then two years later (Now) I just randomly got in the mood to use all my gears again and tried making him better than before. Here are more views and poses:Side/poseBackRandomly standing on one legLooking up...?Yet another side and pose Nifty 360 spin:You Spin Me Right 'Round
