  1. The morning began with a crash. It was the sound of books falling over, off my bookshelf, and onto the floor. I looked up to see two glowing eyes, the irascent blue of a fellow Matoran. Seconds passed, as we breathed together, the tension binding us gently like a cord. I could feel his fear, as acutely as if I were a Psionics Toa. Then it all faded away. The sun rose, and I am a Ko-Matoran. He is, too, although like me I'm not sure if he wants to be. And my books were all in their place. Not one of them was missing or out of place. Almost as if it didn't happen, as if I were only dreaming. I wish I was, but deep down I know I wasn't. * * * [CONTROL TO AGENT 64: We have a new assignment for you.] I look at the picture. I know his face. The purple mask, the lime colored face, the expression clearly twisted into a snarl. I know that face. I once saw it gloat in smug satisfaction. Over my friend's dead body. Not something you forget, although I never forget much anyway. There's other details. With Control there are always details. Yes, this guy is a thief and smuggler and has some valuable item that could unbalance the forces of power and cause mortal havoc. It always lines up, makes sense, and throws logic into the whole thing so I feel better about the whole business of killing things. Yes, I read the details. I always do. But this time, the details seem to matter less than a white Matoran's face. Purple mask, white mask. Lime eyes, blue eyes. It's amazing how death can link something in your mind, sear it all with an air of finality so you don't forget it. Not that I forget much, anyway, so it doesn't matter. Sometimes you already know the details. I turn and stomp down to Weapons. Standard drill - sniper rifle, knife. I take a couple knives this time. It gets to become routine after a while. You don't think about it. It wasn't always the same routine, though. * * * The first time I met him was at the docks. He was merely a shadow - he wore a dark cloak and stood at the end of the pier, just watching the waves lap against the Ko-Metru coast. He didn't say anything, and I didn't bother him. I didn't own the pier, really, and if he wanted to stand there, he wasn't really affecting much. I continued with my business of casting line and reeling it in. A few times he faced me, and I saw a mutilated gray Hau, looking intimidating and regal and yet somehow content, pleased. I caught a glimpse of light blue armor like I wore, marking him as a Matoran of Ice. Even stranger, it looked like he was trying to say something, but what he had in mind didn't seem to come quite right. Then he would turn back to the ocean, it seemed, to think about it some more. On the third day of this, I wondered enough about him to consider speaking to him a little, but he was strangely absent that day. I wondered if I had failed some sort of test, but I was pretty sure that the "Talking on Ko-Metru Piers" test was too absurd for even the most obscure of Ga-Metru schools. On the fourth day, I chided myself for being so curious. He was just enjoying the pier and the beach, and he probably was trying to tell me the way that I was disturbing his meditations with my smelly, deadly work. "Hello, good fellow Matoran." I said cheerily once, dragging the hook out of a rather vicious biting catch. "Mind telling me what brings you to this place?" He didn't even look at me. * * * These days, I don't mind it so much. I mean, walking down this rather deserted street, nobody really cares to look at the midnight blue cloak I happen to wear. It's somewhat impractical for a trained assassin, but there's a reason I wear it. Actually two. I walk into an orange and red Matoran's bar. A bunch of clinking glasses greet me, but I only have eyes for the person behind the counter. "Have you seen a purple Matoran with green eyes around here recently?" I ask. His eyes say yes. He pauses. "No" he says. Another Matoran, blue and green, flinches. I sit down, and look into the Bo-Matoran's eyes for a second. "He was a friend" I say, my voice dipping low and sympathetic. He looks at me, terrified. "Not him" he says, "I was never a friend to any purple Matoran." I shake my head. "That's not what I meant." I say. He nods, and in a second we come to an understanding. I'm a bounty hunter. My job is to kill people. To destroy something, first you must understand. * * * Destroying a career is easy. You grow tired of something, you march into your head master's office and you quit. Your eyes silent, your voice dead. Destroying a fish is easy. You bait it, it bites, you reel it in, it dies. Destroying a person is easy. You just have to know the details. * * * The two of us stand next to his memorial stone. From the details on it, he was a Po-Matoran, but I can tell that doesn't matter to the gardener standing next to me. "How long ago?" I ask. "Two days" he says. I shake my head. No good. "Any idea where the other guy went?" I say. "I saw him get on a chute to Le-Metru." the Bo-Matoran says. "I followed him that far, but I figured killing him wouldn't bring him back." I nod. And then I turn around and leave. Le-Metru. No, I didn't take a chute. Teleportation is cleaner. I learned that quickly enough. I do ask the chute station attendant if he saw a purple masked Matoran. He says yes, he did. I walk. [AGENT 64 TO CONTROL]: I type out what I learned. But I don't tell them everything. They don't need to know. I walk up and down the streets. Le-Matoran pass me in various states of calm and hurry, but I see none of them, my feet guiding me by instinct. Then I see the body hanging off the window, off in a deserted alley. Purple and lime. I approach the scene nervously, looking around for traps. I hear yells, the signs of a struggle. I look at the body. It's purple and lime paint on metal and cloth, sewn together. Fake. I pull out my sniper rifle, looking up, around, and below. I hear the struggle sounds begin to lessen, and I walk into the building. Weak light wafts in from the window, playing across a pair of lime green eyes on a purple face. I sense another pair of eyes in the room. Red eyes. The being that walks toward me looks like he's been assembled from a junkyard. He purrs in a low voice. "Kill him, bounty hunter, you know you want to." * * * Weeks and months of cold and frigid silence passed on the pier. Sometimes he would look at me, sometimes I would look at him. Then one day the mystery became too great. Employing the best forms of stealth I could muster, I followed him back to his hut. Not to my surprise, it was near the Towers of Thought in the central district. Terrified that I had been spotted, I nervously made my way home, sprinting the last bit to ease my rattling nerves. My run disturbed a flock of ice bats and I shuddered, wondering if the bats would deliver news of my evil back to their master in the center of the Metru. Nearly a week passed in my fear. Finally I was able to summon the pretense of going to the fish market, and nervously make it back into the center of town. I reached the hut. It was unlocked. He knew. I tensed, as if electrified. I stretched to ease my muscles and walked inside, half expecting to see someone there. But there was no one. I looked to see a bed, desk, and chair, modest and well appointed, in impeccable order. I opened the desk to see tablets, one after the other, scribbled on both sides. On the top I saw a name: "Ehrye". Then followed a description. I turned over another: "Nuju". These are all about people. He's making observations of people? My curiosity became too much now. I pulled open every drawer and stacked all of the tablets on the top. I managed to contain my excitement enough to maintain the order - I didn't want it to look rummaged through. I flipped through them all until I found the one marked "fishers". Frantic, I copied the tablet using one of my own, careful to preserve everything. Then I put the tablets away exactly how I found them, and shoved the copy in my bag. I made sure I left no trace of my visit, then nervously shut the door behind me. I thought I saw a set of blue eyes around the corner, so I broke out into a full out run. I didn't stop until I had got back to my own hut, slammed the door and locked it tight. * * * Without a single second's hesitation, I fired straight into the purple matoran's mask. He crumpled into the ground, dead. The Fe-Matoran's face looked pleased, as if I was responding to his persuasion. I shake my head. He is such a fool. I fire my weapon at him, but I never see it hit. [AGENT 64 to CONTROL]: TARGET ELIMINATED. AN UNINDENTIFIED FE-MATORAN CAPTURED TARGET. LOOKED LIKE HE WAS THROWN TOGETHER FROM SPARE PARTS. [CONTROL TO AGENT 64]: THAT WOULD BE THE FE-MATORAN XAERAZ. HE IS NOT A THREAT TO OUR INTERESTS. RETURN AND REPORT. * * * That night, I saw his eyes. That's how I knew. That morning, I read the copy of the tablet. And that's how I understood. I walked out to the pier. But this time I didn't cast my line off of it. Instead, I got out a smaller watercraft that I used to fish deeper waters. I saw the being walk over to me and my boat. I gestured for him to get on, and he did, and I rowed us out to the Silver Sea. That day, I told him what I thought of the tablet. What I thought of what it said. I asked him some questions, but he didn't answer. I knew by now that he couldn't. But I saw that he did want to answer. That's what made the difference. I finished the day's bloody work - at least, my bloody work. The Silver Sea was kind to this fisherwoman that day. I pulled into the docks, and I saw a Matoran with purple mask and green eyes. And a sniper rifle. I heard the crack, and assumed the bolt was for me - but it wasn't. My friend's chest bloomed with blood, a weak smile on his face. Another shot. And another one. There was nothing I could do but watch the red on white, mixing with water on the bottom. The light blue eyes faded as my vision flashed between the two beings. Lime eyes. Blue eyes. Lime eyes. Blue eyes. Then somehow I found my muscles again, as the killer leaned over the pier to throw the rifle into the sea. I caught it. Seconds passed, and then I fired after him. But I was too late. He was gone. And that's how I left my job by the sea. * * * Looking over the distant water, I stood in my friend's usual place over the crashing waves. It will be dark soon and I'll have to go back to Control and sleep, until my next task comes by. I barely remember the rest of it - the haze of anger, the running, the sickening inquiry after a purple Matoran. Eventually I ended up doing jobs for money until Control picked me up. Not that it was really that much of a change - killing Matoran instead of fish. I suppose you can get used to anything after a while. Still, getting revenge is what brought me back here. I wouldn't call it as much celebration as a reflection, but it pays to have those sometimes. Otherwise, you might go insane, or forget that there’s something more to you than what the Great Beings programmed in. I sense breath and heat behind me. I turn, rifle at the ready, only to see a mutilated Hau and shockingly luminescent blue eyes. I scream - the gun clatters to the pier. "I'm sorry," he says. It's a beautiful voice, male Ko-Matoran, but somehow managing not a single grating edge. "I was wondering when you'd come back." "So now you can talk," I say. "That's about right," he says. "What happened to you?" "I might ask the same about the fool who's standing in front of me." I say. He lets me reach down and pick up my gun. I put it away. "Someone tried to kill me. I died." he says, grinning. "But I can never truly die. You know that." I smile. "Sure thing. I'm not just hallucinating this." "I've always been dead, fishers." I breathe in, slowly. "I'm not a fisherwoman anymore." I try not to scream. I grit my teeth. The purple Matoran killed this being, so he knew that he existed. And the Fa-Matoran and Control knew the purple Matoran. I'm not dreaming. I'm not hallucinating. At least, not then. I'm not so sure about now. "Don't you remember what the tablet said?" "Yes!" I snap. "But I'm not that person anymore. That was your dream for who I could be. That's not what I am. I kill things, murder things. You just don't understand!" I storm off the pier, the gusts of wind signaling approaching rain storms. "fishers," the old Ko-Matoran says. "Your name is fishers." THE END (SO FAR)
  2. “I said, listen up!” yelled Atakus, slamming his sword into the metal table with a loud clang. The large group of Rock Agori in front of him plunged into dead silence. “Please, Atakus.” The owner of the factory, named Amicala, whispered. “Don’t be so harsh.” “You want the thieves caught?” said Atakus, quickly turning to face her. Amicala nodded weakly. Atakus turned around. “Last night, the specialized head coverings we were making for Agori and Glatorian disappeared. Or, if you prefer, the “hats”, as you prefer to call them, are gone. That means that somebody walked into this factory, took all of our hats, and made off with them.” “Perhaps to sell out to one of our competitors?” said one Agori innocently. “Nobody enters or leaves this factory without me knowing about it.” said Atakus, glaring at him. “And nobody entered or left this factory that isn’t in this room. That means…”Atakus gestured with the sword for emphasis, “one of you made off with them.” The Agori looked at each other nervously. “And that means that nobody is leaving this room until I know who did it.” Amicala looked heartbroken. “Atakus, the factory” she said. “Who will run it?” Atakus glared. “You want more things to be stolen?” Amicala shook her head no. “Then help me.” Seeing that no Agori were moving to confess, Atakus opened the only door to the room, let Amicala through, and slammed the door behind him. He locked it using the seven locks he had rigged especially for this occasion. “Is that really necessary?” Amicala said. “I am going to get to the bottom of this.” Atakus said, turning around and sighting down his sword, “and I will use any means possible to achieve my goal. Do I have to repeat myself five hundred times? I used to work for Stronius, and those days were glorious. Now my job is being threatened by a bunch of scarabax in Tajun!” A TV flared to life on the factory floor, “Today, Tajun’s Textiles, the number one source for Agori clothing and accessories, posted its third week of increasing profits.” A shot of Tajun’s fancy logo appeared on the screen, completely with some Agori partying. “Meanwhile, its leading competitor, Amicala’s Articles, posted its third week of losses.” Cut to a gloomy shot of Amicala’s factory. “Desperate, the Roxtus clothing manufacturer has turned to a desperate new innovation – the hat!” A concept drawing appeared on the screen just as Atakus smashed it. “Meanwhile,” another TV added, “the Chief Executive Agori of Tajun’s Textiles, Mentum, remains unconcerned.” The shot cut over to Mentum, who was seated on a plush chair no doubt purchased from his large cache of funds. Atakus tried to smash that screen, too, but Amicala blocked his way. “Tajun is already fully equipped to ride the new hat revolution.” Mentum smiled confidently, gesturing with his left hand. “Whereas Amicala’s hats are standard, boring, practical white things, Tajun’s upcoming line will offer hats in a wide variety of colors and designs.” Pictures of colorful, decorated hats floated by on the screen. “But’s that not all that we have to offer. Introducing the Hatpile™. Why just have one trendy design when you can have many? Show off any combination of your favorite styles. Only at Tajun’s Textiles. Your latest source for-“ Atakus jumped over Amicala, driving his sword into the screen. The energy in the sword hit the screen, crackling and hissing as Atakus pulled it out. “See?” Atakus raged, walking down to the factory floor. “We’re losing money, out-innovated, out-marketed” – Atakus gestured to a machine loom – “and our equipment is terrible. Tell me, why are their six pedals if there are only four directions?” Amicala gave him a blank look. Infuriated, Atakus kicked the machine. It sparked and clattered to pieces. He stomped past Amicala and back into the room with the Agori workers. “You” he said, gesturing to the Agori who had made the bright comment earlier, “will be fed to the Spikit.” Two Bone Hunters loyal to Atakus grabbed the Agori and hauled him kicking and screaming out of the room. Amicala grabbed a schedule and shoved it in Atakus’ face. “Palduk is innocent,” Amicala insisted. “He wasn’t even assigned to work that shift.” Atakus ignored her. “Anyone else who wants to steal anything will meet the same fate. Now get back to work.” Nobody moved. Atakus cut an Agori’s armor loose with his sword, the energies badly frying his skin. “NOW!” Everybody rushed to obey and ran out of the room. “That was easy.” he said to Amicala. Amicala looked at him. “That was awful. You’re fired.” Atakus turned around and pointed his sword at the Agori’s throat. “What did you say?” “Nothing.” whispered Amicala. “Nothing.” * * * Less than a half hour later, Atakus heard screams and the distant sound of munching. For a minute, he assumed it was merely the Spikit doing its pleasant work, but the sound persisted enough to be annoying. He got up from his post, muttering something about putting a blade through a certain Agori’s neck, and marched back into the factory. What he saw was a nightmare. Small white creatures, each with two stubby legs, and two grooved hands, were clinging to the Agori workers. They were eating their clothes. More of them littered the clothing piles, the threads, and everything in between. Atakus picked up one of the creatures, which was big enough to fit in the palm of his hand. “I was just in the middle of cooking socks for dinner, too.” it said, trying to get his attention. Atakus crushed the creature to death, and ran to the deserted section where the hats had been made. Sure enough, there was no thread, no cloth, and no sign of finished hats. Mystery solved. By the Great Beings. Atakus walked calmly back to the room with the TVs. He set his blade across the two destroyed screens, and ran into the room with six locks. The factory filled with electricity. The Agori workers slumped to the floor, the white creatures lay still. Atakus emerged from his hiding place, and picked up one of the creatures. It stirred, an idiotic smile on its face. Atakus smiled. While he didn’t know anything about making clothes, he had picked up a thing or two from Stronious on how to plan a raid. He quickly gathered up the little white creatures, and placed them in a metal box. Two Bone Hunters found him as he mounted his Spikit to leave. He had a special gift for Tajun’s Textiles. And thus the hat wars were lost to history. * * * My apologies to Sumiki. This work does not mean any insult to him and his hats. I hope to have a banner for this soon, but the competition I was doing this for left me on the clock. The phrases lent themselves to story concepts I wanted to try out, so that’s my excuse. Commentary and Criticism appreciated. I expect much criticism.
  3. 11.29.13. Something old, something new. And here it is: the long-awaited (or maybe not, well, anyway) expansion pack to The Afterwords! Included in this DLC: the adventures of Pridak after DUD (Dark Unto Days), leading up to his appearance in The Afterwords Season 2. For more information, please read the Terms of Use...otherwise known as the comedy. Let us begin! The Life of Pridak Part 1: Not-So-Friends On the Front Lawn of the House… As he left the house that he’d come to know for so long, Pridak couldn’t help but wonder what he was leaving behind. Was it his friends? Pridak had no friends, especially after Mantax died - Irnakk was gone already, Takadox barely even counted, and Kazi was always busy with those other Matoran. Was it the house itself? Well, while it was the newest one built, there really wasn’t any time to enjoy it, for the sets kept fighting, burning the house down, and rebuilding it. Was it the possible hope of defeating Lewa Mata and ALMIGHTY? Pridak chuckled…as if there could be any hope of that. Pridak hated his life, he decided, turning around to face the street and leaving the property. TWO HOURS LATER Pridak was surrounded by a flurry of pink, purple, lime green and other disgusting girly colors. He didn’t remember exactly how it happened, but nonetheless he hated his life now more than he had with the war. He was stuck in a jail cell made of girly DUPLO blocks and locked together with SUPERGLUE. The cell was even bolted to the floor, so that the prisoner couldn’t break out. Who would do such a thing? Pridak wondered. Then he saw a face peeking through the trans-pink bars of the cell, and he screamed. The Friends minifigure giggled. “Hehe. You’re funny.” Pridak reached for his Squid Launcher, but it wasn’t on him. His eyes darted around the cell, and then went back to the “friend”. “Excuse me…little girl, but where is my little squid friend?” She giggled again, smiling. “My name is Olivia. And your friend? Oh…he’s getting a makeover.” Olivia pointed to a corner of the room she was in. Pridak gasped, then screamed. The squid was being dunked into a paint can full of pink paint, then it was laid on a purple piece of paper. A blonde “Friend” dumped a box of glitter onto the squid and lifted the squid once more, this time laying some SUPERGLUE on the paper and laying the squid on the SUPERGLUE. Olivia looked back at Pridak, smiling. “You’re next.” Pridak gulped. This is much worse than ALMIGHTY, right? Right? Pridak looked over at the squid, now being framed in a portrait. …I guess it’s comparable. Pridak cleared his throat. “Excuse me…can I have a cell phone?” “What for?” Olivia asked. “I need to call a friend…today’s his birthday.” Olivia handed him a “Friends” phone that was about the size of Pridak’s eye and made entirely of plastic. Pridak sighed. “A real phone would be nice.” Olivia hoisted a pink iPhone 5C over her shoulder (complete with a LEGO Friends case) and climbed to the top of the cell, dropping the phone in. At this point, Pridak realized that he could just climb to the top and escape, but he wasn’t done just yet. Pridak grabbed the iPhone and activated it, swiping up from the lock screen to reveal the Control Center, then activated the flashlight and pointed it at Olivia, blinding her and causing her to fall into the cell. Pridak did a flip, somersaulting out of the cell and onto the floor. He ran to the pink paint, trampling any of the Friends on the way, grabbing the can of paint and hoisting it into the cell. Pink paint leaked out from underneath as Olivia screamed, drowning in the pink paint. “NOOO! I JUST WANTED TO BE YOUR—“ She choked on the paint, and Pridak heard her burst into spare parts as her parts bounced off the cell’s walls. “I guess I’ll never find out what she was going to say,” Pridak muttered. He looked over at the squid, pink and glittery, then looked at the iPhone and picked it up. “Hello? Yes, I’d like to place an order for a replacement part…you want the number? How am I supposed to…appearance? Oh, it’s one of those squid things from the Barraki sets.” Pridak put the phone on speaker and set it down, pacing back and forth. "Um, we kinda ran out of those,” the service man said. “Would you like a flick-fire missile instead?” Pridak facepalmed. “Forget it.” He left the house, leaving the phone on and leaving the service man confused. “I have Meteor Spheres too! And even a complementary brain slug! Please, buy something…I have no life here…hello? Hello? Screw it, I really do have no life.” To Be Continued... How was it? ~LTW
  4. Approved by Sisen! The area was a massive building, known as the Offsite Storage Facility. A facility so large that when consulted, even Mr. Makuro had been unable to tell how far down it went. The cause of the problem was a disturbance several weeks previous, a disturbance the heroes of Hero Factory had been unable to gather any information about, aside from the fact that an area of up to five miles away from the facility in every direction had turned pitch black. As well as the fact that immediately afterward all communications ceased on the side of the facilitySo William Furno, Dunkan Bulk, and Jimi Stringer had been dispatched to deal with the issue. What they found upon entering the building was nothing. There were no workers keeping the facility running, nor any of the small time criminals that had been housed from levels B3 to B7. It was as if they had all just vanished in thin air at the same time that the facility went dark. Before all three vanished without a trace like everyone else within the facility, Jimi Stringer did manage to send a message that contained words that should have never been linked with a Hero Factory facility...“Somethin’ hunting us... Bulk gone, Furno unconscious. Dunno how long we’re gonna last here... somethin’ in the walls... there were guns... meteor blasters... a giant axe... other stuff. It feels like... nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s... there’s nothing safe here... every step could... send us into the abyss... oh no... no, it’s back... gotta go, gotta-”Hero Factory has poked and prodded within the top five levels (four of which are above ground) several times since, but as of yet no evidence of any value has been found. However, the legendary Preston Stormer has been assigned to lead the next search team, and he has been authorized to bring five other heroes with him. This is where you come in. As a hero of Hero Factory (rookie or veteran, Hero Factory no longer cares), you have been deemed as disposable enough to risk being sent on this mission. Should you wish to join, you may be one of the first since Furno’s lost team to experience the horrors of the Offsite Storage Facility. Should you decide that accompanying Stormer is not something you wish to attempt at this time, there are still countless villains that must be captured after the Breakout, and some of these villains are on the verge of enacting possibly universe-threatening plots. This is where you begin. The Story in Short:Before the breakout, the Offsite Storage Facility (OSF for short) was used by Hero Factory as a massive subterranean complex to store experimental weapons, experimental failed hero designs, and just experiments in general. After the massive breakout that was set off by the villain Voltix, Hero Factory had the massive Offsite Storage Facility levels B3 to B7 (five of the higher subterranean levels) converted into heavily locked down jail cells as a safety measure to hold some of the first villains to be recaptured after the incident, and to make sure these villains remained in captivity during any similar strikes in the future. The most notable of the villains held here was Black Phantom, who was re-captured by Rocka shortly after the breakout first occurred. However, several weeks previously a blackout occurred spontaneously, covering a large area around the facility. All communications with the facility fell silent, and three heroes were dispatched to investigate – none have returned. Now Hero Factory has assigned Preston Stormer to the case – and five heroes are to accompany him investigate the disappearances of Dunkan Bulk, William Furno and Jimi Stringer, and if possible determine the cause of the blackout. Meanwhile, for the rest of Hero Factory sightings of villains all over the galaxy are increasing with great speed, and some of the heroes begin to suspect that the powers in control of Hero Factory have dark secrets that have been covered up by a web of lies. It will be up to you whether you try to discover if these suspicions are true. The Rules Follow the BZPower Rules & Guidelines. Try to keep OOC (Out of character) posts to a minimum as much as possible. If you have something to say OOC, try to attach an IC (in character) section to it as well. To add on to this, please label whether you are speaking IC or OOC. Please keep the content appropriate in standing with BZPower’s rules. No godmodding, metagaming, bunnying, or tennising.Godmodding: Making your character perform impossible feats, such as cuffing a villain on the first throw.Metagaming: Using OOC knowledge in the game. (i.e. if you read a pair of villains having a private conversation detailing every facet of their next scheme for galaxy domination while your Hero is currently at the Factory, you may not have him go report the villains. In layman's terms, keep IC and OOC knowledge seperate.)Bunnying: Taking control of another player's character and dictating their actions without permission.Tennising: Repeated back-and-forth posts between just two players. It makes it harder for others to jump in. Do not kill other player's characters or important NPCs without permission. If you're not sure whether or not an NPC counts as important, feel free to shoot me a PM. And of course, have fun. Profile Sheet Fill this in to tell us what your character is like and all that jazz. You can use this sheet for both heroes and villains, so don’t pay too much attention to the details described below. You can have up to three characters. Name: (What is your Hero's name?)Gender: (Male or female?)Appearance: (What does your Hero/villain look like? A 1 paragraph or greater description. A picture is worth a thousand words, so a snapshot of a Hero/villain MoC works just as well.)Personality: (A brief description of what your hero/villain is like.)Background: (Your hero/villain's backstory. Can be as simple as 'built yesterday for the Breakout mission' to a novel length epic summarizing your past accomplishments. 1-2 paragraphs recommended, though.)Equipment: (What has your Hero/Villain been equipped with, besides the standard issue Hero Cuffs? Describe armor and weaponry here.)Skillset: (What your Hero/Villain excels at, as well as areas they're lacking in. No perfect characters, please - include flaws!)Other: (Anything else you want to let me know.) Plots and Schemes: (Just for the Villains – what are your plans? After all, a good villain is never sitting around doing nothing.) Mission Log: 1. Offsite Storage Facility: (Run by: iBrow + fishers) Status: Determining After the blackout of the Offsite Storage Facility, heroes Furno, Bulk and Stringer have gone missing, along with every single prisoner or staff of the facility. A team of six heroes to be led by Stormer is about to go through the selection process. 2. The Breakout: (Run by: iBrow + fishers) Status: Ongoing This is a massive project that has taken top priority, even over the Offsite Storage Facility incident. The mission is simple: capture all escaped convicts (and even new ones never captured before, if you happen to run into them) and bring them back to Hero Factory for imprisonment. 3. The Doom Box: (Run by: iBrow) Status: ??? Rumors are abound that the escaped convict and former Hero known as “Core Hunter” has hidden three fragments of an artifact known as the “Doom Box” in separate corners of the galaxy. Should Core Hunter assemble the three pieces, the consequences will be dire. 4. Tranquis VII: (Run by: fishers) Status: ??? The planet of Tranquis VII has gone completely silent, and Hero Factory is currently assembling a team to investigate the cause. AND ONE LAST NOTE: ALL CANON CHARACTERS, UNLESS STATED, WILL BE CONTROLLED BY THE STAFF OF THE RPG (myself and fishers64). SECONDARY NOTE: All villains mentioned in canon (more simply, those that have been made as sets) are still free, with the exceptions of Black Phantom, Toxic Reapa, Splitface, Voltix, Speeda Demon and Jawblade. The events of the Breakout episode did occur, but all villains are missing after the OSF incident.

I wanna live on dry land again.”“Don’t let Carapar hear you say that. He’ll tear you to pieces.” Pridak warned.Mantax snorted, and a clump of soggy bread flew up into his nose. Pridak roared with laughter as the black Barraki desperately attempted to remove the bread, huffing and puffing his way into the next continent. After a few moments however Pridak grew bored of the struggle and wrenched the bread out of Mantax’s face, allowing Mantax to begin breathing again.“So Mantax, I’ve been wondering....” Pridak began, sinking onto his friend’s couch.“What is it? Did we leave a secret plan behind?” Mantax guessed, sitting in the chair opposite.“No....” Pridak sighed, glancing away. “Have you ever wondered what life would be like if the Tahu vs. Tahu war hadn’t occurred?”“Well, we sure as heck wouldn’t be living in this dump.” Mantax asserted.“You’re right. Who was the numb nut who had the idea to move all of 2007 here in the first place?” Pridak questioned.“...You.” Mantax answered.Pridak paused, mouth slightly open.“Right... oops.” He muttered, chuckling. “Seriously though, have you?”“Not really.” Mantax shook his head thoughtfully. “But if the Tahu vs. Tahu conflict hadn’t occurred, something would have. You remember what happened in 2009, right?”“Of course. We picked the wrong side in that battle.”“Obviously. We landed back in jail, though our selection wasn’t a surprise.” Mantax replied. “But nothing really occurred to cause that conflict. And you saw just how easily half of the Bionicles left Tahu Mata for Tahu Stars. Something like that doesn’t happen instantaneously. Sets weren’t happy with how things were.”Mantax sucked in a couple of breaths, coughing a bit when he swallowed some of the clearly poisonous water.“You’re right.” Pridak agreed. “So civil war was inevitable. So was invasion, I suppose. And now we’re dealing with the aftermath of both.”“Absolutely no way around it either.” Mantax told him. “I mean, it’s not like we can go back in time and change everything.”A spark lit in Pridak’s eyes- a spark that Mantax instantly recognized as an idea.Usually these ideas never ended well. So Mantax couldn’t blame himself when nervousness immediately set in.“What’s the plan?” Mantax sighed, rolling his eyes.“Time!” Pridak exclaimed. “Mantax, we could go back in time! We could change everything! Make everything better!”“Er... how?” Mantax scratched his head. “We have no idea what might happen.”“We go back in time and kill Tahu Mata.” Pridak responded. “You, me, and two others.”“Irnakk would be cool. He’s pretty strong.” Mantax suggested. “Maybe Kazi. He worked well with us on the Nuju Metru mission.”“Then it’s settled.” Pridak stood and began pacing the cave. “We’ll get Irnakk and Kazi and time travel to 2001, kill Tahu Mata, return to 2011, and everything should be better.”“How are we going to get out, though?” Mantax asked. “Hydraxon and Maxilos are constantly patrolling the exit, and if they see trouble they’ll send Karzahni too.”“We’re going to need a distraction....” Pridak pondered.“No. He’d never do it.” Mantax shook his head.“He knows he has to pay for past crimes. This is how he’ll pay.” Pridak decided. “Don’t worry Mantax. Everything is going to go out of control.”“That’s precisely why I’m worrying pal.”Later on under the Pond:“Hey! Get back here!” Hydraxon bellowed. “I SAID GET BACK HERE! You know locking people into jail cells is illegal! Get back here Takadox, or I’ll rip you in-”TRIP.“Ouch!” Hydraxon muttered, twisting his ankle as he fell. “Stupid banana peel.”Maxilos sped by him, firing Cordak rounds at the fleeing Takadox.“The problem Takadox....” the robot began, “Is that you glow in the dark. Thus, there can be no escape for you.”“Yeah, that does suck!” Takadox called back. “And I’m actually beginning to regret agreeing to this!”Hydraxon stood and swam after them, quickly passing Maxilos and firing his own Cordak rounds at the fleeing Barraki, until....TRIP.“WHAT IN MATA-NUI’S NAME WAS IT THIS TIME?!” Hydraxon screamed. “Oh. Stupid giant banana peel!”Maxilos rolled his eyes and yanked Hydraxon back to his feet, gesturing towards Takadox.“We have him trapped.” The robotic set murmured. “Close in.”Hydraxon glanced over and saw that what Maxilos said was true.“Any last words before we lock you up for good?” he called, swaggering forward.TRIP.“SON OF A-”“Yeah,” Takadox sniggered, backing into the wall. “The fact that you have repeatedly tripped and fallen while swimming underwater is highly amusing. It makes this tiresome payment worth it.”“Wait a minute....” Maxilos paused. “Payment for what?”“Oh, you didn’t know?” Takadox asked innocently, pointing behind them. “Pridak and Mantax are leaving.”Maxilos whipped around and saw not only Pridak and Mantax leaving, but what appeared to be Kalmah and Ehlek as well.“I thought the six of you had broken up!” he exclaimed.“We did!” Takadox answered from behind him. “But Pridak and Mantax got us back together.”“What’s Carapar doing?” Hydraxon hissed, standing once again. “What did you have him do?”“Nothing.” Takadox shrugged. “He’s too dumb. It’s just me and the ones escaping. Good luck capturing them.”“Oh we’ll capture them alright.” Hydraxon responded. “You think we’re the only ones enforcing order? We made a deal with the Makuta, fool; they’ll haul the other Barraki back here in no time.”Takadox snorted in disbelief. Hydraxon stepped towards him threateningly, only to trip once again. Takadox and Maxilos both began to howl with laughter. To Be Continued....Next time on Tahu vs. Tahu: Aftermath->A new storyline begins!->The past revealed!->A jailbreak....So there you have it! 6. Mafia III: the Cult It was dark and stormy night in- ugh, cliché. Whatever- let us continue. The Detective was sitting at his desk in the brand new jail that had been built- he hoped to abolish the tradition of lynching every single person thought to be guilty of crime, and instead cram these people into one of three cells. This night he was going over several notes and pieces of evidence linking a series of arson crimes to each other, the latest being his own house.Thunder boomed outside the window, and a flash of lightning illuminated the entire room like day for a split second. The Detective ignored this as he muttered to himself, shuffling papers around and frantically scribbling down more notes. This continued undisturbed for several minutes, until the sound of thunder was accompanied by the door to the jail being slammed open. The Detective leapt from his chair, shotgun in one hand and a wrench in the other.“Who goes there?!” he shouted.“’tis I, my friend.” The Medic responded in kind, stumbling in, dragging something behind him out of the rain. “I am in need of my medical license being returned to me.”The Detective was stopped from mentioning how the Medic had turned his last patient insane when the Medic pulled a body from behind him with a grunt. Soaked by the ran (quite like the Medic) and also muddy, the Detective was barely able to recognize the face as their mayor, iBrow.“What’ve you done to him?!” the Detective cried, loading his shotgun and firing at the Medic. The Medic, who had been expecting this, was already across the room, removing the Detective’s weapons from him.“It vas not I, Detective.” The Medic hissed. “Zere vas zis symbol on ze vall beside him. Also on ze floor. Actually, it vas all over ‘is ‘ouse. Kind of disturbing if you vere to ask me.”“What symbol?” the Detective asked hoarsely. The Medic pulled out a sheet of wallpaper that he had obviously taken from iBrow’s home. The Detective backed away, groaning.“I know that symbol.” He said. “The Cult of Hapori Dume was once here, long ago. That was their symbol.”“Zey ‘ave come back.” The Medic responded. “Zey ‘ave struck.”“But to kill him?”The Medic shrugged. “iBrow vould alvays push too far into enemy territory. ‘E did ze same zing ‘ere.”The Detective rubbed his brow, staring at the mayor’s mud caked body.“Alright. Alert the village.” He ordered. “We have a Pyro and the Cult on the loose.”“Absolutely.” The Medic agreed, producing a syringe. “Now, if you vould zust ‘old still....”“What are you doing? Stop! I command you to... stop....”The Detective collapsed to the floor, unconscious. The Medic shook his head.“My apologies.” He said, dipping his head. “But I cannot risk it. Vith ze Cult out zere, ‘oo knows ‘oo could be a part of it? Zat solution vill make you forget everyzing zat ‘as been said ‘ere tonight. So long Detective.”The Cult of Hapori Dume has resurfaced, and a Pyro remains out there, burning down homes and killing villagers night after night. Can you stop them? The Rules1. Have fun.2. Lying about your role (or revealing it) in any fashion is acceptable.3. 2 Days will be given after each scene to vote on who should be hung. Roles will have 2 days to pm for each scene.4.Games & Trivia Rules Apply. The RolesThe Pro-Town – These players show up as “Pro-Town” in investigations.Villager x 15 – The majority of the players must try to discover who leads the Cult, who the original Cultists are, and who the Pyro is. They must then lynch these players in order to win. Any of the villagers can be turned into new Cultists.Suicidal Villager x 1 – Like an ordinary Villager; however, if this player is targeted by the Cult, both the player and the Cultist targeting him die instead of the player joining the Cult. This player is not told that they are suicidal.Detective x 1 – Each round the Detective is allowed to investigate one player to discover if they are Pro-Town or Anti-Town. Once players go missing, the Detective can try to find them in one of six locations. If he succeeds, that player is saved. If the Detective is targeted by the Cult, he becomes an ordinary Cultist.Medic x 1 – Each round the Medic chooses one player to protect. The protected player is then protected from the influence of the Cult for the duration of the round. The Medic cannot be converted into a Cultist; however, the Medic cannot protect against the Pyro. The Anti-Town – These players show up as “Anti-Town” in investigations. The Cult of Hapori Dume – The Cult wins if they manage to expand until more than half of the players still alive are members of the Cult. Cult Leader x 1 – This player leads the Cult, and manages the votes on which player to try and convert into a Cultist each round, and which of the Cultists will do so. If killed within the first two rounds, he may select a replacement from the original Cultists. If hung, he may select one player to be converted into a Cultist (unless he tries to convert the Medic).Cultists x 2 – The original two Cultists, and the only two Cult members besides the Cult Leader whose identities are not known to the Pro-Town roles; if the Cult Leader dies within the first two rounds, one of these two players will be chosen to replace him. The number of Cultists throughout the game can increase until the Cult Leader is killed.Other Anti-Town Roles Pyro x 1 – Every two rounds, the Pyro is allowed to target two players, one of whom will be killed. If one of the two targeted players is also targeted by another role (such as the Medic or a Cultist), both the targeted and the other player targeting them are killed. The Pyro wins if they are the last player remaining when the game ends. 7. Can you believe it? Christmas is this Sunday. Isn't it hard to believe time has just flown by like that? That the year is almost over, and that by this time next year the whole world will come crashing to an end. But before we dawn our gas masks and our zombie repelents in preparations for 2012, we gotta celebrate the holidays! So, in honor of this great tradition of getting presents, me, The Dark Chronicler, Ironman197, and the infamous iBrow (he should make that his name ) present to you a comedy for the holiday season, based on perhaps one of the most depressing, yet hilarious, Christmas song ever recorded. So in honor of the season, no matter what holiday you're celebrating this season, I welcome you to ...Christmas at Ground ZeroPart 1 of 12: Icarax got Ran over by a Yakby The BIONICLE HeroTakanuva loved Christmas. It was absolutely his favorite holiday. He loved the snow, he loved the cheer, he loved the tree, and he even tolerated his family. And if you knew his family, you'd know how amazing that was. Everything and anything about Christmas was just his favorite thing in the whole world, and it was the very reason he suffered through countless hours of fighting to get everyone presents, so that way he could tell them he got them something nice and they'd HAVE to get him something just as big. THAT was the best part of the season to him...But not this year.Or the last few years for that matter. Things just haven't gone his way… especially around the holidays lately. I mean, Thanksgiving '09 he lost his job, Christmas the same year Tahu thought it'd be a good idea for him to fix the turkey, of which they spent the night watching Taka's parent's house burn to the ground, and Halloween 2010... He just tried to keep those memories repressed, but he did remember it had something to do with a cake and some sort of lie... It seemed these days everything Taka even thought of turned into a big pile of useless wreckage. And Taka didn't like it. Not at all… He was beginning to wonder if even Artakha had it better than he did. At least Artakha excepted his horrible life… Well besides the numerous suicide attempts. Why had everything gone wrong for Taka lately…? Why was his life falling apart around him, and just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, the floor would fall out from under him and he'd find a whole basement full of Visorak…Standing there in front of his tree, Taka found he was at one of his lowest points… This year was perhaps the worst yet. Bella was off in Britain with her 'friend', and Taka was here… Stuck in a warehouse/apartment full of people crazier than he was. Thanks to Tahu, even his family hated him now. Well, they weren't fond of him before, but thanks to last New Years, a box of fireworks, and a guy named Guy, they hadn't returned his calls since. So here Taka was, depressed at Christmas. How could it get any worse…ARTAKHA: Hello my friend.Jumping, startled, Taka turned to see the floor had fallen through once more… Well, not literally… you get it.TAKA: Artakha, please… I'm not in the mood…Artakha just sadly nodded.ARTAKHA: It seems no one is ever in the mood for me anymore…Artakha just jumped out the window as he always does during his depression fits. This time not landing on a fire escape…Standing outside carrying a box full of his favorite Christmas decorations, Icarax was getting ready for decorating. He too loved Christmas, but despite his horrible life, he never let it get the best of him. Icarax was just as cheerful as he always was this time of year, getting ready to -From above, a suicidal Artakha landed hard on the poor unsuspecting Makuta…But it wasn't Icarax.Icarax turned startled to see Artakha had landed on some other poor Makuta. Shocked, Icarax stood frozen... Knowing this was too good to be true. He looked arround for other falling objects or escaped creatures or meteors or anything really to make sure it was safe, and to his, and everyone's for that matter, surprise... He was safe...ICARAX: It's a Christmas mirracle...Skipping like a school girl with a sugar rush doing a bad impression of a ballet dancer, Icarax found himself over joyed at how much his luck had changed. That is, until he ran out into the road and got ran over by a Yak.Flying in his slay, pulled by the flying Yak's ('cause they're more efficient than Reindeer... He doesn't have to fill them up as much, Reindeer fuel is expensive these days... Santa has to save money to, ya know, flying arround the world in one night ain't cheap!), a skinny Santa clause looked back as he flew away, eating his non-fat sugar-free cookies.SANTA: Did we hit something?Spitting out the disgusting cookie, Santa tossed it of the side of the slay.SANTA: Stupid diet... Stupid wife thinks she's the boss of me, 'eh?As Santa flew away, he reached into his secret stash of real cookies. 'Cause he's fly like that. But back in the B-Teams living room (and to the real story), Taka just stood staring at the tree still, a single ornament that had a picture of Bella in it drawing most of his attention. He thought she looked beautiful in that picture… Despite the fact her skin was whiter than Kopaka's armor on bath day.Walking in and seeing his friend all depressed, the drunk Tahu knew how to make him feel much, much better. With a very, very good story.TAHU: Taka-sh… Sit-sh down.Takanuva turned… he knew this wouldn't be good.TAKA: Tahu, please, I just want to be alone for a little while.TAHU: Do not-sh worry-sh my friend-sh… I jusht have-sh a story-sh you should hearsh.TAKA: Really? Something really tells me I shouldn't.TAHU: Don't worry, thish ish a very happy shtory… About love-sh, and joy-sh, and family-sh, and Chrishtmash.TAKA: Fine…And with that, Tahu began. Well, he blacked out for a couple seconds first, but as soon as he woke up he began his 'Chrishtmash' tale...Mata Nui help us...P.S. TO THE NUISLAY!!
  8. Happy Birthday 2 MeHappy Birthday Hero!Chapter 1 – Why Are We Here?iBrow Comedy ProductionsSome Jail Cell Somewhere in Some PlaceiBrow bolted up into a sitting position, slamming back down onto the pillow when his face collided with a valve that should not have been there.Where am I? He thought. Last thing I remember is that we were about to chow down on some cake... oh, the lies!Shaking his head sadly, he sat up (avoiding the valve, which after his collision with it had begun to emit steam) and stood to his feet. A quick glance around the room told him where he was: barebones gray walls, bars over the window, and a Lambda symbol on the door sufficed. He was in jail.Naturally, this wasn’t going to stop him.Naturally, this isn’t going to stop ME. iBrow thought, grabbing a white gun from the bedside table. Pointing it at the wall, he clicked the right trigger and an orange portal appeared, revealing a hallway that appeared to be built out of LEGO bricks.“Curious.” He said to himself. “Curious indeed....”He stepped out into the hall, only to leap back inside his room when a flurry of bullets flew across his nose. Poking an eye out, he saw a Turret standing on top of a white platform halfway up the hall.“I’m different.” It called.“Yeah... right.” He muttered. “Different my mask, you oaf.”He fired a blue portal underneath the Turret, causing it to pop out in front of him and beginning firing along the wall before exploding.“Strange.”With that, he activated his Kanohi Volitak and began to make his way to the exit, remembering where he’d been before he woke up in a jail cell.Flashback [insert Flash of White Here]iBrow chuckled as Hero’s Fedora Hat fell into the ice cream, which was mostly melted. Hero muttered furiously for a few seconds before slowly pulling it- soaking wet and dripping ice cream- from the bowl.“Darn it. My Uncharted themed birthday party is ruined!” Hero pouted.“Uncharted?” iBrow asked, glancing over to Ingeitum, who was wearing a paper boat hat and had a sniper rifle in his hands. “I thought this was....”“Of course it’s Uncharted, numb nuts!” Hero snorted. “What else would it be?!”“Team Fortress 2.” iBrow muttered under his breath.End Flashback [insert Flash of White Here]iBrow frowned. That part of the party had sucked. Some Other Jail CellHero yawned as he crawled out of his bed, somehow avoiding the valve in his way and failing to notice the lambda symbol on his door as he took in the room.“What a lovely place.” He yawned. “A little drab though, to be admitted. You’d think Ingeitum and iBrow could’ve found a better place to hang while we sleep off our (milk) hangovers.”Glancing around, he frowned.“Where are iBrow and Ingeitum?” he questioned. “This isn’t going to be like the Hangover, is it? Where I’m the one of the roof for like four hours?”Then he noticed the Gravity Gun on his bedside table.“Sweet!” he grinned. “A Gravity Gun! I don’t know how I know that, but I know that I know that. And the fact that I know that and that I know that I know that makes me awesome. Which of course I have known for some time.”He then proceeded to yank open his door with the Gravity Gun in hand and marched into the hallway, only to have some slimy thing with weird legs leap onto his face.“Argh! Horror movie! Horror game! Horror comedy!” he screamed, flailing around. “Must-get-crowbar-yes!”Grabbing the crowbar from next to his bed with his free hand, Hero slammed the creature off with it. When he was able to see again, he made a face and groaned.“Disgusting!” he groaned. “I hate Headcrabs!”He then proceeded to use the Gravity Gun to fling it out the window, where it would land on the poor Matoran Jaller’s head. But that’s not important. What is important is that Hero was now having a flashback of his own to his birthday party.Flashback [insert Flash of Brown Here]Hero chuckled as he fixed his Fedora, while grabbing a can of root beer. As he did so, he accidentally knocked over iBrow’s winter hat (which his friend liked to call “Napper’s Respite” for whatever reason) into the ice cream. “Darn it Hero!” iBrow muttered, walking over with a gas mask on and a flamethrower in his hands. “Now I’m gonna have to wear the stupid Seal Mask.”Hero shrugged as iBrow pulled out a paper Seal Mask and slapped it on top of the gas mask, while incinerating the entire picnic table.“All better.” iBrow said happily (or at least, Hero thought he sounded happy). “I haven’t gotten to use my Backburner in weeks!”“Hey iBrow, can you set my arrow on fire?” Ingeitum questioned, a Bow and Arrow in his hands. “I’m trying to snipe Nathan over there.”“Nathan?” Hero questioned. “As in Nathan Drake?”“Uh....” Ingeitum trailed off. “Um... no?”iBrow glanced at him, and Ingeitum grinned sheepishly.“Okay, whatever.” Hero waved his hands. “If it’s not Nathan Drake, then it’s fine. By the way guys- thanks for the Uncharted themed party.”Turning around, Hero of course didn’t notice iBrow and Ingeitum questioning each other on how Hero hadn’t noticed the Team Fortress 2 theme. He also didn’t hear the two of them questioning why he hadn’t realized it WAS Nathan Drake that Ingeitum was sniping.End Flashback [insert Flash of Brown Here]Yes, that was a wonderful party. Especially drinking all of that (milk). Yes, a wonderful party indeed. Now to get out.A Third Jail Cell:Ingeitum groaned as he stood up, smashing the valve in front of him into several pieces that spelled the word “Classic”, for whatever reason. He grabbed his Sniper Rifle and Bow and Arrow set from the bedside table and then attempted to reach the door; however, due to a serious case of lag, he began to ##### across the room, halting for several seconds before teleporting to his next location. It was extremely annoying, to say the least.Once he made his way out of the lambda-shaped door (which took what felt like three hours), Ingeitum found himself in a hallway, and was then promptly backstabbed by an invisible Spy who taunted his corpse and then ran away, laughing.Once he’d made his way out of the jail cell again, Ingeitum (still suffering from lag, unfortunately) managed to get to the exit, sniping that Spy along the way. Once at the exit, he saw Jaller with a Headcrab sucking on his mask, and Hewkii, Kongu, and Matoro all attempting to pull it off. Nearby, Tahu was throwing back (milk) after (milk) onto a chained up and writhing Icarax, who looked as if he’d been hit by a train.Shrugging laggily, Ingeitum made his way over to a picnic table and sat down to wait for iBrow and Hero. Suddenly, he began to have his own flashback....Flashback [insert Flash of Gray Here]But then he decided that he had too much lag at the moment to enjoy watching a memory, and so opted out.End Flashback [insert Flash of Gray Here]So he sat down and waited, bored. To Be Continued...How was it?Chapter 2 coming on Tuesday!Happy Birthday to The BIONICLE Hero!-ibrow
  9. What if things happened differently? Vultraz’s Journey ReturnsJail Break, Part 1Chapter 1 – The Punch LineiBrow Comedy Productions The Diner “Alright, what’s on the menu today?” Turaga Vakama asked, tottering into the diner, leaving the glass doors to slam shut with a crash and a rather large crack.“Same as always, duh.” Jaller told the Turaga, pointing up at the menu above his head. The Turaga squinted at the menu.“I think I’ll just have a coffee today.” Turaga Vakama decided.“Awesome.” Jaller said. The Ta-Matoran grabbed the coffee making machine, thrusting a mug underneath it, as coffee poured down.“That’s seven dollars.” Jaller told Turaga Vakama.“SEVEN DOLARS?! THAT’S ROBBERY!”“No, it’s not. You’re paying for two litres.”“Ah... right.” Turaga Vakama shoved his hand into his pocket, feeling around for change. “All I’ve got is $5.50.” Jaller clicked his fingers; an instant later, Vamprah and Gorast lunged out of the shadows, latching on to the protesting Turaga Vakama.“What are you doing?!” he cried. “Where are you taking me?!” Toa Hahli stepped up to the counter, grabbing the mug of scalding coffee out of Jaller’s hand.“Thanks!” she gasped, chugging it down. “ARGH, MY THROAT!”“What do you expect?” Jaller snorted. “It’s burning hot.”“I DEMAND A REFUND!” Toa Hahli screamed into his face. Jaller was sent sprawling by the sound waves, landing on his face on top of the over behind him.“WHY IS THIS EVEN HERE?!” he screamed, running into the kitchens and dunking his head into a vat.His head was promptly lit on fire; the vat was full of grease.“OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!” Vultraz lazily held the bathroom door open for the Ta-Matoran, allowing Jaller to rush in to the sinks and begin dousing himself.“What do you need?” he asked Toa Hahli, yawning.“A refund.”“I saw you. You didn’t pay. You think I’m stupid?” he questioned.“A little, yes.” Toa Hahli told him. Vultraz drew his fist back and punched Hahli in the face; an instant later, he was face down on the ground, his hands being cuffed behind him.“What did he do to you, madam?” Toa Hewkii asked.“Don’t speak to me like I’m some innocent old lady!” Toa Hahli snapped, slapping Toa Hewkii across the face. “I’m an officer just like you!”“Fine!” Toa Hewkii muttered, rubbing his bruised cheek. “What did he do to you?!”“He punched me in the face.”“...I honestly doubt that.” Toa Hewkii replied uncomfortably, taking a step back. “Do you, now?” Toa Hahli whispered dangerously, stepping closer to him.“IF YOU DON’T MIND, I’d like to get off the floor!” Vultraz interrupted. “It’s kinda dirty down here, you know. Vezon hasn’t cleaned yet.”Both Toa froze.“You have... Vezon... on cleaning?” Toa Hewkii whispered.“Well, yeah,” Vultraz started. “He fails at doing everything else-” Toa Hewkii interrupted him by grabbing Vultraz by the throat and slamming him into the wall.“That’s it, no warning.” The Toa of stone told him. “You’re under arrest for being completely insane.”“Aw, come on!” Vultraz protested, attempting to wriggle out of Toa Hewkii’s grip. “You’re not being fair!”“I am so.” Toa Hewkii snorted. “You have Vezon on cleaning!”“Alright, so maybe he isn’t the best, but-” Vultraz began, ending as Toa Hewkii threw him into a table.“Ouch!” “All Vezon does is clean with his drool!” Toa Hewkii groaned. “It’s disgusting!”“He’s actually getting better with that.” Vultraz responded. “He actually uses soap now- and if he doesn’t it means he just hasn’t cleaned, period.” “I don’t care.” Toa Hahli said, grabbing Vultraz by the mask. “Now you’re coming with us, because you are going to jail, no questions asked." Later on, in Jail: “Why, hello there!” a voice said enthusiastically, as Vultraz was tossed into his cell. “Imagine you being the one to join me in here!”Vultraz groaned, turning around.“Hello, Kopeke.” He replied.“Hello.” Kopeke grinned. “How’s life?”“Very bad.” Vultraz answered. “And it just got worse, seeing as we’re not even five feet apart, but I’m not allowed to kill you.” “Yeah, I thought you might say that.” Kopeke said casually. “That’s why I’m in here. I went and destroyed the Great Furnace so that I’d be in here, where you couldn’t touch me.”Vultraz turned to the Ko-Matoran, grinning maliciously.“Uh... why are you grinning like that?” Kopeke asked him, edging away.“Because I might not be able to kill you in here...” Vultraz trailed off. “But I can still brutally beat you to a pulp.” Kopeke screamed; the guard outside simply rolled his eyes before returning to his newspaper.“Shut up.” He called into the cell.Vultraz ignored him, as he was busy punching the daylights out of Kopeke. Meanwhile, Back at the Diner: “They simply can’t lock him up for that!” Bitil protested.“You, good sir, are right.” Vezon nodded. “Indeed, if anything, I believe Icarax should go to jail.”“Why me?!” Icarax exclaimed.“Well, you clearly deserve it.” Vezon told him. “After all, you’re the one who recommended me for the job.”“No I’m not!” Icarax exclaimed flabbergasted. “What is he talking about?” Bitil shrugged.“Regardless, we should break him out.”“I don’t really want to, actually.” Jaller replied. “He never treats me with respect.”“That’s because nobody likes you.” Bitil pointed out.“But-”“At least he pays you! Now shut up!” Bitil sighed. “That’s why we’re busting him out. If we don’t, we don’t get paid. And then we starve, and die.”“That sounds boring.” Vezon shook his head. “Let’s go save him.”“Indeed, let’s.” To Be Continued....
