Attack of the Beholder! Built for the LEGO Ideas D&D Contest, at first I wasn't sure what I could build for this contest. The very first idea was to build a Mind Flayer but I changed idea pretty quick. It's almost completely built with only system parts, the few exceptions are the dino tails used for the tentacles. The central eye is built using just a pair of dishes, the others 10 eyes are simply Mixel balljoints. 26/10/22

When I first posted the Tahu build, people immediately started asking after the other Toa... so here's the first one! Lewa's shapes were super challenging to break down into system pieces, so I had to sacrifice stability in a couple of areas, but I'm really happy with how the mask turned out. If you haven't voted for the Tahu project yet, here's the link! and here are a few WIP sketches it took to get to this result... what Toa would you guys like to see next?

Hi all! Please check out and support my BIONICLE project on LEGO Ideas! BIONICLE Legacy aims to please longtime fans as well as potentially attract new ones. I wanted to remain faithful to original story motifs while also leaving an element of open-endedness so as to encourage a wider appeal. BIONICLE Legacy: Storytelling with the LEGO Brick My questions for you all are as follows: #1. In a future update, I feel like I need to further justify why Takua is included as a figure. I think adding another play feature for Takua would be beneficial. But the total piece count for BIONICLE Legacy is already at ~2850, so I’m trying to think of something that could be economical parts-wise, but also add play value to the set. Any thoughts? #2. Do you have any advice about other fan groups you may be aware of that may be interested in supporting this idea? Where else can this idea be promoted? I hope you can help this project get on shelves as an official set! Thank you!

Ok everyone here is my attempt at bringing a new group of Topics together, Topics meant to "Spark Creativity" and show off something you came up with and are proud of as well as asking advice on how to improve if you feel it's not the best (Just a not you may not feel it is great but you are your own worst critic, so others may think it is brilliant) in the true spirit of Bionicle and Lego as a whole. So here goes I hope this will be a great series. Our first topic in the series Kanohi Masks, whether the power of amazing almost supernatural feats or just very awesome design Kanohi Masks are the single most common element in the Matoran Universe with Matoran, Toa, Turaga, and many other races wearing them keeps them alive and can grant power if one's mind is less clouded and focused. But while many wear the same Masks no two Matoran's face are identical and have a unique appearance based on who wears them, yet at the same time being clearly a certain mask. But what kinds of Kanohi have we never seen? What contours, shapes and powers have not seen. What makes a design of Kanohi just right that almost all masks with that power will be shaped with the same base, the most Iconic mask in the series the Kanohi Hau with its Helmet like curve on top, three vent lines along the cheeks and the determined look in the eyes that almost screams "Come at me, I can take it" this mask really gives off a air of protection. But what of the other masks, do they say their nature from looks alone, and perhaps you've got a mask design with a power yould like to discuss. That is exactly what this thread is for. I would post my first mask creation if I were at my computer but I type this on my mobile so the Great Sakon will have to wait till tomorrow. Feel free to continue the thread and don't forget "Keep that Spark of creativity going till you have a flame of imagination!"

As the title says, this is a general discussion topic for mafia. You can discuss older games long ended, cool ideas or collaborations you might have, or even story ideas tied to the games. The possibilities are endless! Please note that this is not meant to replace discussion of currently running ganes; while those topics remain open, try to keep discussion directly related to those games in their respective topics. This has been approved by Windrider. If you are looking for additional information on certain games, roles, players, strategies, or history, check out the BZP Mafia Wiki. It is rather outdated, but still has information up until Bionicle Mafia XV: Nightmare. About Hosting: Experience has (repeatedly) shown that the forum can usually support only two Mafia games at a time. As such, the standard practice is to post in this topic stating your desire to host (whether it be an entry in the main series or a side game). If multiple members want to host, the other players will typically vote on which host or game they want to play first. Once you have the community's go ahead, you can then post your game. For those of you that would skip this not-as-painful-as-it-sounds-process, experience has also (repeatedly) shown that the community will come down rather hard on games posted without going through the community in this topic first. So I was thinking about the elements of Bionicle, and after rechecking why acid isn't an element (stupid plasma-liking lawyers), I was thinking about the nature of some of the other elements and the perceived redundancy of Magnetism in a setting that also has Iron as an elemental power. But as I thought more about it, here is some of there unique tricks you can do with Magnetism that I came up with: Manipulate MetalLow level flight via manipulation of planetary magnetic fields and one's own magnetic charge.Manipulate Charged particles, such as Lightning and Plasma.Creating electrical charges in moving metal objects.EMPs and disrupting the minds of purely mechanical beings.Magnetoreception and interfering with other beings MagnetoreceptionDamage to physical objects by breaking apart chemical bonds (which are electromagnetic in nature). Does anyone have anything they like to add to this list for magnetism or for any other elements in the series?

Hello BZPower users, This is my first post and i wanted to put my Moc's on here.[My Own Creation(s)] I have been looking for a Mocing forum on BZPower but can't seem to find one so i decided to put it here. I have never gone on a forum or anything like this so here it goes!!! My self-Moc My self-moc is called neox and is a Toa of Ingenuity(inventions) and is of the element of engineering. He has two daggers that he uses to control metal or synthetic objects. Once he has gathered enough material to create something he can then emite an orb of energy that he can use to mold the material until he has his finished product. He can build what ever he wants or can to solve a problem. he also has an Advanced Lightstone Rifle, one of his best inventions to vapourize any being of shadow that is weaker than a makuta. it taked 20 seconds to reload and is quite heavy but it does some considerable amount of damage to other beings. Neox was formerly a Ru matoran (matoran of rust)

In a hypothetical situation where several years after G2 ends and Lego has decided to make you the lead writer for the next reboot of Bionicle. The question I am posing is this; what sort of new ideas and changes would you make? Some of the things I would do: -Remove the elements of ice and stone. Kopaka would either be a toa of Crystal or Air. Pohatu would be Toa of Wind, if Kopaka is Crystal, or Earth, if Kopaka is Wind, in which case Onua would be toa of Iron. Lewa would remain a toa of Jungle, but with powers focused on plants and no talking to the wind. Overall, there would either be about 10 to 12 elements or only six, but those have sub- elements like the idea suggested here. -Toa are decided by Golden Masks that choose matoran to become heroes. The toa must sacrifice his/her name and take a new one. Jaller become Tahu, Hahli becomes Gali, etc. And yes, the six main toa don't appear on the starting island at the start of the series, but their golden masks do. On a downer note, Golden masks are the essences of Toa who have died, and all other types of kanohi are merely copies of Golden Masks. -Turaga are not Toa who have completed their destiny, but matoran choosen to fill in the role of elder and mystic but a shared conscience between all Turaga when a matoran population does not have enough turaga. They have powers including mask usage, long distance communication and recreating the form of golden masks when one is broken. - Other races would exist, but since the setting has gone through a major war between the Great Beings and Makuta and the world is trying to rebuild itself, these are few and far between. Makuta is a mysterious, otherworldly evil with unknown goals whose corrupted minions, the rahkshi, are trying to bring back and unleash once more upon the world. The Great Beings are a desperate race who constantly try to build new things or upgrade old objects/races/individuals/places/anything-they-can-get-their-hands-on in a desperate attempt to create the prophetized Mata Nui, the final achievement of their species that they will never be able to out do. - 50/50 or close to that gender ratios.

I was wondering what do you guys think the winter 2017 sets will be. If LEGO follows their current pattern it should be "heroes". I can't think of a good reason for the Toa getting new armor again in the story. If they continue to reflect g1 we should get new Toa in 2017. However, if the rumors are true and Bionicle is ending next year I don't see LEGO taking this route. So what will they be? Please share your thoughts. Edit: Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts. Most of the comments seem to be a general outline of next year's sets but I was really wondering what you guys thought the sets would look like, for example: Tahu will look similar to g1 MN Vakama with a sleeker technical looking design or the villains will resemble the Bohrok and have firing weapons. Thank you all again.

Let's face it, as unhappy as many of us were with the basic idea of a reboot (myself included), a continuation of the original storyline would've been implausible, as well as impractical purely from a marketing perspective. G1 got extremely tangled and deserved closure, but that is a different topic. Point is, there was never sense in bringing it back from where it left off. However, I am personally still not content with many of the decisions behind the actual reboot and would like to extend a simple question to all of you: How would you have made BIONICLE 2015? Here's my best suggestion: An alternate timeline of the original storyline with massive differences in major plot points during the Toa Mata's stasis inside the Codrex. Granted, the entire "alternate universe" trope did become a bit overused in the last few years of BIONICLE, but bear with me. The basic idea (seemingly, at least) of the BIONICLE reboot was to recreate some of the key concepts of the first few years in a new an unseen environment with brand new characters, as well as (references to) old characters and locations. If the idea of the reboot was to invent a premise for brand new sets with a slightly younger target than originally, the above proposal could have easily worked just as well and many of the old fans would surely have been equally excited about the story, if not more (and I'm betting it would've been more). To better illustrate my idea, here is a sample plot I can think of off the top of my head: The Toa Mata enter the Codrex and remain dormant for hundreds of thousands of years. During their stasis, Makuta Teridax plots to overthrow Mata Nui but conjures a slightly different plan than the one we know. He plays the good guy till the very end, possibly replaces Miserix as leader of the Brotherhood by "democratic" means instead of usurpation. Once Mata Nui reaches Bara Magna, he gives Makuta control over the smaller giant robot prototype. Together they begin to reassemble Spherus Magna and just as everything is going smoothly – WHAM! Makuta shoves Mata Nui forward and Bota Magna crushes his gigantic robot head instead. Mata Nui – betrayed and murdered (or perhaps just comatose?) collapses on the surface of the newly reformed Spherus Magna and the ensuing cataclysm launches the Toa Mata out to the ocean of what was formerly Aqua Magna. Drifting afloat for several hundred or thousand years, the Toa Mata are finally summoned by someone (why not Toa Takua?) and arrive on the shores of Bara Magna, where they assemble themselves and find the planet in turmoil. The old Mata Nui robot has been evacuated and everyone is living as best they can under the tyranny of Teridax. Perhaps the Skrall work alongside him? Who knows! Perhaps a somewhat grim example, but I hope my point is clear. This is definitely the kind of reboot I would've loved to see. Old characters could've appeared with completely new roles and purposes. Every reference to the original storyline as well as every progression of the new timeline would've been a fantastic treat for every old fan. And with the right approach, such a reboot could've still worked with the current means of brand communication (think slightly more childish commercials and storytelling). What do you guys think? Let me hear your ideas.

I've got an idea for a G&T game. First thought about a 'Free-for-all' Mafia, but that would be chaos, plus it's already been done. Then thought about an idea that spun off of that one, except with zamors if you remembered what they did in 2006. Basically, you targeted someone and they then shifted allegiance to you. Anyone they targeted would also ultimately be aligned to you. But that would be chaos, not to mention that that if we assume no two people target the same person, we have a loop of allegiance. Members A-Z all answer to the next member along but Z would end up answering to A who answers to Z who answers to A... yeah, you see the problem with that? And then there's also the problem if two people target each other. Maybe instead a game called 'Midak Skyblaster'. Everyone gets one, with all four spheres of ammo. Except one's a zamor. Objective? Kill everyone else/as many people as possible with your three spheres capable of killing. Use the zamor to extend your influence beyond those three spheres. Once all the ammunition in the Midak Skyblaster is used, you're basically helpless and can't do anything else. If two people use zamors on each other they end up dying because of an endless 'I-answer-to-you-and-you-answer-to-me' loop which results in a big green explosion. If someone who's been zamored by someone else and they zamor them or the person that zamored the person who zamored them, they assume the 'top' position. Nobody knows if they've been zamored, though! So, basically, try and get as many kills by killing three people and being at the top of the biggest zamor chain. It shall be a quick game - you use all of your ammunition when everybody has signed up and the game starts. Then the results are posted and the game ends after about 48 hours or so. 48 hours because this isn't Mafia, but is ultimately inspired by it. Alright, how does 'Midak Skyblaster' sound as a quick game with those things considered?

What things do you think a set could have included to be better? Another figure or mask, a certain function or whatever else? Also, please don't post ideas for entirely new sets. We already have that here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/19741-what-bionicle-set-would-you-include/ Personally, I think LoSS would have been the perfect place for the last two Skull Spider variants.

Hey all I checked and couldn't find a old thread so I thought I'd start a new one for coming up with possible Kanohi powers and refining them into something suitable for the Bionicle. I came up with a format for the best way to convey the mask's power. Like this here. Name: (Matoran name and Mask title. E.G. Sakon mask of Craft animation.) Power: (Describe what it can do) Weakness: (Describe what balances it so it's not OP and also if it has any penalties to it.) Description/Photo: (Describe the mask look, show a design of it or both) Noble: (Tell What it has become once it turns Noble. E.G. Has it lost a time length or a part of the power.) I'll start us off with a idea I came up with recently. Name: Barok the mask of Integration Power: Allows the wearer to absorb material and merge it with their Armor. The shape of their armor after integrating said material is based off how they want to add it. (For example if the user absorbs a bit of metal they can make it a blade on their wrist or add to their armor's density.) Weakness: Only works on non living material such as Metal, Stone, Wood and such. The user can only absorb one thing at a time and there is a thirty second cool down time. Also if the mask is knocked off the user then the alterations they have done will be permanent much like the mask of adaption. Description/Photo: N/A (Will post when I get it done.) Noble: Mask can only add up to twelve pounds of material. Cool down is now two min. So what do you think? Like it? Think it needs work? Got a idea of your own? Post away.

A post for the YH24H mafia idea, fleshing it out a bit. --- First Revision First off, the game may or may not end up as XXIV. Some may contest that, but I will make a bid for XXIV. THE GIMMICKTWIST: The game is over the span of one fictional day, split up into four parts, taking a maximum of NINE rounds. Each of these parts has two rounds, to represent the Morning, the Afternoon, the Evening, and the Night. In addition, the main method of killing is by poison. This means that those targeted do not drop dead immediately. Instead, they have the chance to vote on their killer. If their killer is lynched, they get the antidote and continue to live. If not, they die. Permanently. THE ROLES The Good Guys x16 Matoran: These Matoran do nothing but vote on the killers of their dead friends (or enemies). x1 Alchemist: The Alchemist is like a Doctor, but isn't. Instead, the Alchemist has access to potions and poisons. They can provide antidotes to the poisoned, and also possesses the only potion known to combat the unknown. x1 Detective: The Detective investigates people, as always. This person cannot act during the Morning period, but can vote. If they make it to the Evening, they will get promoted and receive a gun to kill anyone with confirmed ties to the Mafia. (The Detective and Alchemist cannot act because they are on their way to work.) The Bad Guys x1 Godfather/Godmother: This person leads the Mafia. They are the one deciding what item will be found at the start of every part of the game. They're very charismatic and convincing, making their votes count double in the Night period. In addition, when they show up to kill you personally, they have all the attributes of all Mafioso who are dead. x2 Brutes: These brutes are strong and intimidating, able to silence someone and prevent them from voting and acting. Other than that, they're pretty much the generic Mafioso. x1 Witch Doctor: This person was once the Alchemist's apprentice. Unfortunately, they had a falling out, resulting in the once wide-eyed and idealistic apprentice becoming a dark, cynical, and cliched Witch Doctor, who was soon noticed and hired by the Mafia. They are the second-in-command of the Mafia and without the watchful eye of the Alchemist, is able to modify the poisons they use in such a way that the antidotes cannot cure them, but only when the Witch Doctor is sent to kill. They can also produce antidotes, should any of their fellow Mafioso become poisoned. x1 Pyrotechnician: This person is in charge of setting explosives, and is really disappointed they don't get to use a flamethrower. To prevent the curse of the pyro, they are NOT a Pyro. They are a pyrotechnician who sets explosives, rather than playing with fire. They are the third-in-command. When they get sent to kill, they do not use poison: they use an explosive. They target two people. One will always die, but the other has a 1/2 chance to survive. The explosive is instantaneous, unlike poison, so it kills outright. During the Night, thanks to the greater presence of darkness obscuring the village, the Mafia may act twice per night. The This Things x1 The New Guy: This person was originally hired by the leader of the Mafia to commit as much destruction as possible. They have since broken into the local armoury and gained as much as they possibly could, giving them a wide arsenal. This allows them to have the choice to kill instantly, kill with a weak poison, or kill with a potent poison. x1 [REDACTED]: It's said this being is the result of the Alchemist's experimentation. Nobody's ever seen them. Perhaps they even walk among us! Maybe they're affected by time of day... some say they shall come into play when Evening hits. --- Now, how does that look? Suggestions welcome. Yes, there are 25 roles there. But... the list can be 0-24. Still goes up to 24, no more, but doesn't disregard 0 like most lists.

I've been using the HF system to build for a while now, and I thought: "Hey, maybe I can put some ideas up here for some people who are practicing, or just for some fun. And maybe, I'll ask some people to put stuff up here so I can learn it too." So ask away or put up some ideas you've found whilst building with either the old system or the new one. Enjoy!

In much the same vein as the BZP Mafia discussion topic, I have taken it upon myself to begin such a thread for Hitman as well. The same rules apply, being that this is not for discussion of currently running games, but for discussion of the series itself, proposal of ideas for new games, et cetera. You can discuss previous games, put forth new ideas, and discuss ways the games can be improved. Hitman I-III (Hitman, Fighty and Caboose) Hitman IV-VI (The After Games, JiMing et al.) Hitman Lite I (Hitman: Lite Version, Baltarc) Hitman Lite II (Hitman Lite 2: Pay Grade, Chro) Hitman VII (Hitman VII: The Armoury, Pulse) Hitman VIII (Hitman VIII: Codebreaker, Chro) Hitman IX (Hitman IX: Corpsetaker, Ehks) Hitman X (Hitman X: Transformer, Axilus) Hitman XI (Hitman XI: Worldshaker, Chro)

So BZP's teen years are coming up, and thus new spinnies are to be appearing. Anyone have ideas for new spinnies? Should it be Bionicle related, Hero Factory related, etc.? Or even Lego related at all?
-
We have one for Hero Factory! Go ahead and submit any idea you have about the Bionicle world that was never really stated, even if it doesn't fit the canon 100%. I'll start with one of my own: Vamprah is mute by choice. He always disapproved of Teridax, but also knew there was no use attempting to rebel against him. When Teridax took control of the Brotherhood, Vamprah privately swore never to speak again as long as he ruled. Because if he couldn't speak out against Teridax, there was nothing worthwhile to say.

As my 50th Post Special, I have thought of some very interesting ideas for new Lego sets, and to save time explaining them all, have condensed them into a numbered list. [*]Inheritance Cycle - the possibilities are endless! [*]Ballets/Musicals - It's actually a very good idea. Scenes from the Nutcracker and Les Miserables would make great set Forget I said it. [*]Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus/Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan have good potential. [*]Chronicles of Narnia - Need I say more? [*]Leven Thumps (and the Gateway to Foo!) [*]Lego Food - Sounds interesting. [*]Fablehaven [*]Chrestomanci Books by Diana Wynne Jones - Would make fine sets. [*]Music - Different instruments made out of Lego bricksSrikethrough generally means rejected, so yeah.
