Let's face it, as unhappy as many of us were with the basic idea of a reboot (myself included), a continuation of the original storyline would've been implausible, as well as impractical purely from a marketing perspective. G1 got extremely tangled and deserved closure, but that is a different topic. Point is, there was never sense in bringing it back from where it left off. However, I am personally still not content with many of the decisions behind the actual reboot and would like to extend a simple question to all of you: How would you have made BIONICLE 2015? Here's my best suggestion: An alternate timeline of the original storyline with massive differences in major plot points during the Toa Mata's stasis inside the Codrex. Granted, the entire "alternate universe" trope did become a bit overused in the last few years of BIONICLE, but bear with me. The basic idea (seemingly, at least) of the BIONICLE reboot was to recreate some of the key concepts of the first few years in a new an unseen environment with brand new characters, as well as (references to) old characters and locations. If the idea of the reboot was to invent a premise for brand new sets with a slightly younger target than originally, the above proposal could have easily worked just as well and many of the old fans would surely have been equally excited about the story, if not more (and I'm betting it would've been more). To better illustrate my idea, here is a sample plot I can think of off the top of my head: The Toa Mata enter the Codrex and remain dormant for hundreds of thousands of years. During their stasis, Makuta Teridax plots to overthrow Mata Nui but conjures a slightly different plan than the one we know. He plays the good guy till the very end, possibly replaces Miserix as leader of the Brotherhood by "democratic" means instead of usurpation. Once Mata Nui reaches Bara Magna, he gives Makuta control over the smaller giant robot prototype. Together they begin to reassemble Spherus Magna and just as everything is going smoothly – WHAM! Makuta shoves Mata Nui forward and Bota Magna crushes his gigantic robot head instead. Mata Nui – betrayed and murdered (or perhaps just comatose?) collapses on the surface of the newly reformed Spherus Magna and the ensuing cataclysm launches the Toa Mata out to the ocean of what was formerly Aqua Magna. Drifting afloat for several hundred or thousand years, the Toa Mata are finally summoned by someone (why not Toa Takua?) and arrive on the shores of Bara Magna, where they assemble themselves and find the planet in turmoil. The old Mata Nui robot has been evacuated and everyone is living as best they can under the tyranny of Teridax. Perhaps the Skrall work alongside him? Who knows! Perhaps a somewhat grim example, but I hope my point is clear. This is definitely the kind of reboot I would've loved to see. Old characters could've appeared with completely new roles and purposes. Every reference to the original storyline as well as every progression of the new timeline would've been a fantastic treat for every old fan. And with the right approach, such a reboot could've still worked with the current means of brand communication (think slightly more childish commercials and storytelling). What do you guys think? Let me hear your ideas.

I currently got idea of making browser-based online multiplayer Bionicle game. I got a rough idea about programming stuff, but other than that, my design is lacking. I am also able to make strategy game with less visuals, close to board games. It would require dedicated server (or Hamachi or Tunngle) and separate client. So, first of all, we have two possible categories of such games. Competetive - each game takes some time (may be week or two in case of browser based game), but every time it starts, everybody has same opportunity to win. You can imagine CS:GO, Starcraft II, Dota 2, League of Legends. BZP Mafia would also fit here. Those game are skill-based. I would prefer to make this type of game. MMO-style - over a time, you gain experience, items and so. This kind of game is usually harder to get into, especially with lower playerbase. New players are most likely to not ever beat veterans, even when they get into game. You can imagine World of Warcraft, Metin 2, Ikariam. Then there is genre. Strategy - I think this needs no explaining. Strategies are Age of Empires, Starcraft II, Dota and much more. Those games would be most fitting browser and gameplay focused game I plan to do. RPG - Roleplaying games. Dungeons & Dragons, World of Warcraft, Heroes of Might & Magic, roguelikes. Action - This would require bigger development team - graphics, sounds, design and programming would all be much harder than for first to genres. Both strategy and RPGs have many examples of working turn based and real time styles. Turn based - much more suitable for browser, ie. better option. Eg. Heroes of M&M, most roguelikes. Real time - might work with client, but would be of course harder to make and to play. Those are just basic things I have to decide for. The game itself is another thing. Feel free to share any ideas you ever had for Bionicle game, but couldn't ever realize them!

In much the same vein as the BZP Mafia discussion topic, I have taken it upon myself to begin such a thread for Hitman as well. The same rules apply, being that this is not for discussion of currently running games, but for discussion of the series itself, proposal of ideas for new games, et cetera. You can discuss previous games, put forth new ideas, and discuss ways the games can be improved. Hitman I-III (Hitman, Fighty and Caboose) Hitman IV-VI (The After Games, JiMing et al.) Hitman Lite I (Hitman: Lite Version, Baltarc) Hitman Lite II (Hitman Lite 2: Pay Grade, Chro) Hitman VII (Hitman VII: The Armoury, Pulse) Hitman VIII (Hitman VIII: Codebreaker, Chro) Hitman IX (Hitman IX: Corpsetaker, Ehks) Hitman X (Hitman X: Transformer, Axilus) Hitman XI (Hitman XI: Worldshaker, Chro)
