I really liked the idea that only one of the Toa was from the original story, so maybe tossing in another matoran from the old world would be fun. Maybe use some special stone to change their element and you'd have a full set.Maybe you have more planned out, but I think it would be interesting to see. I'm just reeeeally busy trying to slog through my current project, Shadow of The Devilman. I'm nearing the end of the second act now, I think, so I should have it finished in a month or so. Rest assured, once that's out of the way, Nova Orbis will return this summer and I'll be really focused on the next story arc. Yeah, yeah, it's a little emo, but just think about all the baggage this guy has. Thousands upon thousands of (rightfully) being treated as an outcast by his fellow Matoran, seen as a traitor and a villain. After a while of dealing with that, you learn to hate yourself as well. So he hops aboard a spaceship, travels to a new world with a new generation of Matoran who know nothing about him, giving himself a fresh start, a clean slate, a new lease on life... but then he has a hard time relating to them, so he just kinda fafs off to be on his own. Now, all that loneliness and self-loathing, all those years of learning to tell himself that it's just kind of in his nature to be "bad," ALL of it gets compounded with his suddenly becoming a Toa, and everything that comes with it.Suddenly, he's become the face of those that stand for all things good in the eyes of the Matoran. Now he has the pressure of never letting them down, all these people who think he's so great, now. This must be such a confusing time for him, the attention and the faith placed in him an' everything. It's all happened so fast, like turning on a light switch and just... yeah, there he is.So with all of that in mind... I think this song captures those jumbled, mixed feelings about everything that's going on in his life right now. Heck, all things considered, I'd say Ahkmou's performed splendidly as the leader of the new Toa in the few days he's been able to, keeping his head in the game and coming up with so many plans from moment to moment despite having all that junk in his head.I also think that, being one of the few old-world characters still around (and the only one in the current Toa team), I think he is closest to the hearts of us oldschool Bionicle fans, at least in some ways.On another note, you may notice some changes in his appearance... aside from the battle damage, anyway. Ford Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Now I want to read through the last chapter again.I also feel the inspiration to make another video promoting the next story arc, provided I have the time for making videos in the future.I wouldn't mind minor tweaks to the Toa designs; keeping it the same, but with a few differences. I usually look forward to changes in character designs when a new season of a show comes around just as an example. Take your time on the next batch. I'm looking forward to reading it! Just look up Freak Kitchen's "Freak of The Week." There's a great animated music video for it an' everything. In a future story arc, once his character has developed a bit more, and he's more used to being a Toa, I might change his character theme to "Try Walking in My Shoes" by Depeche Mode. It's a much more mellow sort of song, implying that he's more at peace with himself by that point in his life. Oh, no, it's just that we're only seeing the GLOW of his right eye under the mask. His mask is just sorta hanging there. I'm almost done, guys, I swear. You know that point near the end of every movie where things seem hopeless, then the hero pulls out one last crazy hat trick at the last minute to save the day? Well, that's where I'm at with this comic. I swear I'll be done with it in a coupla' weeks, and then I'll get to work on writing the next arc. Since it'll be one arc instead of... one arc split into two smaller half arcs, this year's story might be slightly shorter than the last one's, (like, say, 20 chapters instead of 25) mainly because we don't have to spend nearly as much time simply introducing the reader to things and getting them familiarized to this world. We're already here, now let's just see what's left of Miro Nui to be explored and go. I'm sorry this is taking me so long, guys. I really don't want to let the old school Bionicle fans down. If Ahkmou can see the rock, and it's nearby, he should be able to control it.
