A quick(ish) collection of MOCs

Recommended Posts

It's been ages since I've actually put something here in BBC, so I'm going to post a big one now! Over this past week, I've made quite a few MOCs, most of them being experiments in making small custom bodies.

My Matoran design:

Tyxama, Turaga of Fire:

Sanmaka, post- Spherus Magna reformation female Toa of the Green

Sanmaka was an experiment in building a titan-scale torso, and although it could do with a bit of tweaking, I'm happy with the overall result. The reason why I didn't make her sword any longer was because I wanted her to look like a soldier, and a short sword helps that along, and the excess amount of black on the hands was intended to look like gloves.

Okay, so you have quite a showcase there. I'll comment on each one separately.

The matoran design: appears to be quite limited when it comes to mobility. Also the back is a bit bare; you could have considered a HF foot just to fill it up.

The Turaga: a great color scheme. I particularly like the way the staff complements the rest of the color scheme as well. You could get by with a few more minor details added to the MOC, but whatevs :P

Sanmaka: I think it's well thought-out for the most part, but I feel the torso makes him appear a bit too plump and not really feminine from what I've seen. It would help if you reduce the bulk going on at the lower torso, as well as leaving some at the top of the chest. Wouldn't hurt implementing some hip-like armoring as well, something like Rahkshi feet would work great.

Overall, while this is a fine collection of creations for someone who hasn't been building for quite a long time, I'd say it's a good attempt that could've used some more work.

The Matoran look good. The Inika shoulder armor actually works there. I still prefer the look of Metruans, but that works too.

The Turaga isn't really anything remarkable, though.

Sanmaka is really fat. Never seen a fat Toa before. If that wasn't the intention, then remember to balance out distribution of mass better. If that was the intention, then...congratulations, I think.

The matoran or okay, but I think the arms seem a little too long for the rest of the body. I really like the Turaga though. He looks pretty good.

I agree with previous posters about the Toa's torso. For the size of the Toa, the torso is just a little bit too big. You may want to consider trying to shrink the torso down a little bit. Or you could also reuse it and try com up with some larger legs and arms. However you did an excellent job with the legs. If you make an modifications I would definitely keep the legs and try to reuse them as well.
