That's how long it's been.

 

Okay! I have something new for you folks. It's a MINOTAUR!!!

If enough people are interested, I will also provide the LDD file. 

 

No story for this particular minotaur. A rather speedy project which took about 4-5 hours in total over two days.

I wanted to maintain an asymmetrical armor look because I thought it would work better than full symmetry.

 

Will you please tell me what you think of this guy? Comments and criticism are always welcome. Also, feel free to up-vote the post if you want to.

Wow. I've seen a lot of Minotaur and other mythical creature builds, and I've never been impressed, so I'll admit I wasn't expecting much. It's just really hard to nail that organic look with parts provided by Lego.

 

That being said, you totally nailed it. I really love the torso especially. The black pieces around the Ben 10 torso makes an excellent furred, muscular body. You used pieces very well to give him fur in the right places. Probably my favorite part is that head though. It's really beautifully shaped.

 

The only thing I can criticize is the legs. The body is huge and hulking, he has long, burly arms, and then his legs are just too gappy and short. The hips are a bit wide, but I love the black fur on the sides. The hooves also look good, but it would be nicer if the armor pieces were always flush with the feet. Perhaps while rebuilding the legs, you could just connect the armor to the feet somehow. It would add some needed length.

Your advice actually made a world of sense. I've modified one of the legs by making the thigh more "fleshed out" as you suggested, as well as elongating it in the process. The MOC's proportions, while not as true to the proportions of the Minotaur in some of the references, work better that way. I'll post a couple photos when I finish the other leg, as well as modify the tail from comments elsewhere. Thanks again.

I'm surprised you don't have a custom member title like "Bionicle Master Builder" or something like that. I've seen your other creations, and although this one looks not as real (duh) it is just as amazing as all your other MOCs. I think of you as one of the gods of Bionicle MOCing, by the way.
