Dark_Stranger Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 This creature was, until recently, one of a species of imposing--but rather cowardly--hunter/scavengers. That all changed when it broke into an ancient crypt looking for bodies to feed upon. Instead, it found an ornate staff emitting an alluring glow. When the beast touched it, the ancient consciousness imprisoned within the scepter immediately took control. It modified the scavenger, both mentally and physically, and now used the beast to further its own ends. The villagers call the mutated creature Calliope, for its hauntingly musical cry.
