Hello BZPower! I'm on holiday and bored so I decided to make a poll that I hope will make clear the most popular Bionicle set.

How it works: I am going to be going year by year making a poll on which there is an option for every set of that year and when I close them (probably in 1st January 2015) I will make a new poll consisting of the winners of each one which people vote on. PLEASE DO NOT VOTE TWICE ON A SINGLE POLL! Thank you :D!

I will not be counting: anything that isn't Lego, the Turaga Kabaya, any combiners that were not released by themselves (e.g. I will count Kardas but not the Toa Kaita), super rare things like the Piraka Kaita or Sand Tarakava and things like mask packs or Krana.

I will be counting: any standard sets in canisters or boxes, promotional (good/bad guy sets, click, ect), special editions (including combiners like Irnakk) and play-sets.

Keep in mind that these sets are in the forms they are in in that year.

Bionicle 2015: this will be only Gen 1 unless I decide otherwise.

Kopaka. I just think he is the most fun to pose, and I love the ice theme. I do like his personality, though Pohatu is my favorite character.

Edit: Also he has my favorite eye color of the six Toa, and his scope is cool.

I voted for Kopaka because I like the designs of his sword and shield. It was somewhat hard to decide on my favorite set because all of the original Toa are all awesome, despite the limited articulation and basic construction they have.

Tarakava. Too much fun. Plus an AMAZING colour scheme.

My thoughts exactly. What could possibly be cooler than a lizard on wheels that can box?

I voted for Lewa - he and Tahu were my first Toa Mata, but the Mata and Nuva versions of Lewa both hold perhaps a higher level of nostalgia within my heart than any other sets.

E: Also, this whole "polls for most popular sets of each year" idea is really cool.

Most of the Rahi were pretty great sets. I was tempted to just go with one of the Toa fueled by nostalgia, but couldn't stop thinking of how much I always admired Muaka & Kane-Ra (even if I only finally got my own pair a few years ago).

Lewa was my favorite Mata. The scheme and mask are what stuck out to me the most.

Tahu, hands-down. That Hau is so iconic, and the colour scheme and weapon are very vivid and really stand out. Plus, he's pretty much the most rounded of the Toa Mata - has a design that both Kopaka and Lewa follow but Gali, Onua and Pohatu modify upon.

Great idea, by the way!

I voted Vakama, because he was a simple, and cool, technic figure. I loved his mask, colors and his staff, which is one of my favorite bionicle pieces. I also voted up Muaka and Kane-ra, because no one can argue with those terrible beasts.

You can't vote twice!!!!!!!!!!!

I vote none because I vote takanuva

He is the best set. If it is 2001 why vakama and team

These polls are going by the official release dates, so whilst one can could buy sets at latter dates it's just counting when they were officially released, not counting any early releases because of trials or individual stores breaking the rules.

So Vakama, Matau, Nuju, Nokama, Onewa, & Whenua are actually referring to their Turaga sets on this poll. but on the 2004 one it refers to their Toa Metru sets, & the 2005 poll refers to their Hordkia sets :)

I believe Toa Malachives is going to make another poll in a few weeks which will be between the winners of each, so you may wnat to make sure you vote for Takanuva ... although there's a few differant versions of him;

There is the 2003 Takanuva (here's a quick link to the 2003 poll)

There is the 2008 Takanuva (here's a quick link to the 2008 poll)

There is the 2010 Takanuva (here's a quick link to the 2010 poll)

Oh and there was also the Takutanuva set, also in 2003 :)

Knowing what names refer to which sets can be irksome when a character has had a few different sets, but Brickipedia has a good list, so that might make things a bit easier, 'cause there were plenty of Bionicle sets out there by 2010 ;)

This was another hard one, but ended up going Muaka & Kane-Ra. I could have voted one of the Toa or Nui-Rama as well, but I decided that the Muaka & Kane-Ra stands out not only for 2001 but all years.

Onua was always my favorite and I'm so happy he's been done justice in gen2. The Nui Rama was my favorite of the Rahi, the green one more specifically. They were also my first of the Rahi.

Really, all of these sets are great, and you can't go wrong choosing any of them. I regret not get a lot of these guys, including Kopaka, who I voted for.

Tahu.  Much as I love Lewa, Tahu and his original Hau are what I think of when I think of Bionicle.  The quintessential set for the entire line, I'd say.

Had to vote Lewa, my first Toa, because of nostalgia.  I love the green and lime.  Honorable mentions to Tarakava and Muaka and Kane-Ra.

I voted Tahu, but really I think all of the Toa are good sets. Some other Toa I was thinking of voting for were Lewa (who has my favorite color scheme) and Onua (because of his somewhat unique build), but Tahu won because as a set he has the best balance of articulation and functions out of all the Toa, and he's also pretty much the face of Bionicle, particularly this version of him.
