The Other Kholin
Aurum (Gold)Argentum (Silver)Scientific Name: Felis aurum / Felis argentumHabitat: Forested mountains, occasionally other places, common around coastal areasDiet: Fish, squirrelsTameness rating (Out of ten): 9, With fish, 3Summary/Bio: The Gold and Silver Cats are legendary predators. They are large enough to ride (6 feet), and at full speed (which has only been achieved so far by threatening it with an Acid Eagle (Coming Soon!) and by taunting it with a fish) can break the sonic barrier. Their coats are pure gold or silver, but still softer than a feather bed. They make good companions if you've got a good sense of adventure and when to run for your life. Sumiki
They're really quite tiny ... not much detail you can pack in at that level. That said, not knowing what it was supposed to be would probably lead to an assumption that they're not feline, but canine.I can't really suggest anything you might apply to make them more catlike at such a small scale, so I'd definitely suggest boosting the scale quite a bit - by at least twice, maybe three times. The Other Kholin
a-HEM.I can see your point, it might look like a dog, but I intended it to be a cat. Thanks for your feedback. When I have more time on my hands I'll build a cat. Or my dad will. At least the head.... I'm horrible at fine detail, but ask me for a tiny version of anything and I'll bang it out in no time. FrozenFlash
They're a bit small and by the way, where are the eyes?
The Other Kholin
They are micro scale. How am I supposed to put eyes on? No offense.
Valendale
They are micro scale. How am I supposed to put eyes on? No offense.Actually, I think the studs on the side of the head already make good eyes.
The Other Kholin
Yeah... actually, they do. How nice.
TorpeAlex
In your introduction, you mention that they are tall enough to ride on- how about making them big enough for minifigs to ride on? At this point, there's really not much to review or critique. Besides the obvious. The ears are a good choice of pieces I guess. Waffles
Um, they´re really tiny.I would suggest you incorporate them as part of a larger diorama, and actually build it in rela life. Perhaps they´re hunting or playing around? By themesleves there isn´t much to criticize or compliment.
The Other Kholin
I'm actually planning to build a larger set on LDD before it closes -- and order it, if it's not to expensive ($18 for just one of those guys!). I will probably get a whole bunch of those joints from Knight's Kingdom and paint 'em gold. So, yeah. Thanks for the criticism. I'll try to build it on a larger scale. CaT in Rogue
Well, it looks kind of cat like, but it's hard to tell at that scale. Still, pretty good for a mini model.
