IC: Tonitrui - Stelt Coastline.

 

Pieces of rent metal drifted in the current as Tonitrui swam away with the remnants of the jaeger clenched in her claws. She could sense the Alpha making its way towards another settlement, but she knew better than to engage in another fight while she was still injured.

 

For now, she would return to the Hive, rest and recuperate. And then, she would hunt again...

IC: Darken - Zakaz Mainland. 

 

He kept high, using the rising smoke for cover. He circled around behind the jaeger, then swept upwards, swooping downwards from above with claws extended. He was swiftly learning that these machines were incapable of seeing directly above them, so it was from precisely that direction that he now launched his attacks.

OOC: Next character I make is going to have a skylight in their mech.

 

IC (As Bakira): "Can we just hide somewhere? We can't fight what we can't see." The skakdi of gravity said with a growl as the Kaiju swooped down. She kicked the cockpit open and looked up. "Karz!" The gravity skakdi hopped back in the machine and made it run forward.

 

IC (As Nuhahu): *There's so many books here, but I can't find a single one based on geography...* the matoran of ice walked past the bookshelf and took a look at another one. *perfect, it's non fiction, but there's nothing on geography yet.*

IC: Darken - Zakaz Mainland.

 

When the kaiju started moving forward, Darken altered his trajectory slightly, maintaining most of his momentum as he rapidly closed the distance between him and the jaeger's exposed back...

IC (As Detangi): He and his partner felt the sharp claws smash them to the floor and tear their back open as there were long gashes above the kanohi hatch. "Just run, we can't win!" The sonic skakdi shouted as he tried to get the cockpit open with no success. "Come on, work with me, we have to get the Jaeger back on its feet!"

 

IC (As Bakira): "Karz!" The gravity skakdi tried to kick the cockpit open. "I read you loud and clear, Tangi." Said Bakira as she tried to use her powers of gravity along with Detangi's power of sonics. There was a high pitched frequency being emitted while the Jaeger began to float. "Get it upright now!"

The Kaiju began to near Xia, roars and growls could be heard as the huge horde approached.

Some big, high-power Kaiju. Was It the rumored alpha?

 

Abbenidium swam a distance away from the intimidating one with its amassed army, keeping a safe distance and cutting through the murky water with its beady eyes.

Sharky ignored the much smaller Kaiju. The coast of Xia was in viewing distance.

"This is Stelt Shatterdome to Acacia. What's your status?"

IC-Acacia

 

"Uhh...I'm on the beach?"

Acacia's escape pod had hit land, and she was now contacting the Shatterdome with the Escape pod's onboard communicator. The battle at sea seemed to be dying down, so It'd probably be safer if she stayed put for now, especially at this time.

 

IC-Lash

 

The Kaiju poked it's head above the water, eyeing up the island in the distance, a sprawling metropolis against the background of an imposing mountain. how much fun he would have with his brothers and sisters tearing that place up... he quickly submerged again as he got closer, keeping out of sight.

Lash Approaching Xia, Acacia on the shores of Stelt, currently in an important phone call with the Shatterdome.

IC: Valfares - Approaching Xia

 

Valfares followed the horde led by the Alpha, though due to his slower nature, he was in the back of the pack. He wasn't the most active Kaiju, so he tended to not go out by his lonesome. A gathering like this, however, is an opportunity he wouldn't miss. He just hoped his slower speed wouldn't cause him to miss out on the fun.

IC Rhongomiant

The squid-rahkshi-dragon-feathers creature didn't quite so much swim as it ran through the water, it surfaced for a moment and let out a two hundred decibel demonic bird call of sorts before submerging and attaching itself to the bigger, faster Sharky with it's glue. Once they reached dry land he'd disembark and tag team some Jaegers WOO!

GM IC: Sharky

The larger Kaiju let the other one attach to him, as he knew not all could swim as well. The city was now well in view, and Sharky resurfaced, giving a giant roar, well audible by the residents of Xia.

GM IC: Vofosu

An alarm blared just as Vofosu was about to speak. "...karz." She pulled out a communicator and spoke through the speakers of the shatterdome. "ALL JAEGERS GET TO THE SHORELINE, WE HAVE AN ALPHA ATTACK."

IC: Darken - Zakaz Mainland.

 

The jaeger fell, and he dug his claws into its back, stabbing down towards its head and shoulders with his wing claws.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Coastline.

 

The jaeger emerged from the shatterdome with weapons primed. He was confident; unlike most hunts, the prey were coming to him. Xia was the most heavily-defended island in the universe, the shoreline bristling with weapons of every kind. Most of the kaiju would be cut to pieces long before they got close to making landfall. 

 

He would ignore them, and focus all of his attention on this "Alpha" everyone was so scared of.

Deep underneath Stelt, even here, the roar of the Alpha Kaiju could be heard. Somewhere in the Facility, another roar answered it. This was not the roar of an enraged Kaiju, however. This roar sounded defeated, low in tone, almost morose. 

 

The Carpathian watched the monitors with rapt attention. The Kaiju detected Earlier would make a fine addition, though care would have to be taken in capturing it. For now, he would send a detatchment to assist the Xian defenders. The alpha was one of the most dangerous Kaiju, second only to one creature, though it had been dealt with long ago.

 

The lone roar sounded once more, and he quickly punched a button on his desk.

 

"Alpha Team, it's time to move. Make us look good out there."

 

"Yes, sir!" Came the eager reply. 

 

From Arthaka's Jaeger bays emerged three Jaegers, in blue and white, each emblazoned with the fabled Mask of Creation. Loaded with missiles, electric net launchers, blades, and even the odd power fist, as well as Pakaris, the trio of Jaegers were loaded for bear, and started their way toward Xia to flank the Kaiju.

 

The Carpathian sat back and folded his hands together.

 

It was time they made a name for themselves.

IC Black

The fabled alpha Kaiju, eh? Time to fire up the Woden, and fire it up he did. Striding out of the dome and towards the shoreline like the suicidally cocksure pilot he was.

GM IC: Sharky

Soon after Sharky landed on the beach with about 10 other Kaiju following closely behind, and about another 50 on their way, about 5 jaegers had been deployed at the beach, one of them had begun opening fire at the hive with a Cordak blaster, taking a cat 1 Kaiju's life. Sharky roared and sprinted forward on all fours, and opened his mouth, letting a huge inferno of sparks erupt from his mouth, frying the Jaeger easily. Nektann's opened fire on the huge Kaiju, but the bullets simply bounced off his hard armour, and were soon also fried by his electric breath. Xia had not been prepared for this.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Coastline.

 

He spotted the Alpha kaiju easily - it was the big one that had somehow already breezed through all of the coastal defences and was shrugging off crippling attacks as if they were nothing. 

 

All around him, smaller kaiju were falling to the Zamors of the Nektan and Rhotuka of the Vortixx, Cordak rounds tearing into their armour while heavy plasmacasters melted gaping holes in their flesh. Acrid kaiju blood filled the water, and Oblitus strode purposefully through the carnage towards the monster responsible. 

 

The Alpha would be his. 

 

The monster was busy rampaging through the defences, its back to the water. It was vulnerable, exposed. He raised his cannon and fired a deadly pulse of sonics towards the back of the Alpha's skull.

Sharky roared as the sonics ripped through his ears. He turned around, in a rage, and,opened his mouth, this time a huge torrent of ice flowing from his mouth, headed straight for Oblitus' mech. That had caught him off guard, and he wasn't letting this little toy kill him.

IC (As Nuhahu): She had just taken out a book when the roar of the alpha Kaiju made her jump in surprise. "Vatyr!" The Ko-Matoranyelled in the library. "We can't stay here, we've got to go take out those Kaiju or make them flee!" Nuhahu bolted out of the library back to her Jaeger.

 

IC (As Detangi): "I hate flying Kaiju!" Screamed the sonic skakdi as the Jaeger fell back onto the ground and the cockpit door jammed shut. "Bakira, if we make it out of this alive, we are going to upgrade this thing!"

An easy kill. He opened his maw wide, and tried to bite into the top of the jaeger's head.

IC Abbenidium

 

Content to remaining a distance away and watching, Abbenidium noticed Oblitus and decided to be a minor help, its dark colors blending in with the shadowy night water. As an added measure, it mildly activated its chameleon skin, swimming until it was close enough to still be under, waiting for a chance.

 

IC Dessimus

 

The large bag was leaking air fast. Dessimus heard the Kaiju attacking the other machine; the poor pilots. Dessimus used the time to read the paper he had snagged.

"Well then." He said, running to The Whisper

[Nato G]

IC: Oblitus - Xia Coastline.

 

The Alpha was a huge creature, fearsome and powerful, but it wasn't very smart. It was still sitting on the beach, while Oblitus' mech stood knee deep out in the water - well out of range of its breath attack.

 

The Vortixx calmly levelled his weapon once more, powering up his Mk II special ability and unleashing a dozen rapid-fire sonic blasts towards the monster's open, gaping maw.

IC (As Bakira): "Focus our powers!" Shouted the gravity skakdi as she combined her powers with Detangi. The Jaeger began to float again while a high pitched noise filled the air.

 

IC (As Detangi): "This Kaiju is either completely deaf or it has a tolerance for high frequencies!" The sonic skakdi screamed as his ears began to hurt and ring.

IC: Sharky

Now that really ###### the Alpha off. The Kaiju roared in pain as the sonic blasts almost destroyed his ears. He turned round, and grabbed the fallen Jaeger, and then threw over his head, sending it soaring towards Oblitus.

The noise was beginning to grow painful, only making him fight all the harder to tear his way into the machine's mechanical skull and destroy whatever was causing it. He hated it when the little squishies inside fought back like this...

IC: Oblitus - Xia Coastline.

 

He scrambled to the side, the water exploding upwards as the ruined jaeger crashed down into it. The kaiju didn't seem to be coming any closer, meaning he still had the advantage. He fired off another volley of rapid-fire pulses, aiming towards the creature's eyes. 

 

This monster had attacked his home, and he would make it pay dearly for that...

GM IC Sharky:

 

The colossal Kaiju turned into the attack letting it ripple through his heavily plated side, and orienting him toward the water. This had the unintended side effect of smashing a large portion of the defensive wall with his tail. He moved forward with powerful strides, taking him out into the open water. while the Alpha was able to move easily on land or sea, the water allowed his bulk to move much faster. 

 

Sharky was an apex predator, and at the moment, his prey seemed to be playing with him. Still, his head ached from the sonic pulses. it made him angry.

 

 

He powered through the water away from Oblitus a few meters, then turned, and with a roar that shook the ground, lowered his bony head and charged, electrifying his skin as he did so. 

 

With rage and pain, The Kaiju Alpha had just become an unstoppable train  headed right for Oblitus.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Coastline.

 

This was more like it... The Alpha had already demonstrated itself to be slow and clumsy, powerful but inefficient. He was confident that it wouldn't be able to change direction particularly quickly now that it had committed itself to a charge.

 

He started running to the side, his sonic weapon still firing strafing shots towards the monster's head as he did so.

GM IC  Sharky:

 

More annoying sounds. More headaches. Oblitus was right in thinking that Sharky would not be able to change his directional velocity very well.

 

However, the Alpha Kaiju didn't need to change it, just his direction.

 

He turned away from the shots, his whole massive body swinging to the side, and the massive spiked tail coming out at Oblitus' side. with the speed of his charge and the force from his turn, it was a crippling blow that Oblitus likely wouldn't be able to dodge.

IC Rhongomiant

Nestled in a fold of the Alpha's durable and protective skin, a winged-tentacled-feathered terror had been waiting. Calculating the De-Jaeger's trajectory and Sharky's own, the thing hopped off at an opportune time to attempt to latch a hand, foot, tentacle or other thing onto the robot's face or arms or something, lots of kaiju glue was being secreted and flung about.

IC: Oblitus (Solitarius Lupus) - Xia Shoreline.

 

His left shoulder took the brunt of the swing, catapulting him several dozen bio through the air to crash into the sandy shoreline. The jaeger picked itself up, Oblitus already skimming over the diagnostic readouts to get an idea of what sort of damage he'd taken. 

 

With the shoulder unresponsive, the entire left arm was pretty much out of commission. The plating on the jaeger's back was damaged from the landing. The cockpit, cushioned by numerous layers of armour plating, was slightly crumpled but mostly intact. More importantly, his weapon was still fully functional. 

 

A weapon he now fired at the two kaiju once more as he began backing away inland - away from the city.

The shots hit Sharky in the body as he turned to face Oblitus, making his whole body shake and hurt as they impacted, He growled and swam quickly towards the shore, pursuing the Solitarius Lupus.

IC: Oblitus (Solitatius Lupus) - Xia Shoreline. 

 

He continued moving inland, his Arthron allowing him to keep fully aware of his surroundings as he used the empty, abandoned buildings and warehouses as cover. Safe inside his jaeger, he was protected from the pollution. Hopefully the thick smog would hamper the kaiju, at least a little.

 

"This is Oblitus," he calmly reported into his radio, "I'm engaging the Kaiju Alpha on the outskirts of the old warehouse district. Requesting immediate backup." It hurt to ask for help, but he wasn't stupid. 

 

This wasn't a fight he could win alone...

IC: Smackdown - Zakaz

Swinging his rocky fists with absolutely no remorse for the insects below him, Smackdown smashed his way through buildings with ease, wondering how long it would take them to deploy one of their mechanical abominations in response to his rampant destruction.

 

IC: Phantom - Xia Coastline

Sensing the massive group of Kaiju being lead towards the mainland by their Alpha, Phantom abandoned the remnants of her snack and began heading in the same direction in the hopes of acquiring a bigger meal.

 

IC: Blockbuster - Stelt Coastline

Blockbuster waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Eventually, a pack of Takea swam by its prone and unmoving body, likely looking for food of their own.

Unfortunately for them, however, it was their turn to become the meal.

The Kaiju opened its mouth ever so slightly, quickly sucking up all of the surrounding water as the sharks struggled vainly in order to outrace their doom.

And then, after a bit of chewing, it let out a small burp before patiently beginning the hunt once again.

Abbenidium had watched the fight and sat back. A possible attempt beforehand might have resulted in being hit by the Alpha.

 

It still remained under the waves, waiting for a chance.

 

IC Dessimus

 

He couldn't wait any longer. Dessimus popped open the slot in the versatile bag and watched it collapse. The exterior was partially in flames. A shredded piece he kept so he could duplicate it.

 

In the distance, Darken was winning a battle against Baros. Nothing left to do but walk.

 

Dessimus turned from his entire life and paced quietly away into the distance, nothing left but a small remnant and a poor map... One that would change his life forever.

IC Nilax:

Returning to Tactivs to retrieve a Madu Fruitbar he had left, Nilax heard the radio signal. "Jaeger Tactivs responding," Nilax said as he booted up the systems and calibrated the autotargers. "Send co-ords please."

GM IC Sharky:

 

The Alpha Kaiju, though slightly hindered by the smoke, could still see the sparking and damaged Jaeger. Warehouses only came up so high, and Sharky was biiiig.

 

He stomped through the warehouses, feeling satisfaction knowing he was also breaking the tiny people of this world's supplies.

 

He opened his bmouth, and spewed lightning at Oblitus' already damaged Jaeger through a space in the warehouses. It crackled between the buildings, breaking lights and setting off explosives as it tore across space eager to render the Jaeger inoperable.

The doors for the Shatterdome opened as Tactivs moved out.

IC (As Bakira): "Keep it going, it may be the only thing that gets the Kaiju to leave!" Bakira yelled, trying to make herself heard above the high pitched ringing. At this point, the head was being torn apart and the pilots could no longer see out of the machine.
