The Hip Historian Iaredios Posted March 25, 2016 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Has anyone else watched the old Chinese animated movie, "Uproar in Heaven' (also known as, 'Havoc in Heaven')? I saw this last month and I thought it was amazing. It enlightened me into some Taoist mythology, the music is fitting, excellent choreography for a hand-drawn cartoon, and the art is simply amazing. I mean, look at this scene, it looks like it is from an ancient Chinese painting or something!The Taoist god Nezha combats The Monkey King Sun Wukong on behalf of the Jade Emperor in Wukong's rebellion against the Jade Emperor & Heaven. I just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this work of art and if there are any foreign animated movies similar to this.
