Kepora
Hey everyone! Boy, sure has been a while; last MOC I made before my old collection was sold (and for a horribly small amount, mind you) was...dang, last one in my Brickshelf I can see was my Pohatu Mistika mod, uploaded to Brickshelf in August of 2008. Really has been a long time, huh? I doubt many of you even remember me! Well, with Bionicle's return, I've indulged myself in what few sets I've been able to acquire. It's taken me time, but I've (sort of) warmed up to the CCBS system. Having only a handful of sets, i decided to challenge myself, seeing as almost all of them fell under Earth or Stone - I was going to make combiners, using only the parts available within the sets. And here's the results of that self-imposed challenge! I may write up some lore/background for each later - but for now, enjoy the pretty pictures. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090002.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090016.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090034.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090100.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090230.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_090418.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091132.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091147.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091222.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091351.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091405.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091540.jpghttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Panrahk-Will/G2/20160614_091603.jpg
The Invisible Handman
It's a decent return, good to see someone returning to building. Your models feel too similar to what Bionicle already has, but I do like what you've done with the four armed Pohatu. The earth elemental builds are also okay. Good job! Good job! Thanks! yeah, I know they share a lot of similarities; sadly, there's only so much one can do when the only other CCBS figures they own are a single water protector and Worriz. I challenged myself to try and keep it to just the parts that came in the stone sets and Earth sets, and I tried to combine both the Protector of Earth's shooter and the Creature of Earth's claw functions; sadly, I couldn't figure anything out. Pohaturon
That is a really solid MOC! You've managed to pull off a large change in the overall appearance of the character (4 arms) and yet it still feels like Pohatu. The whole thing is really cohesive and polished. The Earth combiner is quite the looker too, but I particularly appreciate the image of the revamped 2008 Pohatu Awesome job! Quote Stone rocks Model Designer at The LEGO Group. Pohatu's been my favorite since the originals; heck, he was the first Bionicle figure I ever had, so when I do somehting regarding him MOC-wise I do my best to do him justice! (And a Bonus Onua, just 'cause )

Pohatu was my first one as well I'm really loving those hermes-like winged feet on the Pohatu Nuva revamp, and its nice to see more shots of Pohatu Phantoka! I admit, when the 2008 line was introduced I was like "no. Pohatu is brown. I don't know who this orange Toa is", but then I warmed up to it. If your MOC would have been the official set, I would have been a lot more receptive from the get-go As for your Onua, I always like seeing Rahkshi thighs used in clever ways!
