Volitak_Boxor
Almost a year ago, in this topic, it was discovered that a few combiner models of uncertain origin had actually been featured on the Bionicle website in late 2003. For those unfamiliar, these are the four models: The first model was comparatively well-known, since it was featured on the back of one of the comics from 2003, but the other models seemed like they had been mostly forgotten. Months ago, I tried to reverse-engineer and rebuild some of these models, and inspired by all the more timely Makuta-replicating topics, I finally got around to photographing a series of steps needed to construct these models. I wanted to share what I'd done: Onua Nuva + Pahrak-Kal / Pohatu Nuva + Nuhvok-Kal: http://biosector01.com/wiki/index.php/File:Inspirational_Model_3_Instructions.pdf Tahu Nuva + Kohrok-Kal: http://biosector01.com/wiki/images/a/a3/Inspirational_Model_4_Instructions.pdf I think that these reconstructions are mostly accurate, at least as far as I can tell from a single image. If anyone notices a discrepancy, though, please let me know. The Onua Nuva + Pahrak-Kal model does use one extra #2 axle, but I couldn't find a workaround that matched the photo as closely. Also, I'm curious if anyone is interested in trying to reconstruct the second model, built from Lehvak, Panrahk, and Kurahk. I don't have any idea how to rebuild that torso, but if someone else figures it out, I'd probably be willing to create a similar set of detailed photo instructions, if nobody else does. 2 Quote ^ Often lurking, occasionally writing about sets on BS01. L This link is a bit old, but there's still some good info about combiners there.

I don't have Panrahk, but the rahkshi are pretty much identical anyways. And done After struggling with Makuta, this one was relatively easy. The actual model isn't very good, though. There's a reason the torso was obscured. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0po4RbFJEpXZ2xtSzlYby1xTlcydnRiQWtQV0E1SFMwaW1F Edited August 18, 2016 by Makaru Quote Did you go to the 2002 'The Power Lies Beneath' tour?If yes, PM me. I think I'll try to build a version myself with all the right colors. Would you be able to share a side profile photo of the model? That could come in handy, although I can probably make do with what you've already uploaded. And yeah, that thing turns out to have a stick for a torso. It falls far short of its Turahk-Vorahk-Guurahk counterpart. Quote ^ Often lurking, occasionally writing about sets on BS01. I was disappointed in the torso, too. It looks dinky and mine kept flopping loosely, though that might be due to wear. Was also a bit put off by the asymmetry displayed on the upper arms and the waist greebles. Quote Did you go to the 2002 'The Power Lies Beneath' tour?If yes, PM me.
