Wait, you do?

I thought Saffina was just planning to wait until the person Varim's waiting for arrives.

Well, yeah, but that also sort of implies that Varim's associate has to show up sooner or later, right?

I mean, it's cool if you're still working on their profile or whatever; take as long as you need on that front. I'm just saying that she's still technically active, and can't really go anywhere in relation to the quest without some GM input.

Okay, I normally wouldn't give away plot details that haven't been revealed yet, but since Saffina is your only character at the moment, I feel like I should give you fair warning: Varim is waiting for Silvana, who is currently about 3-4 hour's flight from Cliffside, and depending on what goes down with the characters she's currently interacting with, might not wind up getting there at all.

So yeah, waiting around isn't going to accomplish anything anytime soon, unfortunately. If you're intent on getting something out of Varim, you're going to have to try for a more direct approach. Either that, or find someone else to interact with.

Character:

Name: Drukann

Species: Skakdi

Gender: Male

Powers: Drukann is a Skakdi of Fire. He has impact vision and strength unmatched by most other residents of the wasteland.

Gear: Drukann has two brass knuckles which allow him to channel his fire powers, be it shooting fire out of his fists or imbuing his fists with fire when he punches someone.

Personal Aircraft: Irnakk's Inferno

Allegiance/Role: Cliffside, Mercenary for hire.

Appearance: Drukann is tall and buff, with a dark red main colour and a keetorange secondary colour. His chest armour is a dark bronze one, and his eyes are an electric blue colour.

Personality: Drukann has had his share of hardships, and as a result has become quite cynical of the world. He has little regard for the lives of others, and mostly just cares about getting paid so he can continue hid habit of drinking himself into a stupor. For him, every day is just yet another day in a line of days since the Battle of the Titans where his life turned for the worse, and the only upside is that if he's got coin, he can drown his sorrows in a bottle. When on an assignment, he's cold-blooded and ruthless, taking the most pragmatic approach to situations in order to carry out his assignment.

Bio: Gruff and life-worn, Drukann was among the soldiers who first stormed Bara-Magna during the battle of the titans. But when the battle turned out of their favour, namely when the rahkshi where neutralised and Makuta defeated, he broke rank and retreated from the battle, saving his own hide from any retribution their enemies would see fit to serve. Since then, he'd tried his best to make a living in the wasteland, defending himself from the various rahi and beasts that traversed this new inhospitable world, and generally trying his best to not die. Eventually, he managed to get a hold of a Jetrax after murdering its pilot and taking the craft for himself. Since then, he's customised it to his liking. Nowadays, he's a mercenary for hire, mostly hanging around at Cliffside, drinking and brawling with its residents.

Aircraft:

Name: Irnakk's Inferno

Model: Jetrax

Weaponry: Two rapid fire bolt launchers imbued with lingering flame. One force cannon that has a stun effect.

Customisation: The craft has greatly increased armour strength, allowing it to physically collide with other craft without much damage to itself.

Appearance: The Jetrax is blood red with orange flame patterns. There are plenty of gunmetal spikes sticking out of both strategic locations for ramming other vehicles, as well as in locations that increase its intimidation factor.

Name: Vin Halett

Species: Pridak’s species

Gender: Male

Powers: As is natural for his species, Vin possesses enhanced agility and strength, though nothing that would put a Kakama or Pakari wielder to shame. He’s also developed fantastic reflexes over his lifetime.

Gear: Vin wears a Volitak alongside a small brown rucksack where he keeps most of his possessions, including binoculars. He also keeps a protosteel wakizashi sheathed at his hip, and a pouch of throwing knives strapped to his belt.

Personal Aircraft: The Lady Specter

Allegiance/Role: New Atero / Roguish Courier

Appearance: Vin’s a tall, handsome young man armed with a dangerous smile and a set of piercing blue eyes. Built for parkour, his wiry physique packs a fair amount of lean muscle, and while he might tiptoe near the thin side of the line, it’d be a mistake to think of him as weak or fragile. He stands roughly a head taller than the average Toa, and his armour boasts a colour scheme of white and black complimented by flecks of red on his face and digits.

Personality: Vin’s just another free spirit looking to have some fun on the road to survival. He doesn’t take life as seriously as he should and he knows it, a trait which often lands him into trouble, though it’s this devil-may-care attitude that accounts for most of his charm. The rest can be attributed to his cunning wit and silver tongue, both representative of a sharper mind than he lets on about. Very few realize that there’s some method to his madness, an underrated genius to his unpredictability. While he’s certainly no saint, he has shown to be a decent person with a good heart behind all the blunt sarcasm and questionable judgement calls.

Bio: No one really knows what Vin was up to before he became a courier for New Atero, though there’s been some vague mention of thieving, bounty hunting, breaking young hearts worldwide, and turning one of Cliffside's bars into a smoldering crater. Each new rumour’s more outlandish than the last, and he’s usually pretty content with letting them slide since they rarely ever catch up to him in the public eye. A good deal true however, and his full resume (if you can find it) is nothing short of impressive. Most notably, he used to run as first mate to a pirate crew for the longest time, all the way up until they perished on one of their treasure hunts in Aqua Magna. Nowadays, he tries to get by through honest work, though he’s not sure how long it’ll last before he goes off looking for adventure again.

Personal Aircraft: The Lady Specter

Model: Jetrax

Weapons: Two zamor launchers on each wing which fire corrosive spheres, and kanoka launcher which fires weaken discs. The corrosive spheres aren't incredibly potent on their own, however they have the potential to become real heavy hitters when pitted against targets struck by a weaken disc.

Customization: True to her name, the Lady Specter’s a ghost in the desert. She flies swiftly and silently thanks to a pair of mufflers equipped on both engines, which serve to dampen their roar while also reducing the amount of fire they produce. This means that from afar, The Lady Specter’s incredibly difficult to hear and maybe a little less to see; only up close can you actually get an earful of her raspy groan, or the diminished glare from her engines.

Appearance: For an aircraft, The Lady Specter’s as pretty as they get. Sleek and polished, her streamlined frame is clad in hues of black and gunmetal grey that allow her to effortlessly blend into the night or areas like the Black Spike Mountains. As Vin’s one true love, he runs the full gamut when it comes to caring for her, meaning he’ll always go the extra mile to keep her in pristine condition and up to speed with newer models.

CHARACTER

Name : Ezezko

Species : Po-Matoran

Gender : Male

Powers : Naturally talented at stone shaping and athletics like most stone elementals

Gear : Noble Hau; Backpack full of tools for quick repairs to his aircraft; collapsable crossbow and three bolts for it; Protosteel sabre with the unique ability to absorb either electrical or heat generating elemental attacks and superheat the blade in the process. When superheated the handle and guard are relatively safe to hold, but the blade is exactly as dangerous (to both user and foe) as one would expect. One "charge" lasts approximately one minute

Personal Aircraft : For Hire

Allegiance/Role : Originally from Tesara, currently has no strong ties there. Nominally considered an odd jobber

Appearance : Fairly sizable and jacked for a matoran, his body and mask are speckled in the camouflage of the desert. Rocky greys and sandy browns with a dash or two of rusty orange twinkling in the form of a mismatched piece of armor or three

Personality : Ezezko carries himself with a carefully cultivated grace and an aire of lithe coolness, like a cowboy-quarterback-minstrel-playboy amalgamation. Both traits, are of course, completely false. He puts on the mask because it works a lot better than showing his true colors as a bitter and chronically backstabbing loser. He isn't a cuddly pitiable loser either and really really hates that character trope

Bio : Perennially down trodden and unlucky, Ez comes from a background of failure, poverty and exile. All he really wants in life is absolute power and wealth, which is normal, right? Travels the great wastes taking whatever work comes his way and doing as little of it as possible while still pocketing the payment. This behavior hasn't earned him many friends in life

AIRCRAFT

Name : For Hire

Model: Jetrax T6

Weaponry : Two completely vanilla Skyblasters, one mounted on either wing

Customisation : Possesses a set of thrusters that allow for vertical take off and complex horizontal maneuvering in the air like the hybrid child of a helicopter and harrier jet. Also equipped with a set of rear view mirrors that remove the obscuring effects of weather, smoke, etc in their reflection

Appearance : Stripped of paint and niceties, the somewhat nameless craft is identifiable solely by the large print in brilliant white on its starboard side stating/naming itself as "FOR HIRE"

Character:

Name: Sayana

Species: Vortixx

Gender: Female

Powers: Tremendous agility, and speed not far behind. Notable ability to make virtually no noise in certain conditions.

Gear: >Binoculars
>Twin Baselards with ever so slightly serrated blades.

>A modified Lightstone Rifle. The detachable barrel extension includes two Speed Kanoka rails to further accelerate the projectile, and the stock is now detachable. As Lightstones are no longer functional, the electrical charge function is redundant, so the crystal track is no longer present and it is now used to fire sharp crystals. Includes a sling for ease of carrying.

>A small pack to keep things in, usually contains various bits and bobs.

Personal Aircraft: The Valati

Allegiance/Role: New Atero, no particular attachment to the place. Something of a mercenary, but more of a stealthy agent.

Appearance: Slim and sleek. Black armour with sporadic dark blue trim as detail. Lighter, nearly aqua blue eyes. Not especially muscular, but athletic and lean nonetheless.

Personality: Mostly concerned with herself and her own well-being, Sayana can come across in one of two ways, depending on her mood and any possible preexisting opinions of you: Cold and uninterested, or friendly and maybe even humorous. Doesn't say more than she feels is necessary and isn't necessarily against spilling information if a job goes south, if it means things go better for her.

Bio: Originating from Xia, Sayana still hasn't fully dropped the ways Vortixx lived there, although rather than filling in orders she usually found herself acting as a spy or committing corporate espionage. Still carrying the gun she used in those days, Sayana now lives alone, traveling from place to place, looking for jobs that might suit her hand.

Aircraft:

Name: The Valati

Model: Rockoh

Weaponry: Modified Zamor launcher. The Zamors, when launched, are a semi-solid material, and the high velocity they are fired at sharpens them into a javelin shortly before hardening, effectively making this a javelin gun. The shots are long and aerodynamic, giving them a respectable effective range, and are designed to spear enemy aircraft. Even if no internals are damaged in doing so(or at least seriously damaged) the added weight can weigh down a vehicle and make it unbalanced.

Customisation: Mechanically folding wings allowing the Valati to glide, and an armoured, semi-airtight cockpit.

Appearance: Oddly sleek for a Rockoh, the Valati primarily sports a dusty tan colour scheme, with only a couple gunmetal components visible. However, on the underside, the Valati is instead a slightly faded sky blue.

No idea.

Saffina was built and subsequently named around the time I received my Bionicle 2015 sets (winter wave, I think), so I'm assuming that it's just a very odd coincidence.

Meet the not-quite leader of New Atero.

Name: Hakkzan, AKA, “His Spikiness”.

Species: Ta-Skakdi.

Gender: Male.

Powers: control over the element of fire in conjunction with another Skakdi, impact vision, and a special tertiary power that allows him to utilise the kinetic energy of blows and impacts to his own body to temporarily increase his physical size.

Gear: Due to a mutation or infection of unclear origin, his body is encrusted with spiky growths of bone, making him a nightmare in close combat, but also making sitting or lying down quite uncomfortable for him.

Personal Aircraft: none.

Allegiance/Role: Alleged leader of New Atero. The citizenry, the military and indeed, Hakkzan himself, believe him to be the settlement’s authoritarian ruler, and everything New Atero does is carried out in his name. However, it’s Varim, and a select handful of others operating behind the scenes, who do the real work.

Appearance: Unarmoured, and with loose-fitting clothing, Hakkzan’s body is criss-crossed with scars. His spines are jagged and torn, and his eyes are a baleful yellow.

Personality: Although his growths cause him near-constant discomfort and pain, Hakkzan is quite a jovial and welcoming being. However, he is also ignorant and dismissive about the true state of affairs out in the Great Barren, and even within New Atero itself, preferring to lurk in the lap of luxury while his underlings feed him lies.

Bio: No one’s entirely sure who he is, or where he came from, only that after the previous government was overthrown by a band of disgruntled Bara Magnans, he somehow wound up on the throne. While this obviously didn’t make much sense to anyone, it’s undeniable that the quality of life for the citizens of New Atero improved drastically… even if the settlement became more militant and isolated as a result.

Why do all Skakdi names focus on K so much

I mean I know I'm guilty of it two, but this has been repeated like how many times?

Also are beaten-up/disfigured Skakdi also a thing? in the short, incredibly flimsy time I've been in the BZPRPG, I've counted five not counting mine

From BS01:

Most of them are either physically damaged, mentally deranged, or in some other way warped by Spiriah's experiment.

Yes, there are a good number of Skakdi that are physically damaged.

Also, the K letter seems very prevalent in Skakdi names, along with N. It's most likely people trying to make names that sound like what a Skakdi would be named based on the Skakdi from canon. It's like how people tend to try and name Matoran with Maori-sounding names, or Agori/Glatorian with Latin or Greek-sounding names.

Memoirs of the Dead entry: The Unknown Turaga, a tale from the late Chronicler Kodan's journal.

Strakk's Best Friend, the story of a confusing yet somehow canon friendship.

I considered giving Threiaa a k at the end, but ultimately decided against it. She's a new world Skakdi after all, doesn't need to follow any kind of rules set in the MU.

Name: Jira.

Species: Glatorian.

Gender: female.

Powers: An old implant, leftover from her service in the Core War, which supresses the effects of pain while she’s in combat.

Gear: A barbed trident, forged entirely from salvaged protosteel. Well-weighted for throwing, and able to be easily wielded with one hand or two.

Personal Aircraft: The Tesaran Breeze.

Allegiance/Role: Captain of the guard for the settlement of Tesara, she serves as the primary intermediary between the city’s ruling triumvirate of elders and the rest of the populace.

Appearance: Her armour is simple and streamlined, basic plating over chainmail, and coloured a soft sky blue, with dim gold highlights.

Personality: Jira has always had difficulty fitting in. She never truly felt like she belonged in the iron tribe, and was never able to bring herself to adopt the ideals of the water tribe during her time among them. She was a poor soldier, a sub-par Glatorian, and only now does she feel like she’s finally found her place in the world. She’s well respected by the people of Tesara, and entirely devoted to the protection of the settlement.

Bio: Once, long ago, Jira counted herself among the populace of the iron tribe. One of the few members of the warrior caste to survive the dreaming plague, she struck off on her own, forsaking the other’s ill-conceived scheme to change their blue/grey colouration to orange, and instead adding a deeper blue, and a touch of gold, to pass herself off as a member of the water tribe. The ruse worked, and she fought as one of their number over the course of the core war, and later as a Glatorian. Wounded during the destruction of Tajun, she was unable to aid in the fight against the Skrall or Makuta’s forces, and after the reformation, it took her many years to figure out her new path in life. Eventually, though, she found acceptance and accomplishment in Tesara, slowly working her way up through the ranks until she was appointed the role of captain.

Name: The Tesaran Breeze.

Model: Axalara.

Weaponry: A pair of core war era blasters, which launch simple metal spheres with explosive speed. The two weapons are hooked up to the same firing mechanism, meaning that both fire together. When necessary, the bomb bay can be filled with overripe Thornax fruit.

Customisation: The Breeze is equipped with an afterburner system that allows it to put on brief bursts of increased speed to aid in evasion and combat maneuverability.

Appearance: The ship remains largely unchanged from the original Axalara design, the only noteworthy addition being that it’s colouration has been changed to grey and dark blue, to honour the old Iron Tribe.

________________________________________________________________________

Name: Those Two Guards.

Species: Bo-Matoran.

Gender: Male.

Powers: Innate understanding of plant attributes.

Gear: Handcuffs, shortswords, and thornax launchers.

Personal Aircraft: none.

Allegiance/Role: Low-ranking guards in service of Tesara.

Appearance: Wholly uninteresting, unremarkable Bo-Matoran. Their bodies are differing shades of green, with blue highlights, and they both wear boring old Kanohi Haus.

Personality: The higher ranking of the pair has a tendency towards making bad jokes, and seizing any opportunity to steal credit. The second had little choice but to tolerate his superior’s shenanigans.

Bio: Their backstories are boring, for they have led boring lives. However, despite their low rank and lack of anything even remotely resembling real initiative or skill, they have a bizarre tendency to find themselves in just the right place, at just the right time, to get caught up in whatever craziness happens to be going on. Call it luck, call it coincidence, they just call it a day’s work.

Gender: Male.

Powers: Fast reflexes, nearly-perfect aim and lots of stamina. Has a habit of performing long and high jumps.

Gear: Headgear-a helmet with visors that cover his face. Has night vision.

Bio: In his early days, Katana travelled alone in the desert picking up food, water, equipment, allies and enemies. One day, he was taken in by an old wealthy Turaga in Tesara who offered him shelter. The Turaga shared his wisdom with Katana and gave him training, and treated him like his own son. Many passed and the Turaga passed away, leaving Katana with his wealth. Katana left Tesara and continued on as an outcast, ready for whatever adventure that may lie ahead.

Okay, there's a few things I wanted to bring up in regards to Katana. Firstly, jetpacks and skyfighters are designed for the smaller races - Matoran, Agori, Turaga, etc. They're not big or powerful enough to work for a Vortixx, so you'll need to rethink that aspect of the profile.

Powers: Fast reflexes, nearly-perfect aim and lots of stamina. Has a habit of performing long and high jumps.

I don't want to sound harsh, but I'm really not comfortable with the wording of this. Based on past experience with similar characters in other games I've played, characters who get described like this have a habit of turning out to be unrealistically brilliant fighters who are impossible to hit, and never get tired. Now, to be clear, I'm not trying to accuse you of anything, but I would ask that you try to reword this part to something a little more feasible. Characters should have strengths and weaknesses. They can't be skilled and perfect at everything.

Smoke bombs and shuriken he keeps in his utility belt.

Could you please give a rough indication as to how many of these he actually has. I'm not going to approve someone who has an infinite/unspecified arsenal of these sorts of things.

Personality: He keeps quite most of the time and tries to remain calm even during fights, but can become uncontrollable when fueled with anger.

Again, I really don't want to come across as rude, but this isn't much to go by. Right now, Katana feels like less of a person, and more just an amalgamation of common, ninja-related tropes. I'd like to see a little more in way of personality and characterisation before I'd be willing to give an approval.

Someday I will make a second character in this RPG who is not a reclusive nerd who sits in his house for weeks on end.

Memoirs of the Dead entry: The Unknown Turaga, a tale from the late Chronicler Kodan's journal.

Strakk's Best Friend, the story of a confusing yet somehow canon friendship.

Terrible Comics, a collection of comics that are terrible.

IC Maldrakk

Hakkzan was not by any means an unfamiliar sight to Maldrakk. He had worked extensively for him in the past, with varying success, but sometimes had to have his actions hushed up by Hakkzan, including the time he brutally bashed the head of a Matoran in for ranting expletives against the leader of New Atero in a back alley.

No. Just, no.

There's a few things here that need addressing. Firstly, Hakkzan wouldn't be a familiar sight. As I've mentioned a couple times, both IC and OOC, Varim and co. usually handle most of these meetings. Varim's away right now, which is more or less the only reason Hakkzan is meeting with you guys.

Secondly, New Atero is militant, and that's all. They're not oppressive, and they're not corrupt. If Maldrakk had beat some innocent civilian to death for exercising their freedom of speech, the government wouldn't have covered it up, they'd have executed him.

I'm okay with you playing Maldrakk as if he has some importance to those in power, but I want to make it very clear right now that he does not have special privileges, and he is most definitely not above the law.

Well, here we go on RPG number 2.  Hopefully this'll end better than Bionifight.

Character:

Name: Dedris Omekka

Species: Ta-Matoran

Gender: Male

Powers: Resistance to heat.  Also is a genius mechanic.

Gear: Protoscythe.  It's a scythe blade attached to a collapsible staff, with a mounting point to hold a disk launcher.  There's not much special about the scythe part, it's just a big, sharp curve of metal.  The launcher has a laser sight to help aiming and needs cocked after every shot.  When scythe and launcher are combined, he can swing the scythe to send the disk flying with extra power, or if he has no disk loaded, he can snatch his foe's disks out of the air.  This takes a lot of skill, however the laser sight helps guide his swings.  He also carries a toolbox, pack of protosteel disks, standard adventuring gear, but these stay in the Chieftain's saddlebags until needed.

Personal Aircraft: The Chieftain

Allegiance/Role: No real allegiance to any city.  Hails from Fe, however.  He's a mechanic who uses his flyer to zip out to crash sites and failing aircraft, fix what he can, and help people evacuate if necessary.

Appearance: 1 2 3

Personality: Dedris rarely works for money.  If anything, he'll take a few widgets to pay for a night at the local inn and a charge for the Chieftain.  If you really want to thank him, though, offer him some neat pieces of scrap.  He loves tinkering and is a genius with anything mechanical or electronic.  He worked as a Crafter on Metru Nui, a blacksmith on Mata Nui, and before the cataclysms, he studied in Fe as an engineer.  His Skyfighter, the Chieftain, started as a stock model from Fe, but over the years he's taken it apart and rebuilt it several times.  Even in the most destructive crashes, given some peace, time, and scrap he can rebuild the machine from a pile of wreckage.  He's eager to help people anywhere on Spherus Magna, anything he can do to help people survive another day in the wasteland it's become.  He has two dreams.  The first is to recover his memories of his life on Metru Nui.  The second is to one day upgrade the Chieftain far enough it becomes capable of space travel, then leave Spherus Magna and find a new world to call home.

Bio: Inbound

Aircraft:

Name: The Chieftain (Mk.1)

Model: Skyfighter

Weaponry: A crystal railgun.  Holds an overcharged lightstone between two electromagnetic rails on the underside of the craft.  When the trigger is pulled, a charge shoots down the rails, accelerating the lightstone to blistering speeds.  The crystal shatters on impact, releasing its energy in the form of a small electrical explosion.  Pros:  Very accurate, can stun aircraft.  Cons:  Takes a long time to reload, and the EM rails are powered by the same fuel that powers the flight mechanisms.  Overusing the railgun will deplete the fuel tank.

Customisation: A spring-loaded spool of cord underneath the seat.  Dedris will use this to tether himself to the Chieftain, or tie it to a failing aircraft and tow the pilot to safety.  The Chieftain also has a headlight for night flying, which Dedris has found useful for signaling Morse Code to other aircraft.

Appearance: 1 2 3

(Edits made as per the GM's request)

Finally done with the first version of the MOCs.  I tried to fix whatever else was wrong with the profiles (the megaphone, the soldering-iron hand), but there's one thing I'm confused on.  What power source do Skyfighters use?  Because right now I have the Chieftain as running on some sort of electrical energy (because the Chieftain and its railgun use the same fuel).  Is that fine?  And in case you're confused about the pictures, the wings fold down when it's parked and spread into the X-shape in flight.

So yeah, if you could look over the MOCs and the edits and see if they're to your liking, that'd be great.

(also, happy Thanksgiving everyone)

BS01 didn't really go into specifics on what sort of power source the Karda Nui vehicles ran off of, but for the sake of this game let's assume all of the aircraft use some combination of battery and fuel, similar to what modern cars do.

Now, the MOC's have brought something else to my attention, and that's the fact that Dedris appears not to be wearing a mask? His profile doesn't mention one, and I sincerely apologise for not noticing noticing that earlier, because I really don't enjoy holding up profiles like this. But, as it's an established fact that Matoran can't function without a mask, I'm going to need you to add that as well.

They [Matoran] are dependent upon the wearing of their powerless Kanohi, without which they will weaken and be rendered comatose after a prolonged period of time.

No, he's wearing a Kakama, but the only Kakamas I have are brown and burnt orange, so I just built a grey Kakama-looking head out of bricks.  That's what his ludicrously oversized cranium is supposed to be.

Alright. If you could just note the mask down in the equipment section or something, it should be good for approval.

Thank you. Consider Dedris and The Chieftain Approved

One thing before I edit my character's profile, can any of my characters be Glatorian?

Yes, Glatorian are a playable species. We have a couple of them already.

He chalked that one up to his long mental post it note of slights against him, real and imagined.

Dude I wish I had a mental post it note

Especially a long one

Okay, the real reason I'm quoting this is because there's quite literally nothing going on in this post. No return quip, no continued sentence, nothing. I'm not saying I want you to do everything so that everyone else wins, but this keeps us from doing anything at all, as it's entirely going on inside his mind.

He doesn't even have to say anything, just to show discomfort, or - well, basically anything. For all we know, he showed no sign of irritation or emotion and sat there without so much as moving a muscle.

Fe is quite lacking in the NPC department, so here's a couple to make up for it.

Name: Xaril

Species: Johmak’s species.

Gender: Male.

Powers: able to shatter his body into a cloud of crystals, in which form he can float on the breeze, and reform at a time of his choosing. Most of his possessions have been engineered to be able to dissolve along with him in this way.

Gear: A twilight blade, which he has extensive experience in using, and a handheld rhotuka launcher, which on impact applies a tracking effect to the target’s unique energy signature, allowing Xaril to sense what direction they’re in, no matter how far or fast they might try to run. However, this effect can only be applied to one being or object at a time.

Personal Aircraft: The Iron Fist of Fe.

Allegiance/Role: Reclamation Agent/Enforcer/Assassin/Spy for Fe. In general, he’s the scary guy who does all of their dirty work.

Appearance: Similar in appearance and proportions to a Vortixx, he’s dressed mostly in black, with hints of crimson on his armour.

Personality: Devoted to the secrecy of Fe and the protection of its technology, Xaril is the mouthpiece of The Council, serving as the face of their operation, and first point of call for those wishing to speak with, or convey a message to, Fe’s shadowy rulers. As he almost exclusively occupies the role of an instrument of The Council, little is known about Xaril’s own personality and goals, but it’s clear he knows little in the way of mercy and guilt, and is willing to go to extreme lengths to complete his objectives.

Bio: Nought but rumours exist of Xaril’s past. Some claim he was a member of the Order of Mata Nui, while others attest to his work as an operative on behalf of the Brotherhood of Makuta, and others still insist he was a Dark Hunter. Perhaps he was none of these things, but something worse. What is uncontested, is the fact that long before the fall of the Matoran Universe, he had made a living doing questionable things for questionable organisations, and that he has continued on in that line of work in service of Fe.

Name: The Iron Fist of Fe.

Model: Airship.

Weaponry: A veritable airborne battle station, the Iron Fist is outfitted with the most sophisticated technology that Fe’s formidable arsenal has to offer. The hull bristles with oversized skyblasters and heavy plasma cannons, a dozen of each in total positioned in recessed mounts spaced apart along the left, right, and rear of the vessel, with the front bare. In addition to its regular crew of Fe soldiers, the ship also carries a heavy contingent of small nektann drones, able to be deployed from hatches in the hull to administer repairs or repel boarders.

Appearance: The dictionary definition of unfriendly, the Iron Fist is painted almost entirely in a stark dark grey, and has the Matoran letters FE stencilled in black on the front. The vessel is, however, very slow; the cause and the compensation for the ship’s inability to evade or manoeuvre being the thickened armour plating bolted to its entire exterior, thicker up the front to compensate for the lack of forward-facing weaponry. While the vessel has room enough for its crew, and a small contingent of ground troops, most of its interior space is devoted to the storage of ammunition, extra fuel and propulsion propellant, meaning that an internal detonation inside the ship carries the potential to not only utterly annihilate the Iron Fist, but anything nearby as well.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Name: The Overseer.

Species: Takadox’s Species.

Gender: Female.

Powers: A limited hypnotic ability. Requires several moments of unbroken focus and eye contact to work. Obviously, Ce-elemental and other beings with mental shielding are able to resist this ability. Her Rhotuka serves to apply this power without need for the eye contact and focus, but the duration of its effects are limited as a result.

Gear: The Overseer possesses an impressive collection of staffs, some powerful, some purely sentimental, many unique. She has been seen wielding the Staff of Artakha on several occasions, but most often carries the Protodermis Staff that once belonged to The Shadowed One.

Personal Aircraft: none.

Allegiance/Role: High-ranking enforcer within Fe. While Xaril handles external threats, the Overseer manages internal affairs.

Appearance: A spindly, limber being clad in a carapace of icy blue armour, most of her form is hidden from view beneath a ragged black cloak. Her feet are bare, the sharp clicking of her clawed toes on the hard stone floor often announcing her approach. A deep, heavy cowl keeps her face largely hidden from view, only the luminescent red orbs of her eyes being clearly visible.

Personality: The Overseer is a quiet, cautious being, rarely betraying any emotion. Although opportunities to demonstrate her skills in combat are few and far between, she is rumoured to be an agile, skilled opponent. She is feared, even reviled, by most of Fe’s populace, and rightly so. She has a history of exacting creatively cruel punishments upon traitors and spies.

Bio: No one’s entirely sure where she came from, or what she did before pledging herself to Fe. She merely appeared one day during a riot in the mines, already bearing her staff and badge of office, single-handedly slaying the dozen or so rioters with almost gleeful ease. Since then, her tasks have been of a more interrogative nature, her hypnotic abilities and fondness for torture both proving immensely useful in this regard. Dozens of enemy spies and local dissenters have met their ends at their own hands, at her behest.

Now, just to be super clear, in regards to The Overseer's powers, I have no intention of hypnotising or mind controlling anyone's characters without express prior permission from the player in question. It's an ability that'll primarily be employed against other NPCs.

Whoo, get ready guys, this is a long one.

Name: TV(Tveke)

Species: Axonn’s Species

Gender: Male

Powers: Great strength, limited healing abilities, limited electrical/energy manipulation, extensive knowledge and skills in botany and hydroponics

Gear:

  • Spade, shovel, hand-held hoe, and other common gardening utensils;

  • Several maps and charts of Spherus Magna, constantly being updated and improved;

  • Durable sample vials and containers made of Exsidian;

  • Synthetic arm, powered by TV’s latent electrical/energy abilities. Allows him to focus his impaired energy blasts through it, essentially being an arm cannon. If it malfunctions or jams, he would not be able to fire energy blasts;

  • Shield, Exsidian skeleton with protosteel plating;

  • A (mostly) sound mind and sense of responsibility on his back

Personal Aircraft: Second Breath

Allegiance/Role: Spherus Magna, tactician/scientist

Appearance: The first thing you’d notice about TV is that his left arm is replaced by a prosthetic. It’s old, but with dutiful maintenance and upkeep it’s been able to survive much calamity. It’s even still got a slight shine to it. Where the prosthetic joins his body there is a large Pauldron, mounted to protect the joint. As for the rest of him, TV is grizzled, big, and thick. His muscles still bear scars from old wounds. His remaining arm his clad in brown, with a staunch green crest on his silver shoulder. A large brown waistcloth hangs down around his right leg, decorated with geometric patterns. The rest of him is predominantly a blue silver with brown and green edgings and markings.

Personality: Over the course of his life, TV has learned not to get too attached to anything. He makes an effort to distance himself from others as much as possible. As such, his preferred company are his plants. He adores the flora native to Bota Magna, and even if the forests and jungles have long since decayed, he has dedicated his time to scavenging and reviving any seeds or still-living plants he can.

Bio: In days long past, longer than some can remember, airships and commerce flowed freely between the islands of the Great Spirit Robot. As such, there were those who... took the opportunity that such high traffic of goods presented to them. Those who flew the skies with no law to guide them. Those who would board airships midflight, steal wares, and slaughter anyone who opposed them. Tveke, was one of them.

Charismatic, boisterous, and dangerous, Tveke piloted the Final Breath, a wicked airship that was small, fast, and dangerous, and steered by a crew much the same. It wasn’t long until his escapades went noticed by the Order of Mata Nui, and as his fortune and infamy grew, so did their concern. Finally, after successfully raiding a Xian weapons convoy, the order intervened. Tveke found himself in OOMN custody. Seeing his capabilities, he was offered the choice to serve the order, or be sent to prison. Naturally, he declined their offer. He’d soon come to regret that decision. He spent years in a solitary cell, no cellmates or even a window to the outside to keep him comany. Rapidly worn down and changed by the isolation, Tveke came to loathe the waking hours, and slept his time away.

Imagine his joy when the Order reunited him with his airship, and even a few of his crew. Tveke sat in the captain’s chair of his newly recristened Second Breath. The Order had a new purpose for him now. He and his crew set off into the sky, joining the fight against the Brotherhood of Makuta. Such opponents were not so helpless as the airships of time gone by, as Tveke soon learned. One by one, yet seemingly in a flash, his crew, new and old, were snuffed out by the Makuta. By the time the war was over, the Second Wind itself had hardly a breath in it, and only four crew, including Tveke, to it’s name. Even then, Teridax claimed his rule of the universe, and the airship found itself grounded, wounded and dying from the onslaught of it’s own world. Tveke found himself fighting alongside the Order once again, doing all he could to prevent the destruction of this people he wouldn’t have given a second thought to centuries ago. Still, those around him continued to perish. He suffered many hardships, including numerous energy weapon and absorption injuries, and a cave-in that cost him a limb. In time he found himself alone again, having neither hope for tomorrow or a left arm, wandering home. Home, of course, being the Second Breath.

Time continued to pass by in both an instant and a lifetime. The ship found its way into the sky, a sky that was much, much bigger than before. Going by TV at this point, Tveke found a strange solace in the beauty of the trees of Bota Magna. As they began to die, he set about committing himself to learning all he could of plants. Plantcare, greenhouses, hydroponics, biology, all manner of learning. Today, his ship lies in a corner of Tesara, nestled between the seen and unseen, where he gradually continues the one work that might bring him some degree of peace.

Name: Second Breath

Model: Airship

Weaponry: Rotating concussive pulse turrets located at the front, center, and back, eight in total. They can be controlled all at once from the bridge or individually at each pod.

Customization: Most of Second Breath’s Cargo space has been rededicated to hydroponics labs and green house space. Due to this, it’s really more of a glorified mobile garden, and hardly ever sees air time.

Several Portions of the upper shell are also made of durable transparent materials, to allow sunlight in. It's small size and strong engines do render it as a relatively fast airship though, provided it's in fair enough condition for flight.

Appearance: Second Breath is a smaller, sleeker build of an airship, allowing it to fit in smaller spaces and occupy more out-of-the-way spots. A weathered mural of flowers spiraling in the wind is printed on the side of it's worn silver surface.

-      Sword of a Skrall design, can be kept in a scabbard on her belt

-      Shield with New Atero emblem on the front, can be kept strapped to the arm or hooked on her back

-      Firework revolver, can be kept in a holster on her belt

Personal Aircraft: THESE Guns

Allegiance/Role: She resides in New Atero, and serves in the New Atero military.

Appearance: She’s very tall and bulky; not on the level of a true Leader Class Skrall, but taller than an Elite Skrall.

Personality: She takes immense pride in her muscles and if it weren’t a severe disadvantage to do so, she’d have her arms uncovered to show off her awesome biceps. She’s actually kind of happy with her life now, and is awfully chipper and friendly with other races for a Skrall. She cannot stand those that would leave others to suffer for their own benefit, and likes to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Bio: Armani was born with a genetic condition that caused her to express male Skrall Leader Class genes, despite being female. This meant she had lost any ability to use psionic abilities, but gained size, strength, and significant muscle mass. She found comfort with the other females, as though they were not entirely sure what to do with her, she was welcome with them.

As she got older, she managed to acquire some armour roughly her size and sneak out to train in physical combat with the males, as she did like to fight and strengthen her body. On one of these occasions, she and the other trainees were rushed from the city as the Baterra swept through their homes along with bright, all-consuming flame. She joined in the mass migration to the Wastelands of Bara Magna, and later learned that the rest of the females had been left to die to the Baterra.

At first, she blamed the other male Skrall for going along with such an absurd, monstrous plan. But, there was nowhere for her to escape to from them; a Skrall would not be welcome among the Glatorian, and the Wastes were certain death. She felt she had to continue the charade. Over time, she realised that it was not the fault of the entire population that fled the city; they were following orders. She instead shifted that resentment to Tuma, for ordering that horrid act. When she learned the Sisters of the Skrall were, in fact, alive, she was overjoyed. She promptly took the excuse of going on a Baterra hunt to seek them. They thought her allied with the very males who left them to die, and turned her away in shame. She returned to Roxtus, hurt beyond what she thought possible.

She followed along with the Skrall for years after that, until Tuma’s defeat at the hands of Mata Nui. She fled with the other Skrall in that embarrassing defeat, but decided to journey into the mountains to attempt reconciliation with the Sisters. She found them, powerless and angry and confused in the wake of something that turned the world on its head for everything they believed. She stayed with them, and when the planet started becoming unstable, she and the others headed into the villages.

From there, she joined the New Atero military. She was surprised and delighted that being a large and muscular female Skrall no longer mattered- in the wake of the world messing up, old feuds and hatred had to be buried. Some male Skrall show varying amounts of discomfort in her presence- she’s not quite a Leader Type, but is pretty darn close to one, so it’s debated how much standing she should have in that regard. She made her way up the ranks in the military and now serves as a decently ranking officer, defending her new home to the very best of her ability.

Aircraft:

Name: THESE Guns

Model: Rockoh

Weaponry: One Hagah Plasma Cannon aimed towards the front, nestled in the armour plates to prevent damage when ramming other ships.

Customisation: Extra armour plating to better its function as a battering ram and protect the pilot. This takes up two slots. That is how armoured this thing is. Also I assume it needs extra to protect the pilot if the plasma cannon blows up or something.

Appearance: The ship is black with red highlights, and has the symbol for New Atero stencilled into its sides. Comparisons have been made between it and a giant metal fist with how armoured it is.

I've been waiting to see if anyone would submit a Leader Class Skrall. I guess this sort of (?) counts. Anyway, as much as it pains me, Armani and (sigh) These Guns are Approved.
