Wiriamu
So what with the whole The Legend Continues thing, an interesting point has struck me about Bionicle G2: the whole Skull Spider plotline was never really resolved so far as what happened to those Okotoans who were taken over by the Skull Spiders. I mean, Island of Lost Masks talks about a whole village-minus Bingzak-getting taken over, but we never got any word on what happened to the inhabitants. Were they freed when the Lord of Skull Spiders bought it? Are they trapped somewhere on Okoto? Or was there some more sinister fate in store for them? The 1st Shadow
Well, sounds like you've got a good premise for a story to write, my friend. Since it was never really explained, perhaps you could take this opportunity to write it out as your own entry. 1 Quote ~Your friendly, neighborhood Shadow ~Credit for Avatar and Banner goes to NickonAquaMagna~
SPIRIT
Well in Escape From the Underworld, we learn that the Skull Spiders are actually servants of Makuta, as he is able to send one into Kulta's prison to free him even after the defeat of the Lord of Skull Spiders. We also see some Skull Spiders attack a few Okotans in Journey to One, so I assume they continued to be a menace until Makuta was defeated once and for all. RWallace
I always assumed that it was no longer a problem after the Lord of Skull Spiders was defeated, but SPIRIT provides an interesting point. Regardless, this gap you've discovered should make for an interesting story. I look forward to reading your take on it. One of the things I enjoyed most about "Battle for Spherus Magna" was the way you expanded the G1 story in a believable way, and yet still managed to surprise. (I know you ignore some of GregF's musings, but I've never been good at keeping track of the things he says outside of his published works.)
Pohaturon
What I came up with was, since the LoSS wasn't killed, merely beaten, it went into hiding and licked its wounds, but as a final insult to those who defeated it, it retained control over the victims and compelled them to either go to wherever he was hiding and provide him with sustenance/defense, or forced them into suicide. But both of those are themes far too dark for Lego. Quote Stone rocks Model Designer at The LEGO Group. Former contributor at New Elementary. My MOCs can be found on Flickr and Instagram. Yeah...plus, Revenge of the Skull Spiders indicated that the Spider Lord met a final fate when the Protectors brought the roof of his lair down on top of him and a sizeable portion of the Skull Spider army. Of course, even that novel failed to explain what had become of the various Okotans he had previously taken captive.
