I got to the finals with a story scrapped together in less than two hours with 70% of it cut in order to make the deadline.

Excuse me while I go catatonic from shock.  *faints*

It is not for us to decide the fate of angels.

Dominus Temporis, if you're out there, hit me up through one of my contacts.  I've been hoping to get back in touch for a long time now.  (Don't worry, I'm not gonna beg you to bring back MLWTB or something.  :P )

I finally got around to reading all entries tonight.  All these stories are really good, and I'm honored to be among them.  So much fun and creativity here... I'm glad we could have this contest, if only to see the awesome stories, MOCs, and art that everyone is capable of creating.  Good luck all!

With respect to all of the finalists, I decided on The End of Time, SkullKid's submission, after reading a little bit of all of these. His was on of the ones that I was seriously invested in reading due to the level of thrills and the intense nature of the stakes, especially after that twist at the end. Clinging to the Bones was also fantastic, and frankly makes me wish that I could vote for two. Freaky story.

I'm still pleasantly surprised that Gresh - Gladiator of Jungle made it to the finals, despite not being particularly well-written or well-polished due to my tight schedule.  Thank you so much to everyone who had voted for it!  I really appreciate your support!

As for me? After much thought (there were plenty of fantastic entries in this contest), I ultimately cast my vote for Clinging to the Bones.  In keeping with the theme of the contest, it told a story that I would have loved to have seen in Gen 2... you could probably figure that out, given that the same subject matter was tackled in my own entry.  It also has the benefits of being able to fit right into Gen 2 canon without any glaring contradictions, and can stand on its own without having to connect to Gen 1.

Best of luck to everyone!

Man, wish I had heard about this contest before, well, today. Oh well. That said, these entries are great! I ended up going for #4, A Simpler Time, because, well, it gave the Toa something to do other than the regular heroics. They're just normal, everyday people, who have goals and dreams, and I really appreciated that. It's a nice piece of character building that wasn't really present in G2. So yeah. And good luck to all the contestants!
