Topic to share the past misconceptions you had about Bionicle.

My two first Bionicle were Kopaka Nuva and Nuvhok Kal. I was pretty young and not as invested in the story as I am today, so I found the Bohrok Kal so cute I went in and assumed they were the goods guys while the Toa Nuva were villains who were after them.

That Sidorak had lost faith in Makuta and gone rogue. In reality, he was still following the Brotherhood’s war plan, he just thought he’d live it up in Metru Nui for a while while the boss wasn’t around.

That the Stars would be a good series of sets to end Bionicle with.

I also misunderstood Nokama’s line in Island of Doom: “Then must not the universe die with him?“ I remember that I originally read it as “Then let not the universe die with him,” meaning that the universe would go on without Mata Nui, but they still had to save him because it was their duty. It wasn’t until Greg said on here that the world would literally end if Mata Nui died did I realize just how dire the mission was.

That all the Toa teams were the same people (Toa Mata/Nuva) and that Makuta Vamprah was a female.
