Umarakthefan
I have theory that the villain that planned the breakout seduced von ness to the villain side and gave him the black hole staff (that would be used for the breakout). It could also explain why the drone was sent to new stellac city. the villain had set it up to kill stormer and thresher. He instructed von ness to leave the battlezone and join the evil side. The reason why he choose von ness because of those following reasons: 1. Von Ness was a very emotional target and those are the best to manipulate. 2. Von Ness used to be a hero and could have provided insider information 3. He could have been a spy but since the new stellac plot failed, it didnt work out. Now the question is how he was able to manipulate von ness. He could have told him lies about stormers and the HF. This could also explain why he has a grudge against stormer. This is actually a great theory. My theory was (in an older topic) that the Dark Maker was an alternate reality version of Black Phantom (hence his design in Brain Attack) and was a master of creating stuff (according to some LEGO.com lore, Black Phantom creates all of his equipment, i.e. his Arachnix drones, Voltomace etc.). One day, however, his planet was attacked by Brains (the ones from Mirror World) and the Heroes just give up (sorta like the one alternate reality). DM, after all the damage is done, scavenges his planet for parts and builds a vortex machine that sends him to a different universe. He's now filled with rage against the Heroes and begins creating Brains and doing stuff to destroy them. Each time, he creates a new vortex to go to a new reality and wreak more havoc. Then he gets to the prime world. The real HF. He begins his journey long ago, which is where your theory comes into play. Stuff happens, bla bla, DM contacts Black Phantom (he would trust himself, duh), BP contacts Voltix and the Breakout happens. This would also explain how Voltix knows how to destroy the BHO Staff. TL;DR Your theory just works.

Dark Maker could have created most of the villains we saw in the hero factory universe. While some villains like fire lord, von nebula, toxic reapa have a backstory. Some dont (Voltix, speeda demon, splitface). He could have created a lot of the villains in the HF universe to be mercenaries. Xplode, Thunder, Rotor, corroder and meltdown act like mercaneries very much. Dark Maker maybe has some sort of rivalry with Mr Makuro and wants to be the Hero Manufacturer nr1 instead. While Makuro is the nr1 DM builts mercenaries and sells them to crime lords. DM and von nebula maybe have darth vader-palpatine relationship.
Lenny7092
The Brain Maker would explain the giant drone attack, Von Nebula’s corruption, and Black Phantom’s raid in Hero Factory. Hadn’t thought about it, but good theory. 2 Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
