Bad animated films topic!

Hmm, that is a hard one, it’s been around half a decade since I’ve really watched films or television. I do remember deep disdain for the Shrek movies, though. And I did not personally enjoy the Frozen storyline/movie, but the animation, costumes and music were quite lovely.

What’s your favorite animated film?

Anyone who says Food Fight is a liar and they know it.

From wikipedia: Finally, in 2011, the film was auctioned for $2.5 million.[14] StoryArk investors had ultimately invoked a clause in their contract that allowed the Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, which had insured Foodfight!, to complete and release the film as inexpensively and quickly as possible.[13] Animator Ken Bailey stated that "The film was already ruined. They were just trying to salvage what they could."[15]

My apologies! Intended no insult, just not my personal preference.
Did the animated Snow White movie instill a lifelong fear of being around mirrors in the dark for anyone else? My brother and I never got over it.
I know this is off topic, but my brother and I literally fell in love with The Gruffallo and The Gruffallo’s Child  years ago. The animation style and story simplicity was just so relaxing.

Now that I think about it I, Pet Goat II was probably the worst/most personally disturbing animated film I’ve stumbled across. I wouldn’t recommend it, thought it highly unwholesome, not family-friendly and a very regrettable seven minute experience.:(

Where do you discover your favorite bad animated films? XD

What a site.

May I ask which film the cat-like-grinch-creature in your profile cover photo originated from?

Not bad film-related, but similar: My mom learned a new odd word, "groak" and told me to look it up without any context, because it reminded her of someone's behavior.  I apparently can't spell. Somehow discovered the existence of this magnificent creature. instead. Not sure how to feel about this. Specifically about how its teeth rest below the bill(?).

Definition my mom meant: "to stare at people who are eating in the hope that they will offer to share their food. Groak is a word that is both obscure and of somewhat fluid meaning."

something is going to kill me but I say the bionicle movies are quite bad

are they bad from like an actual filmmaking standpoint? sure. would i go back and watch them as an adult? absolutely not.

but then, their raison d'être was to entertain 8-year-olds (who were too young to have taste) and get them to beg their parents for more bionicle toys. and since 8-year-old me sure was entertained, and sure begged his parents for a lot of toys, i'd say that they achieved their intended purpose. and so, in a sense, aren't they good? they were made to do a job and they did it well.
