Toa Jaxus
As the title suggests, could the supposedly Le-Matoran Tamaru be a secretly deployed Av-Matoran from the Time skip or a Bo-Matoran who forgot his true nature after the whole Metru Nui debacle? Nato G
Anything could be possible... but what's your evidence for this theory? Mostly Tamaru's unusual fear of heights and lack of distaste for water point to either irregular brain patterns for Le-Matoran or he is another type of Matoran - most likely a Bo-Matoran or an Av-Matoran. Edit: Sorry I took so long to reply, I had some stuff going on in my life and I messed up the first post. Edited May 13 by Toa Jaxus
UnderscoreChronix
This is possible, along with Midak potentially being an Av-Matoran. I'm torn on the idea personally. Part of me thinks that'd be cool, but another part of me thinks it'd be more interesting for some Matoran to simply have uncommon traits and quirks like that regardless of their element. 1
Lava Rat
It's certainly an interesting idea, and could make for a fun bit of headcanon or some great fanfic/comic/game fodder; Bo-Matoran seems a touch more likely to me since he still seems pretty at-home in Le-Wahi. Of course, he could also just be a bit of an oddball, and it's not like there aren't other atypical Matoran of a given element. ... Might steal this idea for myself though, hehe. Greg confirmed that Takua was the only Av-Matoran in that population. More importantly, just because a Matoran is a little different than the norm, doesn't mean they MUST be a different type. I find this viewpoint problematic. Agreed, it'd be boring to systematize why some people are people instead of robots. Ignoring that the Bionicle characters are (sort of) robots, but that's incidental to how they function as characters. Another fun example: Marka. She's the only Ga-Matoran from that era who isn't just a fun free flower child water-lady. She's loud and impatient. It'd be so boring to just make her a disguised Av-Matoran. 1 Quote "You are an absolute in these uncertain times. Your past is forgotten, and your future is an empty book. (-Kopaka Toa of Ice-)
He's just different color variation just like Taipu, the Onu-Koro Matoran who was tan and had a black Ruru mask. What was more odd that lego was preferring the darker version of elemental colors like dark green, dark blue and dark red as main colors all until 2009 had Ackar and Stars Tahu? Why did they hate the bright versions of certain colors

Raph
i think it's just like in humans. Some people are afraid of the hights some dont. Same goes for Marka. Some people are quiet and patient, some dont. It's just thier traits to make them more alive and human like. After all, it would be boring to have all tohunga be the same. Just like people. 1 Quote http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JrMasterModelBuilder/SIGs/WeAreWaiting/wearewaiting.swf
