Hapori Tohu
Earlier this week The LEGO Group announced that they and Novo Nordisk had entered into a partnership with European Energy. The energy company will use renewable energy and biogenic carbon dioxide to produce e-methanol, which in turn will be used to produce polypropylene, polyethylene, and potentially other plastics to move away from fossil fuels. The LEGO Group already uses polyethylene derived from sugarcane in a majority of cases, but this agreement could potentially see polypropylene, the plastic used in minifigure weapons and accessories, switch to a sustainable source. The first batches of e-methanol won't be delivered until 2024, so don't expect this to happen overnight, but it's still a great step in the right direction for the planet.
