VanMOCs
We know that some key locations in Mata Nui island were named after the Toa Mangai. As of now, I can identify these relevant locations: Naho Bay: Named after Toa Naho, Toa Mangai of Water Motara Desert: Named after Toa Motara, Toa Mangai of Stone Marn Tunnel: Named after Toa Marn, Toa Mangai of Earth Lake Kanae: Named after Toa Kanae, Toa Mangai of Plantlife Mangai Volcano: Named after Toa Mangai team I assume we have no location named after Tuyet and Nidhiki because they are traitors. So I have two questions: Is there any specific reason why no location was named after Lhikan? I read somewhere that the Toa Metru, later Turaga, did not want the Matorans to know about what happened in Metru city so they avoided mentioning Lhikan's name directly, but I'm not sure why they named other locations the way they did. What are the names of the four Toa Mangai of Ice? I have searched up and down and could not find any clue, as if their names were hidden or never disclosed in the first place. If so, were they given names by fans later, or they are still a mystery till now? Thank you very much! (Pic from Lego official)

I've seen some of the other names used for fanon builds of the Mangai, but not necessarily for the elements you've listed here. I've also seen some of the other names from the map used for the Mangai instead. (Eg. the person who first suggested Naho as the Ga-Toa's name also suggested Tiro for the Po-Toa). Officially, none of the Mangai aside from Tuyet, Nidhiki, Lhikan, and Naho have been given names. It's also never been officially confirmed whether any of the other locations on Mata Nui were named after members of the Mangai. It's just as likely that they may have been named after friends of the Turaga Metru, or legendary figures from the Matoran Universe. (Eg. Mount Ihu is named after Nuju's mentor, and the Tren Krom break is named after an eldritch abomination). 32 minutes ago, VanMOCs said: Is there any specific reason why no location was named after Lhikan? In the real world, it's because 2004 was a prequel and they hadn't invented the character when they made the map of Mata Nui years earlier. In-story, it's because they made him a celebrity instead. Vakama and Nuju made up a story about a legendary lava surfer named Lhii as a way of commemorating him without giving away prequel plot points. 1 1 Quote Embers - A Bionicle Saga - Chapters/Review Ballads of the Bionicle - lore/character songs - Topic Class Is Out - A Farewell To Corpus Rahkshi - Chapters/Review BZPRPG Characters - Minnorak, Kain, T'harrak, Savis, Vazaria, Lash BZPRPG Mercenary Group - The Outsiders - Description - History - Base Ghosts Of Bara Magna - Ash Tribe - Precipere - Kehla, Somok, Skrall, Gayle, Avinus, Zha'ar

These names are what I have found after searching through a lot of fanmade wikis including bionicle fanon and biosector01 as well as relevant threads/topics. They are indeed likely made up, but they sound convincing enough that they still stay years after the series end. I should have worded this more carefully next time. But long story short, based on your answer, it appears that the names of the 7 remaining Toas in Mangai team were never revealed or canonized by Greg? That's basically what he's saying, yes. The only Toa Mangai with officially recognized names are Lhikan, Nidhiki, Tuyet and Naho. Those four are canon, the rest are solely headcanon. Also they'd already named two makeshift ships after him. 1 Quote BZPRPG Profile: Vesun. Subtlety is more powerful than strength.
