Ptah
Welcome back, This is a continuation of my series Ascent of Matoran. I derivation of the Ascent of Man picture. This week I'm hitting the matoran of Air, the Le-matoran. The fun part was building a matoran 2.0. I had to dig up my Bohrok sets for that one. Once I finish all six I'll compile them in one final topic. For now enjoy. Please add your comments below. Cambion
I believe the first photo needs to be deeplinked. It's currently not public. ;]
JPNML
nice job, the sizes of the matoran is cool, but is the matoran between Piruk and Kongu custom?
FrozenFlash
I like the growing size over time. It's really cool. My only complaint is that Piruk and the Matoran behind him are almost the same size but other than that, great job on this!
<Reverb>
Hey thanks Ptah for making the Air one next. I love this one a lot Ptah. It really captures the way how matoran "evolved". I believe the second one is custom so i really love that one. However those Dark Green feet don't look well with the rest of the lime green on that one. Again, I love the way you stuck to 6 evolution stage like the orignal one. Nice job on this one. ~Gravity
Ptah
Thanks for the love everyone. For those who asked, yes, the matoran 2.0 (Tamaru) is a custom job. Lego didn't make Le-matoran set. I used parts from Nidhiki, Lehvak Va, Lehvak and a rahkshi. On the subject of size, I tried to fix that, but Piruk is hunched over. The other Voya Nui shouldn't have the same problem. Taka Nuvia
Hehe, that's quite a clever idea. ^_^The size transition is very nice and flowing. What's interesting IMO is that it flows much better in the profile-view pic, though. For some reason Piruk appears much saller in the angular pic; maybe if you took the photo from a different angle it would be a tad bit better...... can't think of much more to say, apart from the fact that I really enjoyed this and would love to see more like it in the future ^^ Quote My art collection topic - updated!
