In my mind Neutral is always the way to start, then you can wait and find out who are the good guys and bad guys.
Why do you think there are good guys and bad guys? The factions all make it very clear what they believe in. It's up to you to decide which ideology you follow. To decide what defines your character.Or if they're a psychopath.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

Name: Jaron UnskiiSpecies: Toa of FireFaction: RebellionGender: MaleAppearance: Tall and noble, but with a permanent grin, showing his jokester nature. He has burnished golden armour over his red underarmour/skin. He appears rather similar to how Lhikan would, though he has quite a few more scars than the other Toa would ever have.Powers: Jaron is a Toa of Fire, and he also wields a Kanohi Hau, so that he may more easily block attacks. He is also skilled at the art of deception, able to appear as more of a neutral, or even good person than who he truly is, as well as being rather charismatic.Abilities: Jaron has trained extensively in swordplay, able to wield his dual swords very effectively, as well as being able to use those swords as a shield along with his gladius that he got during a brief stint as a slave. He also has trained his element, being able to control it exceptionally, though he is much more a fan of his swords than his element. And, when disarmed, he is rather proficient at hand-to-hand combat as well, using a style similar to Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.Weapons: Two large greatswords, similar to Lhikan's, that can form into a shield, though they have no flying ability, as well as a Gladius. As well, his element, and his hands and feet.Personality: He's a jokester, though he also likes to hide his various secrets. Always willing to lend a helping hand...so long as you can give him something in return.Biography: For many years, he was a slave to somebody high-ranking in the Vermillion Dragon. Nobody really knew about it, but it's true. He had been off one day, just working like normal, when this man came out, offered him a job. Jaron, not liking what he had then, accepted. Mistake number one. He walked off with the Dragon's man, off to that man's estate, and began to do work. Cooking, cleaning, you name it. He lived a rather good lifestyle, though, so that was all well.Later, another man thought he could use Jaron to help him. He came to Jaron with a job offer, and Jaron accepted. He went off to his original employer to resign. Mistake number two. This man, it seemed, did not like his people leaving him. A couple guards came out, shocking Jaron to unconsciousness and slapping a collar on his neck, forcing him to do menial work. However, Jaron soon started planning ways to get out, though he never let the guard know. Before, he had always been ambitious about joining the Toa Council, but with how things had turned out, his death being faked and quite a few other things, that wasn't the most likely. Still, eventually, he rallied some other slaves, starting an uprising. They managed to take out their guards, getting up to where the Dragon;s member was. Jaron pulled out the the man's own gladius, stabbing the man repeatedly, nearly ripping him apart with his teeth for the years of pain he had put Jaron through.Mistake number three.Soon, Jaron had many people in control of the Vermillion Dragon after him-his only recourse was to go to the Rebels, The Toa Council thought he was dead, after all, and join them. And, so, Rebel Mercenary life activated.

@ Grochi;Wait, what?First, you need a Faction section on the profile. The Toa Council is just Toa. In the islands far to the north, they have an actual Council. Which is like the Jedi Council. They're like Jedi. Only Toa. Pretty much everybody lives in the local council halls. They don't have servants. Or slaves. Overall, they're nice people. Lawful Good or Lawful Stupid for the most part. And how was a Toa of Fire a slave, anyways? He could just melt the collar off of his neck. This profile makes no sense to me what am I seeing who is this twenty seven?Oh, and the Rebels aren't stupid. Name: AlfonSpecies: Prime Species (Pridak)Gender: MaleMask: Volitak, Mask of Stealth (shaped like an Iden)Faction: Traders Guild (Neutral)Appearance: Tall, slim and muscular, Alfon's quite the handsome young man, possessing a gentle, quirky face with warm, playful white eyes. Not to mention the perfect teeth! His colouring is mainly white with blue as a secondary, its pattern appearing as if he had symmetrical blue stains on some parts of his body, mostly his joints, limbs and a good part of the center of his face. His armour is light and sleek for better maneuvaribility and a white scarf covers the lower half of his face, accompanied by a matching cloak.Equipment: Slung across his back is long blade with a wide flat side, mainly gunmetal grey with a white ripply line running along its egde. It's rather oddly shaped with a single sharp edge and its hilt wrapped in a bandage-like material (think Zangetsu from Bleach). It's lighter than it appears so he can wield it with one hand. Apart from that, a retractable blade is attached to his right wrist, a dagger rests at his side and a small pouch rests at his waist.Abilities and Traits: Along with the natural traits of his species (enhanced speed, agility, mask usage, strength), Alfon is very acrobatic and stealthy. His hand to hand combat isn't what you'd call great but it's up to par and he's ambidexterous. Despite being quite skilled with his sword, he prefers to take out his opponents before the battle could even begin and try to use the element of surprise to his advantage. Because of his heightened skill with his Kanohi, his Volitak's transparency is so good that it can come close to a Huna's pure invisibility while the sound dampening effect is improved. He's also quite reliable.Personality: As his appearance suggests, Alfon's the nice guy with charisma, always smiling, cracking jokes, not that they're any good, keeping the peace and just trying to have a good time. Although, he does possess a bit of a temper, being the brooding and vengeful type but keeping all his negative feelings bottled up and deceiving many with his outter shell. Laid-back as he is, Alfon's actually quite philosophical, smart and wise. Always whe will strive to become a better person and keep his emotions in check for his own sanity and the wellfare of others, putting others before himself. For Alfon, making friends with normal people is like counting to five however he may spout the wrong thing at the wrong time sometimes and he may get annoying with his wise cracks. Even when things have gone to pits, his charisma never fades completely.History: An adventurer and explorer at the core, being a petty merchant is just a little side job Alfon practices very rarely. For as long as he can remember, he's been scouring the region to discover the unknown, find treasure, unveil secrets and myths, solve puzzles, find the truth and the list goes on. Far from famous, he's quite popular with the locals and around town for his helpfulness with the odd job here and there, possessing quite a good reputation. Because of this, word of mouth about his good deeds and exploits travel to the point where he is called upon by those few who hear about him to help with whatever adventure they have planned.

Alright. Vermillion Dragon slave, then? I wanted to come up with a reason as to why he isn't with the Toa Council. :P Probably my ideas didn't flow as well as I had hoped....27? What? And I can imagine they would have collars that you couldn't melt. Toa of Water made a water collar...no, steam.Hmm.You just gave me another thing to try and create.

Character Name: Dralack IlluGender & Species: Male & VortixxPowers: While having no superhuman powers, Dralack has very quick reflexes, and is a skilled swordsman. He’s also highly intelligent and cunning.Equipment: A black top hat, along with a very luxurious dark-blue, fur trimmed cape. He also wields a dark, stained, mahogany walking stick, which, in reality, is a cane-sword.Appearance: Even for a Vortixx, Dralack is unusually tall and thin, resembling a skeleton. He owns two different collections of armour, one for formal occasions (pitch-black, with purple and silver accents) and one for work and casual wear (black and light tan, marked with numerous burns, scratches, markings and rust-spots).Faction: Yheyn Traders GuildPersonality: Lawful Neutral. Dralack is, to put it lightly, eccentric. He’s highly intelligent and cunning, and a shrewd businessman. While Illu often seems like an arrogant elitist, he still harbours feelings of genuine sympathy and compassion for those in real need, and is not above giving aid to them.Biography: Dralack began life as a lowly forger’s apprentice, with little real appreciation for his work. Even at a young age, he was skilled at his trade, making numerous inventions while his master was out drinking and gambling. These addictions were only a few of the factors that lead to Dralack’s forge going bankrupt. Both the Vortixx and his master were forced into poverty, where Dralack endured hardship after hardship trying to survive. Finally, his skill as an inventor paid off, and he was able to patent one of his creations, getting him enough money to escape his life of misery, as well as his master. After that success, more followed, until he managed to start his own shop, “Illu & co.”, a base for the purchase, repair and maintenance of any sort of mechanical device possible. Over the years, this business made Dralack a nice profit, allowing him a rather comfortable lifestyle.Character Name: Su’un KanadGender & Species: Male & Fire Trytan-Trytan: A sub-species of Toa, Trytans are roughly the same size as the aforementioned race, with each type (Fire Trytans, Water Trytans, etc.) having the ability to manipulate (not create) their respective elements.Trytans are capable of using Kanohi, although they are not vital to the beings’ functioning. Also, each type of Trytan have certain physical characteristics which are designed to ease their survival in their respective environments.Powers: Elemental manipulation of fire, as well as highly developed fighting ability, and quick reflexes.Equipment: Su’un is in possession of numerous farming implements (most of which are kept at his house). However, whenever venturing into cities, he usually brings either his hoe, or his scythe as protection. He also owns an ancient sword and shield from his days in the army, though he only takes those out for special occasions. Kanad also wears a Kanohi Kakama, mask of speed.Appearance: Su’un is a tall and thin, with varying shades of red armour. He’s often in the habit of wearing a wide-brimmed hat, as well when outside.Faction: Southern AlliancePersonality: Neutral Good. Su’un is generally quite friendly and out-going, who loves nothing more than friendly chat. He’s a good fighter, but tries to solve problems through diplomacy, rather than fists, as often as possible. His time in the Trytan Civil War have scarred him severely (though he tries to hide it), causing him to shun violence.Biography: Su’un began life as a botanist on the island of Tryta. He enjoyed his work, and had a good life there, until a rebel group attempted to stage a coup against the government. The ensuing struggles would ultimately culminate in a civil war, spanning the whole of Tryta.Su’un was drafted into the Trytan Military, where he fought valiantly for his people’s freedom. Unfortunately, despite his and his comrades best efforts, the rebellion eventually defeated them, taking control of the government, and either executing, enslaving or exiling any enemy combatants.Su’un was one of the lucky ones, who were banished from Tryta. Eventually, those who left managed to find their way to Yheyn, where they did their best to restart their lives. Kanad, using his experience as a botanist, started up a small farm, “Trytan Farms”, which has managed to earn him a steady(ish) income.Character Name: Doriana CalamGender & Species: Female & Toa of MagnetismPowers: Elemental control over magnetism, as well as above-average fighting ability.Equipment: Doriana wields a Kanohi Hau, mask of shielding, as well as a claymore. She usually wears a dark cloak, which obscures much of her face.Appearance: Doriana is a tall, well-muscled Toa, with black and dark purple armour. She wears a black cloak, which hides her face in shadow, though her almost perpetual scowl is still visible.Faction: Xankah OrderPersonality: Chaotic Good. Doriana is rough, tough, and doesn’t take prisoners. She believes in keeping the peace no matter the costs, and isn’t above killing enemies to do so. She seems to be in a constant state of anger and resentment, causing most sane beings to steer clear of her.Biography: Doriana was one of a few Toa brought in and trained on their home island to be protectors of the Matoran. For many years, she was quite successful at her job, managing to keep Matoran out of danger time and time again. However, her vision of peace and order soon became warped and distorted with time, turning her into something of a avenging angel, with no qualms over killing criminals if it meant serving justice.Eventually, her lack of restraint became unbearable, and she was banished from the island in shame. Now resentful and bitter, Doriana wandered the Universe for quite some time, trying to do good, but often causing more damage. She managed to make it to Yheyn, where the Toa was instantly drawn to the Xankah, whose principles matched her own.-Void

Character Name: KeranGender & Species: Male ToaPowers: Elemental power over Air; Kanohi Garai; expert freerunner and archer; skilled and agile melee combatantEquipment: Keran wields a transforming weapon; in its default state it is a stave with a glaive-like blade on either end, but at a simple mental command it transforms into a bow. He keeps a quiver of arrows loaded mostly with simple, wooden, iron-tipped arrows, but also a few made entirely of protodermic iron. Normally too heavy to fly, Keran launches these as much with his elemental powers as his bow, using the air to guide and propel them at incredible speeds to take down armored targets.Appearance: Keran is a tall, lean Toa with leaf-green armor and flesh in a lighter, almost cyan shade. His mask lacks the fin-like sides of a normal Garai and instead looks sleek and swept back, with a visor-like screen over each eye to keep the wind out. His armor is likewise streamlined and aerodynamic. Like most Toa he eschews extra armor in favor of sticking with what the Great Spirit gave him.Faction: Toa CouncilPersonality: Chaotic good. Keran is easygoing and friendly to most anyone he meets. Despite his skill in combat, he prefers to talk his way through a problem or, if that fails, jump over it. He can be cocky and restless, and only really feels at home when he has to balance (which, for him, is easy as breathing) or in places others might be nervous, such as rooftops, the decks of ships, in trees and so on.Biography: Keran’s life prior to being chosen as a Toa was remarkably similar to his life after, at least in how he chose to live it. On a small jungle island a few weeks’ travel north of Yheyn he was a leafrunner and scout for a village of Le-Matoran and, much like he does currently, would often take ‘extended breaks’ from his assigned duties to just run around in the jungle and see what he found. To date none of the senior Toa can fathom why he of all Matoran was chosen to join their ranks. While he displayed natural talent with the bow and an agility that made him well-suited to certain styles of combat, it is often felt he doesn’t take his responsibilities very seriously. Even he admits it’s probably true. A few, however, have noticed that his casual, friendly manner and peaceful approach make him an excellent diplomat. This is the primary reason he was sent to Yheyn in the first place, in the hopes that he could not only aid in settling some of the political instability of the region, but also learn something about responsibility while he’s there. So far, however, he’s mostly just been running around exploring.

I find any group that forces membership distasteful. I find myself wanting to draw up a bomb-throwing anarchist to try to take down such a group.Add me to the Toa Council-hater list. :P

You can't really compare it to the real world, because nobody in the real world has super-powerful elemental abilities that can destroy an entire island if left unchecked and untrained.Of course, over time, a certain Toa named Precentus realized that the Toa Councils rules about not killing people and the like were stopping some peoples lives from being saved, and took a more liberal interpretation of the Toa Code. The Xankah Order formed and had enough support. The Toa Council split in two.Unlike the Jedi vs. Sith, however, the Order didn't go into outright war, because that would lead to Matoran casualties and reduce the ability of Toa to do anything. They both work against any rogue Toa, because if they don't, it could lead to Dajon getting Nova Blasted or something like that. Dajon does not want to get Nova Blasted. I assume. It's an island, so it doesn't really talk. I think. I should know this stuff, being the GM....Oh what am I saying. You're supposed to hate the Toa Council because they're easy to hate. Lawful is an easy alignment to dislike. Evil can be fun, Chaotic is fun, and Good means you're the good guy. Neutral means you don't have to choose. So Lawful is the bad alignment for people.@ Vorex;Bio too short.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

So here are my characters as they stand now. Made in a hurry, yes, but I didn't have much left after I finally figured a potential hole in the "no Skakdi" limit.Oh, and I changed up the order of the profile feilds so that they make more sense when read start-to-finish. Here goes.Name: MalaGender: FemaleSpecies: Skakdi (see bio)Biography: Mala is a stranger to the Yehyn Seas, and indeed to this entire dimension. She comes from a timeline where Makuta Spiriah mutated the Skakdi with his viruses, but when he was brought to account at a Convocation of the Makuta, he was not merely banished for his treachery against the Brotherhood – he was killed by Teridax. The leader of the Brotherhood then ordered Krika and Gorast to go and pacify the Skakdi on Zakaz before their civil war spread too far.Even the presence of two Makuta, however, was not enough to halt the violence. Gorast was ambushed by a gang of Skakdi lead by Nektann and slain there, though the warlord also perished. Krika returned to Destral for reinforcements, but while he was away a lieutenant in Nektann’s forces seized power and mobilised many Skakdi to leave Zakaz and strike back at the Brotherhood with their newfound powers. Her army of barbarians attacked Stelt and reduced half of it to rubble before the Makuta’s own forces arrived in force and crushed the Skakdi army. Order of Mata Nui agents assisted in the battle, though they did not reveal themselves. They captured Mala and her right-hand Skakdi and Botar whisked them away to the pit. The suddenness of the damage to a major crossroads and hub of inter-island travel within the MU caused a second Great Disruption to the Great Spirit, though it was not as severe as the first. A team of toa had to retrieve the kanohi ignika and use it within Karda Nui.The Order did, however, see potential in her for their own uses. One who could muster and lead an army so quickly and with such devastating results could be a valuable asset. To stop her repeating the feat with the pit’s prisoners, Botar transported her and the other Skakdi to an alternate dimension, just as he did with Tuyet in the main universe, where she would wait for a summons from the Order, if it ever came. Eventually, however, she deceived the inhabitants and they escaped that dimension using its own technology. Trying to find their way back home (or at least to something close), they became stranded in the Waves of the South universe. Both Mala and her accomplice have since joined the Vermillion Dragon, but they are still searching for a way to bridge the gap between dimensions.(Just to cover all my bases, the time discrepancy can be explained by time flowing faster in some dimensions than others. For example, the Kingdom Universe was a few thousand years ahead of the main one by the time Takanuva got there. In all the above dimension-hopping, the two Skakdi managed to end up in a universe where the current time was earlier than the one they had left millenia ago.)Faction: Vermillion DragonPowers:

  • The element of Psionics (when used in conjunction with another Skakdi)
  • X-ray telescopic vision (just like Avak’s in canon)
  • The ability to control her own density (this can extend to smallish objects she carries, such as her weapons, though doing so is more difficult.

Equipment: Mala uses a long sword made of wood which was enchanted to make it as hard as steel (and a deep blue). She also carries a backpack of basic survival equipment around with her wherever she goes – which often comes in useful when hiding out from law enforcers around the Yheyn islands.Appearance: Mala has a dark blue spine, hands, feet, head and torso, with gold armour on her limbs and some of the spikes on her spine. She is slimmer than most other Skakdi, and has clawed hands and feet.Personality: Like other female Skakdi, Mala is more vicious and destructive than the males. She is ruthless in pursuit of her goals, and is willing to do anything or kill anyone to get them. She is a clever tactician and manipulator of her enemies. She makes decisions quickly and decisivelyName: KrokkGender: MaleSpecies: Skakdi (see bio)Biography: See Mala’s bio above – it’s essentially the same. Krokk was her right-hand Skakdi.Faction: Vermillion DragonPowers:

  • The element of plantlife (when used in conjunction with another Skakdi)
  • Lightning vision
  • Krokk’s third power is similar to Vezok’s. Namely, it gives him the ability to absorb the powers of any being in close proximity, store them, and then use them himself later on. He could only store a power for a few hours, but is capable of absorbing more than one power at once.

Equipment: Krokk can create weapons using his element. Most of the time, he uses a spiked mace and shield for melee combat. He has used his power over plants to make the wood as strong and hard as steel. He also carries a backpack of basic survival equipment around with her wherever she goes – which often comes in useful when hiding out from law enforcers around the Yheyn islands.Appearance: Krokk is a tall, predominantly green Skakdi with light brown parts on some parts of his limbs. His spine is interlaced with thorny vines that also run down his arms. This gives him a fierce, slightly ruffled appearance. His spine and face resemble Thok’s.In an effort to gain even greater control of his body, Krokk has replaced many of his metal parts over the millennia. They are now made of strong woods, which Krokk can bend to his will using elemental power.Personality: Krokk is a realistic and down-to-earth sort of Skakdi, who lives in the moment, rather than aspiring to grand futures or planning convoluted schemes. What he can do now, he does, and trusts the future to look after itself. He doesn’t take nonsense, prefering quick action in almost all situations. He is perseverant, and hard-working, seeing his tasks through to completion whenever he can.Name: PukenoGender: MaleSpecies: Krahka’s species (technically an intelligent rahi)Powers: Pukeno has the ability to take on the form and abilities of any creature he sees or has seen, and even combine forms, though doing so puts him under great strain.Equipment: Pukeno’s equipment mimics that of whoever’s form he is taking. It is not known whether this is an extension of his ability or a whether he possesses a special piece of equipment with this property.Appearance: Pukeno’s most common form (when interacting with other beings) is that of a tall, dark armoured Vortixx with a large axe. At other times, he has an inclination to take the forms of rahi, of which he has a vast knowledge.Faction: Neutral, but this is likely to change.Personality: Pukeno is aloof and rarely chooses to reveal himself to other beings. Rather, he has a strong connection with nature, and is often found spending his days diving deep in the ocean or communing with the jungles of Dajon. He has an extensive knowledge of all types of rahi, and often spends time in their shapes.Biography: Pukeno has been around the Yheyn area for just about as long as anyone can remember (not that anyone remembers him being there). He moves about often, though the closest thing he has to a home is in an underground chamber west of Sakrinil. Generally, he doesn’t participate in any of the major events on Yheyn unless he is somehow dragged into them. On the few occasions that that has happened, however, he will gladly stick by any friends he makes through thick and thin.Name: MalokGender: MaleSpecies: ToaPowers:

  • The element of iron
  • Illusions and shapeshifting through his great kanohi mahiki.

Equipment: Malok can make all kinds of equipment using his element, and is skilled in doing so. Normally, he carries a protosteel sword to protect himself.Appearance: Malok is a tall, heavily built toa in gold and grey armour, which he keeps in excellent condition. It would be a rare time when he was seen in public with a scratch on it, or when it did not gleam like the sun.Faction: Xankah Order, Yheyn Traders Guild.Biography: Malok own his own shop in Sakrinil – one where he sells and repairs armour and weapons. This allows him to be a member of the Traders Guild as well as the Xankah Order (so long as he provides his services cheaply to the latter). It isn’t a full time job for him, however. His shop hours can be rather unpredictable, as he will often leave to fight alongside other members of the Order or begin a mission of his own if he sees a need. In times like these, he trusts his neighbour, Turano, to watch his shop for him and keep it safe.Personality: Malok is normally cheerful in dealing with his customers, and is friendly to many within the city of Sikranil and beyond. This means that he keeps himself very well informed of goings on around Yheyn. What he has no patience for is beings abusing their power to take advantage of others. When he meets such beings, a very different side of him is revealed – hard as the iron he controls.

@ The Lorax;I already told two people (or more) that I'm not letting them travel from another dimension and I'm not going to start now. Krokk and Mala not approved.Pukeno not approved. It basically lets you have any elemental power you want.Malok [approved].-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

Allright then, I'll just go without Skakdi for this one. Back to the drawing board. Not quite: first he has to meet a character with that power and see it in action. That's the reason I had him isolated for so long - he doesn't have any powers to begin with.Ok, thanks.

@ The Lorax;Let me rephrase that. He has the potential to have more powers than anyone in the game.Or turn into a fusion of Aclaraung and a Toa or something with bizarre super powers.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

Oh dear. He would be capable of turning into an Aclaraung/Song hybrid.

I'm going to be out of the house for the next few hours. Just as a warning. :P

They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.

The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.

Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.

Come Tenno, you must join the war.

Well, for the moment, the Azure Thunder has the title "Largest Group of PCs".Which I find hilarious, because I kept mentioning it while the contest was running, and no one cared. Did it again, no one cared.Put up posters in-game, and then two new crew members within two hours. :P
