I've never been much of a fan of zombies. Never thought they were scary at all: slow, dumb, hands up in the air, etc. But then I started watching The Walking Dead a few weeks ago (and finished the first and second seasons). Gotta say, that definitely changes my opinion on zombies. The show isn't all that scary itself, but if it were real I would totally be freaking out. =P Still, the show is incredibly well done and very entertaining. I almost wish I hadn't started watching it so I wouldn't have so long of a wait until the next season.
Oh speaking of awesome TV shows I don't think I've ever mentioned Sherlock here. Now that is an awesome TV show. Definitely one of my all time favorites, and I hate the creators for only having three episodes a year (though considering they are all ~90 minutes each and so well done, that does make up for it). The old PBS series with Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes is also very good, as are the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (though I have unfortunately only read a few...definitely need to read more soon). I also have several short story collections written by various authors with "fanfiction" of Sherlock Holmes, which are also enjoyable.
And while I'm at it, the other TV shows I watch regularly: NCIS, Person of Interest, Hawaii 5-0, NCIS: Los Angeles, Criminal Minds, How I Met Your Mother, the Big Bang Theory, and occasionally CSI: NY or Miami.
