People make movies of everything, and nowadays, they make movies about real-life stuff within years of it happening. It used to be that you waited a while before someone made a movie based off of real events. So I wouldn't be surprised if the 2016 election was turned into a movie four years from now. Especially four years from now, because it just makes sense to make a political movie on an election year.
Anyway, it just hit me the other day that Robert Redford would be a good actor for playing Trump. He's about the right age. His face looks funny, and his hair looks funny, just like Trump. I see a correlation. I actually recently just found out two things about him; first, that he's retiring soon after he completes two more movies, and second, that he was in fact a Trump supporter. So he'd probably be willing to play Trump, and hopefully in one of his two movies before he retires.
As for Hillary Clinton, I've always thought that Meryl Streep looked a lot like her. And Meryl Streep can pretty much play anything. She also happens to have been a Hillary supporter during the election, so I think that she would be honored to play the part. Let's be honest, she'd probably also win an Oscar for it, because she's Meryl Streep. It would kind of be ironic, too, considering that she won her last Oscar playing Margaret Thatcher. But she's an amazingly versatile actress who's dedicated to doing every kind of character under the sun, so perhaps it wouldn't be ironic at all, but rather fitting.
Anyway, whatever Robert Redford does in his next two movies, I hope he gets an Oscar for it. I really liked him in All Is Lost, and I've wanted him to get due recognition ever since.
