Reflection On The Year 2010
Well, I can't say I am surprised that no one made use of my last entry at all. But then again, I expected as much from my lack of activity here and fact that I didn't really provided the reader much reason to want to comment.
So anyway, it appears that today is last day of 2010 and so I decided that I write up a little reflection on the year. And what an eventful year it was from the end of BIONICLE to signature guideline changes on BZPower. It was quite a mixture of good and bad for one year. But what year isn't like that?
Admittedly, the end of BIONICLE really wasn't that much of low point for me this year. As while I loved BIONICLE as much as a fan should, I thought the ending they provided in Journey's End, the Mata Nui Saga, and Comics illustrated end was fitting for the story and would allow us as fans to continue the story onward in fan created universes based on the BIONICLE Saga. It also did help lessen the blow that GregF did agree to continue the serials' stories of BIONICLE to at least tie up some of loose ends left over to provide us all with closure so to speak.
As for the end of the sets, I kind of wished that they did end them with a bigger bang than the Stars since I felt as a fan that it deserve more than six Matoran-Sized Action Figures. Although I am also thankful that they didn't because it did saved me some money in the long run (College ain't cheap, friends.). So it was kind of both disappointment and a relief at the same time. Tahu Stars was especially a disappointment for me since his Hau can't fit on the Olda or Metru Heads.
Outside the scope of BIONICLE, I got my first job in the year 2010, I graduated high school, and much more. It was very much a great year for me. Sure, it had its problems such as my computer crashing in November. But it was still was very much a good year and I hope for the best next year.
With that said, I shall end this with my New Year's Resolutions:
- Get a 2011 Hero Factory Set
- Get my Driver's License
- Figure out a way to attend BrickFair in the future
- Get better at MOCing
- Rejoin BZPRPG and be a more active and better RPer
- Run a Blog Contest based on bonesiii's Expanded Multiverse project
- Complete my research on the history of the RPG Forum
- Enter an RPG in a RPG Contest
- Return to writing epics and short stories
