season 2 started improving with 'beginnings' and ended on a high note

 

sure there were some nipicky things here and there but overall that was an excellent finale

 

haven't seen it? go watch it

 

 

when the dark avatar was beating raava and korra's past lives were vanishing one by one i almost stopped watching it was legitimately too intense for me and i was getting super emotional

 

also dark avatar v. light avatar bending fight was legit one of the coolest fights all series (including TLA imo)

I just sorta pretend everything before Beginnings, minus the Varrick scenes, doesn't exist.

 

This, except I pretend the Varrick stuff doesn't exist either because it all pretty much went nowhere relevant. I'm honestly not sure if the writers knew what their plot was until they reached 'Beginnings'

 

Overall a disappointing season that managed to become watchable with the final episodes.

I literally felt like I was being punched in the heart during that scene. I had a hard time sleeping after I saw it Saturday night, it was just so sad.

 

The moonslayer showing up was cool though, and the fact that the cloud-babies knew Iroh.
