Also, I'm fully cashed trained. How you like them apples?

I'm addicted to it. And this is what I've got to show for it. Currently freeing the Matoran slaves. And oh look they want to go to the other side of the island. That doesn't take too much time...

I love this game...

No entry today or yesterday. Work make brain mush. Also play too much VNOLG night before.

The Last Saskachewan Pirate - Tractor Jack

Music
Here's a special song for International Speak Like a Pirate Day.
IPB Image
(blame Schizo)

Well, I used to be a farmer and I made a living fine
I had a little stretch of land along the C. P. line
But times got tough, and though I tried, the money wasn't there
The bankers came and took my land and told me, "Fair is fair"

I looked for every kind of job, the answer always no
"Hire you now?" they'd always laugh, "We just let twenty go!" (Ha ha!)
The government, they promised me a measly little sum
But I've got too much pride to end up just another bum

Then I thought, who gives a curse if all the jobs are gone
I'm gonna be a pirate on the river Saskatchewan! (Arr!)

And it's a heave (ho!) hi (ho!), coming down the plains
Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains
And it's a ho (hey!) hi (hey!), farmers bar yer doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores

Well, you'd think the local farmers would know that I'm at large
But just the other day I found an unprotected barge
I snuck up right behind them and they were none the wiser
I rammed the ship and sank it and I stole the fertilizer

Bridge outside of Moose Jaw spans a mighty river
Farmers cross in so much fear, their stomach's are a-quiver
'Cause they know that Captain Tractor's hiding in the bay
I'll jump the bridge, and knock 'em cold, and sail off with their hay

And it's a heave (ho!) hi (ho!), coming down the plains
Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains
And it's a ho (hey!) hi (hey!), farmers bar yer doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores

Well, Mountie Bob he chased me, he was always at my throat
He'd follow on the shoreline 'cause he didn't own a boat
But the cutbacks were a-comin' and the Mountie lost his job
So now he's sailing with me and we call him Salty Bob

A swingin' sword, a skull-and-bones, and pleasant company
I never pay my income tax and screw the GST (Screw it!)
Prince Albert down to Saskatoon, the terror of the sea
If you wanna reach the co-op, boy, you gotta get by me! (Arr!)

And it's a heave (ho!) hi (ho!), coming down the plains
Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains
And it's a ho (hey!) hi (hey!), farmers bar yer doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores

Well, the pirate life's appealing but you don't just find it here
I hear in north Alberta there's a band of buccaneers
They roam the Athabasca from Smith to Fort MacKay
And you're gonna lose your Stetson if you have to pass their way

Well, winter is a-comin' and a chill is in the breeze
My pirate days are over once the river starts to freeze
I'll be back in springtime, but now I've got to go
I hear there's lots of plunderin' down in New Mexico

And it's a heave (ho!) hi (ho!), coming down the plains
Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains
And it's a ho (hey!) hi (hey!), farmers bar yer doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores

When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores!
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina's mighty shores!
Harr har har harr.

Work, Ambivalence And Full Metal Alchemist

Posted by Makaru , Sep 18 2006 · 46 views
Work
Ugh. Yesterday had to be the most ambivalent day at work thus far.

We've closed down four of the pumps to Self-Serve (with big flourescent signs 'n everything), but people are still expecting full serve, and thus we still have to deliver it to some degree. If you can't reed giant pink letters, you deserve to sit and stew in your own anger for a while.

I started training for cash. It's awesome and surprisingly easy. But I discovered that upon my first official cash shift, the only one there to assist me is our manager, who I've decided to here-on-out refer to as 'Halitosis'. Google it. You might get a giggle or two.

I'm pretty sure I'm about as good as it gets to dispensing Propane. And I managed to sell a couple hundred pounds, as well as push about 5 new canisters. But one lady comes in with a 20 year old propane tank (I'm not allowed to fill ones over 10 years old), and it turns out some bumblehead from OUR STORE gave it to her two years ago on a trade-in. And I get the earfull because I'm convenient, despite having the perfect alibi. I didn't even know the chemical composition for propane 2 years ago, let alone know how to dispense it.

Also, the day was a startlingly beautiful day despite the last four rainy days we had. Which was a great change to having to work soggyand groggy. But this morning it was colder than all the days combined, and I think I have a cold. Again. Ugh.

So I don't know whether to be glad for the good stuff at work, or peeved at the nonesense that did. All in all, I was very confused. Until I stopped at Wal*Mart and picked up Arsenal of Megadeth, Full Metal Alchemist (Conqueror of Shambala) and my second Nuparu. And I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the rest of the Inika soon, as well as a second Hewkii. And when I do, I'll be posting a MOC I've been fiddling around with for a while.

And as for Conqueror of Shambala, I was quite impressed. Definately a worthy end to the series (though it was meant to be a stand alone film). I was on edge for the whole thing, despite having only seen half of the show so far. However, I wasn't too keen on the ending, with certain folk being split up, but that's just me. Otherwise, I'll be watching it again soon.

Now if you don't mind, my last day of a 7 day work period awaits me. And after that, Arsenal of Megadeth.
