News and Updates
When I got home from school on the afternoon of September 11, 2001, I watched the news until I got sick. It probably would've been better if they had just aired cartoons instead, but there was just so much to show. It really was quite a shock.
Five years later, I'm still advancing through life, trying to do well in School, Scouts, and on BZP. But the events of 9-11 still send chills through me. I won't forget the events that happened on that day. I would like to honor those who lost their lives on that day.
As well, I also remember the people in the armed services who are fighting to protect our freedom. I may not completely agree with some of the foreign involvement, but all the soldiers out there, fighting against the terrorists, still deserve our gratitude. I will remember and honor them too.
Since 9-11, there have been other attacks in Spain and England. I hope that we, as a world, can prevail against the terrorists and find peace. Maybe it's an unrealistic goal, but we might as well shoot for something.
