I've got about 50 seconds completed of my 5th GarageBand song, and I think I'll give you a link to it...
Enjoy.
Please be sure to tell me what you think.

Ok, so I wanted to make Samus' Arm Cannon out of BIONICLE pieces, but I failed miserably. Why? Because I wanted it to transform to each of its four possible weapons. I then went to System pieces, and had more luck. Here's the result:
Closeups of each weapon configuration:
Power Beam
Wave Beam/Light Beam
Ice Beam/Dark Beam
Plasma Beam/Annihilator Beam
It was still quite challenging, but I hope you like it. How does it look? Need any improvements?

The Observatory Contest 2 entry deadline is just under a week away. I hope as many of you can enter it as possible! The contest entry will be bumped to the top of my blog sometime soon, so that you can find it more easily.
Also a reminder, there was no MOCotW yesterday (as was stated on nathan8472.com), but there will be one next Sunday.
I apologize for my incredibly long absence from my blog, but I haven't had the chance to update it in a very long time (with vacation and whatnot). I'm
Well, I very luckily got the opportunity to get to a computer with internet right now. I can't stay on or more than a half hour, but it's great to be back to BZP again. Our lodge is awesome (elevation 5,643 feet) and sits at the top of a small mountain. We've been to Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse memorial, two Mini-Golf Courses, Prince Caspian, and just about everywhere else in this area. I'm enjoying myself quite a bit too. Oh, I've already taken over 200 pictures, and I expect many mor
So I'm leaving tomorrow morning to South Dakota for our family vacation. I'll be gone for 5 days, and I don't think I'll be able to get to a computer at all during that time. I hate being away from BZPower for that long, but I don't have much of a choice.
May I remind all of you of this pretty little thing here. I'd be overjoyed if as many of you entered as possible.
I'll be back on Friday.
I'll miss you all!

PS: New banner and av combo.
This is a question I've thought about for a long time. I've paid more money for the 350 songs in my iTunes than most of my friends have spent on their 5000+ songs. It's painfully easy to steal songs off of the internet or from friends, and the mentality of us humans is; "Hey, why should I spend $11 on that album when I can get it from *insert name here* for free?".
Places such as iTunes make all of their (bought and downloaded) songs copy protected, which is a good step in preventing the st
It seems like a good idea, so I'll help all of you win MOCotW by telling you many of the things I'm looking for when I pick am MOC of the Week winner. These are in no particular order.
1. Custom - The more custom your creation is, the better. Custom MOCs really show the skill of the MOCer. Still, you have to make the customness work. A custom MOC that doesn't look the greatest will lose to a non-custom MOC that looks awesome.
2. Name - Yep, as small as it may seem, a good name is act
Ok, first off, I'll say that you should still put any questions about the contest itself in the official contest blog entry (right below this one). Questions on the prizes and voting can be placed here.
Prizes
1st - Banner and/or blog award stating that you took first! Special mention on the MOCotW page on nathan8472.com! Kanoka Disk of Time (yes, a real one)! 1 Banner and 1 Avatar of choice hosted at nathan8472.com (no brickshelf or maj downtime)!
2nd - Banner and/or blog award stati
Yet again, Sunday comes and along with it is the MOCotW contest. Because of how busy it can get running a Blog-Based Contest, MOCotW will run for two more weeks after this one. Once voting gets started, I'll become quite busy. Also, I'm going to be gone the last week and a half of June. Therefore, there will be no MOCotW during the month of June. Anyway, if you're wondering who won this week's MOC of the Week, I encourage you to check it out!

On nathan8472.com? Yes, and I think it's an awesome idea. Starting with my next banner and avatar combo, I think I'll be hosting my images on my own site. The best part is that there'll be no maj or brickshelf downtime. Maybe I'll even host some images for other people. *gets lots of ideas*

My parents aren't letting me on the computer at all today, so I can't do MOC of the Week. They're downstairs right now and I have just sneaked on (as I did once earlier today too) for a moment. MOC of the Week will be posted tomorrow.

The Astronomy section of nathan8472.com will be getting a huge update in the next few days, including lots of stuff I think you'd all enjoy checking out. I'm drawing a blank with other things to add to the site, so if you have ideas, I'd love to hear them. Also, I finished editing my third GarageBand song, and it has been thoroughly completed. Work on the fourth song has begun.
I haven't had a PM in almost a week, and that's quite surprising for me. I usually get one or two a day.

My Computer Applications class toured the KXMB TV station today and we got to watch the 12:00 news live from inside the same room as they were videotaping. Afterwards, we got to see how the greenscreen worked for weather, and while we were messing around with it, the cameraman was actually recording tape (off the air, of course). Then, tonight, at 6:00, I watched the news and just before the weather part, they played part of the recorded tape and mentioned how our class had toured the facility
But typical Google, lowering quality of the video by leaps and bounds. *rolls eyes*
But here it is anyway.
Aside from Google Video's lack of quality, do you like it?

Remember that old Windows 95 game called Hover? Where you're in this floating vehicle playing capture the flag against other vehicles? I used to love that game. Still do, actually. I found it on the internet and downloaded it.
Old games rock.
