Regarding Diacritics
I've given up on using them in my writing system (con-script?) for the most part. Maybe at some point... mayyybeee....
In the process of exploring the idea, though, I came up with several more letterforms I liked and have decided to (instead of using diacritics for vowels) simply revise my script to get rid of the letters that require you to lift the pen more than once. Basically I'm revising for laziness. The only reason I didn't try and make them all letters that don't require any lifts would be my inability to come up with a sufficient amount of visibly distinct letters without introducing curves, and I wanted to preserve the semi-runic aesthetic.
I like the new script pretty much just as much as I like the old one. Both of those say "The foxfire burning in his heart is the light of a [heck] darker than black." I have a feeling that I could get used to writing either, but I think that the new script will be easier in the long run.
I can't decide if 0400 is a good or bad hour to be thinking about this sort of thing.
