At Long Last, Specs Done
Ever since I started at LEGO, one of the major responsibilities has been to create specification documents for the web site(s). In fact, those docs were due a few short weeks after I started, but I was busy getting up to speed on everything. So they languished, needing love but finding none. While I did other important things (like budgets), the unfinished specs for BIONICLE.com and BIONICLEstory.com loomed over my shoulder, begging for attention I couldn't afford to give.
Until today.
At long last, many weeks after they were technically due, the specification documents for BIONICLE.com and BIONICLEstory.com were finished and handed in. Although my plate is still overflowing, at least I don't have those two behemoths hounding my every move. They each took more than a week to write, but I'm happy with them - everyone else seems to be as well. So far, anyway. We'll see how long that lasts.
BIONICLEstory will be going in a new direction, which I hope will help fill a gap. Both sites are due to launch in January, so there's not a lot of time do develop and populate both sites. Including multiple languages for BIONICLE.com.
Actually, I just finished providing feedback on the second round of comps (sample graphics) for BIONICLE.com. I like the direction that's going as well. So overall, projects are essentially on track.
Now I can go back to cleaning up my email inbox.
