This Needs A Name
I went outside today it was the best thing I ever saw
The sun shining in my face and the clouds without a flaw
I couldn't stand listening to birds fly by
So I put on my earphones and gave music a try
But everything sounds different and every word the same
Everyone was speaking to me, but, didn't know my name
I could swear that I saw everyone in the whole world
But focused my eyes on that special girl
She walked by and knocked me over with her voice
She helped me get up and I started to make a noise
But she couldn't understand me, I was too lonely
I could not speak her tongue she was too lovely
An angel in disguise, broke her wings on the flight down
Everything I knew about this god forsaken town
Is not true...
Oh don't you want to live? Oh don't you want to live?
So my name carried across the wind into her ear
I wonder now if I can even hear
Her name carries over the passing cars
Without the wheels around they can't go too far
I just wish I could know her name
I just wish she would act the same
I don't know everything I claim to know
But all these pains, and these seeds I sow
Keep me up late at night bleeding out my heart
In the feeling of the fight I wish for the dark
To come and envelope me...
And envelope me...
