For someone's first attempt at bionicle, I'd say it's pretty good.

It has far better parts usage and is something like 30% more coherent than anything you've ever built, and this is moko's first Bionicle MOC?

Yeah, I'm not seeing it.

I think it's a result of the Lego prices in Japan. Seems to me that due to pieces being far more expensive, they put a lot more thought into how they use them.

that things amazing

For a first Bionicle MOC, it's kind of amazing. Beyond that it's pretty yucky. I do like the legs, however.

While I like the legs and chest cannon, the rest is fairly boring. It's certainly better than most of BBC these days though and is great for a first MOC.
