Welcome to Pokemon Iron and Bronze, a pair of fan made Pokemon games! Launch Date: Unknown Project Leader: Zero MakutaBackup Leader/Lieutenant: dramatic.chipmunkBefore I start jabbering about how awesome and how amazing everything’s going to be if you join the group and help work on this game, let me just get two things out of the way. The first is this disclaimer:We do not own the rights to Pokémon. All the rights to existing Pokémon, ideas, and concepts belong to the Pokémon Company and Nintendo. And the second is this one:All sprites and ideas posted in this topic become the property of Pokémon Iron and Bronze, and are not to be used elsewhere (such as other Pokémon fangames) without permission.Alright, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get cracking! Most likely right now, you’re thinking, ‘Why the heck did I click on this?’ and we’re glad you asked. Pokémon Iron and Bronze, originally named Pokémon Irongray and Rosepink, has been brought back to allow people a place to create and unleash their Pokémon ideas in a fun, constructive environment. Here, you’ll be able to watch your daydream Pokémon doodles turn into full fledged sprites to be used in an actual game that will be playable online!Pokémon Iron and Bronze will eventually become a Massively Multiplayer Online Game (or just MMO for short). This will take time and effort, but in order for it to happen, we need your help. Yes, you! Inside of every person, inside of you, is a wealth of creativity, a hidden spring that just needs to be tapped, and this is the place and the time to do it. For this project, we need Spriters, Writers, Concept Artists, and yes, even Critics! There’s a place for everyone. You may think you don’t have what it takes to help, but you do. Part of learning and improving a talent, or working on a new one, is messing up horribly, and we’ve all done it a load of times. However, if you think that you’re too good to help us in this great undertaking, come off your high horse, and help us out. We need talented individuals who can lead with skill and devotion.Well, are you ready to help us? This is an ambitious project, but all of the greatest things are attained through patience and hard work, which all of us have to be willing to give. However, sharing a common goal unites people in a way that’s hard to imagine. We all have something, no matter how small, to give that will make these games beyond anything that’s been seen before. All we need is your help. The Groups Here at Pokémon Iron and Bronze we’ve got several main divisions that categorize us all and make it possible for groups to work efficiently. They are:Concept ArtistsHeaded By: Needed[Job Description]: As the head of the Concept Artists, you need to make sure to gather all of the concept art from your members and submit it to me and the head of the Spriters. Ensure that it is of fair quality (no blobs allowed ).Members:SpritersHeaded By: dramatic.chipmunkMembers:CriticsHeaded By: Needed[Job Description]: As the head of the Critics, it will be your job to ensure that the members of your group are fair and constructive with their criticism. High degrees of negativity should not be allowed.Members: ~JC~WritersHeaded By: Needed[Job Description]: As head of the Writers, it will be your job to ensure that the main plotline is filled out completely. For instance, your group needs to decide where important situations will happen, who will be involved, etc. It will also be your job to figure out all after-story quests/storylines along with miniquests.Members:ProgrammersHeaded By: Needed[Job Description]: As head of the Programmers, you will need to ensure that all of your members are programming similarly to make the game flow.Members:ComposersHeaded By: Needed[Job Description]: As head of the Composers, your job will be to ensure that your members work on music that is unique, and yet similar to former Pokémon game music.Members: Together, the group Heads form the Staff, which follows the direction of the Project Leader and the Backup Leader, the latter of which acts as a first mate. The Heads will decide what particular piece of writing, spriting, programming, etc. that their group will work on, and for how long. The Staff is in charge. They can hand out punishments as they deem necessary, but if they seem overly harsh, please contact another member of the staff via PM and we will check it out. We will do our best to remain fair, upbeat, and helpful as we maintain order. Now that’s all taken care of, on to the story! The Story Welcome to Loenta, the divided region. Two nations occupy the landmass, constantly on the brink of war with each other, and restrained only by the threat of mutually assured destruction. One nation, Ceren, worships Emperath, which creates worlds upon end, heralding eternal light and immortality. The other, named Malus, worships Diacturne, the destroyer of worlds and everything created by its counterpart. Neither Legendary has been spotted in generations. The Pokémon League of Loenta maintains a precarious balance between the twin nations; the Champion Seth and his Elite Four serve as a Supreme Court in international matters.Rex and Emily (Iron and Bronze, respectively) have been raised in Quartz Villa, one of the few neutral towns in Loenta. Professor Aspen believes that together, they can put an end to the endless cold war that is coming to a boil, stoked by two agencies, each devoted to one of the nations. . . . The Pokémon League The Pokémon League of Loenta is special. Each Gym Leader is placed over a particular area of the two nations, tasked to maintain tranquility via peaceful measures. However, they are authorized to use force whenever they deem necessary. They also command a secretive police force.Despite the Gym Leaders’ capabilities, skirmishes and riots are erupting both inside the twin nations and on their borders. They desperately seek to find the underground villains, who carry the blame for the conflicts, but the Pokémon trainers they send out vanish without a trace. Leader Holly has also disappeared. . . .The names of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four in order are as follows:1. Fire Leader Helios2. Poison Leader Yin3. Electric Leader Naomi4. Water Leader Ethan5. Bug Leader Freddy6. Dragon Leader Nicholas7. Flying Elite Four Nathan8. Grass Leader HollyRock Elite Four MasonSteel Elite Four VictoriaGhost Elite Four Alex (Female)Bone Elite Four IvanDark Champion Seth The Towns There are many towns and cities in Loenta. Several are within Malus, and others in Ceren. Pokémon trainers are the only common people to travel between the two nations, but prejudice against them can be strong, even for those like Rex and Emily, who live in neutral territory. The towns, in order, are as follows:1. Quartz Villa – Starting town with 4 houses and Professor Aspen’s lab.2. Scorchonic Town – Fire themed. Contains machine shops, forges, a foundry, and Elite Four Victoria’s house, where it is possible to speak with her after defeating the Pokémon League. It is located at the base of a semi-active volcano. Has Leader Helios’ Fire Gym. Design/concept art needed.3. Judosaki City – Fighting/oriental themed. Contains Poison Leader Yin’s gym, an apothecary, and a vaccine/cure scientific lab, where players will be able to revive their fossil Pokémon. Design/concept art needed.4. Homebound Village – Village themed. It is small and built in the forest and has a Pokémon Daycare and a Pokefarm. Possibly some sort of mini-quest. Design/concept art needed.5. Ampolte City – Electric/technologically themed. Lots of power plants and Naomi’s Electric Gym. Location of Power Plant Miniquest.6. Cape Alway – Water themed and near Ampolte City. It has a large lighthouse and a port with ships that will carry to certain islands. These are only accessible after defeating Ethan and completing certain parts of the story.7a. Diurnial Isle – Light/creation themed. It is a town of people devoted to the Emperath, with an Herbal Shop, Practice Gym, several buildings, and a gold & white temple. It is linked to Nocturnial Isle through the Expanse Caves.7b. Nocturnial Isle – Dark/destruction themed. Skulinsgrad City – Dragon/bone themed, with a Dragon Gym and Pokémon Graveyard.10. Topaz Metropolis – Massive city themed and biggest city in the game. It is unique, and divided by a river into two separate but equally large cities, one in Malus and the other Ceren.Topaz A (Also called Terrace City) – Industrial themed. Rock Leader Mason is a head engineer for construction. Has a construction zone in the city, a Department Store, and several skyscrapers. It is located in Ceren.Topaz B (Also called Orchid City) – Older city themed. It like London/Paris or any older city that has been around for a while, but it is clean. It has a cathedral, a clock tower, and the final Gym. It resides in Malus. The Agencies The Agencies, named Operation Eclipse and Operation Twilight for Malus and Ceren, respectively, are a pair of underground government departments, each devoted to one of the two nations. They both plan to destroy the opposing nation and give the conquered enemy land to their own governments. In order to do this, they need a large army composed of only the strongest Pokémon, and so they seek to claim the Pokémon of Loenta as their own.As Rex and Emily begin their journey to stop the fighting, they are thwarted by the Agencies, who are willing to kill to protect their secrets and stop anyone seeking to stop the coming war. The Pokedex What Pokémon game is complete without a Pokedex? At this moment, the Pokedex is only a list of profiled Pokémon. As not all of the Pokémon have been made yet, they have not been numbered, and much information (such as height, weight, etc.) has been left or discarded for the time being. The Duo Yes, the focal point of the Pokémon games; the all-powerful Legendary Duo. Emperath – The Syntropy Pokemon Long ago, before Arceus’ egg had even been formed, Emperath set the boundaries of the universe and filled it with all of the materials needed for its creation. It brought Arceus’ egg to the world and tasked the Alpha Pokémon with creating the world, forging the Life Plates to empower it.After the Creation, Emperath left to make new worlds, but returned to check on the Pokémon Universe. It loved the region of Loenta, which Arceus had made to honor Emperath and its counterpart, Diacturne. Emperath visited the region annually, refreshing the region into a paradise greater than any in the world. However, one year it did not arrive, and has not since. Loenta, once the paradise envy of the world, has become just like other regions, stark in comparison to its former beauty. Diacturne – The Entropy Pokemon Master of destruction and dissolution, Diacturne comes to ancient worlds and destroys them, breaking them down to bare particles which float in endless night. It is attracted by decaying worlds and thrives in the eternal shadow beyond universal boundaries. When Arceus crafted Loenta to honor the twin Legends, Diacturne also visited the region, with a gift of its own. It brought destruction and chaos upon the sea around the region, effectively sealing the paradise off from the outside world so it would not be destroyed.Humans eventually migrated to the region and worshipped Diacturne along with Emperath. In return for their annual bounty, Diacturne bestowed another breed of Pokémon upon Loenta: the Bone Type. However, in the same year that Emperath vanished, so too did Diacturne. Because of this, the chaos protecting the region dissolved, and the outside world influenced the former paradise. Two sophisticated nations arose, one solely believing in Emperath, the other solely in Diacturne. The Trio Every Pokémon game has some sort of Legendary trio, and this is no different. Emperath and Diacturne created three guardians to protect Loenta should anything happen to it: Aquine, Terrest, and Celestrian, the Expanse Trio. Aquine – The Ocean Pokémon Aquine is the graceful ruler of the ocean expanse. It fiercely protects the Water Pokémon of Loenta and helped the chaos around the region with a constant storm, which still exists today, making travel difficult. When the north side of the Expanse Caves flood, Aquine is there. Terrest – The Plains Pokémon Terrest is the stoic guardian of the plains expanse. It channels the power of the earth, protects hunted and rare Pokémon, and patrols the coast of Loenta. When Emperath and Diacturne vanished, Pokémon Safaris attempted to come to the region, but Terrest destroyed them. Celestrian – The Astral Pokémon Celestrian is the lovely protector of the heavens expanse. It aids Bird Pokémon and sends cyclones upon towns that have offended it or that hurt Pokémon. However, it also sends nourishing rain and sunshine upon those that seek to do well.It was set as the leader of the Expanse Trio by Emperath and Diacturne, who worked together to forge the energy of light and day with the power of darkness and night. Rules No Spamming – This includes constant questions about Pokémon Irongray and Rosepink, and about Nausicaa. It’s time to move on people. No Flaming – Be kind, especially to those who are younger. If you think something looks bad, say it nicely with some helpful tips, rather than just tearing it down.Be Tolerant – This ties in with No Flaming. If you think that you’re surrounded by people you can’t stand, think about it. You’re on the internet, probably hundreds of miles away from them. In other words: Suck. It. Up.Be Creative and Original – This is extremely important. Originality is something that we all need to strive for. No plagiarism is allowed.Keep It Clean – There will be absolutely no swearing, including taking a special individual’s name in vain. Some of us on here prefer to have an environment without that.Have Fun! – The most important rule of them all! Have fun! This isn’t some serious adult project where we have to do our best just to keep our jobs. This is a place to unwind and work on something fun. Q&A Here is where I will post some of the most frequently asked questions. There are none yet, but let me put two preliminaries up:Q: What happened to Pokemon Irongray and Rosepink?A: This is Pokemon Irongray and Rosepink. Same same, just different.Q: Where is Naussica?A: Naus is gone, guys. It’s time to move on.I'm looking forward to what we can accomplish on this project. I know that we can really make something awesome.~ZM
