  1. IC: Night Stalker

Night Stalker took Render's hand and stood up.  "Hey, just letting you know Mechna ain't gonna be a walk in the park."  He followed the hero back to the cells.

  2. OOC: How does Night Stalker know they're in a different dimension? All Zib said was that they have a device for travelling through dimensions- this is assuming Zib called this over a PA system and not through something Night Stalker wouldn't have heard, like the comms. Actually, I'm pretty sure it was PA, since the other villains heard it earlier. Never mind.

Also, aw shoot I thought that Stormer had already chosen everyone who was going on the mission. Would Quark have heard the announcement? I doubt they would have if it was from a PA system.

    ~

IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render paused, thinking about the announcement. They'd probably need someone on this mission who can shut down the machine that makes the portal, he supposed. He turned back to Night Stalker. "Wants to destroy us, huh? Like most've the varmints breakin' the law out there? Colour me surprised."

The medbots seemed to be finishing their work. He got up. "I'll stick yer sensors back in, and give ya th' dignity of walkin' back."

OOC: He deduced it.  Zib said that they had to put the planet back and talked about a portal, so Night Stalker assumed that the planet had gone through the portal.

    IC: Night Stalker

"Usually you guys fight individual villains or small groups, whereas right now you've got a whole planet of them."

Render stood up, and Night Stalker rolled himself onto his front to give the hero easier access.

  3. IC: Ken Render - Life Coach

"Well, pardner, th' appeal depends on you, and yer behaviour. You cooperate, that's gonna look good at yer trial. Since y'say you had nothin' t'do with th' attack on Hero Factory- I mean, y'sound as if you were somewhere else on th'ship th' whole time- then maybe y'can come away with a less serious charge." He chewed the wire in his mouth thoughtfully. "Though, wouldn't pay you t'lie, boyo. Best t'come clean if'n you had somethin' t'do with all this. I can't tell ya how long it'll be 'til you get an appeal, I ain't no lawyer, but yer better off comin' clean all the same."

He leaned forward in his chair, arms resting on his thighs and fingers intertwined. "There's plenty villains turnin' their lives around. Ol' Gargantuan Smash, he got a job here, of all places. Not many villains get t'join us, mind- Smash was a special case- but y'know, there's a lot of places an ex-villain can get a job. Y'got any skills outside'f villainy, pardner? Or anything you've always wanted t'do?"

    GM NPC ZIB

"Attention all Heroes," Zib said, glaring at Stormer for stealing his PA announcement. "We are organizing a team to invade the planet Mechna to find a portal they have engineered to travel between dimensions. We are looking to put this planet back where it belongs and shut the portal down."

    IC: Night Stalker

"Other than fighting and stealth, not much.  I've wanted to be pilot for a while now.  Never had any training or anything before.  It would be cool to learn how to do that, and I imagine after prison flying would feel very freeing."  As the message comes over the comms, Night Stalker looks up, surprised.  "We're on Mechna?  You should know that a good 3/4 of the population would love turning this ship and all you heroes to scrap.  And we're in an alternate dimension.  I really don't want to be here right now."

IC: Jonathan Splint and NPC Georje - This has taken way too long

The medics arrived at the Lifeline and loaded Ruby's stretcher onboard. Georje went to check on Buckley, while Splint infused Ruby's body with repair nanites.

IC: Ruby - It really has

"Thank you so much.  Do you know if everyone has left for Mechna yet?"

  4. OOC: Hey, page 150! C:

IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"Looks like," Render shrugged. "Sorry you had to find out like this, pardner. Maybe you can get an appeal'r somethin', since y'say you had nothin' to do with the Hero Factory bein' attacked. I mean, unless y'got another mass murder rap under yer belt."

    IC: Night Stalker

"I've got two thoughts on that at the moment.  First is how long it'll be till I get an appeal, if I even get one, and second, what would I even do after I got out?"

  5. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"Was lookin' fer somethin' different to every other self-absorbed villain out there. Varmint wants power and don't care who they've gotta kill or step on t'get it? There's thousands of you out there, boyo, and there'll be more after yer gone. Villains like you, they don't think, see. And I'm sorry you got it in yer head that killin' and all was gonna getcha anythin' but a cold cell, no matter what that Traferous fellow told you."

He sighed. He'd been around the block enough times to know this guy's thinking. The latest skip on a broken record.

    IC: Night Stalker

Night Stalker let out one short, humorless laugh. "Ain't that the truth. I'm just an average villain with plans too big for my own head, about spend the rest of my life in prison."

  6. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

He shook his head, disappointed but unsurprised at the complete disregard for life. "Naw, pardner, I don't just mean why you blew up a building. I wanna know why you do all these here crimes in th' first place. Though yer tellin' me a lot already by avoidin' parts of th' question."

    IC: Night Stalker

"If you were looking forward to some tragic tale of woe, sorry to disappoint.  I want power, plain and simple.  That's what attracted me to Traeferous in the first place."

  7. IC: Night Stalker

"What villain wouldn't want Hero Factory wiped off the map?  However, when joined up with Traeferous I did not expect us to go out and attack hero factory on my first day.  I didn't notice we had even arrived at makuhero city.  When we got here I was busy exterminating some creepy half-sentient creature which was eating our quaza in Traeferous' vault."

  8. IC: Night Stalker

"I haven't looked at the news in a while, but I'd put a lot of money on the Galaxy being a huge mess right now.  I mean, your factory just got blown to bits.  Every villain from here to the outer rim will be carrying out whatever plan they've got.  This is the luckiest break they'll have for a long time."

  9. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"Welp, if'n it helps any, you weren't gonna be usin' that hammer for a long time, what with prison n' all."

    IC: Night Stalker

Night Stalker sighs.  "Yeah, I know."

  10. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"Wouldn't say I like 'em, per se. I like fixin' more'n blowin' up." He pulled up a chair. "Looks like you're gonna take a while. So, pardner, what's yer villain schtick? Figurin' 'assistin' in mass murder' is a bit too long fer a business card."

    IC: Night Stalker

"Essentially I'm a tank for hire.  I can take the hard hits and deal 'em out even stronger.  And then my hammer got sliced up so there goes half my strength.  Literally.  It doubles the force of every swing, which in my hands is quite considerable."

  11. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

"Yeah. Was top of th' class." He smiled. "Nah, we just get trained t'handle any situation. Some'f us specialise in certain situations, sure, but it always pays t'be ready."

    IC: Night Stalker

"So what do you specialize in?"

  12. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render smiled around the wire. "The thing with rookies is, you're gonna wanna look out for 'em in a year or so, if that."

He looked at the medbot's work again. "Yer sensors still disconnected, bucko?"

    IC: Night Stalker

"True.  Furno was like that, right?  No, they're not.  I'd rather wait till the medbots are done."

  13. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render finally returned to the search in the drawer, and found what he was looking for: a piece of wire. He straightened it out and stuck it in his mouth thoughtfully. "Plasma sword and energy rifle? Wouldn't have happened to be a space-mod Hero and li'l Mara from the other room, would it?"

    IC: Night Stalker

Night Stalker snorts.  "From what I've seen of her she'd rattle herself apart as soon as she saw me in battle.  Nah, this guy flew.  The other was looked more medieval, 'cept for the plasma sword."

  14. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render idly glanced at the work the medbots were doing. "Heh. So, how'd you get so banged up, pardner?"

    IC: Night Stalker

"That would be one of you guys with a plasma sword.and another one with a high powered energy rifle.

OOC: My computer kicked the bucket. I'll do my best to remain active.

    IC: Ruby

She winced as Splint lifted the piece off, then cringed again at the sight of her legs.

Georje would find that her power was low, but not dangerously so.

IC: Jonathan Splint and NPC Georje - Almost done!

"Relax," Georje said. "We'll get your legs fixed up soon as we're on the ship." He put away his diagnostic tool and went to go help Splint with the last piece of the support beam. Once it was moved, the medbots picked up the stretcher and set it down alongside Ruby.

    IC: Ruby

"Thanks." Ruby said, taking care not to look at her mangled legs.

  15. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render shrugged at Night Stalker. "Could be worse, I guess. I've seen villains who try to change names without knowin' a lick about spellin'. Or choose names that, frankly, I'd be embarrassed to be puttin' on letters home."

    IC: Night Stalker

"What's worse is when they try to over compensate with their names.  They come up with terrifying and horrifyingly long titles which only make you laugh because it belongs to a pickpocket."

  16. OOC: Sure.

IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

He glanced back to Night Stalker. "Harsh, boyo."

    IC: Night Stalker

"Eh, What're ya gonna do?  Might change it at some point.  Sounds kinda menacing, so I didn't bother changing it."

  17. IC: Ken Render - Astral Medbay

Render finally for Night Stalker over the threshold of the medbay. He pulled the villain over to a bed and, figuring he'd be sticking around to guard the guy anyway, decided to make small talk while e waited for a medbot to be free.

"So," he began, reaching into his bag. "Night Stalker. Were you made with that name, pardner? If you don't mind me askin'. Odd name to call a 'bot, is all."

    IC: Night Stalker

"Some two-bit planet you've never heard of.  My maker designed me to be a stealth bot and he wasn't very creative with names."

OOC: Really it's nostalgia.  I had an RPC on the Lego Message Boards in the HF RP, who was this guy but significantly more powerful.  As in he could have taken down this Hero Factory single handedly.  :P  Complete cloaking, teleport, his gun shot antimatter and antiquaza in addition to what he can here, and he had two missiles launchers on his shoulders. And he wasn't even OP there.

  18. IC: Ken Render - Astral Hallways

"Yeah, bein' a pardner in crime to mass murder and destroyin' a building full of do-gooders- not t' mention blowin' up the home of the people who do the arrestin'- typically don't sit too well with people." He chuckled.

    IC: Night Stalker

"I can tell."  Night Stalker decided it was not a good idea to tell the whole list of his crimes.  It would simply add to what was probably already a life sentence.

  19. OOC: Thanks, Vestak!

IC: Ken Render - Astral Hallways

"Thanks, pardner. I try." He was almost there now, thank goodness. "So, what're you in for?"

"Attacking the factory and being affiliated with Traeferous.  That really didn't work out for me."
