I thought I could continue to fight

I still think you are Mr. Right

I don’t want to give up on you

But what will you have me do

Though now mine feels torn apart

I wish I still had the energy to try again

But it appears it is clearly the end

I thought giving up would make me seem like I’m afraid

But maybe I am the one to be brave

And end it before more pain befalls you or me

I hope you never have to feel or see

How what I wished more than anything in this world right now

Has become such a strain on my heart because I let you down

These tears I’ll cry for you will have to do

But there is no need for you to weep too

But remember if your feelings ever do or don’t change
