Cross Country Meets 3 & 4

Last week was my third Cross Country Meet. The course was a golf course that was pretty level. It worked out nice and I got 21:43 for a time, a new PR if only by a few seconds.   The fourth cross country meet, two days ago, didn't work out as well. The course was also a golf course but there were a lot more hills. My time ended up being about 21:48. Time was roughly the same as my other races but I know I was working a lot harder for this one.   I another meet this Saturday. I'll hopeful

Last Day Of Class

Today's my last day of class. It will be a relief to finally be done with school for the year. Now I can finally get working on some other stuff that I've been putting off. Next year is going to be a nightmare though.   I have two finals next week. Only one is really a final though, the other one is going to be a party. My English professor said he would have snacks and we would watch a movie during the final period.   As long as I get an "A" on my research paper I'm turning in today I sh

Pictures From The Superior Hiking Trip

These are some of the pictures I took while hiking on the Superior National Hiking Trail last weekend. Click the thumbnail to go to a larger picture.   Pictures 2, 3, and 4, were taken on the lake. #2 was taken at the park where we stopped for supper on the way to the campsite. #3 was taken on the beach at the campsite using the panorama feature on my camera. #4 shows one of the large lake freighters. Pictures 5 and 6 show a couple of the waterfalls I saw while on the Superior National Hi

Trip Pictures

Here are some of the picture I took while I was gone last weekend.   This one is probably one of my luckiest shots. There was a geocache about 10 feet from where this picture was taken. I'm pretty glad I brought my camera out of the car with me.   A Bridge It was a 30 min walk to get to this bridge. It was also the turn around point for the walk I took.   An Old Car Something interesting I saw while on the walk. Obviously this car has been through a lot.   The Trail A simple shot of

Premier Membership Gone

Three days ago when I got on got a sunrise. Since Black Six was the last person I thought he was saying Premier Membership was ending. It was scary moment but while I was waiting for the page to load (ie slow server) I decided that it could possible be the end of Premier Memberships.

Spring Classes

I get to go back to school on Monday. Winter break is never long enough.   On my plate for this semester are three classes, although I'm currently registered for four.   Math 221 Calculus and Analytical Geometry I PHIL 194 Critical Reasoning GER 101 German 101 MUSM 126 History of Rock & Roll   The last two are questionable. The German class has an unlisted lab which may force to drop it. My mom wants me to take it, but if the lab conflicts with my schedule, which really can't be cha

Terrible Afternoon

I had piano lessons this afternoon. The bad was they were at 2:00 instead of 1:00.   I wanted to go running when we got back before supper but it turns out my sister had an appointment to get her braces adjusted. It was 4:30 before we got on the way home. Since it was already too late to go running we stopped to try and find a geocache but no luck there. The gloomy cloudy weather we've been having was throwing off my GPS.   Yeah, so that's how my afternoon went. I'll probably go runnin

The Bandwagon And Some Advice

All the blogs on the first page have an entry on the recent data loss. {EDIT: Not anymore but they did when I started typing this an hour ago} Hence the the title.   40 Entries and Counting... On the Down Time and posts lost   Personally, I really didn't lose much. Sure, I lost all my PM records, but I had most of that backed up. The one important thing I did lose was my Dark Horse MOC topic. That one actually got some replies.   I know a lot of people lost a lot of stuff. But as a

September?

Is it really September already? It seems like it was yesterday that I was finishing up with track and starting my summer.   I really haven't blogged enough lately and that probably won't change. School started on Monday last week and I've been pretty busy since then. Physics, Microeconomics, and Intro to Computer Science have me pretty swamped. Not to mention work, cross country and Boy Scouts.   Cross Country has also been keeping me pretty busy. First meet of the season was yesterday.

What I'm Reading

I'm still working my way through The List. I started on Les Miserables on January 1st and in the three weeks I was able to check it out from the library for, I read about three fourths of it. When I get it again in two to three weeks, I'll have about 300 pages left to read. It really is a bad book if you can get through the less exciting side tracks. I did find the 50 page break to discuss the battle of Waterloo rather interesting.   I'm starting on 1984 now, which I should be able to fin

Back From Camping

I'm back from my camping trip. It went better then I expected, mainly because the weather turned out okay.   We got up there last night and got the tents out. By that time the rain had pretty much let up. It was still sprinkling but it wasn't the downpour I was expecting. We did end up getting a fire started, ironically the hardest part was getting the firestarter to go, it was so windy that the matches we were using kept getting blown out.   For Breakfast my patrol had breakfast burritos.

400 Posts

After about 1.75 years here at BZPower I've finally hit 400 posts. Some what of a major achievement considering I usually don't get above 600 posts on a forum before I either lose interest or the forum closes.   No post special this time, maybe in another hundred. I also have a update to my blog I will be making pretty soon. You'll have to keep an eye out for it.

A 5k Race

I ran a 5k this morning. It was the second time I've run a 5k. My last one was over 2 years ago. I ran a 26:07. I think it was a pretty good time. I got lucky and there were only 4 people in my age group. I guess everyone else was at one of the other five 5k's in the area. I got 73rd overall out of about 160 and 3rd in my age group. I finally have a medal from my running.   A girl who is on the high school track team was running too. I hadn't seen her since the season ended. She's fai

The Heat

Is getting very tiring. It got passed 90 out side today. I'm in Minnesota and it's only May. It's not suppose to this hot out side yet. I'm so glad track is almost finished, I hate having to run when it's this hot out.   Hopefully it cools down this weekend.   P.S. For those of you who were interested in geocaching I haven't forgotten.

SEEK 2013

I'm going to the National FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) Conference, SEEK 2013 in January. I just thought I would throw that out in case there is someone else who is going to be there. I know ChocolateFrogs went to a regional conference a while back, but maybe there's someone else who is going to be there.   In other news, I'm finally finished with my third semester. All my classes went well, but we'll see what I ended up getting on my Thermodynamics final since right now tha

Cross Country Meet #2

The second Cross Country meet of the season was earlier today. The temperature was pretty much perfect, I'm going to say it was mid to low 60's. It was cloudy and it was sprinkling on and off, but it didn't really start raining until the last race finished, which was the girl's race for some reason.   I ended up getting about 22:12. 26 seconds more then my previous race. I don't know, I haven't really felt fully "recharged" since that first race, so that may be part of it. We were also run

Back From Vacation

I'm back from the short trip that I took to my Grandparents over the weekend. It was a rather fun trip. Since I got my permit earlier this month I was able to drive for the 3 hours it took to get there.   I spent all of Saturday morning and half of the afternoon helping my Grandfather with yard work. After 3:00 P.M. I took a hike with some of my family to go find a two geocaches. Over the weekend I found a total of 5 geocaches bringing my total finds up to 20 found. It was a pretty fun wee

School Week 1

... is now finished. I think I'll be able to handle the two college classes I'm taking. I'm wondering now, why I didn't take another class.   Oh, well I'll probably take a three in the spring.   The odd thing is that my Math professor has uncanny resemblance to my piano teacher, both in looks and personality.   I've only ran into one person I know so far but there are a bunch of other people on campus that I know.

Mall Of America

I went to the Mall of America earlier today. It was a pretty interesting trip. I almost went into shock at the sheer amount of LEGO contained in one place.   I ended up getting the River Heist Agents set, which was on clearance and a small bucket from the pick-a-brick wall. I ended up getting more plant things then I would ever use. Looking at what I got I wish I had gotten more of the trans-blue 1x1 round studs and less (or none) of the orange 1x1 round studs. I was also going to get Gold

The Year In Review

So over the last year quite a bit of stuff has happened. I think the biggest thing that's happened for me this year is the fact that I now have my drivers license. That has made it a lot easier to get to class and work. No more sitting and waiting for my parents to pick me up.   Taking college classes for the first time this year was also an interesting experience. Looking back I now wish I had taken a third class. I ended up getting A's in both Political Science 101 and College Algebra

I'm Bored

A bunch of my family is going going to be coming tomorrow. I think I'm going to go for a bike ride tonight but then I'm probably going to be going alone. None of the rest of my family is in good enough shape to go as long a ride as I want to go for.   I'm going to be at my house most of tomorrow anyway so I might as well go for a bike ride tonight.

Track Season 2010

Another Track season is fast approaching. There's going to be a parents meeting on March 1st. The first practice is going to happen on March 15th.   This year they're not going to have morning practices during spring break, probably because they only had half the team at the spring break practices last year.   Hopefully I'll be able to participate in the pentathlon the team is doing. Last year everyone in my family had the stomach flu, which wasn't fun at all.   It will be interesting to
