Field trips are an everyday experience at my school. Tomorrow we go on another one, but this time, it's not just for a couple of hours. Our destination is the innocuously named Hyytiälä Forest Field Station. What the name blithely glosses over is that Hyytiälä is a huge wetlands area: peatlands, bogs, whatever you want to call them.
