It's Over

The beast that is 2016 has been slain.   I'd say 'goodbye', but in the sense that it feels good to finally say bye. It's not going to be missed.   Hoping for a better 2017.

Enraging

Barring the obvious things that animals need that humans don't, if you wouldn't do something to human, don't do it to an animal. Just because you find the reaction of the animal funny or cute does not mean they like it happening or that it is okay to do.

What's this about it being the third day of the fourteenth month...? Did eleven months pass in one night? Ignoring wherever those two extra months came from, regardless. Are they leap months?   Are we allowed to add days to the calendar ourselves now, extending the year for everybody? Can we retroactively do that? But if we insert two extra months into 2014, it'll be January today, but January 2015 already happened as did February 2015...   Whatever, merry happy joyous wondrous Ipe day.

Medieval stuff

What is it with medieval stuff and its strangely large influence on fiction?   Living in a place that went through that period as part of its history, it's kind of disappointing how many fictional works seem to make themselves way more boring by allowing themselves to be influenced too much by it. Asides from the fictional works produced during the medieval period, that has an excuse.

I added a pointless new content block to the right. I hope it does what I intended to do. It probably won't, and break BZP, since I have that kind of luck.
