"No Floods" and "You and I" are both awesome, both by Lady Gaga, and both not technopop. Her voice is actually really good when she isn't Auto-Tuned. My world has turned upside-down.
Once every year, random strangers dressed in bizarro costumes knock at my door and threaten to trick me if they don't get treats. What is this mad ritual? -- and how was I sucked into doing it for almost every year of my life until now?
Below is my complete list of booty from my sixteenth birthday. The last three items on this list are items I procured today; the first three are from my uncle, nana, and a friend during our annual Thanksgiving dinner; and the middle one I received from my grandmom yesterday. Sadly, because I have to wake up at six AM tomorrow for homeschool co-op, I can't watch Iron Man this late. Maybe later tomorrow I will. -Fifty dollars -Two ten-dollar Chick-Fil-A gift cards -1000 Best Smart Money Secrets
Yes, you read the blog entry title correctly. I have finally passed the ten thousand word mark in my NaNoWriMo story -- and, luckily, I've gotten to an interesting part to write -- in other words, a suspenseful part, not a part that contains little more than filler descriptions, filler dialogue, and other words that serve as filler. I suppose I won't think of the filler as, well, filler after I finish and edit the heck out of the story later, but at the moment it's getting annoying.
I'm going to miss this blog. It's been fun and really gives me an urge to create a blog that can be linked to on BZPower (not Twitter, though). I hope everyone has had an enjoyable experience reading my blog; who knows? -- maybe I'll be able to afford Lifetime Premier Membership someday soon.
Last night I finally managed to have my Board of Review for Tenderfoot. Don't judge: I joined a year and a half ago, but lost at least half a year in missed meetings (due to issues outside Boy Scouts) and campouts I couldn't attend. One of the questions asked to me by an adult leader of the troop during my Board of Review was, "What do you think isn't good about the troop?" I thought for just a moment. "Well," I replied, "the meetings seem disorganized -- like, not everything scheduled to be
On another forum, someone posted about BZPower's forums being up. I was on the verge of telling him, "No, those are just the archives," but I decided to check BZPower anyway. Just in case, I told myself. I saw the news announcement. I think my brain did a somersault, but I blacked out immediately afterward so I can't be sure. Source: What Was Your Reaction...
It's the first official day of National Novel Writing Month. My story's plot hasn't been solidified save for vague goals and ideals I want to represent in the narrative. In the Microsoft Word document I've reserved for my story, the only text present is "1.", which I typed to signify the first chapter. This is not a good start.
We're alive and working, but experienced animators are still needed! If you're a good animator and have worked on 3D projects and Blender before, whether Bionicle or otherwise, please consider joining. [/plug]
My story, Ignition, may not have won a Judge's Choice award, but it still has a chance to win the People's Choice poll. While votes would be appreciated, be sure to read through all of the entries before deciding which one is best -- winning fair and square is better than winning because I told people to vote for me.
I've been considering scouring the (admittedly small) list of 2012 albums I've heard and sorting them into a top ten list, perhaps with a few honorable mentions. While I think it would be a nice display of my musical tastes, I haven't actually listened to many 2012 albums, so the list would be rather incomplete. Would anyone be interested in me compiling such a list? I will include the list of 2012 albums I've heard so you understand why some albums are excluded.
A moment of silence for Kynaera, my now-scrapped BZPRPG character who would have made being a Black Mage something to be proud of. On the bright side, Ena is coming to Cradle of Civilization, so watch out.
GRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. I'm not writing two thousand words per day, and I've already wasted at least three of my free days by now. I hope to knuckle down and just write over this weekend to make up for my delays / laziness, no matter what my parents say.
'Twas awesome -- a little adult at parts, but still awesome. Robert Downey Jr. did a fantastic job playing Tony Stark, who had a somewhat unexpected personality that still worked for the character. I'm logging two hours and five minutes of my life as "not wasted".
I might as well start with the cons, as they will form the shorter of the two lists. I thought that, at times, the plot seemed a little disjointed; Karen Traviss's lack of location descriptions reinforced that slight confusion. I should be able to better follow when I reread the book in a week or two. The beginning of the book was fast-paced, yet sans real action. We have Darman's squad, yes, but his battle was stuck in the middle of other happenings and I couldn't really gauge its importanc
I picked up my first two Death Cab for Cutie albums, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes and Codes and Keys, at the library today intended to help create a niche of indie rock in my musical collection. I've listened to all of We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes and am listening to "You Are a Tourist" (now "Unobstructed Views", and now "Monday Morning", and now "Portable Television") on Codes and Keys as I type this. Since these are my first real indie rock acquisitions, I would like to s
