Moment of Derp With Ddude #2

So I get to school, open my locker and my Biology book is missing.   I didn't have any Biology homework that day so I probably wouldn't have taken it home, and I didn't remember taking it home. The last place I remember it being was on a backpack cubby by my locker.   So throughout the whole day, I SCOUR the school for it. Check with every teacher I can, go to the Lost and Found multiple times, move the cubby WITH ABOUT 200 POUNDS OF BACKPACKS IN IT, and don't find it.   I exit the school buildi

Got readdicted to Pushmo

I love when I ragequit a puzzle game because I'm stuck, randomly decide to pick it up months later, and I get the solution the first time. >>   Seriously though, this is some amazing game design. Highly reccommend it to puzzle fans. Really excited tor Crashmo next month.   -insert comment about Star Wars: Episode 7 here-

GROOSELAND IS BACK BABY

Well, at least for a week.   If I win GSR's little giveaway I'll have this for a year, but given my luck with the Summer Seal the other day (hrrrrrgh), I'm not going to hold my breath.   So yeah, uh...better start using this bad boy

Oh Ok Nevermind

Nintendo.   I love you. You're actually localizing Xenoblade and chances are Last Story will follow. Pandora's Tower probably won't be, but I'm not that interested in that one.   I've been with you since I was 4. Pokemon Ruby and Super Mario Bros Advance on the Game Boy Advance. Not the SP, the original Advance.   I've had great fun with you. Paper Mario: TTYD got me through a very unhappy part of my life. Majora's Mask got me through another tough time. Playing the Metroid Prime Trilogy was a

Operation: Get Bricks to Brickfair

It has come to my attention that throughout all this hullabaloo about Brickfair, nobody has discussed the most important aspect of Brickfair: Bricks! I mean, they're right there in the name! Bricks are a fundamental part of American society. They build houses, they, uh...actually that's pretty much all they do.   I suggest that we, the people of BZPower, come together to mail a sack of bricks to Brickfair by tonight. I don't care what laws we have to violate to get there, it just needs to be do

Skyward Sword

Hmm...I finished it up on Friday, review should be incoming soon.   I'm not sure how I feel about the game overall. On one hand, there's some great characters, pretty good story overall, a couple of boss fights I really loved, and the controls are great when they work. Also, I don't think I can ever play a Zelda game without a dash button again.   On the other hand, recalibrating is a fair bit too frequent, The Sky/Loftwing is iffy, I feel like it left the story left some questions unanswered, t

Bionicle: Matoran Adventures

So I was digging around online to figure out what Bionicle game I used to have on Game Boy. I had it a looooooooooong time ago, and lost it a loooooooong time ago. Eventually I determined this was the game of my youth.   Anyone else remember this game? I seem to recall it being fun, but then again I enjoyed some pretty terrible games when I was 6

"unlighted Lamps" By Sherwood Anderson

I'm doing Short Stories for my literature this year, and I have to say, "Unlighted Lamps" is probably the best thing I've read since Watership Down.   Yes. The Watership Down.   Apparently I'm a depressing person, because this is an incredibly depressing story, and I loved every minute of it.   And not all stories have to have happy endings.   Anyone else read this?

Stop Scaring Me, Japan

So earlier today I turned on the news channel and they were talking about Japan and earthquakes.   And I was like "WHAT NO NOT ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE"   Then it turned out they were just talking about some conference on earthquake safety between Japan and another country.   But for like 45 seconds, I was really worried. Whilst I Still Have My Blog

I must take this opportunity to broadcast to you all the wonders of Ogre Battle 64.   Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber is probably my all-time favorite game. It's a strategy-RPG developed by Quest (who, if I understand correctly, was absorbed/partially broken up by Square a few years later) for the Nintendo 64. The game was one of the few RPGs releases on the Nintendo 64, and it came out shortly before the end of the system.   The game has you putting characters in units of 3x3 grids.
