Trip To The Aquarium

Yesterday I went to the aquarium. It was a school trip, for one class at least, because my form class for next year was to go there for our orientation day trip. It was rather fun, and I saw lots and lots of penguins and other sea creatures.   There were also these awesome plushies in the gift shop there. THEY WERE REALLY, REALLY CUTE. PENGUINS!

Hallowe'en

Today is Hallowe'en.   I'm rather depressed that nobody came to my house to ask for candy so I could traumatise them with my creepy grin. However, that's pretty normal, seeing that Hallowe'en was an ancient Celtic ritual/festival/holiday/et cetera which was merely so the animals could survive through the Winter. In Australia it isn't Winter, so we don't really celebrate it.   I remember when I went trick or treating two years ago. It was awesome. All the free lollies and that stick of ice cream

Ouendan And Eba

As one can see from my current profile picture/avatar, I am now a fan of one of the most awesome games ever, Elite Beat Agents. For those who don't know what it is, EBA is the Western counterpart to a Japanese game known as Ouendan. It is a rhythm game for the Nintendo DS which features secret agents (a cheer squad in the Japanese version) that dance to music to help people. And it is awesome.   Why is it awesome? Because there aren't really any other games in which you save the world by dancing

The Oda Clan Takes Over The World

So many, many weeks ago I bought Total War: Shogun 2 off Steam during the annual Summer Sale or something for 75% off, which meant it was reduced from $50 to $12.50. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Being an Australian of course, and the prices being in US dollars, I had an extra thirty cent reduction, compared to the US dollar price.   Anyway, back then, I finished some of the tutorials, and basically left it on my hard drive until the start of these holidays, when I decided to try playing again

The Evulz Of Examinations

In about two weeks, us Year Sevens will have to undertake exams, one of the most hated things of all time, along with algebra, linear graphs, quantum physics and Twilight. However, it isn't the fact that I have an exam that annoys me, it's because of something our teachers force us to do.   At least 30 compulsory minutes of study for each subject per week. And the subjects are Maths, English, History, Science and Geography. Compulsory study.   HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO 'STUDY' ENGLISH AND MATHS?

Mawson Peak

One of my homework tasks at school was to compile a list of the ten tallest mountains in Australia. I think most of my class got out an atlas to look for the ones on the mainland and Tasmania. I, due to being bored and deciding to look up the Heard and McDonald Islands, which are two uninhabited islands in the middle of the Indian Ocean that are Australian territories, found out that they have the only two volcanoes in Australia. One of the two volcanoes was one of the tallest mountains in our t
