The grocery was selling watermelons for three dollars So I got on my bike, rode up to the store, and got one. Then I schlepped it home in my basket and that was my dinner. I'm a 23-year-old adult with an full-time office job and my own house and this is how I live my life.
If anybody were to ask me 'What was college like for you?' I would just show them this image.
(All these guys are friends who live with me; we have a house on campus)
MY BETH
Sitting patient in the shadow
Till the blessed light shall come,
A serene and saintly presence
Sanctifies our troubled home.
Earthly joys and hopes and sorrows
Break like ripples on the strand
Of the deep and solemn river
Where her willing feet now stand.
O my sister, passing from me,
Out of human care and strife,
Leave me, as a gift, those virtues
Which have beautified your life.
Dear, bequeath me that great patience
Which has power to sustain
A cheerful, uncomplaining
Yes, I actually made a new MOC. Unfortunately it's just a silly little hodge-podge of red and green pieces made for the contest. You can drop a post in the topic if you wish.
I think this bzp blog is just going to become a place where i post stupid conversations i have with friends. This was in reference to a dumb "everyone has six names" meme thing spoilers: I went on to lose this battle
Well, I bit the bullet and purchased a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite; I got a rather excellent deal on it), since I have homework that necessitated it. My Tecra is still broken, and prospects are grim. I still have not gotten word as to whether or not it can be fixed. I am out a fair sum of cash--a full third of the money I possessed--but far less than I feared. There is still a chance I may be able to earn enough between now and a certain date in the future to afford conveyance to that cert
A friend of mine complained about my lack of new entries here, something of which I am entirely guilty, so I'll pull a Ross-MacKenzie-style fill (which is not to say I am a fan of his editorials, actually; I would much rather see a Kathleen Parker of Leonard Pitts piece any day).

The play was absolutely phenomenal. All four nights were of highest quality, even when the audience was sub-par. The entire cast did a fantastic job and the crew was flawless. Even the program was awesome-
This is the greatest BBCC poll ever made.
Click the link. Look at entry four. Then look at the title of the poll.
If you still do not get it, read my post in the topic.
If you still do not get it, you are Dead to Me.

Consider this also a preview for something that will be released later this month. And with that, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night; I will see you in January.
FEELING HUNGRY, BZPOWER? Well, I haven't posted one of these in a while, so to make up for it, I'm posting two recipes - a complete meal for your pleasure. On tonight's menu: kafta, a Lebanese dish made from ground meat; and some spiced chickpeas one the side. Mmmmm. KAFTA Ingredients 2 pounds ground beef, lamb, or other ground meat (I used beef) 1/2 tablespoon allspice 1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes 1 onion 1/4 cup chopped parsley Note: I only made half of t

I logged into this site for the first time in two years to dig up an old recipe I'd lost...figured I'd post some recent pictures and a plug for my band while I'm here, for old time's sake. For those who don't remember me, let's just say I was once an admin...briefly. STRANGE LIPS, fronted by yours truly: http://strangelips.bandcamp.com (twitter/IG: @Strange_Lips). If you live in or around New York, come see us sometime; we generally play at least one show a month. Most-recent picture of m
If you build a great MOC of Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise-D, complete with uniform, you will automatically win the BBC Contest. But don't tell anyone.
This is basically the greatest song ever recorded

Love Shack! Love Shack, yeah
I'm heading down the Atlanta highway,
Looking for the love getaway
Heading for the love getaway
I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
and we're headin' on down to the Love Shack
I got me a Chrysler; it seats about twenty
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money
The Love Shack is a little old place

"Defying Gravity" by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth
Composed by Stephen Schwartz
Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes and leap
It's time to try defying gravity
I think I'll try defying gravity
And you can't pull me down!
Can't I make you understand, you're having delusions of grandeur...?
A beautiful woman appeared to me via IM or telephone or something (both, I think) and told me to update my blog. I told her I didn't really have anything interesting to say. She told me that I am silly and maintained that I needed to update my blog. So I am doing so.
Maybe I will make a more substantial update later?
Editing because I'm verbose:
BZP IN SUMMARY:
Also, as a side note, Smeag is dumb and his internet bill needs paying, so his apartment's internet access has been shut off. Hopefully all the bills will be paid by this weekend, but we shall see. Whatever the case, I'll only be able to log on sporadically in the meantime. Love y'all!
