Pokemon White 2: Day 3

Well, got my fourth badge and explored a little. Didn't do much else besides evolve... Oh, well, almost everyone.   Chirox, Crobat lv. 27 Macku, Azumarill lv. 26 Espeon, lv. 27 Pumbaa, Pignite lv. 26 Lucario, lv. 27 Elekid, lv. 28   Really debated on whether to get an Espeon or Umbreon. I like Umbreon's look more. A whole lot more, actually. But Espeon gets a better attacking move (and Umbreon's more about defense anyways) in Psychic, and my in-game teams have always lacked a Psychic type.

Pokemon White 2: Day 2

I spent way, way too much time making movies and slowly grinding so didn't get too far yesterday. And had homework to deal with.   But I got my third badge no problem. And my team's already shifted around a lot again:   Chirox, Golbat lv. 22 Pumbaa, Pignite lv. 22 Eevee, lv. 22 Elekid, lv. 22 Riolu, lv. 22 Maku, Azumarill lv. 22   But now I have three things to nickname ha. This is also the first time I abandoned my main flying type ever. But I went with Pidove's line in White so wasn't rea

Pokemon White 2: Day 12 - Champion!

After getting my whole team to level 60, I finally chose to face the Elite Four. I actually had some difficulty given half of them are weak to the Psychic and Ghost members, but I pulled it off with no problem. But then I saved my game and for most of the day studied for an exam...   That took 3.5 hours...   So as a victory celebration for completing it I faced Iris.   And won!   My first Hall of Fame team of the game:   Chirox, Crobat lv. 60 Megawatt, Electabuzz lv. 61 Pumbaa, Emboar lv. 60 A

Pokemon White 2: Day 11

Really didn't get to play much yesterday, and when I did itw as slow grinding. But that's fine because tomorrow I have a 24-hour gaming marathon in which I'll have plenty of time to stop being scared and face the Elite Four!   Oh, I also fiiiinally thought of a nickname for my Espeon! Now if only I could do the same for Lucario and Electabuzz before I go after the E4...   Electabuzz, lv. 57 Pumbaa, Emboar lv. 60 Lucario, lv. 59 Neku, Espeon lv. 60 Chirox, Crobat lv. 60 Macku, Azumarill lv. 60

Pokemon White 2: Day 10

Well White Kyurem was an absolute joke. My Lucario beat it with just a drain punch and an aura sphere.   Ghetsis, on the other hand... While not as hard as the previous game, he still nearly wiped me out.   And then I actually had quite a difficult time in Victory Road. Up until now I had been keeping my entire team pretty well leveled above what I expected. But now half of them are below that.   So as soon as I got through there I just went back to making movies.   Chirox, Crobat lv. 59 Esp

Pokemon White 2: Day 1

Let me start off by saying I didn't think being able to start off your journey with Pokemon from all generations would have such a fun factor, but it does.   Anyways, I've got two badges so far. And here's my current team:   Elekid, lv. 16 Timon, Patrat lv. 15 Tepig, lv. 15 Maku, Azurill lv. 15 Qwi, Pidove lv. 15 Riolu, lv. 17   Tepig's gonna be renamed Pumbaa as soon as I can. Still need nicknames for Elekid and Riolu though... Yeah, I decided to nickname everyone I plan to use for even a lit

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Demo Day

This demo was... interesting. It's definitely not what I excepted at the very least.   It was not just playing part of the game, like what usually happens in a demo. This was its own miniaturized look at the game as a bit of a side story we won't see in the game proper. It was a unique idea and not too bad, but it was really just too short to be that interesting. You can replay however many times you want - but really only doing it 10 is worthwhile to get all of the rewards that carry over to th

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 7

I really did not play much today on account of Thanksgiving. Barely any progress was made as a result. One interesting note is I did finally find my first new Mega Stone with Sableite (not that it was hidden that well heh).   The rest of my time was spent trying to get a good (read: Adamant) Groudon. Ohhhh boyyyyy... Mascot Legendaries are actually hard to catch! I am genuinely surprised but also please. Unfortunately the silly long cutscenes (only thought of as such since I have to keep doing

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 6

Slow progress again today.   Remember yesterday when I observed I hadn't found a Mega Stone in a while? Well, I've found 5 in the past 24 hours. Unfortunately, they're all still just for old Mega Evolutions (And I did at least check Sharpedo's... looks like I'm not getting that during this playthrough :/). One in particular had me a little bummed: Manectite. I swore off using a Manectric since I used one in my original Ruby run and didn't want to repeat that. But if I had just bothered to check

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 5

Continued my slow crawl through this game today by grinding. Lots and lots of slow grinding. I snagged myself a fancy Feather Badge in-between all of that though. So at least there was some progress made.   Really not that much interesting happened. I did scan a friend's QR code to enter my first secret base (and was most disappointed when I learned I couldn't battle him yet lol). Haven't bothered doing anything to mine yet... I know I'll find a nice place and kit it out eventually though.   It

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 4

Seemingly not much interest this year, huh? Meh... For anyone actually reading: suggestions on a nickname for Trapinch?! Was unable to come up with one myself I liked much.   I have gotten to the point of acquiring my Mega Bracelet! And wow, I sure did like how that was introduced.         Team building has been a big focus of today's play. A lot has changed and a lot of catching up needs to be done. I like the additions though. I am somewhat worried that I'll basically have three Dragon types,

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 3

What even is New Mauville?!?!   Seriously that radical change reeeeally threw me off. I also find it kind of confusing to navigate... But hey, at least there's the joy of technically using a bike in a building (since it's a mall). :3   Took out Wattson for my third badge with a little difficulty. I am really, really feeling the lack of a Fire Pokémon. It is a feeling I am not even remotely used to lol. I caught a Numel, but I'm not really keen on using a Camerupt... Not that there's likely to be

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 2

Got an excellent amount of time in today during my air travel!   I've now acquired two badges and even won my first contest - cool, with Hashirama. On a related note, I am currently soft resetting for a good Cosplay Pikachu heh. I'm definitely not going to be using it in my team, but it might be fun to train up later. What won't be fun is having a big gap in my Living Dex now where the other costumes will go... And the massive amount of box shifting that is going to involve uuuugh.   Team right

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 13

One ball.   One turn.   One attempt.   And a Jolly Rayquaza is mine!!   But before I got to that wonderful event... First, that rematch against Wallace was totally him as Champion (as implied in one of the scenes at the end of Episode Delta as well). And that was cool. After that, though... what did they do to Sky Pillar?! Where was the challenge? Where were the bike puzzles? Where was anything interesting about climbing it? This redesign was horrendous.   After catching the glorious Rayquaza b

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 12

Yessss! I got an Eon Ticket! My game wasn't glitched! Found one while doing some holiday shopping at a mall (and oddly just got Pokémon data; no people for my Streetpass plaza disappointingly lol).   Made a little more progress through Episode Delta today. I stormed Team Magam's hideout once more, which didn't explode. Huh. A part of me really, really does still wish it did. Now I'm ready to enter Sky Pillar once I withdraw my Jolly Synchronizer.   Which I now have. Because I also transferred m

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 11

I'm back, baby! (Although technically I came back yesterday, I just forgot to blog about it.)   I literally have not touched Omega Ruby since I left off. The first thing I did to prepare for it wasn't even in that game - I fired up Y again (and did some training for Pokémon I forgot about first) and bred a Jolly Synchronizer. I am not going through that again for Rayquaza. Deoxys I'll just beat and attempt again later. I also bought another year of Bank, but haven't done any of the transferring

Pokemon Omega Ruby: Day 1

Hellooooo everybody! And welcome back to ET plays Pokémon! This time, we bring you Omega Ruby!   I didn't play a whole lot today - because I'm flying out for a week tomorrow so will have a lot of time to play en route and wanted to play my console games tonight heh. I basically spent most of the day fretting over which starter to choose and after deciding, soft resetting. Lots and lots of that. And my choice my come as a surprise... Because I, the "Always. Pick. Fire. ALWAYS" guy picked...   Tr

Pokemon Omega Ruby - Day 9

Let me start off by saying, yes, I misspoke yesterday - Flash was not an HM. But I still would have been helpful for Victory Road. I ended up not using it of course and it did strain my eyes to see where I was going... but at least it wasn't a lot I had to get through.   The ending of Victory Road was fantastic. The changes to its scenery were beautiful, the music awesome, and fighting Wally felt important. It was a good fight too. He only managed to take out Hashirama (unfortunately), but sill

Pokemon Omega Ruby - Day 8

(Yes, Day 8 because I really didn't play for the past two days.)   I have good news and I have bad news.   First...   I DID IT!!   After SO MANY HOURS soft resetting, I caught an Adamant Groudon!! That took soooooooo long ugh. I literally got it as my 3DS was about to die too; it was my last attempt whilst flying today. I almost want to take back what I said about the difficult battle and the cutscenes. They're still awesome, but seriously Gamefreak... You know people care about natures. You wo

Pokemon Omega Ruby - Day 10

I beat the game!   The Elite Four was awesome. The scenery, that is. Really do love the changes they made there.   The Elite Four themselves were just boring. So boring. I beat them all with absolute ease and the incredible repetition amongst their teams sucked (all but one were different from the originals anyways, so why couldn't they have been changed bore?) as it just made them even more of a cakewalk.   Steven though... Oh man, Steven was tough. My first real challenging opponent in the ga

Pokemon

I've been doing some cleaning in my room since I don't have much else to do. In the process, I realized something was missing.   All. My. Old. Pokemon. Games.     I could only find my Ruby and Sapphire, but had so much more (helped only by the fact I kept my sisters' old copies). In all I had... Red Blue Yellow x2 Gold x2 Silver x2 Ruby x2 Sapphire Diamond, HeartGold, and White are safely with my DS. But yeah, I can't find most of the others. It's not like I'd really ever rep

Photoshop Help

So I still could use some help from somebody with Photoshop. The work would literally consist of just recoloring something. (Turning a red mask blue, white, green, brown, black, and silver/gray - and repeated for each mask.)   So if you have some spare time, please let me know!   ~|ET|~
